I have a prescheduled travel day today to connect on prior research that will hopefully have positive outcomes. There is a lot happening in the background of a necessary confrontation with the DC administrative state; specifically, as it relates to the IC tentacles.

PAWatcher, I recognize you as a longtime and respected poster here with whom I’ve often agreed, so I want to respond to your post, not to attempt to change your mind or disrespect your views, but in the hope of providing some perspective to apply to your perception of what I think will be happening soon in Iran.
We must not conflate Iran and islam. The Iranian people are not historically an islamist culture. It was imposed on them by violent conquest. The vast majority deplore radical islam. This is a fact easily supported by current and historical records and by the events taking place there today. Iranians love Israel and consider it their strongest ally in the region.
It’s also a mistake to assume that Iranians hate America, because they don’t. The violent islamist occupiers, who have impoverished the Iranian population by diverting the country’s wealth into funding terrorism around the world, do hate America and the Iranian people alike. But the Iranian people love America and the millions of them who’ve immigrated to the US are the best integrated and most successful of all US immigrant populations today. Again, this is objectively verifiable.
None of us want war, and that includes President Trump. He’s made it clear in every possible way. What he’s doing wrt to Iran is being done to avoid a war by executing swift, targeted and decisive action to finally neutralize the violent, lying terrorist regime there.
By every indication, his intent is to provide a muscular defense of Israel and avoid a protracted military action. But he has no choice except to act, and I trust him to do so wisely and well. I wish it weren’t necessary, but it is.
The violent, radical islamist regime in Iran have proven they cannot be trusted under any circumstances, and their incessant aggression must finally be dealt with decisively. Their rabid and unrelenting obsession with the destruction of America and Israel make it an absolute necessity. Their possession of hypersonic weapons coupled with the growing nuclear threat they pose make it impossible to avoid. Those hypersonic weapons were a game changer, making the defense of Israel a different tactical equation for US forces. Again, I wish it weren’t so, but it is. The President has no choice but to deal with the reality of it.
There are a good number of respected posters here who support the Iranian people in their struggle for freedom. It’s a bloody confrontation of an unarmed population against a heavily armed and murderous force that tortures and kills with malicious abandon, showing no mercy.
Those posters, like me, probably wish it weren’t necessary to again take action against the islamist regime, but one of the hallmarks of TCTH is a commitment to looking at things as they are instead of how we wish they were. I trust that you and I share that commitment, and that we can hold differing views without being adversaries.
Yes, there’s a lot of fake news out there and we must be discerning. But there are valid sources of information and insight as to what’s really going on in Iran. Some of these sources are cited here by other pro-Iranian freedom posters besides myself, and I can recommend them. I’ll post a link at the end of this post to a good resource for keeping up with daily events there.

Thank you for that great response, you covered all my concerns with your view of what’s going on in Iran.
But, I can only think of our wars in Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, etc etc as coming to the same situation of never attaining peace for the people. And never accomplishing an end to the near destruction of Christianity and Judaism.
You know when Russia went into Afghanistan they destroyed the heroin trade; the US went into Afghanistan for 20 years!! and all that happened was it supplied 97% of drugs exported around the world! We have a whole generation of users to show for those 20 years of war. AND Central and South America became their pipeline to US. Don’t get me started on arms and human trafficking going rampant while we fight these wars. Syria is still destroying Christianity, and the nuclear threat is always brought into play when the powers that be want to start yet another war.
From Korea and the Viet Nam wars to the present wars We haven’t engaged in a ‘just war’ IMHO.
Here at home Our actions, completely justified, against illegal criminal immigrants is being defied. Our struggle to bring the sanctity of life to the forefront by getting rid of abortion and child abuse is no where near completion, Heck legal elections aren’t even assured yet. I know just what you mean about all those previous entanglements, and those have been cited numerous times by people most in the know about this situation, including the President and Secretary Rubio. The planning for this operation is being done in ways aimed specifically at avoiding such mistakes, which we must remember, were not made by President Trump. But he has learned from them, and is determined to achieve a better outcome in this situation.
Among the major differences here, and in fact probably the biggest difference, is that the Iranian people are so much different than the other cultures of the middle east like afghanistan and iraq for example. The Iranians had a constitutional monarchy that involved a parliamentary system and personal rights and freedoms, unlike other countries in the middle east. Iran’s history predates them all, and in fact is the source of the concept of individual rights on which our Founding Fathers drew for inspiration when they created our Constitution.
So the Iranians are a much more literate and forward thinking culture than any other in the region except Israel. Another important but little known aspect in all this is the fact that there are millions of Iranian Christians and Jews, who can’t openly practice their religious lives due to the forced imposition of the radical islamists’ submission to their version of state religion. The Iranians are calling for Reza Pahlavi to lead their transition back to a constitutional monarchy precisely because he has a broadly accepted coalition unified upon the principal of re-establishing a nonsectarian government in which the people’s votes determine the national priorities, and not religion.
So all that is what gives me optimistic hope for the restoration of Iran’s national strength and is what I base my belief on that they’re ready to hit the ground running once the vile regime is eradicated. It won’t be like it was in iraq, where they had and still don’t have any concept of a constitutional system of government. They weren’t at all ready for liberation, which the US planners never factored in to the deal. As soon as Saddam was toppled they resorted to tribal factionalism and went to killing each other, which is why we got stuck there. I’m pretty sure that won’t be the case with the Iranians. There will no doubt be a period of transition and reactionary resistance, but the Iranians are united behind a well thought out plan that’s achieved a broad consensus among the huge diaspora of Iranians waiting and longing to return to their home country.
We’re going to hear a lot of fake news put out there by the people who don’t want to see a strong Iran, and from those who lean toward marxist islam and of course, those who despise President Trump and will oppose and condemn any and every thing he does, but we’ve become pretty good a navigating our way around those fakeries and calling out their lies. Right now Great Britain is the biggest offender, after the American left, with both bending a knee to islamic invaders.

People who once had power wishing to have it restored is not reason enough to grant the request. I don’t even pretend to know all the things about Iran other people seem to know. What I do know is that anyone who leads or who has lead a middle eastern country is suspect to me. They have a particular culture which is especially brutal and developmentally delayed in terms of what we know civilization to mean. In other words, they don’t have a good history as it relates to democratic government or the freedom of the people who live there. And without a known and well endorsed leader for a given country, anyone who takes control or maintains control is in the “I don’t care” bucket. And I’m not sure why anyone here would care either.

anything) so now we (the sane ones) have Iran and possibly Taiwan taking over the InterWeb unless you want to throw in the Dems SOTU boycott Special coming soon to a theater near you.
I’m so hoping that the Dems boycott the SOTU so we can fill their seats with MAGA folks and make this a SOTU we will never forget. If I was at President Trump’s first one nobody would have forgot it cuz I would have strangled Piglosi with my bare hands while the Dems screeched in horror.

That’s the thing about young people. They haven’t lived long enough to know what dangerous means. Also, if they are raised in suppressed/oppressed circumstances they may not have a sense of their own future. These are contributors to what enables young people to risk their lives and health.
If you want to call it “courage” I guess that’s OK. But it’s more likely “nothing to lose” and “rather die fighting” than anything else you might call it.
She didn’t use the word courage, she used the word bravery – which is acting in spite of your fear. Death isn’t the goal, freedom is. Much like our nation’s forefathers – and almost all of us who have served our nation in the military since that time.
Courage and Bravery share the same definition mostly. One comparison indicates that Bravery implies impulsive action while Courage suggests a more thoughtful response.

Dang it kinda leaves me out of sorts , I come here and the pages are full with all relevant news , Sundance fighting for Trumps America every day and night ,and one day the poor guy takes a breather in DC travel day and im a chicken with my head cut off , running all around town looking for direction, I’ll have to read the Benghazi brief ,that never gets old ,pray and get grounded and thank God when the pages are full again.
