And voting shenanigans, at least in Pima County. 3 election cycles ago, somebody tried to steal my vote. I went to vote in person, they said I had voted by mail. never ever happen. I filed a provisional and demanded an investigation, and they turned up a mail in vote with a signature clearly not mine.
Fast forward to this year. We got special election materials early in July. There was a box to check if you wanted mail in and a box to check if you did NOT. I went down to the county recorder, made SURE I was checking the right box for in person. Confirmed it on the website before we left ton for a few months in Mid july.
Got back and lo and behold, ballots arrived in the mail. So, we filled them out, delivered in person to the county recorder the second day of early voted, asked for an investigation after pointing out that THEy had confirmed we were not mail in. Got a phone call a few days later that we had checked off the wrong box (yeah, right), and we were mail in. As of 10 minutes ago, our ballots are supposedly still waiting to be counted.
