In essence Cassidy voted to support the UniParty agenda because he feels the era of Trump is over…. the cocktail class republicans are looking forward to getting back to the corrupt system of Wall Street financed graft.

It was another impeachment farce. The constitution clearly states that the chief justice of the supreme court is to preside in the senate when a president is tried.. (Article 1 section 3 clause 4) Instead we had senator Leahy presiding AND voting in the proceedings.

Leahy also provided testimony, so he was witness, judge and jury.
If McConnell voted to acquit because he believed the trial to be unconstitutional, then why did he accept the impeachment charge and hear it? Answer, because he thought he could swing it up until the point he realized he made a bad move.
The talk about criminal prosecution is reprehensible in the extreme. For him to accept the charges, believe it to be criminal, delay a political trial, and then acquit for political purposes is a wholly inverted scale of propriety. It’s sick. If McConnell spent his last days in prison–even on trumped up charges–I wouldn’t care one whit.
