Devastating. There are no words to adequately reflect the sadness in this day. Our beloved Rush Limbaugh has passed away after a battle with lung cancer.
Wings of angels dear friend,…. on wings of angels. Let us mourn deeply!

Rush Limbaugh, the monumentally influential media icon who transformed talk radio and politics in his decades behind the microphone, helping shape the modern-day Republican Party, died Wednesday at the age of 70 after a battle with lung cancer, his family announced.
Limbaugh’s wife, Kathryn, made the announcement on his radio show.
The radio icon learned he had Stage IV lung cancer in January 2020 and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Trump at the State of the Union address days later. First lady Melania Trump then presented America’s highest civilian honor to Limbaugh in an emotional moment on the heels of his devastating cancer diagnosis. (more from Fox News)

God rest your soul Rush….good and faithful servant. Can’t even put in words how much we will miss you. Hearts break.
A man to whom the Lord gifted with great talent. Until we meet again…
Found in the bin… 🙁
Thank you!
When we carve the conservative Mount Rushmore for the greats of the 20th century, the only 3 people will be William F. Buckley Jr., Ronald Reagan and Rush Limbaugh. No one did more to influence my beliefs or help me to articulate them better than Rush. He is solely responsible for getting me out of my post ’92 election doldrums and entertained me with his brilliant wit for nearly 3 decades. Due to business concerns I simply haven’t been able to listen as much as I would like over the past few years, but Rush never lost his preeminent spot in my mind.
My deepest sympathies to his wife Kathryn, his brother David and all of his family. His loss is incomprehensible. He cannot and will never be replaced.
I would think Rush would want Donald Trump up there with him!
Oh, no. My son and mom listen every day. They are going to be heartbroken. God bless Rush’s family and friends and give them comfort and holy peace.
How sweet of you to think of your mom and son.
I will miss dear Rush. It is probably crazy to feel like I’ve lost a beloved friend but that is how I feel. Rest In Peace with God.
I knew it was coming, just praying he would have more time. I will miss Rush more than anyone on TV or radio ever. In the end all that matters is are you prepared for God’s Judgement & eternity? All in Gods will and hands. We are heartbroken ? and sad. ??
Rush Limbaugh was the GOAT !
Never will be one like him. We knew this day would come and Rush excellently prepared his audience for this eventuality with hope that he may be able to beat it.
He fought the good fight and now he is with the Lord as we all hope in the ultimate salvation ??
We must carry on the fight. He was a warrior for the Right and truth. His adversaries are disgusting people and will show that today. That should all the more motivate us to never, ever give in to them!
RIP Rush Limbaugh!
I am so saddened by this news! Even sadder when you read people’s comments on social media reacting to this news. These people are sickos and I am frightened that I have to coexist with this trash.
Yes. Disgraceful people make comments like those.
Rush was truly the greatest.
Just remember that people who are so crass at times like this have no soul, no moral compass and no right to be heard. Sickos? Absolutely. Pity them. They cannot help but be callous, hardened fools.
This one hurts. I first heard Rush in August of 88 in the week after the GOP convention. Quayle was roasted as a draft dodger and things didn’t look good for Bush1. Rush basically said this election is over, GHWB was going to win and win easily. Of course that’s what happened.
I didnt always agree during the Bush 2 years but he was still by far the best in talk radio. I am sorrowful for his death and for the country’s loss.
Pray for us now, you who so loved our country. Pray for us ???
An extraordinary man, a gift for our times. We were so fortunate to have him for the time he spent with us. Lord, will he ever be missed.

The greatest broadcaster in the history of the medium, the one individual more responsible for shaping my own worldview than anyone, and one of very few among the punditry and commentariat whom I trusted implicitly.
There will never be another. Truly the greatest.
R.I.P. Rush.
Rush was to the conservative message much like Billy Graham was to the Christian message. He believed in these principles with all his soul and he lived them in his daily life. He was generous with his treasure, faithful in his duties and a true friend to countless of listeners whom he never met. He leaves a huge vacancy, but thankfully one that he has taught so many others to attempt to fill. Well done, Rush. We will never forget your intellect, humor, and your patriotism. We will continue the fight.
Just don’t do it
Well, you know what? During my nightly ritual, tonight I will dig into one of the humidors and likely pull a 20+ year old ISOM robusto Edicion Limitada and smoke it in honor of Rush.
Yeah, he was young at 70, but seriously, a life well lived is better than a long life not lived.
cheers to you both!
REALLY????
Was this really necessary?
Let he who is the without sin cast the first stone.
Frankly at this moment, it’s not the right place to stand on a soapbox about smoking. I have a friend who is and has always been committed to good health, eating right, exercising religiously and never smoked a day in her life and yet was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. Without getting into a debate about smoking, I got news for ya………………we’re all gonna die some day. I hope people can find more compassion for the deceased and their family rather than pointing to things we may wish we could have changed before the good Lord calls us home.
I’ve been listening to Rush since 88-89’…His show was on WMYR1240 AM….I was 18…..I remember at the time thinking to myself I believe what he believes….It’s never changed….
I remember when Pat Buchanan would sub his show in the early days….Not sure what happen there….I remember when Charles Barkley would call in on a fairly regular basis in the early days…Not sure what happen there either……
Rush Limbaugh is a Legend in talk radio and Conservatism whether you agreed with him or not…..Today is a sad day….However, I’ve been blessed to listen and be educated by this man…. Thank you Rush! RIP
I am so supersized. I mean surprised. They always seemed like such kind people. And so classy too.
As Rush always said, Twitter is a sewer.
Leftism is a hate movement born out of a mental, emotional and spiritual deficiency.
Remember these are the same pathetic excuses for humans that cried out “The wrong Trump died” when President Trump’s brother Robert passed. They have no shame. Leftism=Wrongism!
Vaya con dios Rush.(Just a little Spanish lingo)
?????
Wisdom and courage.
How many more have we had? Reagan, Clarence Thomas, DeSantis shows promise. Always a short list.
Rush started off with a reference to Sundance and the Treehouse on what would be his final show, Tuesday, February 2, 2021….
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyMd11KI0Lg
He reference Sundance at the start and also at the 56 min mark, however, if this was indeed his Iast show everyone should listen just for that
I heard that show, Never thought it would be his last. A fitting bookend. He was the one that brought me to the CTH back in 2015 when he read and discussed Sundance’s Open Letter To Jonah Goldberg.
Listening to it makes me think he is still alive.
No words here, only tears.
really gonna miss this bold conservative voice. Right 99.9% of the time. He taught me how to THINK and not just follow along like blind, dumb sheep. A great American and a great gift from God Almighty.

RIP. Without doubt, the greatest radio talk show host there ever was and ever will be. A man who brought the concepts of conservatism to countless millions, Condolences to his family. He will be missed enormously.
We knew it was coming, and it still hurts. The first movement I ever joined online was Rush Babes which was in response to the Sandra Fluke/ Georgetown(Catholic) / contraception fiasco. My parents listened to him from day one. I followed along occasionally back then but have been consistent with him since Pres Trump’s escalator ride. Guess I’m going to my grave someday as a Rush Babe. Proud of it. RIP Rush.
Just turned on the radio to Rush’s show…he’s lambasting the left for their terrible treatment of the minorities!!
Rush is getting the last word!! Thank you, Rush!
Now the accolades.
I felt the same sense of loss when Andrew Breitbart died. God Bless Rush, his family and those that love him. No one can match his brand of talk.
At 95, my Dad still has all of his Rush Limbaugh ties. He introduced me to Rush. Rest in peace Mr. Limbaugh – I know you are now safe with Jesus. We pray for Katheryn, for peace and comfort.
You are home in the arms of Our Lord… we will never forget you… RIP… God bless your beautiful wife Kathryn & all your family… America has lost a true Patriot!
Rush has been a part of my memories of politics and our history for the past 29 years.
My boyfriend, now husband, turned on the radio and introduced me to Rush in 1992.
No matter what crazy things were happening in this world, I could tune in to his show!
God bless you Rush, and his incredibly strong wife: Kathryn.
Go with GOD….. Good Patriot….
God is taking all the good ones – the ones we need here on earth. May he rest in peace!
A giant has returned home.
We were truly blessed to have known him for so long.
We all knew it was coming, yet still I am sad and grieve for our loss.
Go rest high upon that mountain.
You have earned your crown.

Have to give Rush Credit, he went out still on top! One of the best liberal trolls ever. He beat them at their game and his legend will live long.
….shuffle some papers…..”with half my brain tied behind my back to make it fair……..! Rock On Buddy! You are in our thoughts and prayers.
“Talent on loan from God.”
Yes, indeed you were, dear Rush. ? You were a bright, shining light of truth. R.I.P.
God reclaimed his talent on loan today on Ash Wednesday. Best friend I never met.
In 1989 I took leave from the navy to drive south so my family could meet their new grandchild. I remembered walking into the house and my parents were watching the Rush show. I never knew of Rush, but his analysis stopped me. I stood there admiring his sound words.
I asked my Dad who’s that? He told me and that he just started this new show. I said he makes sense, hence my parents said together “that’s why we’re watching him.”
God bless him!
The gifts he had, the many GREAT things he did for this Country, Veterans and others will never be matched by anyone….especially his RUSH Revere books! God Bless you Rush….

Rush Lirmbaugh was more than an inspired radio talk show host. Rush was a friend that came to our home every day and helped bring common sense, a sense of sanity and humor to events that seemed too be beyond our control. I have adult ‘Rush Babies’ that are joining with us in grieving his loss today.
Looks like God called his talent on loan home. Rest in peace Rush you deserve it. This is terribly terribly sad.
I was 25 years old when I walked into a friends garage and first heard Rush on the radio, and for the first time heard someone in media echo what I thought and felt about the world and government. I spent many hours after that listening to Rush. It is truly a sad day today in America. Rest in Peace Rush.
There is something you should understand about the way I work. When you need me but do not want me, then I must stay. When you want me but no longer need me, then I have to go. It’s rather sad, really, but there it is.
1 Love 2 Rush and 4 all he has done for the conservative movement
This was from Chrissie Hyndes to President Trump about Rush Limbaugh 1 year ago today.
Dear Mr. President,
I often think of how much my father, Melville “Bud” Hynde, who proudly served his country as a Marine on Guadalcanal, would have enjoyed your Presidency. [p1.]
The other day when you gave that award to Rush Limbaugh, my father would have been so delighted. He loved listening to Rush, which is why I allowed my song, ‘My City Was Gone’, to be used on his radio show.
My father and I didn’t always see eye-to-eye. We argued a lot. But isn’t that the American way? The right to disagree without having your head chopped off?
Soon, I will be participating in a protest in London against the extradition of #JulianAssange (@wikileaks). I know my father would be mortified, but I feel strongly enough to do [p3.]
what I believe is the right thing; to protest further punishment of a man who sought to defend Freedom, albeit in a way you rightly disagree with.
I know Mr. Assange broke the law (as i have done defending the treatment of animals) but I believe [p4.]
he has been duly punished and should now be set free. Please consider my plea.
Yours truly,
Chrissie Hynde of @ThePretendersHQ
(@MrsC_Assange)
In Heaven, Rush is thinking I wish I could explain this to my EIB audience.
I am saddened beyond measure today. Way back in the 80’s I was driving across Nevada and doing the usual dial rotations when I came upon a talk show guy who was saying things I actually thought and agreed with! Thus began a long ‘friendship’ that brought me so much wisdom and joy and so many great memories! I just pulled out his book “The Way Things Ought to Be”. When I got it, I sent it to him (with a large SASE) and asked if he’d autograph it. He returned it, personalized and signed, to treasure—especially today. See you later, El Rushbo!
Rush truly was the greatest of all time. He was the most important “voice on the radio” for patriotic conservatives. I’ll never forget the first time I heard his show in the 90’s, I almost never had lunch alone after that. If I missed the live shows, I’d enjoy the podcasts later in the day. I will miss his wisdom, humor, honesty and passion. Rest In Peace, Rush.
My deepest sympathies also to Katherine, Bo Snerdley, and his entire family and team. As sad as I feel for the best friend I never met, they must be devastated.
We have lost a champion and truth-teller, but his legacy will live on in all of our hearts.
The night is cool
The wind is high
A wave of light
Breaks through the sky
He will be warm
As he is there
In those golden fields
And easy air
Very Beautiful
Rush Limbaugh; one of my all time top ten favorite radio hosts.
The Golden EIB Microphone shaped my teenhood…

Thank you Mr. Rush Limbaugh,
You did good works.
You helped to make this a better place, than how you found it. (some of that traction towards whole truth still remains to shine, over time – and can….) imho
I trust that you may find that the Lord may agree with the body of good works and / or ditto.
James 2:22
