This well-written report about the recent Senate Armed Services Committee discussion with the National Security Agency (NSA) needs to be absorbed with the prior information as context. Persecution, the 8th stage of genocide, is being conducted within the military, or is that simply discrimination? The next stage is extermination, followed by denial. It is confusing following the 10 stages of genocide, since I don’t see evident signs of preparation yet (stage 7). We see polarization, calling everyone who doesn’t agree with the left, “racists”. There is certainly discrimination within universities against anyone on the right. Only 5-10% of university professors identify as Republicans. Many universities have no Republican professors at all. Marxist professors outnumber Republican professors.
Do we see dehumanization? I see it on the internet (spread by my own family members, no less). It is hard to imagine extermination coming soon without evident signs of other forms of persecution. However, perhaps removal of Republicans from the military can be counted as a form of preparation. God I hope not. However, it is an immutable principle of human nature that an evil act will be performed at the first available opportunity. Someone will find a way to do wrong. That is why the power of government must be limited: The government is the only group within society that may lawfully wield guns against the populace.
Part of the problem is the failure of the DOJ and the courts to come down hard on abuses of police powers by the FBI, CIA, NSA, IRS, etc. Misuse of these powers is now mandatory by whomever is in power. Since there is no constraint on domestic spying, these powers will find themselves abused to the maximum extent possible. The bounds of abuse are sure to be stretched to their limits within the current system. Unfortunately, there seem to be no limits to this abuse. As a historical example, it was well known that generals like Patton read biographical and historical information and documents on enemy officials, military and civilian, to better understand personality and tactics, including by enemies in the near and distant past. Get inside the head of the enemy. Key to battle success when real lives turn on success or failure.

I can’t believe I am actually writing this, but SERIOUSLY, go check out some of the Russian new sites. For example: RT (Russia Today) or Sputnik News. They remind me of the way American news used to be. And RT is no joke. I travel a lot in South America, and ten years ago, I used to see all of the television sets tuned into CNN International, but now more often than not I see RT SPANISH. When I ask people why they switched, they all say: “They just want basic international news and the US media is simply unwatchable now”.
Yes, there is some pro-Russia spin on those sites, but it is not that great and way easier to parse than the absolute gaslighting coming out of US corporate media. I have made RT the center of my news consumption and then branch out to places like the Conservative Tree House, WUWT (for climate), Substack (for cancelled journos like Glen Greenwald, Matt Taibbi) and Zerohedge (for economic news).
I have not missed the US media at all, and can clearly see that I am way more informed than most of my friends, family and acquaintances who are still stuck in the US corporate news bubble.

I post this all the time, but it can’t be said enough: The people that work for the US Government including most contractors hate you and anyone else that supported President Trump, or lives in flyover country, or actually believes in what the Bible says.
They really, truly do. I see their comments on social media saying as much and they get 50 to 100 likes from other bureaucrats/contractors. Or they openly say it at work. This has been the case since obama but after Trump was elected the hatred was insane.
If you want to know what these people think and what they say just read the comments section of the Washington Post it’s pretty representative of about 90 percent of the people who live in DC and its suburbs. The only decent people you’ll encounter in large numbers in the DC area are legal and illegal Hispanic service workers and their kids.
