First I want to make this clear I’m not against the police. Now that being said, history has taught me that in times like this when a totalitarian government is taking over a nation they as a group have sided with them as it’s clearly seen throughout our country today. So we should not think that they would ever side as a group “WITH THE PEOPLE”. But I think the people need to unite and maybe be more like that pastor. Together we can definitely win.
I used to back the police, but if 2020 showed us anything, it’s that the police forces of the US will willfully allow themselves to be used as the enforcement arm of the democrat socialist party. That oh so precious police pension must be awesome.
It’s not the pension. It’s the manner in which they are taught to operate. If you’ve been in the military, it’s a completely different world. The police are similar. They are taught that it isn’t their job to question the laws, but to enforce them. They’re taught that it is the courts job to interpret whether a law is valid, legal, constitutional, etc. The police follow orders, just like the military. And the “blue wall” is sacrosanct.
The police aren’t there to protect you. That’s been driven into their minds by the courts, too. The police aren’t there to save you. They aren’t there to stand between Right and Wrong. The police are there to enforce the law. And guess what? As the United States of America went from a Constitutional Republic to a Socialist Democracy this past national election, so too went the police. They’ve been programmed for it for a long time.
That’s why I say that the local and State level elections are now critical. Who controls law enforcement? Sheriff, mayor, governor. You need Constitutionally minded people in those positions.

I was in the military for 21 years and can tell you this, I would have resigned my commission before following an illegal order violating the Constitution. I saw which side the cops were on prior to the 2020 election, when they willingly stepped aside and let ANTIFA and BLM burn down cities while at the same time going to parks and beaches and arresting people for not wearing masks. As far as I’m concerned, they’ve allowed themselves to become the modern day Nazi Brown Shirts.
Let’s just look at the blue demo cities:
We have seen the mayors defunding the police for over a year.
They have actually eliminated a lot of positions and the original officers had to leave the city.
What has been hidden is that those mayors hire in actual ANTIFA and BLM members as replacements for the officers who are gone.
Presto, the police force is now the enemy of the people.
So, before blaming all officers, look at what has been happening in the city.
The corrupted mayors have replaced many good officers with bad ANTIFA and BLM members.

Pastors like that are few indeed. We have tried a few churches in our adopted home state and thought we had settled into one. I was listening to a vocal coach talking about something totally unrelated to COVID. She was talking about how there has been research done in relation to singing in groups. Apparently when you sing in groups your body releases chemicals whereby you form bonds of trust with the people you are singing with.

Quick anecdote… as children we would be singing along to one song or another… another sibling would start to tease about how bad the singing was… Mother would always intervene and say no matter how bad someone’s singing, if they’re singing they are happy! Therefore, sing on!
I can relate, Deplorable Nazarene. My singing is horrible, yet I know my Lord loves to hear me in worship. Fellow congregants turn around when I’m singing, wondering where that terrible sound is coming from. After I saw that, I always sit in the front row!
