Almost all of the corporate news programs today are carbon copies of the same tired talking points, driving home the reality that mainstream U.S. media are concentric circles of the same news feed. Essentially, media reports reporting on media reports, of other organized media reports.
No one seems to be asking any of the core operational and policy questions that can cut to the heart of the matter. ie., “you are doing XXX, what is the intent of this action/policy move, and can you describe in actionable terms what benefit the American people can expect as a result of the anticipated outcome”? Instead, the questions are all hindsight and reactionary. Frankly, the repetition is mind-numbing.

With the oil prices hitting as high as $120 a barrel this evening and with the current cost of Californian gasoline at close to $6 a gallon with oil @$62 per barrel, then there are going to be a lot of unhappy motorists in California tomorrow. In my experience with conversations with average people, the average working citizens are smarter than they used to be, they have growing faith in the current president, and more skeptical awareness of the manipulated newsfeeds.

I think a lot of people would like to see tangible evidence that US oil and gas reserves are being built up and expanded so even if the middle east completely goes to hell, we can still operate as a country independent of any outcome good or bad. The people in the middle east have been fighting each other for about 9 million years, no sign of stopping, just better weapons, but with nookers, finally came a point of needing to act, but also time to talk about the future of energy, and not just people making incalculable fortunes trading energy futures, AND making side bets on the outcome of the war. I support US energy, economic, and political independence.

December 2019 … fuel at the pump was at historic LOWS, while the rest of the world still suffered from energy costs. The US was energy independent and still exporting energy.
June 2024 .. fuel was back up to historic HIGHS.
July-November 2024 … prices were driven down slightly to impact the elections in favor of the democrats.
December to date ….. prices leveled out into a fixed band that is about 75 cents/gallon wide. In fact that mean of that band INDEXED downward by about 30-50 cents/gallon, just before Operation Epic Fury and was ready to index downward again.
The US IS still “technically” energy independent, in terms of assets.
President Trump wiped out the regulation road blocks … AGAIN.
The “business” media is purposely focusing on the WRONG people and know its the financial puppet masters of the US causing the problem and for the US .. the status of the Persian Gulf and Arabian Sea DO NOT IMPACT the fuel prices in the US.
