This soundbite below from Meet The Press is reflective of the perspective of U.S. media toward the growing push-back from parents surrounding Critical Race Theory in schools.
The media are concerned, very concerned, that parents are starting to wake up. If this awakening continues, this could present a problem:
Yet another example of how fundamentally out of touch the individual members of our Lame Stream media has become in America. I fear WE are in the middle of America’s Second Revolution and the end result will mean America will not exist as it has been at the end.

Teachers’ unions, particularly the AFT (of which “Doctor” Jill Biden is a member) it particularly active in this. I doubt its prior president Al Shanker would have countenanced this but Randi Weingarten surely does. This union MUST be broken!

The Teachers Union is very powerful. President Reagan saw this powerful lobby for what it was back in the 80’s. He tried, unsuccessfully, to dismantle the NEA and came up just a bit short. It’s hard to imagine how much better off we and today’s children would have been if he would have succeeded. Carry on soldier!!

A week ago today my brother’s 13-year-old son had his 2nd covid shot. Less than 3 days later he died.
The initial autopsy results (done Friday) were that his heart was enlarged and there was some fluid surrounding it. He had no known health problems. Was on no medications.

K-12 schools are becoming overrun with toxic far-left ideology that is obsessed with identity politics, socialism, tearing down traditional values, and portraying America as a bad country.
Critical race theory and “inclusive math” are examples of this, but many of the far-left ideas being taught in schools now don’t fall under the purview of these labels. They are just radical, bad ideas.
People who are sending their kids to schools espousing these radical liberal principles can fight back in their current school, try to find a new one that isn’t teaching these values, or home school.
The problem is, it’s hard to actually locate schools that aren’t teaching extreme liberal views. A whole litany of public, private, religious, and secular schools in a large variety of communities are now disseminating these views.
Even schools that aren’t currently teaching liberal views can be corrupted into teaching them at some point in the future.
The attached article from the Edwardsville Intelligencer describes the extreme liberal viewpoints being taught in Edwardsville, IL schools. Keep in mind, this article only focuses on racial views. There are likely other radical views incorporated into the curriculum as well.
I only know about the situation in Edwardsville because Edwardsville has a local paper specific to its town that covered this topic. Most small towns no longer have their own papers or other types of local news outlets.
Some of these small towns might be covered by regional papers, but these regional papers often don’t cover local school issues this in depth.
This is a problem because it means that these extreme liberal policies could be implemented in a local school district with little attention paid to them.
For example, would any paper cover it if the nearby Granite City, Roxana, or Madison School Districts implemented a far-left curriculum?
There are many regional news outlets in the area of these school districts, but no news outlet is dedicated to covering these specific towns the way the Edwardsville Intelligencer covers Edwardsville.
The article quotes an Edwardsville school administrator as saying that there are nearby districts who have been teaching extreme liberal racial views for many years, but doesn’t mention who these culprit school districts are.
Here are some of the more noteworthy racially motivated things now occurring in the Edwardsville School District, and assumedly in the nearby unidentified school districts as well:
· There are two high paid administrators whose jobs involve propagating liberal views on diversity:
o Director of Curriculum and Inclusion: Tara Fox
o Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Student Services: Cornelia Smith
· The district deliberately recruits at job fairs at universities with high percentages of black students.
· The district received a $600 Healing Illinois Library Resource grant through the Edwardsville Community Foundation. The funds will be used specifically to support work around racial healing, including book studies offered to staff for professional development.
· School administrators are under the impression that “the pandemic uncovered inequities in our community like we’ve never seen before.”
Ironically, some of this “inequity” is the result of their own decision to hold remote classes which created hardship for students with no electronic devices at home to facilitate virtual school attendance.
· The district paid for Cornelia Smith to attend a 10-week training program at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. She earned a level two certification in “diversity, equity and inclusion.”
This sounds like a certification in wokeness to me. Personally, I’d rather be certifiably insane than certifiably woke.
· The district has a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Council comprised of woke local constituents. This developed out of an “Equity Task Force” that employed “listening circles.”
· The district hosts an online professional development course on “microaggressions.”
· The district mentioned a podcast series called “Floodlines,” published by the far-left news site, The Atlantic.
This podcast is supposed to be an “eye-opening” story of Hurricane Katrina from the survivors’ perspective and how the media shaped the narrative.
I haven’t listened to this podcast, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was liberally biased and full of senseless identity politics.
· The district uses the book, “Not Light but Fire” as part of their professional development.
This book was written by one of the district’s staff interns and is about leading race conversations in the classroom.
Apparently, the district isn’t content in using already existing liberal books, but is actively creating its own new radical books that will undoubtedly be used in other schools as well.
· The district’s racial education won’t be limited to social studies but will be applied to other subjects as well.
· The district is pursuing a Library of Congress grant to work directly with the Library of Congress’ primary sources to create lesson plans for the board approved “Black Experience in America” course at Edwardsville High School. They will eventually teach this at the middle school and elementary levels as well.

These leftist orgs cannot survive in a market economy, where they have to earn their pay by teaching our children what they need to know… I. e, without all that grant money. They take what you pay in school taxes, sales taxes, special district classes, then they go for federal grants, state grants, library grants, etc.
Who would hire them to teach this crap? Get your parents together, get hold of that budget, and see how much your district is getting from all sources, and then look at salaries and benefits.
They are YOUR EMPLOYEES, YOU PAY THEM. Pass an ordinance that parents get to preview and authorize all grants. YOU ARE PAYING FOR THEM.
Take your kids out. Starve the school. Refuse to pay the school part of your taxes. Get a lawyer.
They are just pushing the vax thing too hard. Cases are down, way down, but some people would not let you breathe without it if they could make that happen. Something smells like dead fish here.
It’s about time parents took an interest in what government schools are doing. America’s children are being indoctrinated by the Democ-rat Party in CRT! It MUST be stopped now!

Its about time parents started actually giving a damn about their children. If they REALLY CARED, they would pull them out of these government monopoly day prisons that masquerade as schools, and homeschool them, private school them, or whatever, and support candidates and work towards the complete abolition of ALL government involvement in education once and for all……but sadly they like to have others pick up part of the tab for raising their children, so they are fine handing their children off to the government to raise every day.
