Intentionally or not, Trump is showing the world very clearly that pieces of paper signed by the US or NATO cannot be relied upon, at all. Iran gets it. So far, Russia has not.
When the terms on those pieces of paper are violated the contract is null and void.

NATO was formed to counter a GENUINE threat from the old USSR. That time has come and gone. Since then, to keep this antiquated globalist structure alive, new “threats” have to be manufactured. Many have nothing to do with the old Western Europe. So why is NATO even involved here??
