President Donald J Trump has announced his selection to take over as Federal Reserve Board Chairman, Kevin Warsh. To give perspective toward the overall viewpoint of Warsh, THIS INTERVIEW from April 2024 gives some insight.
Warsh has been highly critical of the FED monetary policy overall and directly links inflation and depressed wages to the poor decision-making of the Federal Reserve overall. More background on Kevin Warsh is HERE.
(Via Truth Social) – “I am pleased to announce that I am nominating Kevin Warsh to be the CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM. Kevin currently serves as the Shepard Family Distinguished Visiting Fellow in Economics at the Hoover Institution, and Lecturer at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is a Partner of Stanley Druckenmiller at Duquesne Family Office LLC. Kevin received his A.B. from Stanford University, and J.D. from Harvard Law School. He has conducted extensive research in the field of Economics and Finance.
Kevin issued an Independent Report to the Bank of England proposing reforms in the conduct of Monetary Policy in the United Kingdom. Parliament adopted the Report’s recommendations. Kevin Warsh became the youngest Fed Governor, ever, at 35, and served as a Member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System from 2006 until 2011, as the Federal Reserve’s Representative to the Group of Twenty (G-20), and as the Board’s Emissary to the Emerging and Advanced Economies in Asia.
In addition, he was Administrative Governor, managing and overseeing the Board’s operations, personnel, and financial performance. Prior to his appointment to the Board, from 2002 until 2006, Kevin served as Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy, and Executive Secretary of the White House National Economic Council.
Previously, Kevin was a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions Department at Morgan Stanley & Co., in New York, serving as Vice President and Executive Director. I have known Kevin for a long period of time, and have no doubt that he will go down as one of the GREAT Fed Chairmen, maybe the best. On top of everything else, he is “central casting,” and he will never let you down. Congratulations Kevin! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP“

Steve Bannon and Wall Street both happy and surprised Trump chose Warsh.
Rarely disagree with you. Don’t know about Wall st. being so happy. Time will tell.
They will lower interest rates, with accelerated depreciation in the BBB . Onshore supply chains incoming. Main Street getting back to the big boy table-Go President Trump!!!!!
To be fair, we in the US are going to NEED low interest rates to fuel the capital investment required to fund the onshoring of 40+ years of offshores industry. This stuff is expensive!
My fear is that Wall Street will instead fund stock buy backs like they did last time, and try to wait out the remaining 3 years of Trump, hoping they can reverse flow in the next administration. Low interest rates also mean more risky behavior since “money is cheaper” which fuels the capital investment debt train MMA consolidations.
You’re off the rails on this one honey bunch, if, indeed, you are a honey bunch. At any rate, as mentioned, you’ve dis-railed on this one. Regards, small businessman & former U. S. Naval Flight Officer
I agree. 300 trillion stolen in 30 minutes but no stoppage of the market. Not one peep mentioned. They’re all f’ing crooks.
Demo-lite Sen. Tillis opposes. Must be a good nominee.
Thom Thumb would oppose anyone Trump appointed including Jesus. The man has a serious case of TDS.
Yes, Tommy lost his gig because of Trump. An Establishment Republican had to fall on his sword like Ryan did in 2018 in order to get their Democrat Comrades back into the majority, and I guess Tom Thumb got the short straw. It worked in 2018, we’ll see if it works in 2026. If you hate Tillis, you can’t possible hate him as much as he deserves.
He wins second prize. One way vacation to trip to the Hindu Kush….Hell, he can ever take Warner with him.
Wonder what he’s hiding?
So glad Jamie Dimon didn’t get it, but would be even happier if they abolished the FED completely!
wander….did VSGPDJT… choose Warsh to be head of controlled demolishing FED ???…..hmmm
Well, he appointed a US Department of Education so it wouldn’t surprise me 😉
Seems consistent with the External Revenue Service.
I CONCUR!!
Time for the DOJ to announce a Federal investigation for the period Tillis was a NC Senator.
Investigate scumbag Mark Warner first.
Issued a report to the Bank of England on the conduct of monetary policy, approved by Parliament did he?
Britain is in a piggin’ mess.
I’m not sure I’d add that as a recommendation for his fitness as Fed President.
But Secretary Bessent interviewed him extensively.
We’ll see…
(By way of interest only, he’s married to an heiress of the Estee Lauder Empire.)
I bet he smells good.
👍🏻 😁
probably better than…HRC…
Lo!!
My BIL worked for the Lauder’s, “Estee Lauder Companies” as head of their west coast security. He just retired. He couldn’t say enough nice things about them.
Jane Lauder the wife of Kevin is currently the Global president and general manager of Estee Lauder Companies and serves on their board. Her father Ronald Lauder served as US Ambassador to Austria under Ronald Reagan. My BIL is MAGA.
I just hope the Senate doesn’t f this up!
Good to know!
I’ll be proud to continue to use my EL perfume!
A splendid endorsement, Mom.
Can’t say better than that.
There isn’t anything the senate (small “s) can’t ” f” up. Nothing.
In the first picture of him, he looks a little bit like Snidely Whiplash.
I have never heard of the guy before today.
I’d forgotten about Snidely 😂
(Who thinks up these splendid names I wonder…..I am all admiration for whoever it is.)
You must be too young to have watched the Rocky and Bullwinkle show that aired from 1959 to 1964. Snidely Whiplash was the enemy of Duddly Do-Right of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Snidely was always tying damsels to railroad tracks.
“Snidely Whiplash” a pleasant whoosh back in time.
Oh happy day. How soon does he start?
So this is Senate confirmation vote ?
Yes.
ty
Tillis has already said he’s a no vote in the Senate committee until the case against the woman Fed member is resolved. She’s the one accused of mortgage fraud .
Time to Turbo Charge the Engines !!!!!!
Thank You, President Trump.
Happy New Year to Us all.
BBB accelerates depreciation of capital assets. Lower interest rates. Capital coming home for American workers!!!!!!
But, Sen. Tillis will oppose Trump Fed chair pick Warsh until Powell probe resolved:
https://www.cnbc.com/2026/01/30/fed-warsh-tillis-trump-powell-doj.html
RINOs always there to back stab…
Why does a probe of Powell have anything in the world to do with approving Warsh?
Tillis: Just another faker trying to obstruct. If he wants to keep Powell in control, then his relationship to Powell should be investigated.
Tillis is retiring and is safe to do the bidding of Thune/McConnell/
Deep state. As long as Warsh’s confirmation is held up, Powell stays in power and the economy boost from Warsh’s monetary policies are held back on the #1 issue for voters for the midterms.
Tillis is retiring because he would not win again in NC.
Deep state wants Dems to win House and tie Trump’s agenda up with impeachments.
Question: Can PDJT put someone in place temporarily to replace Powell since his term is up?
Also I wonder how Tillis plans to justify his delay since is his desire is to delay, hamper and obstruct. I guess we will wait and see if any other senators, officials, etc. press him for a reason that makes a lick of sense.
Far more needs to play out on this and we all need to stay tuned.
If Powell does not resign and his contract ends in May, he could still remain as part of the board of governors with continued influence.
However, there is also support for Warsh in the Senate and on Wall Street as a highly competent nominee who was confirmed before by a bipartisan Senate.
Senator Hagarty (Tenn) has been optimistic.
It is also possible that Powell could cut a deal for his resignation in exchange for dropping the subpoena.
Stay tuned.
True. But not if Trump fires Powell. He can. He might .
Interesting days!
🕶️✝️🕶️
Thillis needs a meeting with Homan
He needs a meeting with me in an elevator…
I’d like to watch.
I’ll pay to watch.
Needs a meeting with Beelzebub…..
Beelzebub doesn’t want him
Rip would take him to the train station
Rinos are like ticks burrowed into our nation.
Interest rates should come down.
I know personally of 2 big deals like 185 acres and others put on hold due to interest rates.
Guess it is no coincidence slv (down today from 105 to
75.) gold down more than 10% .
Pray and help others
Technicals were calling for a precious metals pull back- top of silver in. WS shaking out retail, I sold most last week, I’ll be back in within the next week or two depending. Comex is still looking short for March delivery.
That all is true. Still, it was the appointment of Warsh that was the catalyst that set off this extreme unwind. I applaud your selling last week.
My brother shorted Hl at 31 and then shorted more at 34. Covered @27. You also know bulls make $ , bears make $ and pigs get slaughtered.
Pray and help others
As long as it’s a US buyer and not China or another offshore entity.
The purchaser would be better off if interest rates stayed the same (or even went up) and the price came down instead. Extra principle payments on a loan have a much bigger impact that way.
Better yet, End the Fed!
Who cares about Thom Tillis! I’m sure there are at least 50 (+JD Vance) GOP Senators who would love to watch their portfolios boom with Warsh at the Fed. Pray for Warsh–if he’s successful, we all benefit!
This guy is on record wanting to decouple tne FEDs printing press from fiscal policy by Congress.
He’s on record for wanting to stop the FED from financing Congressional debt buy “buying bonds”. —that is, the printing press. No more “quantitative easing”.
He is on record stating that growth DOES NOT cause inflation.
Looks like a good pick to me.
I’m for decoupling Congress from the government -maybe of counsel or amicus curiae status
Has anyone else noticed that when President Trump needs to make a personnel decision, he tends to pick the best looking candidate? His male picks most often have full heads of hair (Howard Lutnick being the exception) and most of his female picks are exceptionally pretty. Look around the table at his Cabinet meetings. Does Wharton Business School have a theory about this type of selection technique? If they do, it is certainly working for VSGPDJT!>
I’m still waiting for my nomination.
Greg, it may be a while, mate….
Warsh looks like solid choice-one very likely to be approved by senate quickly. I am sure Trump has vetted this man thoroughly. Regime change at the fed is what is needed and this man looks like the man to make it happen. He will be working in wild environment over coming years for sure.
So wolverine? Or something more tame?
I was hoping it was going to be Rick Rieder whose resume speaks volumes, look it up. This is the guy we needed, real world experience in the global economy, especially in Bonds. Currently with BlackRock, he has under his management, $3 Trillion with a T.
But unfortunately, we didn’t get him. Maybe he rejected the offer due to a massive loss to salary and serving 10 of the 14 year term as Chairman. Plus, he’d have to go through Senate hearings to be confirmed.
Or maybe, like Secretary Bessent, he too believes that our Government has a serious spending problem, it does!
Is Warsh going to now be the punching bag or will he acquiesce? We shall see? 12 voting members be damned.
Yes, going from $20 million a year at BlackRock to $200,000 a year at the Federal Reserve is asking a lot of a younger family man with kids in college and a high maintenance wife especially for ten years!
lol, I’d say so. 😂😂😂
This is why you do not want him, “Currently with BlackRock, he has under his management, $3 Trillion with a T.”
When we are handing the third world their GDP in taxpayer money to hand back to scumbuckets to get elected! This is not the purpose of taxpayer money when we have senior citizens and disabled living on $1,000 a month and they tell you that you make too much money to qualify for any aid!
Internet/phone, medical/home/car insurance, television service raising MONTHLY on top of food inflation does not stretch that far! One must have a phone or internet for doctors to contact you. Car insurance is mandatory. Even if you don’t go to the doctor they take it out of your check, right off the top. You can’t get Medicaid without jumping through hoops, therefore one must pay for a secondary insurance so you don’t end up with HUGE medical bills that Medicare won’t pay. The whole system reeks! And they hand hundreds and hundreds of billions out the door and blame raises in Social Security for inflation!
Joan, I hear you 100%. Wife and I take care of my mother who lives with us, so I completely understand what you’re going through. Global economics aside.
🙏 To you.
It’s definitely designed to kill. Until this among so many other issues are resolved we will never have unity and national pride. Victims are always vulnerable to radicalization as are those who care about them.
All of your descriptions of Rieder git Walsh to a “T” 🙂
Trump reportedly did not pick Rieder because of all his campaign donations to Democrats. We don’t need another Fed chair with TDS.
Warsh isn’t the Swamp, but he is a card carrying member of the Uniparty. Sadly, it will not take much time for Trump to be disappointed. Warsh will probably end up being Trump’s 2nd worst appointment after Pam Blondi.
Back this up with links, ” card carrying member of the Uniparty. “
He’s a Bush Republican. He worked in the Bush administration from 2002-2006, then he went to work for the Uniparty Fed from 2006 – 2011. You know, the Fed that bailed out banks during the 2007-2009 financial crisis and screwed the taxpayer.
He was also part of the same Fed that lowered interest rates to 0% for the Obama administration starting in 2009 when Obama took office. I guarantee you that he will not do the same for Trump.
Yeah, right 🙂
Warsh is a great pick.
I agree. Terrible pick. Complete headscratcher. This guy is not going to lower interest rates and boost onshoring the way Trump wants.
Upcoming CBDC. The plan all along.
He is also a Bilderberger and member of the CFR. I don’t trust him at all.
“and directly links inflation and depressed wages to the poor decision-making of the Federal Reserve overall.”
They always miss the part where the labor market is destabilized by the mass offshoring of U.S. jobs to foreign nations, the mass outsourcing of U.S. work to foreign firms, and the mass in-sourcing of foreign replacement labor. As if that has no impact on real wages and functional unemployment when it is the number one driver!
“Buy American, the job you save may be your own.” “The college educated understand how great NAFTA will be.” Suddenly everyone at work right down to the floor scrubber was a college graduate. “I’m spending my children’s inheritance.” “Reality is for people who can’t handle drugs.” Personally I only ever believed in the first one.
Anyone seriously interested in how Warsh sees the Fed, should read this remarkable presentation.
https://www.hoover.org/sites/default/files/research/docs/Commanding%20Heights%20April%2025%202025%20DC.pdf
Most people immediately wrote him off as future Fed chairman.
IMO, he’s in the same end of the spectrum as Hoenig, Lacker, Fisher and other recent quasi Renegades.
How far he can go down this road is another matter.
This does not seem like another “Meet the New Boss ….” nomination.
And … can he be confirmed? Tough call.
No doubt, they’ve War Gamed this out for a good while.
FYI. His wife is Jane Lauder. Her father is Ronald Lauder. She is a granddaughter of Estée Lauder.
Apparently, President Trump and Ronald Lauder are friends and have known each other since college. 🤔
The real question which should be asked is : is he an ally of Trump and/or the administration/policy.
Or, is he someone who will stick it to Trump, or Republicans, ie., Support Democrats, at every opportunity ?
How about hoping he is an ally of sound money and monetary/fiscal rectitude.
Faux Indian princess from Massachusetts is big mad,
That is a good smoke signal.
Dollar up, gold down
That’s all you need to know…..if you’re smart enough to figure it out.
Gold holdings make a canary in the coal mine for the value of the dollar.
When Warsh went on media to bash the Chairman, you should know that monetary and now, politics will be his game.
So for those who don’t have a clue about the Federal Reserve’s beginnings in 1913 by reading the original documents then you’ll always blame the Fed. This article link below came out in 2018 regarding why the Fed is no longer independent or like I say, Quasi Independent. President Trump is no different from past presidents.
https://fee.org/articles/the-fed-s-long-history-of-bowing-to-presidential-pressure/
“Warsh has been highly critical of the FED monetary policy overall and directly links inflation and depressed wages to the poor decision-making of the Federal Reserve overall.”
Being critical of the Federal Reserve is the best criterion for this job. Even better, if he copies a page from Linda McMahon’s playbook, and works to actually dismantle the Fed, or at least curtails its dual mandates. Uses his position to eliminate his position.
As a bonus to Jerome Powell, he’ll have more time to work on his criminal defense.
Congrats to Kevin Warsh!
I like the fact he’d like to reduce the bloated Fed Reserve balance sheet…get the proceeds of bond sales back to local banks where it can be better put to use.
My money says the socialists will filibuster this nomination. It’s an election year, after all.
Anyone curious to know that the FED employs over 1600+ staff earning approximately 300K each? I was just looking up exactly what it’s for and how it gets its money. Shocking!! And now they need an almost 3billion dollar renovation of their building!!!
The only thing that I want to hear about the Fed is that it is being shut down.
He is steeped in the Rockefeller globalist web. He still believes in the Fed. POTUS doesn’t have a lot of options though. He still has a lot of work to do, and better the devil you know… or hope you know.
