Hello, this is Stella here.
We are making note of all of the problems that you are reporting either here or via email.
It appears that WordPress continues to work on the site. At the moment, it seems that all posts made since October 2 are missing, and that some of you are having trouble accessing the site at all.
It is possible that Sundance has heard from WordPress. I am sure that he will explain what is happening/will happen as soon as he knows something and is free to make a post.
In the meantime, please do your best, as we are doing!

Can access via IPad unable to get to website via windows 10 laptop.
i can’t get in on Firefox, but got in on chrome, on my phone (chrome) as well is ok. I can post on this post, but can’t even open the 10/
I’m on Firefox…version 81.0.1…also, IF you have any add-ons that could interfere, disable…You should be good to go.
WordPress needs a trach and get hooked to a ventilator.
Their vaporware upgrades malfunction.
WHEN I TRY THRU CHROME TO MAIN START PAGE:
Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.
getting same message on firefox, brave is working
at 3:23 PM I got in normally on FireFox
Getting the same message – was able to get here via Twitter.
Same thing for me. Yesterday I was getting the message your WordPress account has expired. I got in tonite via the e-mailed column.
Good afternoon! Latest I’m hearing…
The JetPack plugin that has caused so much trouble has been “uninstalled”. Right now SD is in discussions with the people from WordPress (different entity) trying to get the return of our missing content from Oct 1st to present….including all of your comments.
ETA…..You should also once again be able to access the Treehouse on your mobile.
craftcms.com allows you to literally “roll your own” content management system and also has a fairly easy way to import all your old content in. Then never at the mercy of WordPress again. You can host on your own server on Digital Ocean or Forge. The precursor to Craft was Expression Engine and Brad Parscal was a key member of the Expression Engine community back in the day as they are fabulous tools. There is the most bad ass SEO plugin around, too. Just saying…
Thank you Ad-rem for the update…много оценили!!!!
WordPress, as a content management tool is fantastic. And ~~~maybe~~~ hosting a simple blog on wordpress.com is satisfactory. Yet, I am one of those who prefers NOT to depend on others for keeping my eggs in one basket. If you get the chance, move the blog to a reliable hosting service. OWN as much of your stuff as possible.
Then… JETtison Jetpack forever. It is a feature laden beast not worth having. My own independent testing found that with ALL Jetpack features turned off, the damned thing takes 0.6 seconds to just figure out it has nothing to do. Many of its features can be coded much more cheaply by a smart programmer.
Access via Firefox on Win10 OK. WP “edit” bar is back, incl. the bell!
Okay.. I have an iPad, use safari and duck duck go.. I’m technology challenged and have not noticed any loss of reading material that I’m aware of other than Twatter.. Twatter keeps me shadow banned therefore I never know what I’m missing in their chitchat show.. I read several articles a day from Sundance and associates.. Some days the comments here are slim pickings, some days the comments are the side show..
There is hope, fellow Treepers… I have run into various issues that, with some patience and the perseverance of Sundance, Ad rem, Stella, Menagerie, et al — they all worked out. Then, I was ‘shut off’, totally unable to access the site via WordPress. For about a week I was unable to post anything or like any comments…. Ad rem told me to keep the faith and that the team was working hard to resolve things — and to keep trying… And here I am! Thanks Team CTH….
Yeah, on my laptop I get ‘domain remapped, log in to repair’ or similar. But here I am on my phone just fine.?
Also, just to let you know on related issues – this morning on my Iphone 6 Safari browser, the CTH thumbnail was removed, but I could still click on the associated text beside it and be taken to your website. Now doing so gives me this message “WARNING! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrade page of your blog to use this domain.”
Well this is the first post I’ve been able to make in days if that helps anybody…
Same here. I was able to like posts but none of my comments would post and the black WordPress bar was gone.
Now I can get on the site and the black bar is back! all good
I was just able to log on to the site through Safari.
I’m also using Safari (14.0) and macOS Catalina (10.15.7). While the site seems to be executing differently than yesterday, it seems to be in some sort of limbo between it and WP.
For instance, when I am on a CTH page and click on “Like” a small different page (bank) appears and disappears. The Like does not appear to register. Yet, if on a WP page, a Like does seem to register, although not as one done by me.
Another is when I began to make this post the prompt for logging in appeared below the text block as though I’m not logged in. When I clicked on Post Comment the first two ines turned red and prompted me for the info.
I’ll do so and see what happens.
Well, that was odd. Once I entered the Login info, it took me to a WP page and asked for my password. Once entered, it returned me to this CTH page.
And, once again, the login request appears below this text box. Clearly something is amiss …
One thing that you can try on your own:
Clear your cache and cookies.
This may (or may not) help.
bingo…always a good practice.
saved cookies and cache data can fragment over time. it happens…also “session” cookies…they are normally fairly robust but if things at server or.local go wonky… session from cookies can become problematic…then you have the entire universe of advertising channels routed to your traffic by third parties ..likewise these also modify cookies and cache data.
yes there is inconvenience related to logging back in after clearing cookies and cache (aka, clearing history).. but happens to be the single most effective way to resolve just about any internet problem.
note:. nearly every modern.browser allows in settings to clear history after closing the browser. this was developed to overcome precisely the kind of problems.
and there are some benefits beyond simply restoring website functionslity…
clearing cookies and cache data allows your browser and computer to operate efficiently (speedy… more RAM memory) when dealing with less cached data…. over time that “junk” will start to slow down almost all but the most powerful and expensive machines…
there are other reasons to clear history too… related to cross site.vulns…but maybe.another.time.for security themes.
written and.posted to.help others may.find.this easier.to understand…and.the why.
note… CCleaner is.NOT.YOUR FRIEND.
It is GREAT to see mobile working again.
I am sure the mispointed comments will clear away soon.
That was NOT my recipe for banana pudding!
The only reason I think I made it here is I have an actual wordpress blog and CTH comes up on my wordpress reader. Think you may need to look at another host.
Interesting timing for all of this…
10 Bucks says that WordPress gets it’s coding done from Pakistan or India.
Or Wuhan…
Funny: I can get on the original October 5th post; but I cannot get on the new October 5th post…I get the domain message…and log on…and I can see it but I cannot do anything with it……
So confusing !!!! LOL!!!
I’m normally here via Win-8 and Slimjet browser. with some adblocker filters and custom cookie options. When CTH disappears, I can go to UNMODIFIED Chrome and get in.
From other comments and my experience, it seems that WP*** has some new plugin that expects plain vanilla settings. I’ll try some other browsers soon.
I do have a minimal WP*** blogsite. Nothing there, but it seemed necessary when I was auditioning for CTH. With Slimjet, I could ‘reply” get automatically signed in. With Chrome, I’m going through a sign-in page.
Opera and Vivaldi browsers work just fine
Keep truckin’ Sundance.
Hey WordPress, you folks service any leftist sites. If so, any issues? Just askin’.
Access via Edge not working; weird fault message:
So I dug up that musty old dinosaur, Internet Explorer, and all’s good … and that’s not good … takes too long loading … okay, a couple seconds at most longer.
It’s interesting that the people that seem to have the most problems are the ones that have the most stuff “enabled”.
I’ve never logged in (or even had an account) with WordPress. My last post posted almost instantly.
I have all scripting disabled and have never seen any advertising or popups.
I run Debian with either FF or FF w/tor and I don’t waste any time with the twitter crap.
Then again, I’m not using a phone to view web sites nor do I use my computer to make phone calls.
I’ve never been able to “Like” but I can live with that.
Works for me from my iPhone
I’m a throwback like you, Walt
I do most of my browsing and reading in Internet Explorer 11 under windows 10, with browser security set to “high”, which disables scripting.
Pages are faster-loading too, because the page is not loading images and videos that people post
If I want to comment or reply or like, or watch a video Sundance has included I’ll copy the page address over to another window I keep open in Pale Moon (a Firefox variant) and do it there where I don’t have scripting locked down
I am registered with WP with same handle and it does not let me like or post comments again. Had a short few days awhile back where when I logged in on WP it would let me post on The Last Refuge but still wouldn’t let me like comments. Since that time it no longer lets me post or like comments even when relogging on at WP. I am using Google Chrome as my browser. If anyone found a solution for this would appreciate hearing it, but will wait to see if Sundance has any success with WP getting the site back to the way it worked! Thank you Sundance and adrem for all you do for us here at TCT!!!
Posted this from my iPhone and happy to see it posted! If only it worked all the time!
I’m seeing everything just fine – don’t have a WP account so can’t speak to any of those features – this is my first comment of the day; we’ll see what happens. Using Firefox on a Win 10, Enhanced Protection off, AdBlock Plus and DDG Privacy Essentials activated.
Posted instantly. Reply box is back to normal.
I can access the site on Chrome, but not Firefox using Windows 7.
I’m assuming you want to hear about specific problems, so I’ll list mine here. If that’s not the case, I apologize
Well, for days I had no WordPress icons or verbiage of any type. Could not check to see any replies or likes to my posts and no account icons
As I came online just now, lo and behold, my account icon is there and working, and so too is the bell icon that shows likes and replies
Only one problem, the bell icon showing “likes” is now showing the likes and replies for other members posts and none of mine
Way to screw up WP
Hey WP, how about a few simple changes, ones that would make your platform much better?
An edit feature
Able to change the font
Able to easily post photo’s that don’t just leave a link half the time
A highlight feature
There are no coincidences.. Word Press DS..shills.
Using Edge and Windows ten I am a live booger, but using Brave and Windows ten I am a somnambulistic snot.
Mine in Texas looks great! It is as good as “going home.” Thanks to all for the hard work!!!
Stella, adrem, sundance
suggestion…
i did a bit of surveillance…noticed SSL.functionality was wonky. over last two days. not good. i will not speak about WP… I’ll just leave it at that.
sundance…you have my email.. be glad to offer something that will benefit your.long term goals without causing major guest disruptions. .
now… noticed your site(S) are.hosted at X with security certs Y.
I would recommend registering your.domain with the modern and hardened (verified) security certs…also recommend hosting with cloudflare…ddos protection on a world class domain.hosting.network. or openDNS .. they offer a very robust domain protection scheme and hi traffic and auto falllover.
these arent.going to solve.WP plugin problems…but I’m sure you are.now realizing your sites are a target.
God Bless AMERICA.

I can access The Conservative Treehouse on Opera but not Chrome
I cannot access directly via Chrome, get the following message….”Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain. ” I can access through Sundance’s Twitter link, but just the daily thread. Got access through microsoft Edge, but can’t sign in there, but can see all Sundance’s posts. Have not cleared my cashe. Wonder if my ad blockers in Chrome have anything to do with things, and I don’t have an ad blocker working in Edge yet because I don’t use it.
If you are still having problems, clear your cache and cookies, then try again.
