The arrogance within this is actually quite astounding; even for New York.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is now trying to walk back his words from an earlier radio interview by doubling down on stupid.   First here’s the interview segment in question:

(Transcript)  Their problem is not me and democrats, their problem is themselves. Who are they? Are they these extreme conservatives, who are right to life, pro assault weapon, anti-gay, is that who they are? Because if that is who they are, and if they are the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York. Because that is not who New Yorkers are.    Moderate republicans like in the Senate right now and control the senate, Moderate republicans have a place in this state.

Facing backlash the Office of Andrew Cuomo issued an open letter to dispute assertions that he said “extreme conservatives have no place in New York because that is not who New Yorkers are”.   Cuomo claims this was inaccurately taken out of context.

However, if you read the entire response from Governor Cuomo, and the entire transcript, its actually worse. He specifically says that only he can define what is an acceptable standard to the definition of Republican, “a moderate Republican”; and only those Republicans who vote to pass his agenda are the acceptable Republicans in New York.   Read For Yourself HERE.

This guy has an evil aura !   …. A  distinctive but intangible quality that seems to surround a person.
