What I find interesting, within the inside baseball aspect of this political endorsement, is that Steve Hilton never even discussed getting a President Trump endorsement with him. If the remarks Hilton made to Politico are correct, there was never a discussion of the race with President Trump.
Either President Trump was just independently interested in the California primary contest, or someone put the primary into the conversational surrounding of President Trump.

I live in San Diego and, while I am not an expert on elections, et.al. I can say that there are more conservatives here than people think. There is a wide swath in the middle of the state which is conservative. Newsome will probably get the big cities and Hollywood but after that look out! I will be voting for Hilton and hoping he wins!
I’m convinced CA is a red state and all the election outcomes there are purely product of collusion between the IC and the CA democrat party with no basis in reality for what legal voters really voted.
As a U. S. Naval Flight Officer, I came to California in the 1970’s on orders from the Department of the Navy, stationed at N.A.S. Moffett Field on the very southern part of San Francisco Bay. From that time to about the early to mid 1990’s, this state was governed o.k. Since the 1990’s to the writing of this “response” post, as most around the nation now know, California has been deluged into an illegal alien over-run, Tammany Hall style democrat vote cheating/ ballot fraud, outrageous laws, etc., delivered by disgusting democrat political perverts. In CA, voter registration is automatic when getting a State ID card or drivers license, all done via the DMV. Anyone can get a State ID card and registered to vote by simply completing a state form, no ID required. It has been this way for as long as I can remember. The reason CA created a State ID is arguable, but what is obvious is that the very process grants the right to vote to anyone, without exception. Further, when a vote registration is recorded, it has been demonstrated that the person to which the record is registered doesn’t even need to cast a ballot for their vote to be counted. The opportunities to game the outcome of CA elections have been created in law, and in practice, and the State has not acted in a manner that in any way enables protection of the sovereignty of the US citizens residing in the State of California.
Voter registration is not automatic at the DMV. When you go there for any reason such as registrations a car or for the real ID to fly the clerk hands you a voter registration form. It’s your choice to fill it out and hand it back or not.
I do not believe that is correct. If I remember correctly from the last time I renewed my driver’s license, there is a checkbox on the application to indicate if you are not a citizen. If you do not check the box, you are registered to vote.
If you do check the box and you are in California illegally, you have just admitted to being an illegal alien. I suspect that very few illegal aliens check the box and therefore most are automatically registered to vote.

I am sorry that President Trump did not endorse Che Ahn who is a highly respected pastor in California – also running for Governor of California. He has the fear of the Lord operating in and through him. Would LOVE to see Che Ahn win because there would TRULY BE RIGHTEOUS TRANSFORMATION governmentally in California. I agree with one of the other commenters, that there are a lot more conservative people in CA than it appears. I would not be surprised if the last several elections weren’t plagued with voter fraud/cheating.
You’ve got to be kidding me. STEVE HILTON is the only candidate for governor in the next election cycle, on the “right side” of governance of this state, who will be able to start getting the derailed train that’s California back on track. Everyone else should fall in line with this and worry about running for governor of California another time, at a later date.

I do believe it might have been when Trump canceled the electric car incentives. There were several different things, but that one makes the most sense to me.

I’m assuming that you believe CA elections are legitimate. I would strongly disagree. We’re a family of 4 generations of native Californians. I’ve witnessed this state’s decline throughout my lifetime. It’s been painful to watch. It doesn’t matter how we vote, I’m thoroughly convinced our elections are rigged and corrupt. Politicians are installed, they’re not elected.
Quite frankly, I think most Republicans have quit even trying to run in this state for state office. And from what I have read about the California GOP, they’re not much help either. They’ve sort of thrown in the towel and are not huge Trump supporters.
I think a great many of the Californians who would have been inclined to be Trump supporting MAGA Conservatives have left the state for various reasons long ago. The numbers of those who remain are probably not increasing anywhere.

I skimmed some of the comments. I believe California has a jungle primary and top two vote getters run against each other in the fall. Before this endorsement I think Hilton was #1 and the riverside sherrif was #2. Very conservative. If everyone votes for Hilton then it will be Hilton against a demon rat and Hilton WILL lose. Jeez!!! Somebody tell me I am wrong about this!!!!
