Rasmussen has a poll released today highlighting the corporate risks involved in entering politics. Coca-Cola now discovering the cost of corporate wokeism as 37% of respondents say they are buying less product during boycott.
Thirty-three percent (33%) of Black adults say they are less likely to buy Coca-Cola because of the company’s involvement in the Georgia election law controversy, as are 35% of White adults and 44% of other non-white adults. As noted by the National Pulse:
[…] Respondents were asked several questions, including, “Is it a good idea or a bad idea for corporations to become involved in political controversies?”
Overall, 62 percent of respondents said that it was a “bad idea,” with only 20 percent saying it was a “good idea,” and 17 percent saying they were “Not sure.” When asked if they had ever boycotted a company over “political issues,” 52 percent of those polled said “No,” while 41 percent replied “Yes.”
The third and last question on the survey asked: “After the Georgia legislature enacted a new election law requiring voter ID, Coca-Cola was one of the companies that publicly condemned the law. Does that make you more or less likely to purchase Coca-Cola products?”
Over a third of the respondents – 37 percent – said that they were “Less likely” to purchase Coca-Cola products due to the company’s interference. (more)
Perhaps one of the more telling statistics is that 45% of those aged 40 to 64 are boycotting Coke’s corporate wokeism. This demographic is a key group with the majority of consumer spending power during the peak of their income earning. Losing 45% of the U.S. market audience is a massive hit, even for a global (multinational) corporation.
Since they got rid of TAB – Who cares!!!! I mean about Coca-Cola brands!!!!
Fresca replaced Tab.
No Diet Coke essentially replaced Tab based on sales, even though Coke continued Tab and didn’t officially drop it until last month (March).
Tab was a caramel colored cola carbonated drink although they created various versions especially for other countries.
Fresca is a clear citrus (grapefruit) flavored carbonated drink. It competes with the clear lemon-line flavored soda market. I personally prefer Fresca to lemon or lemon lime sodas, but stopped buying it a few years ago.
TAB – stood for Totally Artifical Beverage, hence the name TAB. The people that created it called it that because it was a first diet
Soda and wanted to give it a catchy name. I used to work for Pepsi Cola – I worked at the world headquarters in Purchase And since I only drink TAB I didn’t have a lot of friends there ?
Fresca= strong tasting
I thought they stopped selling Fresca after all those hillbillies went blind!
I drank Tab, and it was terrible!
I agree to disagree 😉 Another reason I LOVE CTH and all of you!
Tab? Fresca? I haven’t seen either one since I was knee high to a grasshopper.
Our local Walmart has Fresca. What they don’t have is Cherry Dr. Pepper…
Excellent! The power of the purse still works and it’s relentless.
We need to boycott the democrat racism when we see it. Their whole party is built on racism.
I thought the Coke recipe’ was no longer protected by patent and anyone can now make it.
If I was an entrepreneur (ie, lots of money), and seeing how many conservatives would love to permanently break with the fascist multinationals, this would be a low risk investment.
No patent but a trade secret AND the original recipe was discovered and a sample made to comparison test. The recipe’ was from way back so is an early one but the taste is close.
Again. This could be replicated by any entrepreneurs willing to service the non Woke demographic.
Coke was never patented, just like WD40 or the Colonels secret recipe of 11 herbs and spices.

That is one huge list….!
I guess the CEO didn’t drink enough smart water before he opened his mouth.
He’s woke. It wouldn’t have mattered how many gallons he guzzled.
He wasn’t hired for his intellect.
Fanta Strawberry soda…I will miss that one.
Barq’s. 🙁 They both make great ice cream soda’s too! Oh well.
A generic brand of root beer is great . . . I forget the name of it, but it’s what I use for ice cream soda.
Fanta all flavors are good.
Strawberry was my favorite.
Just posted above but just discovered Goya makes soda and they have grape, orange, strawberry, and pineapple (I think those are all Fanta flavors) and several others.
No idea how it tastes but I just discovered Goya makes soda and they have a strawberry soda.
https://www.goya.com/en/products/beverages/tropical-sodas
I used to buy Smart Water. I stopped ages ago thank heaven. Everything else in that picture is verboten to me. They are all full of poisonous substances that I do not allow into my body.
Ah DAMN!!! I used to love and drink Calorie Countdown milk because it only had 2gms of sugar and “tasted better” than regular milk. When they discontinued distribution in California, I tried all the low sugar milks in my local grocery stores and finally settled on Fairlife. Now I guess I have to keep looking for a new milk since I spy my milk bottle in the photo. UGGGGH
And a little bit of research has shown me that Safeway has a Lucerne branded copy of the Fairlife milk, so since I’m out of milk, I’ll be buying the house brand from now on and saving $1 per half gallon too. Thank you Sentient for posting that photo, I would never have thought that Coca Cola owned Fairlife Milk.
Here’s the list from the Coke web site:
We need more to boycott, be diligent, look at every label, do it forever!
It’s not like Georgia is a deep-red state (unfortunately) like Wyoming or Oklahoma. Whether or not the presidential or senate elections were perfectly fair and corruption-free, no one can dispute that they were close. So if a state with a close political split can’t even pass a balanced election integrity bill without corporations like Coca Cola and Delta Airlines getting all up in their business, things are WAY out of whack. Anyone who spends one red cent with Coke or Delta is responsible for enabling their meddling – and I live in a Delta hub.
Well, if you include voter and election fraud, we’re a blue state.
Georgia is a deep red state. Atlanta is a Hare Krishna commune. Mixed together they make purple. It all went to hell when the Olympics came to town
I occasionally fly from Atlanta to Anchorage. Delta is the only airline that has a non-stop flight. I will be changing planes from now on. Get Woke, Go Broke, Delta. And take Coca Cola, Bed Bath and Beyond, Kohls and every other anti American company with you.
A shareholder needs to file a lawsuit against the CEO/Board for violating their fiduciary duty. Publicly traded companies must make decisions that protect/increase the value of the company to the shareholders.
This survey shows they, the shareholder, have been negatively impacted on a pure personal, political decision by the CEO/Board.
Milton Friedman introduced this concept in the 1970s. The new corporate buzzword is “stakeholder” value. Both are BS, and the City Bankers have used America to support the communist countries they rule for the last 100 years
I’m not the right color, Coke doesn’t want me, so I don’t want them.
Watch their other products they make a ton! I’m not the right color for any of them
I cant remember the last time I drank soda- probably 30 years ago. God made a special drink just for us- WATER! I admit to going crazy and drinking iced tea or coffee ‘tho. Who needs Dope- A- Cola anyway.
Right there with you! Tea and coffee have lots of good phytochemicals in them. They’re not just artificially colored, chemical water with phosphoric acid that eats the enamel off your teeth!
#MeToo. From the tap. 😉
My wife drinks so-o much Coke Zero I have always thought she was addicted to it. However, of late, she has been coming home with Pepsi!!! She ‘get’s it!’, while the fools at Coke do not.
Having seen the “pressure” being applied to Home Depot for NOT coming into the Woke Joke fold, I went online and ordered a couple hundred dollars of outdoor equipment. Just sayin’–Support Home Depot for standing against the Woke Joke culture. Cave and you lose my support. Goes for them all!!
The store manger at our local HD was talking to customers by the checkout counter when I was buying some things yesterday. I told him the only reason I wasn’t across the street at Lowes was to show support for them for keeping their mouths shut. He just laughed and said “yeah I get it”.
What did they try to do to Home Depot? I’m glad HD stood strong against it.
I think it was the bathroom brouhaha. So stupid. That got me out of Target and Macys for good. (As if people couldn’t figure out where to pee or put a roof over their heads before woke culture stepped in to ‘assist’ them.)
It is prolly close to 100% here in the Treehouse.
I’m down to the last few cokes left and won’t be buying anymore. And don’t forget it’s not just coke. They own dozens of other companies. Here are a few.
&f=1&nofb=1
Switching to Modelo Dark
Please do switch. My son works there!
Sundance needs to put both this chart – and the other one someone posted today with just the drinks – into a prominent position on CTH and his Twitter feed.
Folks, JUST LOOK under the corporate names at the top of this chart at these 3 global conglomerates’ sales in 2017!
Is it any wonder they have gained so much POWER? The most effective thing we can do is boycott them and buy independent brands, especially those with conservative values!
He also should put links to BUY AMERICAN websites where we can do research on products made in the USA. I’ve posted a few here a bunch of times but don’t have the reach that he does on this site.
“Individually we are a drop but together we are an ocean”
ABinBev’s Patagonia is a totally marxist company.
A shame the percentage isn’t much higher.
Never will I ever,… drink a coke product again. I even through away the coca cola glasses in our game room. No woke-cola for this house.
The joke’s on Coke.
They have sold us all sugar water for 140 years. That is a pretty big joke on us.
Why can’t they ever bloody poll me? I would give them an ear full of anti-Coke diatribe (and this comes from a Southerner who formerly called all carbonated drinks a “coke”).
I have always been a big consumer of Coke brand Fresca, a grapefruit juice soda. During the early pandemic days, it became scarce here in New England and I discovered a better tasting local brand (Polar) which has a sugarless pink grapefruit juice soda. Better and not Coke. Allegedly good with vodka.
All those people standing on that hill in the 70’s singing about teaching the world to sing in perfect harmony were full of it?
Wow, that didn’t age well.
I thought it was silly when it was new. Maybe that’s just me….I’ve been an old fogie since I was about 25 years old, and that’s over 50 years ago now. Stupid and silly is obvious from the git-go.
Much like Don Draper in Mad Men at the end.
The real Don Draper’s largest account was Marlboro. He created the iconic Marlboro Man. That ad campaign killed a generation of Americans to lung cancer.
I knew the original Marlboro Man. He died young of Lung cancer.
Yeah . . . “singing in perfect harmony” crap. That’s a GREAT example of what I call “smiling evil.”
Evil in the real world is often difficult to discern.
Evil in the real world often wears a smile.
That’s why … in movies . . . the villain wears a mask and black cape. That way the viewer can identify it. Evil in movies is CLEAR, and it’s made clear because otherwise many people wouldn’t see it.
For example, Andrew Lloyd Webber wrote Evita (Don’t cry for me, Argentina) . . . and he THOUGHT people would understand that Evita was an evil woman. After all, she was the wife of a dictator. And he THOUGHT people would understand that “Don’t cry for me, Argentina” was an example of a very evil woman manipulating people with nice words.
Unfortunately, just as in real life, many viewers couldn’t figure out that Evita is evil.
In real life, evil doesn’t wear a black cape. It wears a friendly smile and says sweet words.
Home Depot declined to be woked and of course is now under attack.
Georgia religious leaders on Tuesday called for a boycott of Home Depot over the company’s refusal to speak out against a new law restricting voting access in the state.
The move from officials, representing more than 1,000 churches in Georgia, underscores how activists continue to target companies in Georgia to use their considerable political influence to protect the right to vote. Georgia-based Coca-Cola, another boycott target, as well as Delta Air Lines came out forcefully against the restrictions, though only after they were signed into law.
The faith leaders said in a statement they were targeting Home Depot after representatives from the company declined to attend a summit of corporate and church officials recently. Home Depot has declined to specifically oppose the Georgia law and even went out of its way, when the law was pending in the legislature, to tell the Washington Post it did not oppose the measure.
Georgia churches call for Home Depot boycott over voting rights stance | US voting rights | The Guardian
Georgia “churches”? I am willing to bet Jesus is not part of those “churches” either. Gotta go spend some money at Home Depot.
Home Depot, My Pillow, Goya.. the list keeps shrinking. Maybe we should also come up with a list of MAGA companies to support! Positive reinforcement works great too!
I would bet the majority of people who shop at HD are not Liberal Loons.
Yes and many folks wonder why many, ( I spoke with several this morning) God fearing men would never consider entering a church.
The ones near us are ALL on the SJW band wagon.
All are WOKE!?
God bless PDJT
Just another cooperate shakedown. The Obiden administration will probably follow up with some kind of punishment for HD. It’s how they roll.
For a very different take on this entire question of boycotting big corporations, see http://www.stopcorporanttyranny.org a relatively new webb site whose CEO advocates a much more activist approach patterned after the tactics of the leftist who have been much more successful because they have been more disciplined than have we conservatives. They buy stock in corporations, attend business meetings, write resolutions, and then vote, vote, and then vote some more until their efforts pay off in moving corporations to get involved in leftist political positions.
You have toys in your link. It’s https://www.stopcorporatetyranny.org/.
No more Coke products on my household. The CEO does not live in the U.S. On Bill Bennett’s Podcast last week, they announced that he lives in the UK.
The really interesting part is that up to going “Woke”, the Coca-Cola Company actually already had a quite racially diverse make up in its Executive Ranks. It is not as if Coke has had a lily White Executive running the company in a “biased” manner, then suddenly hired a bunch of diverse Executives.
One of those Executives was none other Julius “Dr. J” Erving.
Of course those pre-Woke Executives have gotten or would get the Herman Cain treatment should they have acted to end this BS.
I grew up in the city where Coca-Cola was first bottled & Pepsi didn’t have a presence for years, not too strong now, and I hate that the corporate a$$holes feel that they need to interject their liberal policies. I don’t care what their “leadership team” thinks. Until Pepsi does something stupid, I’ll but 7-UP for my son, but no more Sprite. My wife and I gave up soft drinks several years ago.
Yeah, it’s weird how advertising can make a person feel good about a product. For many Americans, Coke used to be almost a symbol of the United States.
Shows the power of advertising over our minds.
It’s time to destroy Coke. It’s only a product. And the association that Coke made in our minds with itself and the USA is actually, in my opinion, evil.
It was trying to link love of country with a sugar drink. That’s kinda disgusting.
I’m a Diet Pepsi fan so I can’t actually buy less of Coca-Cola products since I don’t buy any. However, Pepsi is not much better so I’m buying and eating/drinking less of their products now and finding that it doesn’t bother me the way I thought it would.
I’m also done with the NHL. I kept listening and watching despite some earlier stuff, but the statements put out by the NHL, my formerly beloved Washington Capitals, the Flyers, and multiple other teams after the Chauvin verdict this week were the last straw. Check them out on twitter (@capitals, @nhlflyers) but be prepared to be offended.
One other thing that needs to be mentioned is which restaurant or “fast food” places serve Woke Coke fountain drinks in their establishments or as a part of a “combo meal”. Fountain drinks are a huge part of the Woke Coke sales in the entire nation. McDonald’s is just one big seller of fountain Woke Coke that comes to mind.
Look at the menu or ask what drinks are served. Then order or decline as needed to avoid the Woke Coke corporate activism.
After asking what drinks are served, one could add, “Don’t you have anything that isn’t a Coke product?” before declining.
When you’re trying so desperately to be woke that you are too radical for 33% of black people, you’ve jumped the shark.
@Charles Dodgson
Most Black people are not Marxist. This is why the Democrats had frame the law as a Jim Crow style policy
to foment major backlash against it. The “Go Socialism!” approach wouldn’t work. Ask Bernie Sanders.
Sadly, the GA GOP is so inept that that can’t clearly explain that the voting law isn’t Jim Crow.
Less Coca Cola products? How about NO Coca Cola products!
BTW, can anyone in advertising/soda market tell me how Mountain Dew came to be so popular among black Americans? Was there some kind of a marketing strategy or ad campaign directed at that demographic originally?
37% is way too low.
Like many things, conservatives will vote with their feet, but keep their actions quiet. So expect that 37% is under reported!
Fight, Fight, Fight!
I used to have a coke with my various (and numerous ?) fast food stops, but no more Woka-Cola for me.
Dr. Pepper > Woke-a-Cola
IIRC, Keurig/Pepper now owns RC Cola.
Fewer….
Older age group here, but this family no longer buys Coke products. Screw ’em.
“Losing 45% of the U.S. market audience is a massive hit, even for a global (multinational) corporation.” So, how much are they selling in China, Europe, the Middle East and S. America? Can they afford the hit from a drop off in the US market? If so, they don’t care. It’s kind of like the film industry. They don’t really care how much they lose in the US market when an actor pops off and turns off half their US audience. They can make it up in the far East.
China is the main issue of all those areas you listed. That is why all these US corporations get on their knees for the CCP. If a couple of million of people don’t watch the NBA in the USA, that is a drop in the bucket compared to how many Chinese now watch it. So basically the NBA could care less about us boycotting them. That goes for all these corporations.
Maybe . . . but it’s the American consumer that makes a product cool.
Look at the mask wearing . . . human beings are monkeys. Monkey see, monkey do. Most people are FOLLOWERS.
Well, the world looks at what the American POPULACE does. They shouldn’t, but they do.
When something is cool in the USA, people in other countries think, “Yeah, let’s do that, too!”
It’s the reason the Chinese are buying blue jeans.
So . . . a corporation loses its fans in the USA . . . that’s a BAD SIGN.
And you know what? It’s not so bad for the rest of the world to follow our lead. We have a tradition of freedom in this country. And that’s its own kind of POWER. It’s the power of the people.
If you go into the grocery stores they are discounting Coke products big time. Massive BOGO’s going on, which tells me they are feeling the heat. 37% is a huge drop in customer demand. Hope it rises to 50%.
I wasn’t asked (, but we have given up our caffeine free diet coke over a month and no withdrawals.
Keep in mind folks, when you “Patronize” an establishment (restaurant, fast food, bar, circus, movie theatres, fairs, golf clubs, hotels/motels, deli, book stores, convienant store fountain drink dispenser, etc)
which offers beverages **ANY BEVERAGE**, pay particular attention to your choices.
If one of your choices is “COKE”, there is a extremely high probability (Contractual agreement) that ANY choice you make will be a “COKE” product…
One way or another
If you really want a “Refreshing” drink..
Choose water.
It does a body good
(Or so I’ve heard tell)
If you really need the “JOLT” to your system, grab 12-15 packets of sugar from the condiment caddy – and stir it in.
(That’s all a “COKE” product is really…
SUGAR WATER)
If that doesn’t quite float your boat, ask for some pancake syrup, a glass of seltzer water and a lemon wedge.
Pour the pancake syrup into your glass of SUGAR water, give the lemon wedge a squeeze (or 2) and top off the glass with some bubbly seltzer water.
Stir liberally..
Bon Appetit…
I won’t buy a Coke product again. I’m not a big buyer of any of their products to begin with.
I’m not a big brand name buyer of anything, there are so many decent generics out there.
It doesn’t have to be all or nothing. I’m picky about my tea. If coke had the only one that agreed with my weird stomach, I’d still buy it, but dump everything else that was part of the Coke family.
I sometimes used to enjoy a Coke when we went out to eat. Not any more, if a place has only Coke I’ll have ice water. Enough people do that and a restaurant will drop Coke because they are losing income. You don’t have to make it a big deal, just say you don’t like Coke! A place switching to Pepsi, is 100% change, not a 37% one.
I know some would say, don’t even keep buying anything of Coke’s. But I’m realistic. If you were buying 4 or 5 different items from their line up and stopped buying all but one…. that makes a dent in their income.
No Coke … Pepsi.
Pepsi was woke before coke was woke. I’ve been boycotting that too.
Cheeseburger, cheeseburger, cheeseburger, no Coke…Pepsi
My wife drinks coke.
She asked me to get her some from the store the other day.
I told her no, and why I wouldn’t.
She said ok, get me Pepsi.
Yeeeaaahhhhhh.
I already gave up on sugar water years ago. Then I found out that artificial sweeteners cause a change in the the gut microbiome that can cause metabolic syndrome (insulin resistance) which is a key cause of weight gain for many, so those are out, too.
21 November 2017
The Association Between Artificial Sweeteners and Obesity
https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007%2Fs11894-017-0602-9
Although artificial sweeteners were developed as a sugar substitute to help reduce insulin resistance and obesity, data in both animal models and humans suggest that the effects of artificial sweeteners may contribute to metabolic syndrome and the obesity epidemic. Artificial sweeteners appear to change the host microbiome, lead to decreased satiety, and alter glucose homeostasis, and are associated with increased caloric consumption and weight gain.
Thank you for sharing Winston.
This is sooo true. Unfortunately, the sugar & sweetner industry does everything they can to hide the facts from people.
Bottom line is that your body REQUIRES almost no sugar. Eating just small amount at one meal can typically be processed by your body (and less than 40 grams a day). However, adding more & more will really distrub your insides eventualy creating metabolic syndrome. If you continue, your body will eventually destroy itself and you will die a slow painful death.
Most of the ‘Woke’ people I know don’t drink soda. The Coke company has tried to get them with their fancy waters and other drinks.
But Coke is still a major part of their brand and I don’t know many soda drinking Bernie bro types.
So to my mind Coke has played to a soda market that really isn’t theirs.
I gave up soda 15 years ago. It’s so Terrible for your body. I will drive 9 hours to see my family, before I will fly 1 1/2 hours on Delta with a mask on. I have done it 5 times in 10 months. Driven that is.
I was so angry with American Airlines that I switched to Jet Blue. Now they’ve begun merging their routes together. Can’t win.
Is there a MAGA airline in the house? There certainly should be! That Green New Deal promises to finish off domestic travel.
Airline employees and travelers ..take note.. before we go back to the horse and buggy!
I went cold turkey.
I used to buy Dasani waters–now I buy something else.
Go woke, go broke.
Well, Good luck. Hopefully it’s more successful than Nike/Kaepernick boycott (Nike up 50% since)
Powerade; Minute Maid; Fanta; Hi-C; Dasani; Capri Sun; and many many more I’ve never even heard of.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Coca-Cola_brands
No Coca Cola EVER AGAIN. This is NO TEMPORARY BOYCOTT in our house. We now KNOW what that company stands for.
No Coca Cola products, either. That includes MANY softdrinks, etc. They are ALL OUT in this house. NEVER again.
There is NOTHING Coke can do to get our business back. No nice words from them, NOTHING.
WE now know what that company stands for.
We are WOKE ON COKE.
