The US Can’t “Drown the world in cheap oil and gas” Oil and gas leaving our country must leave on ships. Shipping is expensive. Fracking oil is very expensive compared to just drilling a hole in the ground.

Even with our record oil production. The US imports about 6500 BARRELS of Heavy Sour Crude Oil a day. This must be done because the US has little heavy crude oil production.
Heavy crude must be mixed with Our oil light sweet oil, obtained by fracking, so it can be refined. Light sweet oil has a higher flash point than heavy crude. If not mixed with Heavy Sour. Our refineries would explode and catch on fire if they just refined our Light oils without mixing.
To refine Light Oils would require rebuilding all our refineries. Good Luck with that. Because of regulations the US has not built a Oil Refinery since the 1970s.

Also, even if Trump could crush Russia it would be a bad idea to actually do so because it would only push Russia deeper into the orbit of China and give China more control.
A far quicker way to end the Ukraine war would instead be to crush the German and EU economy. (Germany dominates the EU economy.)

Trump will keep up appearances with Ukraine and work towards a managed settlement. We have nothing to threaten Russia with economically and it’ll take time to bring energy prices down. At best, we can hope Putin will offer a few mild concessions (eg Zekensky goes into exile) to stop the killing. They can slowly grind down the Ukraine army, but they want fewer casualties, too.
What we’ll probably see is a Russian satellite state with a Russia friendly government in Kiev. The Donbas stays autonomous, and Russian troops stay there to protect ethnic Russians from western shenanigans.
Anyway, the Biden regime blew its wad in Ukraine and there’s nothing left. Trump has a weak hand.
He can strengthen his hand by partnering with the Russians to target the Western agitators (Kagan, Nuland, etc) who started the war.
They just had the best economy since 2011. Sanctions helped Russia, and hurt Europe.

The Russians have been very clear this entire time why they are fighting and what their goals are.
Their stated goals since 2014 are a neutral Ukraine which can enter the EU, but never into NATO. The election of a president and legitimate government in Ukraine (the Green Gnome in Kiev was installed by a US coup initially and has remained in power illegally since March of 2024 along with their Parliment).
The cessation of killing ethnic Russians, religious freedom, respect for the use of Russian language, removing the Nazi armed thug organizations that enforce the Ukrainian dictatorship, and a limited, non offensive military. No more US operated bio weapon labs and foreign military.
These are all sane and reasonable demands which were almost agreed to, until Boris Johnson was sent to Kiev and order Zelenskii to fight instead.

Interesting to watch President Trump. I enjoyed his truthfulness and honesty with people who are in some ways his peers as fellow businessmen and women. However, what Trump achieved in the election of 2024 places him in a class of his own. Nobody has ever been through what he has been through and come back to inspire a generation of men and women to NEVER GIVE UP!
The world is hungry for leaders who can tell the truth both to their supporters and to those with whom the leader disagrees. Our country is hungry for male heroes, both women and men in this country have been hoping for a figure of inspiration since JFK, which I recall from when I was 9 and 10 years old. The way men have been treated in this country is shameful. We MAGA men and women are going to turn that around.
Trump truly is what the world needs right now.

Think of all the serial womanizers JFK has inspired. It was JFK who first showed us that not only could we claim credit for a book we didn’t write, we could also humbly accept the Pulitzer Prize for it. JFK helped lead the way in stealing elections. Let’s not even talk about his crass, cowardly treatment of his own sister who he turned his back on after she was lobotomized. He screwed up the US response at the Bay of Pigs. JFK was trash.
He was still inspiring to many. I don’t think he inspired anyone to be a womanizer who wasn’t already doing that.
It was a different time.
It wasn’t all that different. I was 19-20 years at the time JFK was killed. I certainly followed all of the events very, very closely. Walked down to the local neighborhood store twice a day in Los Angeles to get the newspaper (they were still published twice a day at the time) to keep up with things. I had followed national news since Eisenhower’s time, appropriate to my age. I was grateful that JFK was able to navigate the Cuba/missile mess successfully, both at the time and later.
It was always “fun and interesting” to follow all things JFK, including Jackie’s fashion sense, but I never understood what the overall “national leadership” appeal was, either at the time or in retrospect.
He probably didn’t inspire anyone to be a womanizer, but I knew at the time that he was. I never had him on any kind of pedestal. At all.
I guess what was different is how the media handled information. Maybe that’s Clarion’s primary point. Dunno. My point is that, as an individual, I didn’t find such behavior and such people in government any less disgusting than I do now.

The sincerity in his voice when he spoke about the tragedy in Ukraine where so many young people were being killed needlessly was, to me, very moving.
That’s the sentiment which JFK carried with him after the Bay of Pigs where he was confronted with the likelihood of war with Russia. And it was for that sentiment that he died.
And, I think both Putin and Xi will hear and agree with that sentiment. Which makes an end to both Ukraine and Gaza, to me anyway, all the more likely.
But, I fear this: Trumps genuine aversion to war and his determination to avoid them does not sit well with the stakeholders who tried to kill him at Butler PA. To them, war is a means to an end. And that end has no place for peace.
