Earlier today President Trump noted he would be giving an endorsement in the highly contested Texas Republican primary race. President Trump has endorsed Ken Paxton.
(Via Truth Social) – The Highly Respected Attorney General of Texas, Ken Paxton, an America First Patriot, and someone who has always been extremely loyal to me and our AMAZING MAGA MOVEMENT, is running for the United States Senate, to represent a place I love and WON, BIG, three times, with 6.4 Million Votes in 2024 (The Most Votes in the History of the State, BY FAR)!
I know Ken well, have seen him tested at the highest and most difficult levels, and he is a WINNER! Ken is a Strong Supporter of TERMINATING THE FILIBUSTER and, very importantly, THE SAVE AMERICA ACT, something which polls at 87%, including Dumocrats, and yet can’t seem to get approved. I’ve known John Cornyn for 50+ years. My wife even clerked for him when he was a Texas Supreme Court Justice. I’m very much looking forward to voting for Paxton and sending Cornyn into permanent retirement. There’s no telling how much $ he has squirreled away in off-shore accounts from the substituents he’s actually been representing in Texas instead of Texans.

Ken Paxton earned President Trump’s endorsement long before he got it…but I understand that Trump, the pragmatist, wanted to be sure Paxton would win before giving an endorsement that would make an even worse enemy of John Cornyn than he already is.
This is the right choice and every MAGA believer has known it ever since Cornyn called Texas gun owners “a mob!”
Not to mention John Boy called Trump’s language on January 6 “reckless!”
I think the delay was more about giving Thune the chance to get a few things done.

For governor Mike Lindell has a good primary chance against establishment RINO Kendall Qualls who had Michelle Tafoya directing his previous loss trying for the Guber spot. I would say the lefties and establishment will go all out to stop Lindell, which makes a Trump endorsement likely.

It’s hard to imagine the Senate stonewalling more than they have. Thune knows he could have saved Cornyn if he’d passed the Save America Act. It is really that simple. And it reveals the motives of the Senate (as if it wasn’t already fully known). Not sure what Trump’s plan is to get anything through the Senate now but pretty sure that he has one. It was inevitable that this confrontation happen. It’s part of the Big Ugly.
