Apparently, each week the Dept of Govt Efficiency (DOGE) team gets together for a weekly debriefing and recap session of what is happening in the various agencies under review. Fox News host Jesse Watters accompanied Elon Musk to this week’s meeting.

None of it matters unless Congress puts the findings into a real budget. Fat chance.
Anytime they want they could do something like this at 7pm Central and go for 2 hours and just blow Hannity into the pre-empted category. Was a good piece, worthwhile for people to watch.
In fact, as follow-up, I’d like to hear back on some of the criminal referrals they mentioned. DoJ could use their Press Officer; no reason for Bondi to rack up Appearance # 716.

in TGP told of two different former Govt. employees pleading guilty to scamming $, one $600,000, the other $400,000.
I think the referrals ARE being followed up on, by DOJ.

The DOGE Team was not only interesting in sharing the details of what they’ve found, but energetic young patriots who’ve quit school, jobs, and normal lives to help save the country from some of the most vile corruption. I would watch them every week.
This is all great, grand, and wonderful that waste in government is finally being addressed. What evidence, if any, will we be shown to prove that these wasteful practices have been permanently eliminated?
Is any of this waste a byproduct of criminal activity? If so, when do we see the names of the culprits involved and, more importantly, the criminal prosecutions?
Anything less is just a dog(e) and pony show.

“Permanent” elimination means the grifters in congress (both parties) need to legislatively eliminate things. I ain’t holding my breath.

Exactly. And that brings the challenge of getting law breaking lawmakers to prosecute and incarcerate themselves.
I want the DOGE teams to be successful, but I can’t help but get the feeling that they’re up against an establishment so deeply rooted that the only outcome will be kicking the can down the road.
Lots of clanking noses and commotion, but in the end just stall tactics designed to outlast the presidency.
Better thought is, take this one day at a time. Arrest, arrest, arrest… Yes we all want some. The process will eventually lead to an outcome.
The one mention by Musk is that the DOGE team change the system enough that bringing back the fraud and waste is more complicated. That is the key here. Changing the system means bringing in the Sunlight to each agency. Updating old systems with new technology that is probably faster, more efficient and less likely to be compromised.
Again, take it one day at a time, which is all we really can do. President Triumph has many more days at the helm of this monstrous and out of control bureaucracy. With most of these young, conservative minded, energetic Patriots we may just save this country. One day at a time. Gods will be done! Amen.

Most of it is not “criminal” (as in prosecutable) – it is allowed by the system. The failed system must be changed. Incidentally, the failed gov’t system operates at a snail’s pace, whereas real life changes for citizens are happening so rapidly now that it is hard to keep up.
Be thankful for these patriots exposing it all. They are doing the best they can (and didn’t have to). It is up to us to demand change.
If you or I did this ‘stealing’ it would be prosecuted. Government employees really ARE a special class….unless you enlisted in the military, any branch.
Yes, the system fails us – and it has continued to compound itself. Maybe it started by apathy, maybe by negligence, maybe by ignorance, maybe now by design.
Either way, many have benefited from our loss. There has been no incentive to correct this exponentially complicated system of corruption.
It’s so far gone that now it takes Billionaires who care, to just have the balls to point it out to the sleeping populace. Now it’s time for us to wake up and do our duty.
It is proscecutable if the money was used for personal gain (e.g., cars, houses, etc) and taxes were not paid on it.

Regarding “permanently eliminated” . . . My understanding from the discussion was that there are no guarantees that the corruption can be permanently eliminated. However, what the DOGE team is doing, by dismantling and cleaning up the existing systems, will make it extremely more difficult and less likely that bad actors can go in and reset similar conditions for future theft.
The one thing I see missing so far is the “deterrent factor.” Until accountability for criminality and fraud as well as for the blatant and often self serving derelect handling/handing out of taxpayer monies is addressed, I don’t see a lot changing over the long term. If the managers, especially Congress, don’t set up and then requireand monitor justification and audits on both the systems, including those with new safeguards, and on the employees performing under those systems, taxpayers will remain at the mercy of the puppeteers and their well-trained and brainwashed puppets.

And I am still hoping that Musk will follow through on his poll to audit members of Congress and how they have been accumulating wealth.
They don’t even work half the year; always on some trip, or something and constantly cause disappointment in their performance.
Would love to find a way to eject them out of Congress (without having to vote them out), but based on their lack of performance, spending, honesty and virtue. Heck, they’d probably all be gone if their virtue was evaluated.
Eliminate their pay and have volunteers only. Maybe give them housing at a single location (a large hotel would do–there are only 535 of them), and a meals allowance and a modest travel budget.
They answered that question at least twice. Not with specifics yet, but they said they were working on language and procedures to make it difficult for these practices to resurrect. You can never say you’ve made it permanent. Criminals do what what criminals do…
How much more do you know now than you did, say 8 years ago? I understand pessimism, I wallow in it from time to time, but we know a LOT more about what has been going on under our noses and there are things we can do to force change. For example, most of us know exactly who the entrenched rinos are and it is time to go Alinsky on them. Name them, ridicule them, shame them over and over, primary them and work to stop election fraud. We are 80,000,000 strong; and that is a lot of strong. Force your internet name on some of them and they will implode.

DOGE, Department of Government Efficiency is auditing government departments that the President has authorized them to audit.
Via this audit, this department is explaining what they found and offer ways to correct the problems and refer to DOJ, FBI or other appropriate agencies for review, investigation and/or corrective action.
BUT the Press, and the corrupt legislators either outright lie or obfuscate what is actually happening and why.
So, it’s not a yes or no answer.
