We have a rather unique situation here… The digital U-Haul is loaded after our eviction from WordPress/Automattic for violations of community ‘wrong think’ and questioning narratives against the interests of Big Tech. After a decade on the platform we are sweeping up the porch and saying farewell to the WordPress community.
The CTH family is disappointed at the business position of Automattic, but we are also excited about the new home we have created. CTH 2.0 is going to be awesome, liberating and even better. We are so blessed and fortunate beyond my wildest imaginings.
Right now we are patching the holes in the walls and running the vacuum while our long-time friends stop by to express their anger about our eviction. Simultaneously, those who moved away to the big city are coming back to visit and express their support.
I cannot go into details, mostly because I haven’t yet decided whether to accept a proposal for a grand exit – or stick to our customary & understated simple wave farewell, but the big city folks want to use this eviction as a warning of sorts.
Apparently, the youthful rebellious spirit within those who sold-out to mega-media conglomerates and bright lights has been triggered. A spirit we at CTH retain.
Out there in the land of the MSM right now there is a group of ‘journalists’ ideologically reminiscing for a time when the counter-culture was fighting for the truth; damn the consequences and without care for wounded feelings, delicate sensibilities or financial livelihoods. They reflect on a spirit we have retained and protected within our CTH community. A spirit we will never stop safe-guarding from enticement and compromise.
We are rag-tag misfits, we are proud of it, and -if needed- we clean up well.
We are a crew more comfy eating pizza from box on a tailgate than trying to fit in with a new media outlook of highfalutin’ big technocrats. We are, quite simply, the rebel alliance.

In late 2017, I followed a link posted by someone on another blog which pointed to one of your articles concerning Trump’s economic game plan and his policies concerning a complete reset of our foreign trade agreements.
After reading that article, and after realizing that it clarified the details of the Trump economic game plan in a way other web sites didn’t or couldn’t do, I spent several evenings reading eight or ten other CTH articles covering a variety of topics which are of interest to true conservatives.
After that initial exposure to the articles being written here, I put CTH on my daily ‘must read’ list.
How did you find yourself a member of the CTH community?….
After several months of being a lurker, I decided I would post a comment whenever I thought I could add value to an article, or to add my two cents to the ideas and opinions being offered by other CTH participants in their own commentary.
And why did you stick around with this group through whatever endeavors you found of value?
I enjoy being in the company of people who absolutely refuse to be intimated by the anti-American, anti-freedom forces of evil now trying their level best to corrupt American society and to bury our heritage as a free people.

I came to CTH because of Sundance’s extraordinary ability to match the information about the Soft Coup(my general description of the last four years) from primary documents with timelines. No one else online has this canny skill and he proves it again and again. No one else can draw out an accurate description of the players involved and their evil roles The worst part about the internet right now is that all data, all information is suspect, but I can always count on Sundance for accuracy, insight, and the truth.
I stayed because of the quality of the discourse among members. I must admit that I am not a Christian, that the farthest I can go after 70 years is the Golden Rule, but those individuals who are dedicated to Jesus are good, honest individuals who have the strength and dedication to fight for their country, the Constitution, and Donald Trump, and that’s enough for me.

As a Canadian we have no such venue, and our “news” is 100% leftist bias.
My personal cynicism and skepticism runs deep, however here at the CTH I feel like “I belong”
An added benefit is that my education has vastly improved as a result of the articles posted, and the comments from the learned posters.

I found you through a mention on a Gateway Pundit article.
Being a conservative misfit (the only one in my abode) can get quite lonely.
Coming here I saw people who in many cases shared my opinions. Also in cases where opinions differ, I found people displaying a thought process and not just regurgitating what they heard other people say.
Articles are well-reasoned and encourage people to think and not just accept what the author says at face value.
Lastly, the commenters are top knotch. The set up let’s everyone contribute to each others’ understanding without things becoming cluttered.
It also nice to find somewhere where you can be part of a community. Where you feel like you belong.

I have no idea as to how I first heard about the CTH, but I arrived during the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman case and I have been lurking ever since. I have thoroughly appreciated the deep dives into all manners of political stories since that time and I have suggested many a friend…and foe, take a gander at the stories that are posted here.
But I somewhat miss the early days when you would rally the troops to crowdsource information on all manner of topics. I can’t say I personally found anything of merit during those times, but I so enjoyed seeing posters uncover bits and pieces of stories that might never have seen the light of day. We may be past the point of crowdsourcing data on stories, but it definitely was fun to see a 1000 or so Treepers scouring the internet for things that the MSM would never ever look for.
I’m sorry your getting de platformed from your host, but hopefully this will lead to something bigger and better for the future.

I visited CTH early 2018 after hearing it mentioned in a video somewhere and became hooked on the MAGA economic articles breaking down President Trump’s grand “America First” plan where economic security is national security.
Then I started following, via CTH, President Trump’s team of wolverines, Wilbur Ross, Steven Mnuchin, Peter Navarro, etc… and watched as each brought their particular skillset to the table. The comments under these economics posts were fantastic as well with different members bringing their own unique perspectives and business/life experience to bear on the articles of the day. A few months later I started posting.
I would stay for just sundance’s content alone but I also follow Grandma Covfefe’s prayer post, citizen817’s Trump tweets as well as others who post on the daily Presidential Politics thread. It’s nice to post or just hang out on a Christian friendly site.
Being lied to. Being told half truths. Having to endure parsed language describing factual events in ways that clearly deviate from common sense or intuition. All of those things, decades ago, forced me to seek better descriptions and explanations.
So, to answer the question, I say Rush Limbaugh, in 1992, from the golden microphone, led me to The Conservative Treehouse. It was Rush describing what was going on with the Clinton Gore show that opened my eyes to pursuing better and higher quality information.
I have a little different version. I listened to Rush but got the feeling that plenty of back room Republican/uniparty deals were going on that he would never talk about. I spent hours on the internet looking for better information and almost instantly knew this place was conducting a no holds barred mission of telling the truth – Republican or Democrat .
about 3 years ago i woke up to the lack of truth in the media and started searching the internet for answers. lucky for me i stumbled on a link that brought me to your site. i can’t remember what i was chasing or how i linked in but i do remember the good feeling i got when i saw that you honored the fallen with a very nice photo that reminded me to say a prayer. i’ve been back every day since and have never been disappointed. thank you and bless you and the treepers. Comments are monitored so the crazies aren’t threatening you every minute. Feels like a group of close friends sitting around a fire at night drinking hot chocolate or adult beverage, shooting the bull, discussing the daily events and not worrying about speaking because we are all friends.
Sundance articles and the treehouse became my go to site because it was simple, didn’t have to waste time having to filter out a news feed where well known goobers are pushing their so called expertise and then find out they are bought and paid for by super pac’s and never tell their viewers. Red State and Beck were so far up Ted Cruse ass that I lost all respect for so called conservative news. We now know they are paid mouthpieces for the swamp.
Sundance’s articles tell a story in a clear and thought provoking way and helped me clearly see that the DC swamp is deep, wide and real and not to trust the MSM AT ALL!

I think I first got linked here in a comment on an article somewhere about why it’s such a heresy to question global warming. I keep coming back because of the information you rarely find elsewhere, and the clear and sensible analysis; the conclusions are always logical and plausible, even in the cases where I’m not entirely convinced.
And I have to give an honourable mention to the community in the comments – everyone is just so nice, in contrast to elsewhere…
I know my answers aren’t unique among the CTH community, but maybe that only goes to show the strengths of CTH—and what draws people in and holds their attention.
1) During the primary elections season extending back to 2015 as I was learning about the Republican candidates mentions of CTH made me curious and I looked into it.
2) It didn’t take very long before I was regularly reading the CTH articles and comments attached thereto. I was impressed with the sheer intelligence, logic and insight contained in what was written. As the case for so many here, I got “hooked” by the excellent and valuable content.
3) Although my CTH initiation was objectively incidental, perhaps examined more deeply it was inevitable. Lord knows the standard news media had become entirely useless. In truth there weren’t very few reliable sources of information and thoughtful analysis on the web. On “discovering” CTH what reason could there be not to join in and above all share the wealth? That’s precisely what I’ve done since introduced to this one-of-a-kind resource years ago.
Hard to imagine an even better CTH, but look forward to v2.0. Striving for real improvement is what it takes to make everything, and anything, as good as possible.
Simply put, the truth and cold anger.
I don’t remember how I became a member of the Treehouse or what brought me here but I THINK it was a link in the comments at Weasel Zippers. If that wasn’t it, then it might have been something over at Market Ticker. If it wasn’t either of those two, then I have no idea. It was a few years ago.
I stay for the content and research and thoughtful discussion. I love the snark at WZ and participate in it, but CTH is where I come for in-depth research and analysis, deep background and a different point of view from the mainstream as well as more widespread, detailed comments. This is a place of free speech and we need it more than ever.
Found CTH while visiting Doug Ross’s blogroll site, discovering that I was continually clicking on links to stories that brought me here; this was before what happened to George Zimmerman, but still did not bookmark this site; then
when the news media had decided to pronounce to the world this man’s guilt, before he was even charged with anything (in fact it was the media that forced the police to charge him with a crime, I digress) yet, finding myself reading not only posts here, but posts linked from here to actual, real, verifiable news, and, well, the hook was set!
Then with the Jessica Chambers event, and the members of this most beautiful Treehouse donating their time and funds so that flowers could be placed on the site where she was discovered, made me realize this is a place of real people, people who know how events we see in the news affects real lives, changes real lives forever, and was reeled in.
Because of those events this is the site that made me sign up for WordPress in order just to be able to hit the “Like” button. Started commenting shortly thereafter, just couldn’t help myself! People are starving for truth, and truth is what is being served, even if it is big, and ugly at times!
I see these new batches of ‘journalists’ as people trying to find where they can fit into being part of serving the truth. Human nature, there will be grifters, some who may even get away with it for decades, and most will go on to find real jobs. But those who do make a nice living off it will never be a real fount, and in this day and age people, the audience, like a familiar face to filter things for them. I suspect that’s the price the Founders were willing to pay in order to ensure, via freedom of the press, that there will always be a door left open for the real pamphleteers, the real news providers, of which I believe Sundance to be in that company, to exist.
Doug Ross’s site, American Thinker, CTH, there are many others, these are the sites who’s authors do the digging, provide links within their stories for the reader to go look, see for themselves, news without opinion. There are more of these real journalistic sites popping up. Which initially will be out of the control of big tech so, to always stay ahead of big brother the landscape will keep on changing as they too find the need to have a 2.0 version of their work. Other, long established journalists, like Sharyl Attkisson and Lara Logan, are finding ways to create their 2.0 version as well. So this is part of the changing ways the world gets its news. It may be the most important part of the battle against this one world utopian rabbit hole big tech, big business, has fallen into.
Being free to tell it as it’s seen Sundance, CTH is leading the way in that as well, just like the articles written by and/or shared by Sundance – out ahead of everyone else, weeks, months, years, ahead of everyone else.

I live by the OODA loop and feel the first two steps in the loop are the most important. I found that the CTH is one of the few websites that I use to observe and orient myself against all the other information that is flowing out of the internet sewer. I have siblings and some of my children that have never heard of Mifsud or Azra Turk. Or the corruptness of the SSCI. Or any of the clear fraud vote. Or any of the other critical topics that are hidden in plain sight. Those that don’t have a good observation of the world around them will get bit big time when reality intrudes their safe space. Me senses some wailing and gnashing of teeth in the near future for some that aren’t so well informed. For avoiding this fate, I am grateful to Sundance by helping to keep the horizon level and visible.

I would say CTH just doesn’t encourage to fight for what is just and right. It inspires, instructs, and provides thorough research with which one can be “armed” to contend with the corrupted mainline media. I guess I came to CTH because I was looking for truth in journalism and not all the fluff that fox news was pushing. As more and more fake news and down rite lies were the norm, I started reading more of CTH comments and you became the last refuge for me. I feel that I can express my views and frustrations and actually find that people here LISTEN and respond in a positive way. The conservative values and Christian leaning in comments expressed in CTH make this a great family to be a part of. Thank you Sundance for giving all of us a place to land.
I stumbled upon CTH during the Benghazi aftermath in 2012. I was impressed with the clarity of information available and the openness to discuss and accept input from the commentariat. I became really hooked during the Zimmerman trial, and haven’t looked back I have tried to contribute what I could from my background and experience. I have found CTH to be a place where family dwells, and I can share thoughts and experiences with like-minded patriots. The level of research and information is stunning, and greatly informs my life. I use several other sources for information and news also, but never MSM, seldom Radio Talk, but Sundance’s information has always been valuable. I haven’t trusted Fox since before 2014, and barely trust Rush. I do trust Sundance.

I found the Treehouse, via a link from some other site, shortly after the escalator ride. At first it was the Christian fellowship that spoke spiritually to me to come back. Then I read Sundance’s “Main Street vs Wall Street” that captivated me. After that, it was one great analysis after another and the posts by a brilliant group of patriots. My introduction to CTH was a reference by Jack Cashill at American Thinker. Like most of us, I was hungry for truth, real information and insights. So, I wandered on over, and now it’s my homepage. In the realm of internet browsing, this was my best find.
It’s funny how many websites I initially trusted along this journey that have since been revealed as compromised in one way or another, I found myself getting suspicious of the content and opinions. I started here back before Trayvon because of something I read in the Patriot Post, possibly in their comment section. I loved the way the facts were laid out; it was refreshingly clear that what was being said was the exact truth and not the watered down, battered and fried BS the MSM was broadcasting everyday. I am (retired) 50+ year dirt farmer who is fifth generation here in Texas and I would be in my tractor listening to talk radio when it started with Rush on WBAP Dallas, Tx. I never heard anyone say what I was thinking before and it took me by surprise. Then I found CTH, WOW, chinch er tight boys this is going to be a hell of a ride!!! Besides Sundance I like the religiousness that flavors the site (you had to have a real belief in the good Lord to farm for all of those years) I still have a lot of faith but am somewhat of a backsliding Catholic with all of the BS this Socialist pope ( I won’t give him the honor of capitalizing it) has introduced to our Faith. After National Review Online threw us all out on our ears in 2016, many of us after a decade of starred (unmoderated) commenting, I started looking for a new home. They, like the rest of Conservative Inc media, we’re in full collapse. The only reason to read NRO, quite frankly, was the comments to the columns which generally were more relevant, more insightful, more informative, and often better-written, than the paid performances of the faux conservatives they hired.
After a year or two, particularly during the Russia hoax, I ran across CTH on the recommendation of a friend. I had been telling friends for years how Christopher Steele was profiled in Vanity Fair in April 2017 as a hero for his work with the Russians to write the dossier. I pointed out that it was the only proven case of foreign interference in the election. I read a few CTH posts making the same points I was making, but with even more detail. Finally, a group that saw through the bs, wasn’t obfuscating for the Government Party (which Conservative Inc is paid to do), and wasn’t intolerant of new opinions, added color, or criticisms of the GOP wing of the Official Government Party.
So, here I stay, and the documents and resources are excellent for sharing with people who claim there’s no evidence…until I send them the actual pdf of, say, the CIA (Brennan) telling the FBI (Comey) that Clinton had cooked up “Russian interference” to distract from her illegal email system.
CTH is a massive library of knowledge populated by good people and Patriots. Looking forward to 2.0.
Found Treehouse when reading about Trayvon Martin and the connections of the school, sheriff and DOJ. Stayed because of the indepth analysis and research but especially stayed because of the intellectual curiosity and integrity.
While frantically searching for truthful news during the 2015 presidential campaign, I happened by the treehouse. I found the truth and hundreds of like-minded patriots with whom to share my time. Thank you for your excellent work, I love my spot in this family tree.
I first found CTH during the Ferguson, Missouri incident from a link off Lucianne.com. I put CTH in my favorites list not long after. During the 2016 election season I became a Trump fan because of Sundance. What is going on now is almost to hard to take, but it is CTH that keeps me going.
Keep the faith. I will continue to follow Sundance where ever he and the rest go. If they come for me for my views, I will go down fighting. The ones who want to be in charge are the same ones that protested in the 60’s that the government was lying to them. Now they lie to us.

How did you find yourself a member of the CTH community?….
On my second visit, a day after a complete read of every word written by the proprietor and all comments written by his loyal and high information followers. After the second day of another complete read of every article and accompanying comments I was hooked. The boss is very good at his job, posters have salient points of view, and as it turns out I do play well with others.
What was it that brought you here?…
The never ending quest for truth or facts or something that made sense out of the unrelenting noise blasted to the masses by legacy news peddlers. Three kinds of people; those not knowing they’re being lied too, those knowing they’re being lied too but finally give in, those knowing they’re being lied too and refusing to capitulate.
And why did you stick around with this group through whatever endeavors you found of value?
Respect. Most of the sites I’m familiar with, the discussions among the visitors often and sometimes hourly, end up in a free for all. It literally took two weeks for before I read a conversation in which the second commenter took exception to the first commenters. What caught my attention was the disagreement didn’t turn into a personal assault or hurt feelings. Rather refreshing actually.
In 2016 I stumbled across one of your threads and followed you. This progressed to searching for your comments every time something newsworthy happened on Twitter.
One day I was on your timeline and realized you had a website. I added your website to my Feedly aggregator and this site has become my home away from home. In fact, I can honestly say that you and this community have kept me sane through all of the recent madness.

** I was referred to CTH by another commenter who, like me, frequents a site called “QWIKET”. This site was started when National Review dumped the DISQUS commenting platform for their own internal one. QWIKET still uses DISQUS. Dozens of former NR DISQUS commenters made it a place to continue to eviscerate the frauds at NR ?. Anyway, one of them mentioned CTH as the “go to” place for research into issues about 3 years ago. Been a daily reader ever since. **

** Two things: content of posted articles, and content of many posters. As a non Twatter user, I especially value the display by users of various tweets of salient interest. **
I bet a lot of us are refugees of the NRO purge in 2016. It was a great forum for a long time, and the comments were widely circulated. It was not unusual for strong comments to wind up being poached as columns in other Conservative Inc. and NRO columns. Can’t tell you how many times I saw original ideas in the comments make their way into opinion columns and talk radio.
