I am going against the grain on this. I have heard from others who are just as intimately involved but beyond yhe scenes. Though at times I wavered myself, this is what I believe is happening.

I believe the statute of limitations is fuel to light a fire to the public. How does a coup have statute of limitations. Which will create the option, when the public outrage wants justice, for military tribunals to take place. In the meantime time, turning smaller fish to turn states evidence.

This deliberate Trump strategy is setting the stage for the American public to more broadly grasp and internalize how deeply heinous and destructive the coup was and how much better it is getting now under Trump. … so that when the legal cases come, as I believe they will, with indictments, there will be support for the tough action necessary. It will not be as traumatic then as it would be right now for much of the country.
I am impressed by the quiet confidence and cool headed, meticulous, legal preparation and transparent communication that I see in the DOJ/FBI under AG Bondi, FBI Director Patel, Deputy FBI Director Bongino and other cabinet members they are working closely with on this. Here’s the thing though. As we have seen repeatedly there are so many bought and paid for judges in place stopping everything from voter roll clean ups to USAID cuts, to DEI cuts, to deportation attempts, that perhaps the only way forward now is to build the case to such a degree in the public eye that democrats lose massively in the mid terms and then Trump”s final two years can be the blood bath the world needs to see. Yeah, I know, I’m an optimist but I really cannot see the courts being the answer at the moment, it is going to need to be military tribunals for treason and seditious conspiracy at least.

We all know that what these traitors did is past the statute of limitations, not unless they can make an airtight case that all of these actions were part of one long continuous conspiracy all the way up to the Mar-a-Lago raid. I fear that if they try & bring a case, just to do so, & a jury or judge doesn’t convict then we’ll hear nothing but “I’ve been vindicated of any wrong doing” from these bastards & media talking heads til the end of days. If they do decide to indict & bring to trial they better really have the goods on them. I think it’s an uphill fight & that’s can’t be placed on Bondi for right, wrong or indifferent.

I don’t think (1) seeking real indictments and (2) preparing the public with a rolling disclosure of previously classified documents are necessarily in conflict with each other or suggest that what Kash is doing is purely “performative.
SD says “don’t project on it”. Okay, I just listened to these segments and that’s my take. What will be will be and ultimately come out (and relatively soon in fact). If anyone is “projecting” on all this I think it’s SD. His posts on X and here strike me as somewhat (if not very) emotional and I don’t think his conclusions are supported by what he’s laying out. He’s obviously a diligent and thoughtful person and has done serious work on Russia, Russia and all the rest of the crap the dem’s have used to attack President Trump and those in his orbit, but I don’t agree with portraying the efforts of President Trump’s team as total BS, which is exactly what SD is arguing here. I’m not willing to believe President Trump is in this just to make a show of things, I think he wants payback and accountability. We’ll see.

As I say, this is not ultimately a legal problem, it is a political problem. The legal system itself is vicious and corrupt. Expecting that same corrupt legal system to clean itself up is delusional. The ultimate jury, the American people as a whole, will have to correct this.
