Iran Update:
This is an Iran update, not Israel. This is getting hotter and deserves a full update.
I am not sure what is being reported in the US, but it’s not enough.
~The US has a tremendous number of military assets around Iran. I posted it above. See image.
~What is going on in Iran is beyond awful. This is like their 10/7. Cruelty beyond description.
If you want to “scar your soul,” you may see videos on Telegram from Amir Tsarfati.
There is use of hunting rifles against protesters, which blinded many. There is a video of women being beaten badly with clubs and a large knife. There are reports of the use of chemical weapons on protesters. And by the way, I did post more than a week ago evidence of preparations with chemical weapons. You can see the special vests and vehicle. I also saw another such video. Some reports show crazy numbers of casualties—tens of thousands. The regime itself admitted over 3,000 dead, but they say those are mainly their own people and not protesters. If they admitted over 3,000, it must be many times more.
There are not many new videos of the protests, which tells me that it has subsided. The regime is willing to kill tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of Iranians. Instead of executing in a way that would piss off President Trump, they are now simply executing people without trials—
in hospitals, in detention, and in the streets. Awful. I see images of young and beautiful people who were murdered or executed. I saw today a video of a protest and someone begging Trump to help.
~I watched an interview with the previous Chief of Mossad. The video was from about 5–6 days ago. He knows Iran better than the Iranians—decades of dealing with them. He said that they have no chance of succeeding with the revolution, and only the US can change this.
~The CENTCOM Commander is about to land in Israel on Saturday and meet the Israeli Chief of Staff of the IDF. This gives me a feeling of a combined Israel/US attack, if it happens at all.
A combined attack will be devastating. Each one alone is devastating enough, but together? Damn!
~The Iranians are spreading threats—against the US and Israel.
~A report says they plan a combined Iranian/Houthi counterattack. The Houthis are not very effective. No worries about it.
~The Israeli government is about to approve on Sunday a call-up of 280,000 reservists until March. This is not about Iran. But didn’t we say that Hamas needs to be disarmed?
~The Pentagon is saying that Iran’s nuclear ambitions remain despite the American operation against it.
~Trump issued sanctions against 9 shipping vessels and 8 shipping companies that helped export Iranian oil despite the sanctions—from Panama, Asia, and Africa.
~There was a publication that Trump already had a plan and a date, but he figured it would not produce the desired results and stopped it. This was followed by Khamenei pissing off Trump and blaming him for the Iranian casualties.
~I must say something about Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran. Israel was on the way to kill him, and Trump prevented it. Trump himself said that he saved his life.
I said earlier that there is a replacement ready, so it’s not important. But I changed my mind.
I think that he is the “Hitler” of Iran, and removing him will be meaningful. He is the stubborn one who refuses to let go of the murderous nature and intent of Iran.
~Many reports of canceled flights to Israel this weekend by many airlines: United, Delta, Air France, Air Canada, KLM, and others.
~Turkey says that their intel shows Israeli preparations to attack Iran, not American.
~What would happen if Israel detects 60+ ballistic missiles aimed at it?
A preemptive strike. This is sensitive, as it must be fully coordinated with the US.
~What do the Israelis think? Are they willing to get a rain of missiles coming?
Yes. We are willing, and wishing, to cut off the head of the snake—whatever it takes.
They are behind all of our wars in the last few decades. Also, we dream of a significant peace with a new Iran. I saw many videos of Israelis saying that they can’t wait and want to visit Iran. The Iranians, in general, are also very friendly to Israel. By the way, Iranians are not Arabs. They don’t speak Arabic—at least most of them.
I think it’s a good point to pray for all our warriors on the ground and in the skies to be safe and succeed with whatever their tasks are. May God protect them—Americans and Israelis.
Trump doesn’t fool around. If Iran’s government doesn’t walk the straight and narrow and FA then they’re almost certainly going to FO. I’m betting they weren’t smart enough and are so arrogant that they won’t take the hint from what went down in Venezuela despite their own recent experiences.

Got Blue fed around 7:00. I could not believe he was standing out in this weather as if he was not the least bit bothered by it. He followed me up to his shelter. His warm blanket coat was covered with snow and sleet. Brushed it off while he ate. Gave the chickens some meal worms inside their coop, (they have lay pellets already).
Put seed out for the wild birds and nuts for the squirrels. I had already put out several suet cakes yesterday.
Came in and treated myself to some hot chocolate!

Yes, except he is grey not sorrel colored. The blanket this horse is wearing looks almost exactly like the one on Blue. There have been birds non-stop today at the feeders. I’ve also seen at least 6 squirrels.
Never had the pleasure of visiting Wales. Is it a drier cold, less moisture in the air? The winter in the mountains of Arizona was like that. It never felt real cold, even when we got several feet of snow. I could sit out on my porch in just long johns, jeans and a heavy sweater. Here I’ve got layer upon layer of clothes to stay reasonably warm. Also, we are older now and probably feel it more.
Stay warm as I will also. This too shall pass in a day or so. I just pray for those in this storm’s path that they do not lose power and can get through it safely.

Yes, the yowling cats always get fed first thing when I get up while the coffee is brewing. Then Beau gets fed. I slug down a cup of coffee, get all my layers of clothes on and tromp out to feed Blue, check on the chickens and get the feeders filled.
Could not get into Blue’s pasture this morning as the latch on the gate was frozen, so I crawled through between the white vinyl horse fence slats (good thing I am skinny).
I put his alfalfa hay bale into a wagon in the chicken coop and covered it with a tarp yesterday. I usually keep it in the back of my car but was afraid the SUV hatch back door would freeze and I wouldn’t be able to get him his hay. I really don’t have a dry place to store his hay, so I guess I will be storing it in the coop now. If I ever get my car detailed, they will pitch a fit when they see all the alfalfa back there! LOL Buying and moving hay is when I really miss my pickup truck. It had a covered bed, so I could store it in there and it never got wet.
Seems we do live somewhat parallel lives! Small world that your mom’s name was Pat. Was it short for Patricia? My little sister has been calling me Trish since she could talk, so Trish it is for her.

Mornin’ dear Bet. It’s 35F here this morning. My old house is comfortably warm, even in really cold (for central Texas) mornings. Little ‘Tink poked her nose out the back door—was quite shocked—and promptly returned to her warm space by the gas logs in the fireplace. I rewarded her with some tasty kitty treats and was rewarded with her contented ‘good morning’ purr. She’s such a wonderful ‘old guy’s companion’.
My neighbor just acquired an elderly Pekingese. The little guy is very cute and really needed a forever home. Thinking, thinking. . . 🙂

I have been using some winter down time to re-read Fyodor Dostoyevski’s THE BROTHERS KARAMAZOV, which in its Penguin paperback edition, with helpful endnotes, weighs in at 1023 pages. When I was 24, I first read it on my own volition, still grappling with the Russian patronymic naming system, with much less understanding of Russian culture and history, and as a young person, a relative novice in life experience.
It is an epic, massive, unwieldy story about a horrible father (much like Dostoyevski endured), sibling rivalry, parricide, tragicomic lust and avarice packaged as love, corruption of religious institutions and the judicial system and a whole bushel full of execrable human behavior, which somehow, Dostoyevski (and his wife Anna who transcribed all of his major novels) turns into an enjoyable, sometimes humorous, reading experience.
This is a query for those who appreciate quality literature, what have you been reading of late and why do you enjoy it?

Biography: Gilbert invented the Erector Set in 1913, a construction toy that eventually became one of the most popular toys of all time. Biography: Regularly regarded as one of the greatest British prime ministers, Churchill led Britain to victory against the Axis Powers during World War II, and served a second term in office from 1951 to 1955.
Prior to being Prime Minister, Churchill served in several high offices, including Ministries of Defence, Munitions, Air, War and Chancellor of the Exchequer. As First Lord of the Admiralty during World War I, he conceived and executed the disastrous Gallipoli Campaign which caused his temporary departure from government.
When Neville Chamberlain resigned after the outbreak of World War II, Churchill was asked by the King to form the next government. During the war, he became famous for his rallying speeches, including ‘we shall fight on the beaches’ and ‘this was their finest hour’. As the war progressed, Churchill was crucial in boosting British morale and inspiring resistance to Nazi Germany.
After Germany’s defeat in 1945, he was voted out of office the same year despite being recognized as a great wartime leader. He was replaced by Clement Attlee. Churchill remained Leader of the Opposition and became prime minister again in 1951, before resigning on health grounds in 1955. Winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, Churchill was also the first honorary citizen of the United States; his funeral in 1965 attracted one of the largest assemblages of world statesmen ever seen.

It is exceedingly embarrassing to see influencers push idiotic conspiracy theories, such as Churchill caused WW2. Churchill was out of power when WW2 was started by Hitler.
BTW, Chamberlain came back from Munich celebrating ‘Peace in Our Time’. Yet Hitler violating that agreement and taking all of Czechoslovakia wasn’t enough to make the appeaser resign. And Churchill was still out of power. Neither was Hitler attacking Poland enough to make him resign. But it was enough to force him to bring Churchill aboard.
Churchill had taken many positions in the 30’s that were unpopular and kept him isolated. But his warnings about Hitler and demands that England rearm were the positions that brought him back to power when they proved true.

My dad was a huge supporter of Churchill and left me all his books regarding the man. He really was a legend in his time. Astounding really that the Brits threw him out of office immediately following WWII. He returned, of course, but such a pertinent lesson on the fickleness (word?) of people and of unappreciated sacrifice. Reminds me of another lion of his time.

COMMENTARY FOR MATTHEW 3
John the Baptist, His preaching, manner of life, and baptism. (1-6) John reproves the Pharisees and Sadducees. (7-12) The baptism of Jesus. (13-17)
13-17 Christ’s gracious condescensions are so surprising, that even the strongest believers at first can hardly believe them; so deep and mysterious, that even those who know his mind well, are apt to start objections against the will of Christ. And those who have much of the Spirit of God while here, see that they need to apply to Christ for more. Christ does not deny that John had need to be baptized of him, yet declares he will now be baptized of John. Christ is now in a state of humiliation. Our Lord Jesus looked upon it as well becoming him to fulfil all righteousness, to own every Divine institution, and to show his readiness to comply with all God’s righteous precepts. In and through Christ, the heavens are opened to the children of men. This descent of the Spirit upon Christ, showed that he was endued with his sacred influences without measure. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance. At Christ’s baptism there was a manifestation of the three Persons in the sacred Trinity. The Father confirming the Son to be Mediator; the Son solemnly entering upon the work; the Holy Spirit descending on him, to be through his mediation communicated to his people. In Him our spiritual sacrifices are acceptable, for He is the altar that sanctifies every gift, #1Pe 2:5|. Out of Christ, God is a consuming fire, but in Christ, a reconciled Father. This is the sum of the gospel, which we must by faith cheerfully embrace.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Haven’t seen it yet today.

But what’s coming down the pike this week is REAL DEAL cold.
After our fancy winter storm exits, blob after blob of Arctic air associated with the tropospheric polar vortex will rotate through the Lower 48.
Subzero wind chills will reach the Gulf Coast.
Single digit temperatures can be expected in northern Louisiana and Mississippi on both Monday and Tuesday mornings.
Washington, D.C. may not get above freezing for the next 7-10 days.
For perspective, the last time D.C. spent a week in subfreezing temperatures was from December 16 to 25, 1989 (10 days). That was 36 years ago. It has happened only 17 times since 1872, and only two of those stretches have been in the last 85 years.

Remember it well. My first Christmas Eve after moving to Texas, it was 4 degrees air temperature in 1989.
The color key for that gif map is misleading and confusing. At first glance and even a second and third, the color key tells me that the U.S. is going to have extremely cold temps while a lot of Canada will see temps around 65.

And, all of the Ciaramella involvement back in 2015 is documented by meeting room reservations where he was meeting with Ukrainian officials to blame Paul Manafort for his involvement and connection him up with Russia instead of with Ukraine. That is where the dossier entered the story because Russia had already become the scapegoat!
This story is really quite simple if we connect the “Eric” dots!

What is missing in this story is Eric Ciaramella’s connection to Hunter Biden. That is the key to the whole mess! It is why Vindman panicked and called Eric immediately after the “Perfect phone call”.
What Vindman told Eric was not “False” as the story states. It was completely true. Trump had publicly asked Zelenskyy to look into the Hunter Biden connections to fraud in Ukraine. That was pointing directly at Eric’s original job!!
To me, this was where it all began back in late 2015 and no one talks about it. Eric’s original job was to create the cover-up of Hunter’s crimes in Ukraine to protect the Obama administration from a scandal! The idea that Obama’s VP’s son was being bribed with millions of dollars to influence his father’s actions had to be squelched ASAP and that was the task of Eric Ciaramella.
Eight months later Seth Rich was murdered and Eric’s cover story to hide Hunter’s crimes morphed into the Russia dossier. One cover-up led to the next and Trump was blowing it all up with a damned telephone call!

Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing me through this day and Lord, forgive me for the times when I have wandered outside Your best will for me, instead of trusting You implicitly.
Thank You, that You are such a gracious Shepherd to me and that You come and rescue me even when I lose my way and stray from the path that You have laid out for me.
As I look back over today, I know Lord that there were things that I should have said and done differently, and times when I reacted in a manner that was not honouring Your holy name. Forgive me I pray, but thank You, Father, that You always faithfully prepared to gently bring me back to Yourself.
Give me a good night’s sleep I pray, knowing that there is no condemnation because I am in Christ, and may I wake up in the morning refreshed and ready to do Your will. In Jesus’ name I pray,

Heavenly Father, as I lie down to sleep tonight, I pray that You would guard my sleeping and protect my mind from wandering thoughts and unnecessary planning. Teach me to wait for Your perfect timing and not to try to plan my future in my own strength.
Lord, I know that You have scheduled every day of my life. Help me to trust You in all things and rely on You to lead me along the straight path and guide me in the direction that You would have me to go.
