Rasmussen has a poll released today highlighting the corporate risks involved in entering politics. Coca-Cola now discovering the cost of corporate wokeism as 37% of respondents say they are buying less product during boycott.
Thirty-three percent (33%) of Black adults say they are less likely to buy Coca-Cola because of the company’s involvement in the Georgia election law controversy, as are 35% of White adults and 44% of other non-white adults. As noted by the National Pulse:
[…] Respondents were asked several questions, including, “Is it a good idea or a bad idea for corporations to become involved in political controversies?”
Overall, 62 percent of respondents said that it was a “bad idea,” with only 20 percent saying it was a “good idea,” and 17 percent saying they were “Not sure.” When asked if they had ever boycotted a company over “political issues,” 52 percent of those polled said “No,” while 41 percent replied “Yes.”
The third and last question on the survey asked: “After the Georgia legislature enacted a new election law requiring voter ID, Coca-Cola was one of the companies that publicly condemned the law. Does that make you more or less likely to purchase Coca-Cola products?”
Over a third of the respondents – 37 percent – said that they were “Less likely” to purchase Coca-Cola products due to the company’s interference. (more)
Perhaps one of the more telling statistics is that 45% of those aged 40 to 64 are boycotting Coke’s corporate wokeism. This demographic is a key group with the majority of consumer spending power during the peak of their income earning. Losing 45% of the U.S. market audience is a massive hit, even for a global (multinational) corporation.
Time to start drinking rum and Pepsi.
Pepsi is as bad as Coke Politically !
Not sure about RC Cola but it tastes pretty good !
Thanks for the info. My doctor will be happy. Been on me to just drink water anyway.
RU kidding me? Pepsi was Woke a decade before Coke
Captain Morgan’s and Dr. Pepper is tasty.
Just Rum
Here’s more of what Coca Cola Co. owns:
https://www.coca-colacompany.com/brands
Here’s a more inclusive list. My apologies for the time you’ll spend reading it as there’s hundreds of brands.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Coca-Cola_brands
ha! This is great!
If you’re living abroad, it shows all the worldwide Coke Products and the country they’re available in.
Basically, everything that’s bad for you.
Thank you for the information on Coca-Cola brands! I will happily abandon Schwepps Tonic, Smart Water and Vitamin Water! I don’t use any of the rest anyway.
My 97 yo Dad drinks Vitamin Water (zero). Any replacement suggestions?
Check and see if your local Schweppes is bottled by Coke or by Dr. Pepper – they go halvsies on it; luckily for me my local bottler is Dr. Pepper.
Dr. Pepper is a Coca-Cola brand, so what difference does it make?
Coke is poison, quit drinking it years ago. Don’t drink any of the other crap either.
But coke is still a good cleaning agent for battery corrosion and polishing chrome bumpers. Wearing gloves is a good idea to keep the Fructose from entering one’s body.
The human body by design must eliminate Fructose as it is a foreign, unusable substance. Many health problems result.
If you’re like me and you stopped buying Coke, try these as alternatives:
I drink Iced Tea when I want caffeine, and Virgil’s All-Natural, Zero Sugar Cola for the flavor.
Virgil’s has no high fructose corn syrup, no phosphoric acid, no sodium benzoate, no aspartame, no sucralose, no GMO, and NO CALORIES!
And they also offer Root Beer, Vanilla Cream, Black Cherry, Lemon Lime, and Orange Cream, all of them Zero Sugar, All-Natural, Non-GMO, and No Calories!
CHEERS!!!
Virgil’s root beer is one of my favorite treats.
When I wanted to wean myself off of Coke for health reasons, I found that club soda with a bit of grape juice added did the trick. It gave me the fizz and sweetness, without the caffeine or bone-eating phosphorus. Sometimes I just do club soda with a wedge of lemon, especially if I’m at a restaurant. A fun way to drink more water.
Do you know if these drinks use Stevia in their sweetener? I am severely allergic to it, and they only list a proprietary mix. Most natural sweeteners these days are stevia-based.
I’m really surprised they alienated other groups of people as much or even more than whites people.
I for one will be consuming ZERO coke products – besides, once coke acquire a brand, they promptly ruin it with goals of ever higher profits.
F*ck C*ke
Sane people in GA. who are concerned about their vote actually *counting* and the small businesses, etc. that’ll suffer cuz of MLB pull-out are pi$$ed, no matter their race.
I am a water drinker, but my housemate immediately began buying the generic local brand of cola and finds it suits their purpose just fine. It’s dozens of bottles per month and it all adds up.
For those who are willing to buy Pepsi, they are just as bad and have a whole host of other products to boycott. Hurt them all.
I heard yesterday that Netflix is not doing so well anymore, thanks to the boycott of them over Cuties or whatever that was, and is moving their ops out of the USA, thanks to the Delusional Joe planned tax hikes and generally unfavorable and unwelcome attitudes toward bz. Maybe they’ll take their idiot Kenyan’s with them. 🙂
My idea was to take the case of Coke to the shooting range (private) and make every can of coke a target. Film it, upload it, and watch it go viral. Oooooh, what fun!!
Also, I remembered that Coke makes an outstanding toilet bowl cleaner!
Right now I’m doing taste tests
Pepsi No Cal
Pepsi Zero
Pepsi Cherry No Cal..
Might have get used to it or go back to just plain water..
Try club soda and add a little grape juice…
Sounds delicious
For what its worth… Six months ago I stopped drinking and eating anything with added sugar or artifical sweetners. I only drink plain water (somtimes with lemon or lime wedge), fresh brewed hot coffee, and hot/iced brewed teas. On occassion, I will drink flavored sparkling water – flavor only with NO other ingredients. This has been a major driver of losing 25% of my body mass.
Strongly suggest you make the switch to water and sparkling water. Whatever you choose DO NOT buy AHA brand as they are owned by Coke. I bought it on sale a few days before they decided to scream about the Georgia elections. The cans are still sitting there so maybe I will bring them to my friends shooting range for practice this summer (thanks to Treeper upthread for this great suggestion)
Sodastream is really good. Then you pick what flavors you want and the quality of your water.
Plain water is the healthiest. But I just can’t do it yet.
Decaf coffee swiss water process with some different protein or healthy fat cocoa powders to me is so awesome.
And flavored water like sodastream is delicious.
Caffeine stops neurogenesis (growth of new brain cells) so just check how much you’re getting of that.
Soda Stream makes a good product.
Falana, an enlightening post for me, thanks.
To your last point, I found an interesting link to coffee/caffeine that has altered my thinking:
https://www.inverse.com/article/31700-quit-coffee-brain-caffeine-withdrawals-neuroscience
President Trump needs to label the corporations who are supporting the Demo-commie-fascists as…..
Mussolini Fascist Corporatism.
We all need to label them as such. They call us Nazis. The only way to fight commies/fascists is use their rules/terms against them. Use their playbook.
I had just bought 4-6 packs of coke the day before they piped up with their bull, dumped them all down the drain and will not buy anything coke makes!
Leftist Warren Buffet — who used his BIG MONEY and pull on Biden to get the Keystone pipeline canceled, thereby destroying the jobs of many, many people — is a big WOKA COLA stockholder.
Oh, goodie!!!
Between him , woke Atlanta colleges that rely on Georgia
stocks splitting before they break ground, King and Spalding
law firm ( maine coon and I have many posts about what “great
people” they are) that is their legal representatives:
Present K& S employees Sally Yates, Rob Rodentstein
Former K & S employee : Chris Wray
Atlanta Braves? MLB ? Coca Cola.
Atlanta Hawks? NBA ? Coca Cola.
Delta Airlines? soda of choice? Coca Cola
Sing a long with Mitch ( YTG showing age, big time)
“Things go better WITHOUT Coca Cola
Things go better WITHOUT Coke
life is much more fun
when you’re not repressed
and Coke represses the best”
Unsweetened tea for me until they bow down and put an apology on every bottle and can.
“We will not engage in politics we offer a product and jobs not opinions”
Been a Coke drinker all my life (but, in moderation – I’m talking like maybe a single 6-pack of bottles imbibed over two-or-three months – I am really not much of a soda drinker).
Now I won’t buy Coke. But I won’t buy Pepsi either – I’ve never liked Pepsi – and I’m not going to suddenly love it to spite Coke. Bleh!
Might check into the more local or regional brands…
there are many many alternatives for cola drinks that are not made by Big Soda 🙂
Look into locally made alternatives and store brands. Most are craft made with real sugar & good ingredients.
Even better, stop the pop. It’s not good for your body.
Try Moxie
It really tastes different.
Moxie – Home (drinkmoxie.com)
Never heard of it – which seems kind of odd, considering they’ve been around over 100 years (per that website).
I’ll go looking for it and try it out. Thanks!
I believe Moxie is a small independent New England company. I don’t see it around much any more. Found mostly in small country stores. More popular fifty, sixty years ago.
Unbelievable! just checked out Moxie beverage on Wikipedia. It was bought out by Coke in 2018. Independent for 142 years before the multi-national got it.
Moxie used to be a lot more popular up until the middle of last century. My grandmother claimed it was awful, but I wouldn’t consider a bad review from someone’s experience 50 or more years ago sway me. 🙂
It is a Maine drink, and not for sissies!
I’m the wrong color for Coke but will be ordering building materials from HD tonight.
Delivered as a bonus.
These companies certainly do not understand the definition of diversity. Morons at their own peril.
It’s amazing to me just how many people are addicted to coke and all the other sweet fizzy stuff.
Too much old school in me, I guess.
I’m buying 0% less CocaCola Products….
I Never Intentionally bought any of their Poison to begin with !
May they go broke.
I have really gone back and forth as coke and sprite are my favorite, I don’t use any other coke products..Then I thought what can one person giving up coke and sprite really do? But then I read the wikipedia list of the hundreds of their products and something clicked. If I can’t do this one little thing like giving up coke and sprite, then what will happen if I am really tested to fight for this country by standing up to these tyrants. So, there you go, no more coke and sprite.
Walmart-brand Twist-Ups, knockoff of Sprite, are actually better tasting.
Good for you – this is awesome!
I used to make my own pop – its really simple & less expensive. Oh, it tastse WAAAAY better too.
Here is a recipe for lemon-lime that you should try to replace your Sprite:
There are many websites that can give your other recipes and inspiration.
https://thebrewproject.com/food-blog/how-to-make-your-own-soda-pop/
SodaStream makes a good product that eliminates all the need for experimentation and hassle, but I like the idea of making your own, too.
I weaned myself off any type of soda years ago! And I was a big Coke drinker.
I may drink half of one twice a year.
Amazing how once you stop drinking them…even diet cola….your taste buds change or whatever…
Now they are just gross!
Ice tea for me–lemon and no sugar!
I stopped drinking soda more than a decade ago. Maybe 15 years ago.
It make a big difference. Dr Pepper was my go to. I can’t even finish one now because it tastes so sweet.
I mostly drink water with a squeeze of lemon juice. Recently I started using bottled lemon juice I found in costco called Italian Volcano. Tastes much better than “real lemon” or whatever that stuff in the squeeze bottles is called.
I wished we had a good sparkling water brand here, like they have in Europe. Like San Benedetto or Aqua Panna. HEB has a good one but its not available locally.
I stopped.
But it wasn’t to protest Coke.
I stopped because the joy of their product was GONE.
The Pause That Refreshes. Dead.
What used to taste so good now just tastes bad.
Idiots and Prigs. NeoRacists obsessed with Racialism.
Malignant corporate vanity on full display. You can see it in the photograph of the new consultant.
Measuring and valuing the relative worth of a human individual by the color of their skin. And they monetize that to glorify themselves? So distasteful. That was Hitler’s code: the one drop rule. That is the legacy of Racialism in history and in modern practice.
The human individual is the most vulnerable minority of all. But instead, Coke monetizes and exploits the most vulnerable minority in our society to enrich themselves. They want to know the color of your skin to make the proper monetizing calculation. What a betrayal of the human individual. What a betrayal of the first principles of our great nation.
The bad taste will never go away.
I don’t drinking pop’s anyway and I careless about Them Anti America cooperation’s.
Coca Cola always been Anti America,
Just bought a 12 pack of my childhood favorite.
https://ibb.co/VvrpdWd
Amish approved. ?
I don’t normally drink soda pop with sugar, but Birch Beer is definitely on the list when I do.
I have been buying a few cases of Gatorade or Coke’s P0werade every few weeks when I shop. No More, in fact this week Powerade was on sale at the lowest price I have seen it in years and I paid more for the Gatorade.
Just to drive the point home while I was at Aldis I bought a bottle of store brand cola setting right next to the Coke bottles. I don’t even drink soda 😉
Never again.
Try coconut water. Very hydrating.
I have been buying the Goya brand to support them.
Coconut water is so good. How is that for blood sugar? I’d love to try Goyas.
no body in my family is buying Coco-Cola products…. Also we boycott NFL and NBA and now Baseball….. School games are the best anyway…..
Coca-Cola is verboten in our home! I also did not buy any for our Veterans Organization. Frank Harrison Sr. would have fired everyone involved in this treachery what was an iconic American Brand, now a Globalist travesty that sells flat and diluted chemistry set concoctions!
Make quarterly financial reports highly stressful events again.
ROTFL
Their stuff is absolute poison. They’ve done more damage to our national health than cigarettes ever did. Fizzy sugar water that has turned two generations into overweight Type-2 diabetics. Their “diet” or “sugar-free” crap is no better.
I am buying no Coke products. Sooner or later conservatives, and hopefully others, will realize the power of the pocketbook when confronted with corporate stupidity. If users of Twitter, Facebook, You Tube et al would simply close their accounts the censorship would disappear tomorrow. Wake the f*ck up conservatives!!
Sodastream is really good and healthy. Sodas are horrific for your health anyway. Sodastream is carbonated water. You can put your own filtered water in it, some Mio, Buble with some Stevia or any healthy thing you like. You save money. Save your teeth. Get healthy. I understand they’re Israeli and so you’re helping against the BDS movement.
I still don’t know why we’re off coke but I’m doing it since all the Conservatives are really mad about whatever they did or said.
I’m off Chobani now due to the posters here.
Dannon Greek Light and Fit is awesome.
Boycott and buycott
Our money has to rep our values since they’ve stolen all our other rights
Far out! None for me, baby. To heck with Coke. They can keep their swill and their politics. Up yours Coke!
If any of you like ginger ale, try Blenheim Ginger Ale. It’s made in my home state. Originated in the next county over where my grandfather was born. Nice and spicy, great as a mixer, too. Good stuff.
O.M.G. !!!!
Hadn’t thought of it in years, but remember Eric Roberts? Julia Roberts
older brother ?
Get on Wikipedia . Read his films prior to him making a movie that
basically criticized how Coca Cola operated back when .
“The Coca Cola Kid”. Where a young hot shot from Coca Cola tries
to shut down a local small competitor down under. He gets framed
by the locals to try and stop him, but , if memory serves correctly
Coca Cola wins in the end.
Bad career move. Fantastic Actor at the start of his career. Especially
if you ever have a chance to see “Run Away Train”. Which was made
a year after “The Coca Cola Kid”.
Get on “Eric Roberts Filmography ( Wikipedia, I know).
Look at the trajectory his career went one year after making a movie
that was less then flattering about Coca Cola.
YTG had a Coke moratorium for years. Because of
The local Dekalb political shmucks that would put Coke cans front
and center at cable access movies. Generally, when they were getting
ready to reward their backers and screw the local voters.
and
Watching what was done to a gigantically talented person that had made
the mistake of starring in the WRONG MOVIE.
Nothing is by coincidence.
The fools at Coke, Delta, MLB, etc. need to listen to this.
Mark Robinson, Lt. Gov, N.C.:
No Coca-Cola Products of any label allowed, in our home, now, nor will I buy them for Veteran organizations and others!
I notice the wall of drinks is always full of coke products, now, passed by a whole lot of people for the few alternatives that haven’t been forced out of business by predatory Global Coca-Coal Monopoly business! There drinks are now flat, full of hgh fruitcose corn syrup, under the new name of natural sugar and a chemistry set of non natural ingredietns.
I haven’t had any rum since I was in high school. That shit is sugar poison. I don’t drink any coke or pepsi products, either, so no butthurt on me.
i wonder when the american citizen is going to realize that they OWN the corporations not the people on the board of directors? most stocks are own by mutual funds not individuals. that is the money from your pensions, your ira’s your 401k plans, your savings and investments. as an example, how many people remember james kelts, of the gillette razor commercial fame? kelts use the entire resources of a company he did not own to advance his own personal political agenda he owned all of 2 one hundreds of one percent of gillette stock. it is time the owners of these corporations started telling their employees on the board of directors what they want instead of letting the board members do what they want.
I think this is awesome. I had been buying vanilla coke because they started making it again. Not now. Hard stop. Screw you Coke.
Habitually ingesting liquids capable of cleaning car battery terminals is generally not a healthy choice.
No Woka-Cola products in my house.
“No. I ordered a Pepsi. If you don’t have that, I’d rather just get water.”
I see good advice below that Pepsi is no better. Guess it is just water for me at the restaurants. Boss lady and doctor will be happy. 🙂
This is why drinking Tito’s and soda with lemon and Makers Mark straight up is way gooder :-D.
It’s not just about Georgia and its election law in the micro. It’s about the future of this country. It’s whether you support #BLM, illegal immigration, corrupt DOJ/FBI, courts and judges, trannies reading to your children in the public library, the Colorado wedding cake baker, and everything else JoeBama will do to us. It’s not just to drink Coca-Cola or not to drink. Coke has taken a side. They get their privilege to speak from your Diet Coke. @TargetCoke
I have to say something here, popular or not and it got me banned from Citizen Free Press last week but…
What are we doing here? We need more investment, business marketing Analyst in conservative circles. ?
I don’t agree with the effectiveness of these boycotts nor do I see any data in sales or marketing where it’s showing in the least. I say this from the position of being a conservative with a back ground in business analytics who highly disagrees with Cokes political stance but also highly disagrees with ineffectiveness of inept political responses in reply… It embarrassing.
International markets have largely replaced the effectiveness of localized boycotts in the US market. Coke is a great example of this. Look at their 3-6 month stock prices, look at Facebook, look at Twitter, their booming, their futures are all positive. I don’t make these numbers, I don’t own their stock, I don’t buy, use or sell their products… I’m just stating the OBVIOUS facts in the data.
Coke sells over 1 BILLION bottle of coke daily worldwide.
Facebook has 3.2 BILLION users.
Even in smaller markets this becomes even more apparent.
The NBA, NFL, MLB have all run the course of domestic boycotting over the last 2 years and I have seen much “to do” about how these boycotts are supposedly hurting them by using cherry picked TV ratings data and ignoring the whole picture.
All of them suffered losses in 2020 (covid), however all of them gained in over all team, league and franchise values… How? … We’re no longer their markets and really never were a sizable percentage. Specifically the NBA who has seen some of the biggest backlash still gained a 4% increase in value in 2020…. That’s an impressive number in the world of investing given the market conditions.
The NFL has 400 million worldwide fans.
The NBA 420 million
The MLB 440 million
Brand merchandising sales have not changed either… I’m not sure if anyone’s noticed but there styles went “thug” a long time ago.
Worldwide digital distribution has replace “TV” ratings. ALL TV CABLE markets are declining. Cherry picking that as successful towards any of these things is just silly if not out right propaganda in a type CNN level.
My point to jumping up and down on this subject is this… I worked for one of the worlds largest entertainment, cable and digital companies. During 2018 while the BLM and others were going woke the made the decision to hand over millions in support of these movements.
Their analytics of loosing their conservative markets vs their gain in overall “woke” markets were based on several things but one never talked about is the costs of services provided vs the savings of services not rendered. In other words, they did the math and we were written out of the equation in many cases.
If you can generate revenue via “wokeness” it’s marketing.
If you are a service provider and you don’t have to bare a cost in one place while gaining in another, it’s a profit.
If you don’t put a plane in the sky and bump a flight, it’s not necessarily a lost, it’s a cost savings.
These are not cake shops and pool companies were talking about here.
Promoting news about airline loses from covid as being an effective boycotting measurement is propaganda. (I’ve seen done on several sites now)
Another side of this is the simple lack of participation, which I find to be wholely embarrassing. If we’re boycotting then let’s at least actually do it. ?
Fox News is a great example of this. They were able to recover ALL of their losses in viewership between November 2020 and March 2021. All… of… it… If you are not tuning back in, great (I quit watching Fox 12+ years ago when Glen Beck called Ron Paul supporters terrorist)… But do understand that the majority of people are and others have added themselves into thier market.
Trump, the guy that told his base Fox News was fake news and to swear off of them does his first sit down interview on Sean Tick-tock’s show??? Anyone else see the irony to that?
80 million trump voters, but your actual participation level paying attention is probably about 10% of that. So 01% of the US population?
Something much older and with a far larger effective audience. Christians decided to start boycotting Target over “happy holidays” vs “merry christmas”… 10+ years later Target is still saying “happy holidays”. I still don’t shop there out of respect of the idea and I don’t even identify as religious!! But enough apparently do because they are still holding on “happy holidays”.
There is a lot of confusion about supporting a company vs boycotting one. My Pillow is a great example of this with a primary US domestic market. We can put them over the moon in sales. Goya Foods found a new group of customers in their US domestic market that never existed before to great effect. In the world of international markets however we are less than .003% in many cases. These companies are turning profits, their boards are approving the wokeness and their shareholders are getting paid.
The right needs to focus on EFFECTIVE methods, not magical unicorns. We also need more people in tech, software, analytics, marketing and investment who speak up about what works and what does not.
I apologize if my thoughts piss anyone off, I’m just looking at the numbers and pointing at the data and asking “what gives?” It’s not something I should be banned from conservative sites for! But I also have much more faith in CTH and Sundance than I do CFP and Kane… Wholeheartedly disappointed!
Walmart’s store brand soda is manufactured by (I believe) Refresco Group BV, Netherlands using local bottlers. IMHO no discernable difference between their 65 cents per bottle soda and the Woke-a-Cola soda across the aisle costing three times more. Save about $1.25 per bottle while voting with your wallet.
Just saying.
Boycotting coke for your health makes sense, boycotting coke to hurt coke, not so much, watch the video to learn why!
https://www.lewrockwell.com/2021/04/no_author/monopoly-an-overview-of-the-great-reset-follow-the-money/
Less should be zero.
I don’t believe polls but i will know how much it is costing them when they report their sales.
‘Overall, 62 percent of respondents said that it was a “bad idea,” with only 20 percent saying it was a “good idea”… ‘When it sunk into my thick skull that that meant that 1 in 5 people think companies should be mucking around in politics, the wise words of Hank Hill came to mind. “I think body piercings are a good thing. It gives you a quick, reliable way to tell just by looking at em that something ain’t right.” Those 20% should have to have visible piercings.
Would like to join the movement to not buy, but quit buying ‘croak’ years ago.
Went into a store yesterday and was looking for a bottle of water. All I could see was dasani,so I looked through all the other cases and didn’t see any other brands. As I was leaving I looked in the bottom of a case and there was a few bottles of cheaper water, bought 2.It took about 5 extra minutes but woks-cola will never get another penny of my money.F you coke!
Stay away from Minute Maid which is also owned by Coke.
