Republicans must remember that they are fighting against a very evil, corrupt and, in many ways, incompetent (Policywise!) group of people, who would rather see our Country “go down in flames” than do the right thing and, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! The Democrats would LOVE to see the Biggest Tax Hike in History (68%!), No Border Spending (Open Borders!), and a weak, underfunded Military, so we wouldn’t be able to do things like we did just one week ago in Iran. We gave the Dems a Debt Extension because it was the right thing to do, but they won’t do it for us. The one thing they do have is an ability to stick together, and vote as one group (They don’t have GRANDSTANDERS!). They also have House and Senate Rules that give Great Power to their Leaders – Committee Chairmanships, etc. Republicans don’t have that, have never been able to get it, BUT THEY SHOULD! What we do have is wonderful people and phenomenal Policy, and that should win Elections every single time!

Schumer to force Senate reading of entire ‘big beautiful bill’.
Schumer said Saturday it was important to read President Trump’s entire 940-page “big beautiful bill” on the Senate floor before any debate on the legislation commences. “I will object to Republicans moving forward on their Big, Ugly Bill without reading it on the Senate floor,” Schumer said on X. “Republicans won’t tell America what’s in the bill.
“So Democrats are forcing it to be read start to finish on the floor,” he said. “We will be here all night if that’s what it takes to read it.”
Schumer’s move is designed to allow Senate Democrats more time to parse through the myriad provisions within the massive legislative text. It also serves as a significant delaying tactic. Trump has said he expects the Senate to approve the bill before July 4th.
The exercise by the clerk could take 15 hours.

Flashback to Schumer : The last time clerks were forced to read the entirety of a bill during the budget reconciliation process was in 2021, when Democrats held the majority in the Senate.
At the time, Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., demanded that the entire, over-600-page American Rescue Act be read aloud. At the time, Schumer, who was then the Senate majority leader, objected to the reading.
Doesn’t he understand the Piglosi rule – “you have to pass it to see what’s in it?”
So, the Republicans have the majority in the U. S. Senate but Dem. Sen. Schumer can dictate this?

I am staunchly against this bill.
Low income residents from Red states will be affected the most.
To quote our current POTUS, the eventual schadenfreude will be “big and beautiful”.
There are aspects of it that I am most definitely against (SALT limit increase, prohibition of states to do anything about AI).

I’d block it too since I vehemently oppose attacks on cash transactions. Using cash most certainly doesn’t make one a criminal, at least in the United States of America I knew.
