Well, the case should be decided by the SC, but what we have seen is that members of one branch like to take on the role of another branch.

it a vote for standing/jurisdiction…according to rule set by house manager affirmed by the senate, today’s vote only required a majority. So the jurisdiction votes that resulted in a majority allows the impeachment to be tried in the senate. So it is important. It is a humiliating defeat at every level. This should have been very easy considering the shocking numbers of defects that show this impeachment to be nothing more than a fraud.
but one needs to be reminded, these people are only pretending to follow the law. the rules here are entirely up to them. this is NOT a court, not a criminal court, not a civil court. it is a political circus…with hand puppets and emotional dramatists and jazzy hands.

There has been talk that the Senate will be allowed to vote in secret whether or not to convict President Trump. Pure Uniparty backroom dealing where self-interest has everything to do with how the vote will go, i.e. what committee assignments are offered or threatened to be taken away, what particular Senator’s special interest project will, or will not, be given the green light – all using President Trump as their punching bag, while the actual needs of the nation be damned!
In such a situation, secret voting, there is a strong chance that President Trump would not be acquitted because the voters, the ones who are expected to hold these politicians accountable, will only have their individual Senator’s say-so that he/she voted to acquit when in reality the opposite could have happened. That’s how little these politicians think of us.

When Donald Trump announced his bid for the Presidency I got involved, but I got involved in the Republican party only because they forced Donald Trump to sign an agreement with them that he would support the eventual Republican nominee. So, I worked for the Republican party because that was the party Donald Trump knew his beliefs were closest to.
My beliefs too on the platform, even though they almost always vote the same as their democrat cousins.
I told the woman from MN GOP I was no longer a Republican and that I knew TONS of people who would never again vote for or donate to the Republican business venture.
She asked me why and I told her that the Republican party could not even support their own President, but instead stabbed him in the back. I told her the demented sock puppet in the oval office does not belong there, and no one from “our” side fought for election integrity. I told her that every Democrat fully supports the sock puppet — or his handlers anyway — and Republican couldn’t help our President.
She said there were a lot of Republicans who did not like President Trump, as if I’m supposed to find that a comforting reason why our Republican President — and us — were stabbed in the heart while they did the dirty deed themselves. President Trump did not run to be “liked.” He ran on a platform of specific policies and specific actions THAT HE IMPLEMENTED EXACTLY AS PROMISED except for when he and 65 or 70 million voters wanted laws changed or created. The Congress refused to support ANY of the policies we all voted for except for the tax reductions in the December 2017 actions passed by the Republican Congress.
I don’t vote for a president based on whether he or she is likable. I vote for the proposed platform and my estimate of the candidates integrity and likelihood of actually keeping their pledges.
