Biblical believers are being shown the limits of what representative government really is. It may be preferential to top-down dictatorship, but all roads lead to collapse with humanity in charge. We have our specific hopes and dreams for DC to finally right itself, but man cannot govern. How do you prosecute people that firmly believed PDJT was a danger to America and any rules or laws broken while trying to stop him was warranted? Again, most of the people involved have spoken publicly about what they see as “the end of democracy” along with a warped idea of how the country is now so bad. Even though we accept that much of it was lies, there is still the underlying maniacal absolute certainty of Trumps guilt based on hate for PDJT and his policies.
So, if they ever were to take the stand, they will say they firmly believe what they did was for the good(their ideas) of the country. With that, the question would be asked “didn’t you know it was illegal?” It would be like like prosecuting someone who robbed a bank, who firmly believed all the money in the bank was theirs, and had documents they believed proved it.
Because of the left’s Trump Derangement Syndrome, I believe the only convictions will be for crimes that are easily documented like lying to congress, tax fraud, illegal campaign expenditures, the Hatch act, leaking, etc. There will be no high crimes like conspiracy or treason because the lefties are certifiably insane.
There is the possibility of civil lawsuits but that is a long way off.

I totally agree with Sundance–drastically lower expectations. The country’s highest ranking cop and highest ranking attorney are prosecuting this in public. Patel and Bondi are doing this to poison the well for indictments and prosecution.
