There needs to be a trial concerning a very large collection of lies published by the New York Times, a trial so large and comprehensive that a judgement against the NYT is necessary.
A large fine may be appropriate, but what is necessary is a requirement that henceforth anything published in any way either directly or indirectly by the NYT whether it be a newspaper or anything at all must include a warning label, analogous to the warning labels on cigarette packages, that this publication is likely to include lies, gaslighting, misdirection, or deceptions of any number of varieties base on it century-long activities of such practices. Each copy of anything published without such a warning label would be subject to confiscation and a $100 fine.
This would not infringe on the NYT’s freedom of speech (i.e., to continue to lie) , and it will not necessarily result in the [much desired] end of the NYT. After all there are many tens of thousands of leftist lives that are dependent on the NYT’s lies, and are regard its lies much like mother’s milk.
