If they had supported President Trump, even a little while he was in office and had supported him during the time of the election, and fought even just a little for an investigation into the fraud, our President Trump would still be in the oval office. I have researched starting a new party in my state. I can tell you that the DEM/REP factions have put in place a very high hurdle to starting a new party. Not impossible, but it takes several years to meet all the conditions and milestones to get a party’s candidate on the ballot.
I am almost of the mindset that a new America First organization with a corresponding PAC administered/run by President Trump would be a formidable weapon. It could endorse candidates who espouse America first positions and start boycotts of those that don’t. Imagine the power of saying to citizens, we don’t endorse so and so, we do not recommend voting for them. BOOM!! They’d be gone.
Of course there would have to be some measure of accountability to those who accepted funds from the PAC.

I know some states make this very difficult, but in Texas it is relatively straightforward. It will require a lot of work here, but probably much less effort than trying to fight with the entrenched RINOs. A new party in the states where it is possible, plus new MAGA Republican primary candidates in the other states might be the best option. New party, plus take over the Republican party where needed.

If my math is right, 2 Billion dollars is only ~$25 for each of the ~80 million Trump voters. A new party or takeover of the GOP doesn’t matter until the fraud of 2020 is resolved. Period. There will never be an honest election again until this happens. We can have twice the money, twice the membership and every other advantage but when those counting the votes can manufacture just enough to win, it does’t matter.
I think if the third party is of sufficient size in registration within a state, they can demand to participate in counting votes in some manner, and I’m not talking about being observers from 10+ feet away. Sure this likely varies for every state but it’s necessary to explore up front before decision is made to start the third party.

Not to nitpick, but I have been saying that on threads for days. And have been largely ignored.
As a former dem who walked away in 2016 when I saw what the y did to Bernie, I can say that there are many, many democrats who are unhappy with the uniparty and would vote for an America First party. I think it’s hard to predict how it would turn out, since there really is no precedent for this situation.
Yes! I think there are points to be made on both sides of the question of whether to start a new party or try to take back the R party, but I think this is a point that isn’t getting enough consideration. There were a whole bunch of new R voters this cycle, completely because of PDJT. I think the ability to widen and deepen the coalition is stronger if it isn’t attached to the R party.
A new third party gives everyone the opportunity to feel like it represents them authentically. I think it would create a lot more enthusiasm and energy that could be contagious, drawing in others who might still be on the fence or just so used to things as they are.

The newspapers used to have actual “reporters”, rather than ‘readers’. While the papers were typically slightly ‘left of center’, they actually had some talent and investigation capability. They are also bitter about the digital media taking their rice bowl. There is some remaining capability.
In the past, newspapwers could not collaborate (except for the AP) because of antitrust concerns, which are completely vitiated now.
A new media company allied with remaining smaller newspapers (other than the NYT/WSJ/LAtimes, etc.) would give them a way to collaborate, have professional mobility, and recoup some advertising and subscription revenue.

I’m feeling like I’m getting blown off by the local county Republican party even. They are there daily now in the office, their only contact is email, all I asked is what is their current number as the one that is listed isn’t working. These are the same people I had went in a couple weeks prior to ask what is going on, and what about censuring Gonzales like Wyoming did Cheney, among other things.
It’s been several days since I asked the phone number, we’ll see if they will still respond or not. But if not, I’m sure they marked me down as some kind of dissident and not as America First as I thought.
I don’t know who or what is going to organize a third party, but we would need local and state also. Especially if the local is going to blow off angry Republicans.
