The four people killed in this morning’s ballistic missile attack on Beersheba were apparently sheltering in their bomb safe rooms when the projectile impacted, according to a preliminary Home Front Command investigation.
Two missiles were fired at Beersheba in the salvo at 5:40 a.m., with one being intercepted and another striking the sixth floor of an apartment complex in the southern city.
The missile directly hit two bomb safe rooms, completely destroying one of them, and killing four people inside them, according to the probe.
The bomb safe rooms are designed to sustain the shockwave of ballistic missiles as well as shrapnel — though not a direct strike from a large explosive warhead. The Home Front Command says that bombproof rooms are still the safest place to be during ballistic missile attacks.
The Israeli Air Force is investigating why the missile was not intercepted.
Beersheba had received an early warning at 5:07 a.m., yet the sirens only sounded at 5:40 a.m. Civilians were instructed to remain close to bomb shelters during that time.
In all, some 20 missiles were launched by Iran at Israel this morning, in six salvos of 1-3 missiles each, from just before 5 a.m. until just after 7 a.m., according to the IDF.

As someone who was initially critical of how this all came into being, I reached that conclusion as well. I believe the Israeli government boxed Trump in on this, upsetting whatever plans he had and burning whatever goodwill he had with it in the process, so Trump decided to blow up the box and be more or less done with it.
Haven’t read the thread yet, but here’s my simple take.
Let Trump Be Trump.
While I agree in principle the problem is that Trump won’t always be around. While he may be able to control the camel whose is nose is under the tent the next guy is unlikely to be able to and may not even want to do so.
That doesn’t mean Trump shouldn’t be Trump, but I would suggest it means the rest of us should be catious and keep an eye on the nostrils
Reading the comments here it seems as though there is a deep division among Treepers about this whole conflict. I can see where each side is coming from and as with all wars it is hard to discern what is propaganda or fact.
I hope we can all agree to disagree and will be able to change our minds if the facts warrant it. I know I will. At present I am in the “we were manipulated” camp and suspicious of everything.
I am a proponent of peace through strength but we have to be judicious with how we exert it. President Trump is proving that he is by not continuing to expand the conflict. I truly hope the combatant Countries honor the cease fire from here on out and can come to a fair peace agreement.

I have always been a backer of Israel and will continue to be, for the sake of the majority of people, who I think are good people. But there is a side of Israel that has been exposed that makes my enthusiasm guarded. Their absolute hammering of Gaza and it’s people has exposed a brutality that is surprising. And there is no doubt that Israel has a far greater reach into our levers of power than i’m comfortable with.

The fallacy is that the US /Trump, is in complete control of this process. He’s not. The US is not. Israel is not. There is another Party, Iran, that will have some say as to how this episode plays out. The problem is that once conflict starts, control is ephemeral, if possible at all. The conflict will take on its own life and direction and could escalate dramatically despite Trump’s best intentions. It was a foolish gambit, the consequences of which, are yet to be written. Imagine a new robust defense agreement between Russia China and Iran. Is that in anyone’s best interest? Will Iran negotiate with Trump after his blatant deception. Hard to see why they would.

For some reason, I understood that Donald Trump had plans to develop that area, but yet I didn’t know about the canal plan that is a part of this-and the greater, entire picture here that will be that regions future- I’ve read so much and yet I have not seen the entire picture yet as you’ve explained. I hadn’t really dug into it so it’s my own fault.

Much is being made right now by people all over about what the Iranians may have removed from Fordow onto those trucks and where those trucks went.
I’m 99% sure that on the 19th and 20th of this month, far after the highly successful Israelis had been surveilling EVERYTHING Iranian, far after the USA had been doing the same with their own satellites and other spying equipment, including good old fashioned eyes on the ground, we KNOW WHERE THOSE TRUCKS WERE DRIVEN.

We did our part to protect US interests and a valuable ME ally: Not allowing “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” Iran to have nuclear weapons. Trump got them both to agree to a ceasefire. Israel has to now make a decision on what they are willing to tolerate from their neighbor Iran, who has vowed to “finish the Holocaust.”We know the current regime in Iran is not going to behave themselves. The antisemitic venom that shares the sentiments of the Iranian regime is in our faces everywhere now. If Israel wants to support a regime change that would be a more rationale, civilized neighbor, IMHO that’s their business. But I think it would benefit the Iranian people, who deserve better than their demonic psycho-moolah overlords, as well as the US and everyone in the region. In particular, my heart goes out to the women in Iran. Every woman should have the right to take off their shroud, dance in the street with joy if they’d like, and not fear being imprisoned or put to death for that.
