Indiana you declare dem or rep in the primary and that choice follows you until the next primary. Of course you can vote your conscience in general election.

You are right. If you drop out of the party you do not become an Independent- you become what is known as a “blank” meaning no party.

I find the GOP to be unexplainable. McConnell could not have done more to lose the GA Senate races. Losing the Georgia Senate seats is primarily the fault of Kemp and Raffensperger, corrupt Republicans who aided and abetted the fraud and would not allow it to be investigated in a meaningful way, much less corrected before the Senate runoff elections.

Fighting the left can be done on economic and cultural fronts as well and a real opposition party would be extremely useful in organizing and galvanizing mass action instead of having individuals venting their frustration. It will depend on broad based resistance that damages the economics and influence of the left by setting up alternatives to everything they have from social media to education to credit cards.
