As I go about my daily walks, which currently takes me to indoor malls because it is 96° outside, I see that most people have already succumbed to wearing masks again, even before it has been mandated. When I was young (I’m 64) a word the Left used constantly was “equality”.
Equality for the sexes, equality for the races, and most importantly, economic equality.
All gone.
Their new paradigm is China – call it Corporatism, call it neo-feudalism.
A one-party state, ruled by a few very rich, very privileged people. What’s the good of being rich if you have no real privileges? Upper middle class people in America drive big cars, live in big houses on large suburban lots, and take two or three vacations a year (if they wish). Where’s the privilege for the super-rich in such a society?
This must change. The private automobile is an enormous target of the global warming types. Only the most privileged will have a private car. Most will be consigned to the bus. The electric car is a red herring.
The suburbs are more coveted than ever, after the demonstration from the C0-Vid pandemic that space (social distance) is the greatest of all privileges. The hostility of the rulers to the privilege of a suburban home will increase exponentially. You notice, of course, that the attack on the private car and the attack on the suburban home are mostly the same war, to the Left.
Finally, I reach my point. Walking the streets, living your life without a facemask will become the greatest of privileges. Your vaccination passport, your social credit score are the precursors to being permitted to live, to exist without a masked face. The deplorables, the white supremacists will most forcefully be required to wear their mask. The Left have been searching for this opening for a very long time.
since this started it has always been the politicians that have ignored their own rules but want to punish the citizens that don’t.
