Terry Bollea, aka “Hulk Hogan, died this morning of an apparent heart attack. He was 71.
Hulk Hogan was an iconic pro wrestler who brought an entire generation into the sport and became a bigger than life personality in the wrestling, entertainment and acting community. Hogan also delivered a memorable speech in 2024 during the Republican National Convention where he supported President Trump and JD Vance.
President Trump delivered remarks via Truth Social: “We lost a great friend today, the “Hulkster.” Hulk Hogan was MAGA all the way — Strong, tough, smart, but with the biggest heart. He gave an absolutely electric speech at the Republican National Convention, that was one of the highlights of the entire week. He entertained fans from all over the World, and the cultural impact he had was massive. To his wife, Sky, and family, we give our warmest best wishes and love. Hulk Hogan will be greatly missed!”
FLORIDA – Pro wrestling icon Hulk Hogan has died, police and World Wrestling Entertainment said Thursday. He was 71.
First responders were called to the Clearwater Beach, Florida, home of Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, around 9:50 a.m. Thursday, police said.
“The nature of the call was for a cardiac arrest,” the Clearwater Police Department said in a statement. He was taken to Morton Plant Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. (more)

I gasped when I saw this was an RIP. So hard to believe he’s gone. He was so full of energy!
RIP Hulk
Go have fun with your jabronis
While Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson popularized the word “jabroni,” he credits The Iron Sheik with originally creating the term. The Rock often used the word during his wrestling career in the WWE to insult opponents, essentially calling them a loser or someone who is not a serious competitor, according to ESPN. Though the word’s origins are a bit murky, it’s believed to have originated in wrestling slang, possibly as a play on the word “jobber” or an alteration of an Italian term, according to Wordorigins.org. [AI internet. The link to the ‘Italian’ usage is worth a read.]
“The Rock” was actually Don Muroco a/k/a “Beach Bum”. He wrestled Hulk Hogan many times. You can actually post to the beach bum on the Tree House . He is a member and avid poster.
many millions got the jab and the jabroni.
I LOVE THIS
I hope my friends give me the same welcome and meme.
Stay steadfast
I like this!
I grew up with this guy. My friends and I would emulate these wrestlers and throw each other around like rag dolls.
I must admit being teary eyed upon hearing of his passing.
Thank G-d he received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 2023.
We will see the Hulk again in the Presence of our Lord.
I lived across Tampa Bay from him when we were growing up. I used to run track at regional meets at his school, Robinson High, in South Tampa.
He will be missed; a Christian man, and a great American success story coming from humble beginnings. May our Lord comfort his family in the days to come.
The whole thing about him being born again, was he consistently promoted Jesus even back in the day. He wore a cross to the ring in every match, even in the early 80’s. Yes he was baptised in 2023 but he had a long life of being a Christian well before then. he wasn’t perfect and made a lot of mistakes, but he was always a Christian.
Right there with you, my friend. I was the BIGGEST WWF fan in the 80’s. When he lost to the Ultimate Warrior I was crushed for a month or two. And I actually like the UW, but the belt was Hulksters in my view.
May he Rest in Peace with his pals!!
Not an easy life for sure. The beating a body takes in some jobs is incredible. May God bless his family and bring them peace.
I saw a clip on the news tonight of Hulk picking up Andre the Giant over his head and body-slamming him.
The amount of strength it took to do that, even if Andre was partially assisting the momentum … Whoa!!!
I realized, when it just played on RAV, that I had never actually caught Hogan’s barnburner of a speech at last year’s convention. I was away in a place where I could get only bits and pieces of the RNC at the time – only heard about it later.
It touched me that RAV said he found faith late, as did I.
Evidently he was one of the living definitions of a Real Man.
Right side broadcasting’s commentator had a great 2 minute eulogy
Glad Hulk found his savior before he passed. My one unique memory was from the early 90’s during a business trip to Schwarzenburg in E Germany. This was the home of their Olympic Ski Team and had recently been opened up to the West. The company we were working with took us to see a huge natural amphitheater that had been carved out of a mountainside decades earlier for a Hitler speech (never was held). The community was using it for theater and concerts. Imagine my surprise when walking on the back side of the stage I found posters of a wrestling event held two weeks earlier featuring Hulk Hogan. Thanks for the great speech last year supporting President Trump, RIP Hulk.
Terry was a good man.
That was the best!! Rest on Peace Brother!!
There are wrestlers and then there are wrestlers.
Minnesota had Jessie the body Ventura — who wanted to come back as a bra — for governor.
How different things would be now if we had a real hulk of a man for governor instead.
Oh the glorious things Terry is seeing right now, before the Throne of Grace. . .
Jessie Ventura had a great show:

Rest in peace, “Hulkster”.
The end of an era… my kids grew up watching the “Hulkster.” They loved him!
Sincere condolences to his wife & family/friends. God speed Hulkster!
Yes. Saturdays at our house were always wrestling days. There were the guy wrestlers and then the “GLOW”, aka “Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling “. Wouldn’t have missed it for the world.
One never knows when it’s their day. Only the Lord does. Mr. Bollea was a whole lot healthier than most 71 year old guys. Yet, he’s gone in an instant. A lesson to us all in this “eternal youth” seeking generation. Also happy he gave his life over to Jesus, late, but not too late.
I have to laugh. I had my annual physical a month ago. My BP was 100/60, a bit lower than usual. All my blood stats were good. My doctor said that (even though I’m obese – still working on that issue), I was on track for a long life. Well, a month later, I’m back in his office for a couple of minor issues. My BP is 140/80 (then retested, 130/80). Still not bad, but a big difference from a month ago. I’ve had heart surgery before, too. Truth is, I could be outta here at any moment. That ticks my wife off and worries my friends when I say that. But the bottom line is, I don’t want to be here a MOMENT longer than is the Lord’s will (i.e. no last minute pleading for “deals”) – I’d rather be out of this evil world and in heaven. Yet, I don’t want to dishonor the Lord’s gift of life by leaving one second earlier, either. I have friends who went out early in their lives, and when I’m down, I remember that they’d loved to have had a few more of the seconds on this earth, that I waste daily.
It’s not how (or when) you die, it’s how you lived the lift you were gifted with, that matters in the end. And, in the end, it looks like “the Hulkster” did a pretty good job of it. RIP.
Most excellent and wonderful statements, Old Salt.
No carbs!!!!!!!!!
remember this
rest in peace….
Thunderlips, the world’s most perfect male.
Dr Jab could take em down quick.
Jackie does.
RIP 🙏🙏 The Hulk🙏
Alex Christoforu mentioned on podcast
Ozzy Osborne died yesterday.
And Chuck Mangione
Thanks! I was unaware of his passing.

Eat your vitamins, say your prayers. Here’s to you Hulk.
My buddy is a recovering addict spent decades abusing himself but he always takes his vitamins. He’s at a physical a few weeks ago , jumps on the table. Rehab Dr says wow you still have all your teeth.
Great speech.
Rest in Peace ☮️ Hulk. You were truly one of a kind and you will be missed.
One of a kind. Rest in peace Hulkster.
RIP, Hulk! Enjoy the party in the presence of the Lord!
Even though I have no proof of Terry’s jab status I’m still infuriated because I know so many are dying way earlier than necessary .
We are witnessing a tsunami of cardiac arrests since the advent of the worldwide mass vaccination program. In virtually every case, the COVID-19 vaccination status is not disclosed to the public.
My God bless you Terry , there will never be another as awesome as you were.
Everything is NOT jab related. Hogan has said numerous times that he did not take the Covid injections. Probably the steroid use from years gone by finally caught up to him.
Getting the truth out about the jab and heart attacks is related jab or no jab.
When the Hulk said many times he didn’t get the covid jab it was his way if warning people not to.
Dr Jab agrees i’m sure.
Ozzie Osborne, Chuck Mangione, Hulk Hogan, Man, they’re droppin’ like flies this week. I never paid much attention to him ’til his speech at the RNC, but now this one hits hardest. R.I.P. Hulk.
Add to this week’s list, Malcolm Jamal Warner, role of son, Theo, on The Cosby Show. He drowned in Puerto Rico.
I read Costa Rica? But that was incredibly sad to read. Jamal-Warner seemed well grounded as an adult without all of the Hollywood child actor pitfalls.
You are correct.
Yes, very sad.
Malcolm Jamaal Warner from the Cosby show also drowned. I believe he was 54. Which is hard to believe.
I was in my 20’s throughout the 1980’s and was primarily stuck on the afternoon shift. During the winter months my Saturday “morning” routine was watching WWF during breakfast on my huge large screen 26″ color TV.
RIP Hulkster.
Hulkamania is running wild!
I used to love wrestling in my youth. Although I never saw Hogan wrestle live, I did get a couple trips to the Eddie Graham sports stadium in Orlando and saw Dusty Rhodes and Jay Youngblood. I always preferred that circuit over McMahon’s WWF.
One of President Trump’s cabinet members is married to The Hulksters old boss. Linda McMahon’ s husband Vince is the president of the WWF.
Yes!
Huge Trump fan. He’s no longer with us. A friend I’ve never met.
RIP my friend.
My sincere condoleances to his next of kin .
My childhood has taken some hard hits this week.
First concert was ozzi fest.
Hogan and wrestling I can definitely blame a broken foot, cracked ankle and a scare after matches. Wrestling with friends.
I saw Ozzi st the Long Beach arena in 1975.
Bark at the Moon -1983 awooooooooo
Used to live on Clearwater Beach where I first met Terry. Such a nice guy. Our side lost a good one today. I like to think of him sharing a beer with Rush and enjoying the Obamagate circus. RIP, Hulkster.
Love that thought.
The Johnny Carson YouTube channel posted this older TV interview today….
Hulkster! This doesn’t work for me, brother 😔
The man was an absolute legend that transcended the wrestling business. He will be missed.
Rest in peace Hulkster you will be greatly missed.
Hulk was quite an amazing person. I’ve been a fan since a child. When Hulk was a kid, he was chubby, and he didn’t like that, so he started waking up early each day to go to the gym before school. His genetics meant he ended up very tall and muscular even without the steroids. He worked out daily for the rest of his life. He never lifted heavy weights (except for in photos) and often said “Big Arms mean Big Checks” some of his friends would recall from time to time.
When he was in High School, he would work at a bank after school, and then play in a band in the evenings on the weekend. He became such a successful person even in high school that he had two Plymouth Road Runners, he bought a manual and then didn’t like it so saved up and bought the exact same car as an automatic! They were even the same color.
When he broke into the wrestling business, he thought it was all real. The japanese wrestler who trained him purposely broke Hulk’s leg, because he didn’t like him. He was so impressed when Hulk came back the next day and apologized for not being able to train that day, that the wrestlers all sort of accepted him as one of their own. In his career he was often derided as not as athletic as the other wrestlers, but in his early days when he wrestled in Japan, he showed a much more skilled repetoire and did a lot of things that you didn’t see a 300 pound man do in the wrestling ring. He was actually quite talented at what he did, but he always knew that the show was more important than the athleticism.
An old timer told him one time that the real fans sat in the back row, because that’s where the cheapest tickets were. The kids in the front row were rich, and would be sitting in the front row of the Circus next week, but the kids in the back row had to beg their parents to bring them to the shows, those were the real fans. So Hulk dressed in Yellow and Red, so you could see the contrast from the top of the stadium. He tied bandanas around his head and shook his head violently when he walked to the ring, so you could see it flying around… he swung those big arms over his head pointing at the rafters as he came out, so all the kids would see how big he was. He was simply the best ever. He took everything the other guys did well and made it his own.
When I was a kid, he wrestled Andre the Giant whom I was convinced was a very bad man, and he actually picked him up. He told all of us if we trained, took our vitamins, said our prayers, and believed in ourself, we could do anything. He said that with us supporting him, his hulkamaniacs, he could beat anybody, even a giant! And then he did. If you weren’t the right age when that happened, you can’t possibly understand what that was like to a 9 year old boy.
It was an honor to get to see him do his thing, absolutely one of my biggest heroes even though the whole thing was a play.
Thanks for the story.
Ditto!
So he was the wrestling version of Trump. 🤩
Now it all begins to make sense. And Trump was a master promoter of athletes and more.
Find the biography channel show on Andre. Guy gave everything he made to charity, kept just enough to feed himself and live humbly
Roids.
Sorry, I know the rules but this is such a stupid, worthless comment. Would you like to go to the NFL or major league baseball next?
My roomie told me about this yesterday. I had totally forgotten about his great speech and the RNC, much as I have almost everything before I became ill in February, except the magnificent inauguration of President Trump. TCTH used to be my go to first thing every morning and has been replaced sadly by things like nebulizer treatments.
RIP sweet hulk of a man. Condolences to all family and friends.

On another note I am truly looking forward to listening to President Trump rip Powell next 😎
My kids and I spent many hours during their preteen years and early teen years watching Hulk, Macho Man Randy Savage, Rowdy Roddy Piper, the Iron Sheik, and the rest of the WWF back in the day. G od speed Hulk. Thank you.
I know this is a political site, but only 69 comments? This guy changed entertainment single handedly. He/WWF brought in MTV and celebrities in the 80’s in a huge boon for the business.
I honestly watched every week. MAGA through and through when it wasn’t cool or is it still not?
Of course we do know the education secretary was married to Vince McMahon. . Honestly, not sure if that is true anymore.
His son in law and daughter now basically run WWE.
