Many are saying “Trump coulda or shoulda” or “If Trump woulda” comments. What spare energy or priorities did you see him wasting at any point in this presidential term? Who do you want as president instead of Donald Trump? Are you supporting the MAGA/constitutional platform or tearing it down? Or weakening it by criticizing and undermining the president?
Every conservative person giving negative comments toward Donald Trump needs to do a quick and thorough self assessment of their own character, their own work ethic, their own commitment to this country and to this president. Ask yourself, what projects or activities am I doing myself that are bringing this country in line with the principles of our Creator and the constitution of this republic?
Let us quit worrying about our reputation and be like Marco Rubio — support the man and lay down your life daily alongside him — first for the Lord, then for this great Nation that God has blessed us with through the sacrifice of others.
None of the negative armchair quarterbacks can name one person who could have accomplished what Donald Trump has — at any level. That is not emotion driven speculation — that is reasoned tabulation and reviewing data constantly

I worked with a guy years ago that was always complaining about being too busy and just couldn’t seem to finish anything. Problem was he never had a plan (or the ambition) to start anything and therefore could never finish anything (without others stepping in to help). He was one of the worst time managers that I have ever seen. He was also lazy!

If the guards are U.S. service members, they can be prosecuted under the UCMJ for abusing a prisoner. Article 93 (cruelty and maltreatment) has been applied to detainees abused by military guards; whether that specific charge fits depends on the facts and the guard’s authority over the prisoner. Other UCMJ offenses may also apply.
Also Military prison guards are required to adhere to the Geneva Conventions when dealing with prisoners of war, regardless of their nationality, including U.S. citizens. (I am not sure if that only applies during times of war, but regardless the prison guards will be trained to that standard)
I’ve spent a considerable amount of time “monitoring” the brig for criminals who committed the most heinous act of murder (funk …look it up. Hawai’i. Ford Island. just to give you some perspective of the kind of wicked evil monsters that do exist).

You can buy all kinds of coffee from cheap to quality, you can grind your own beans. They are still less expensive than the overpriced coffee shop stuff like Starbucks. I haven’t drank it in years but McD’s had comparable coffee for about a buck when Starbucks was $6 or $7 dollars. Unfortunately I have to drink decaf now.

I can remember when coffee prices first exploded in the early 1970’s. People were taking the grounds, drying them out in the oven and reusing them. That was bad coffee. My grandfather drank Postum coffee, a eratz coffee substitute made from grain during and after WW2, that was bad stuff too.
During my years traveling it was always instant coffee, mostly Nescafe.
Was nice to get back to US for ground coffee.
Know what’s really good?
Break up a few little pieces of dark-dark chocolate, the kind without the soy lecithin, and drop it in a cup with a spoonful of instant coffee (not the no caffeine kind) . . .
Add some maple or brown sugar at this point if you like it sweet . . .
If you add sugar be sure to add a tiny-tiny shake of sea salt . . .
Pour over this to about half the cup some boiling hot water and stir it until the coffee dissolves and the chocolate melts . . .
Then shake a bottle of half and half until it gets foamy and pour the half and half into the cup to fill it
That ^^^ up there ^^^ is a great hot beverage and it’s also good as an Iced Coffee.

If you like the coffee with manuka honey try it sometime by adding a little organic butter; it’s really good and makes the coffee smell like a honey bun.

For health reasons, I recently went stimulant-free so no coffee or tea (even decaf in both, herbal tea is fine). So am using chicory-based coffee alternatives with some carob powder. I realized I used creamer to blunt the bitterness of coffee but my mellow chicory-carob morning drink without cream is fine, plus it has a natural sweet chocolaty undertone. Still miss real chocolate so cheat a bit there.

Regular tea even jacks me up, so I avoid it usually.
One of the coffees I use has chicory in it and it’s really good.
The chocolate is better when it doesn’t have the soy in it.
So many people are allergic to soy, so when they eat the chocolate containing soy and have a reaction the chocolate often gets the blame.
The Lindt 72% dark chocolate doesn’t have soy, neither do some of the fancier brands at the healthfood stores.
Chocolate makes me happy and knocks out a headache in no time flat.

One set of grandparents made a huge pot of coffee in the morning and kept it warm all day on their wood stove. By evening it was almost warm tar. They put lots of sugar and sweetened condensed milk in it so they could drink the stuff. You can’t even imagine what that tasted like.

I think I have found a good AI test. Have it solve a very difficult cross word puzzle. Like maybe a New York Times from a few decades ago. Put in the puzzle and the clues. Alot of times the clues are a bit tricky and more inferential than concrete

AI has been about deception all along. Even Turing’s test ia about deceiving the user.
But in many ways, we deceive ourselves from the start. Many of our tests are considered by what is hard for us.
A computer with a dictionary can easily find all 6 letter words and exclude those that clearly don’t fit the clue. From there the solution can be brute forced by cycling through the remaining options. Or maybe done more elegantly by solving a large system of equations, which is basically what an LLM is.
If a numbers puzzle was suggested, we would easily dismiss it as easy for a computer to solve. But word problems don’t seem so computer like.
Can you imagine just how much easier it would be to solve a crossword puzzle if you could feed a computer the clues and output all the words that meet those clues? Isn’t that the hardest part for us?
Folks, I am just curious what it could do with it. No other reason than that. Long ago as a kid I would wonder what the most intelligent outer space time travelling culture would do if an earthling asked it what 2+2 was.

Standard time year round is the way to go. Standard time is most closely aligned with the circadian rhythm of the majority of people e.g. it is the healthiest option for the most people.
Seeing the official time and having that external reference being in balance with one’s circadian rhythm is an important component.
Why Daylight Savings Time; a ‘made up’ time. It’s ‘green speak’ and crazy. IMHO Daylight is provided by God, and I see the light at His times.
Why not Standard Time being the permanent time in the US?? We change back in November and that should be the last change. IMHO We still have our zones.
AND guess what, not one second of daylight will ever be lost. Our internal clocks will get back to normal, too.
