I am fascinated, not by Christian, but by the pseudo scientific explaining away of this story.
There are many different Mesopotamian flood stories, many that predate Moses as depicted in the bible. Current Bible Theory asserts the bible was made up after captivity in Babylon. And uses the flood myth and the tower of babel as evidence.
But there are problems with this. Ur had such myths before Abram, Isaac, etc. Abram was from Ur, his children and grandchildren went back to take wives from Ur. And Abram was fully knowledgeable of Ur’s religions. Just some of the many ways the Children of Israel could have learned of these myths.
Furthermore, which did they do, totally adopt Babylonian scripture (flood myth) or depict Babylon as evil (tower myth)? The grateful people delivered from captivity by one they call The Great, would be much more likely to adopt Persian religion than Babylonian. (They did neither.)
In reality, there are elements from many of the different Mesopotamian flood myths which have analogies in the biblical story. So the connections predate the Babylonian capturers. Here is a scholar describing some.

Note, he uses P and J. This is from the prior attempts to understand the Bible which have been dumped by the after captivity scholars. For a couple hundred years, Bible scholars were analyzing the text and had separated the Torah into contributions from priests who referred to Jehovah (J), priests who referred to Elohim (E), a huge bunch of priestly writings (P). and a bunch of Deuteronomistic writings (D) which actually continue outside of Deuteronomy and the Torah. I’ve also seen Isaiah included in this textual division.
This careful work, developed by successive generations seems to have been discarded. This is a good example about putting your faith in Science. Science is always rewarding those who prove the last theory wrong. This means that it will always change.

The burros are well, Pat – thank for caring.
Their favorite part of the day is the “treasure hunt.” We scatter little bundles of timothy hay around their paddock for them to discover. We have begun to let them out into one of our pastures a few times a week. Been a little nervous to do that because of their bout with laminitis. So far, so good, and we limit their time out there.
We have a neighbor horse, Polka, who comes up for a treat each day. Finally saw her dad and got permission, and now she waits for us. ❤️

This looks like a Jack Russell. One of the neatest little dogs to ever live! My girlfriend had one named “Harley”. He was a hoot! He was also very lovable with people he chose to be lovable with. Was very particular about choosing humans to be with. I was one of the fortunate ones he chose to be friends with.

This could have been my Daisy, a Queensland Heeler that showed up at my ranch one day. She stayed in good shape at the ranch, but when I downgraded, she started getting chunky. Not a day goes by I do not miss her.
I’m not sure if that dog is even overweight or just has that much curly hair. I know a lot of breeds, but mostly the medium to larger dogs, not the smaller breeds.

Puppies sleeping are so cute and have a calming effect on the soul. Actually so do the cats when they sleep.
They have been sleeping with me, not Cleo yet. Although the other day while I was working on my computer, she climbed on my lap and stayed there for a little while. Now, that is progress with a capitol P! All four, when not sleeping, are like shadows and follow me everywhere in the house. When I am outside, they get in the windows and watch to see what I am doing. I also remain vigilant I do not trip over one of them, as they are right there, especially in the morning, when I awake. Usually acting like they are starving to death, when I know they had food through the night. That is the last thing I check before retiring. I make sure they have food, but if there is a bare spot on the bottom of the plate, they act like there is no food in there. LOL, You’ve got to love them. I guess they are still growing and require food regularly. I am quite used to them now as part of the household. I can not imagine not having them around now.

At church last Sunday, the professor’s son brought his retired police dog named BoLo, a Belgium Melanois. I had not seen him yet, so went to see him in his truck after service. The first thing he did was give me a lick on the face! He was shaking all over with excitement at my attention. He is a beautiful brindle color, older and beginning to get grey around his muzzle. I just loved him. Very sweet dog.

Good morning Patty. Thank you for this educational and informative video of how horses choose their favorite human. It made me understand why most of my horses were never nervous and jumpy around me, even the newborn foals. I could approach most of the newborns without their mothers freaking out and was able to give them their first shots and disinfect their navels, to prevent infections. Was also able to put little halters on them right away.
I sure miss that part of my life bunches. Sighing heavily. At my age though, It is probably best that I do not have all that responsibility now. This senior lady can enjoy her senior old man, Blue, without worrying as much.

COMMENTARY FOR GENESIS 1
Genesis is a name taken from the Greek, and signifies “the book of generation or production;” it is properly so called, as containing an account of the origin of all things. There is no other history so old. There is nothing in the most ancient book which exists that contradicts it; while many things recorded by the oldest heathen writers, or to be traced in the customs of different nations, confirm what is related in the book of Genesis. God creates heaven and earth. (1,2) The creation of light. (3-5) God separates the earth from the waters, and makes it fruitful. (6-13) God forms the sun, moon, and stars. (14-19) Animals created. (20-25) Man created in the image of God. (26-28) Food appointed. (29,30) The work of creation ended and approved. (31)
26-28 Man was made last of all the creatures: this was both an honour and a favour to him. Yet man was made the same day that the beasts were; his body was made of the same earth with theirs; and while he is in the body, he inhabits the same earth with them. God forbid that by indulging the body, and the desires of it, we should make ourselves like the beasts that perish! Man was to be a creature different from all that had been hitherto made. Flesh and spirit, heaven and earth, must be put together in him. God said, “Let us make man.” Man, when he was made, was to glorify the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Into that great name we are baptized, for to that great name we owe our being. It is the soul of man that especially bears God’s image. Man was made upright, #Ec 7:29|. His understanding saw Divine things clearly and truly; there were no errors or mistakes in his knowledge; his will consented at once, and in all things, to the will of God. PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Weis grocery store in Lewisburg, Pa now requires Drivers License ID if you pay with a check. This policy was just implemented recently. No ID required to vote – damocratic politicians in charge in this state!!
That’s weird, DL used to be required for checks in IN anyway back in the 70’s & 80’s till the Check 21 act passed.
Grocers were the first plugged into the system and deposited the check instantly & could reject instantly if NSF, as they were scanned directly into the register.
Between that & forced electronic deposits & ATM/check cards, check fraud all but disappeared, I wonder if the grocers no longer pay for check 21 stuff since almost no one uses checks anymore & not worth the expense paid to the bankers.
I haven’t used a personal check in more than 20 years, business wise I wrote boat loads of checks, as you really don’t want your ATM/check card out there to be defrauded against, too much money in business accounts to pilfer.
Thinking about it, checks could make a come back since most every small business around here I know now adds the “merchant” fees to your transaction instead of paying the ever escalating fees themselves. No merchant fees on checks still.
I always lost 500 to 1000 dollars a month to “merchant” fees since I also was charged for your “rewards” program % too.
I once had a customer that I lost more than 10% on due to some sort of Diamond reward program they had. Found different processor after that.

After reading the warning from Durov ie Spain, I did a quick experiment with the AI that the Brave browser directly asking about the left bias in the response. What I got was left bias responses.
An example was the use of two hyphenated words: left-libertarian and right-authoritarian.
I changed those to left-authoritarian and right classic liberal and the damn thing attempted to correct me.

I like that my search results in Yandex are never front-end loaded with MSM URLs. It’s great for finding pro-MAGA, pro-Trump articles without having to scroll through pages of anti Trump garbage.
