President Trump announced that billionaire founder of DAMAC Properties, Hussain Sajwani, will be investing $20 billion in new U.S. datacenters that will be used to operate high speed artificial intelligence (AI) systems. Noting, “at least $20 billion over a very short period of time.” Trump suggested that number could double, and that the company’s founder was inspired by his election victory.
The data centers will be used for AI, and the initial phase will be in Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Ohio, Illinois, Michigan and Indiana. Mr Sajwani confirmed during the press remarks that it was the election of President Trump that cemented the idea to build the massive data centers.
This investment appears to align with the AI interests of Silicon Valley entrepreneurs who were big boosters in the final weeks of the campaign. Following the announcement President Trump took questions from the press pool. WATCH:
Hussain Sajwani, has long-standing ties to President Donald Trump. His business, DAMAC Properties, worked with the Trump Organization on a Trump golf course in Dubai. Mr Sajwani and Elon Musk joined President Trump for the New Year celebration in Mar-a-Lago.
Asked by a reporter whether he can assure the public that he will not use military or economic coercion to get control of Greenland and the Panama Canal, Trump flatly said “no.”
“No, I can’t assure you on either of those two. But I can say this. We need them for economic security,” Trump said.
Steve Witkoff, President-elect Donald Trump’s Middle East envoy, made a brief appearance alongside Trump and said that he is making “good progress” on a deal to release Israeli hostages.
Witkoff, who said he is “on the verge” of a deal, said he is likely to return to the region by Wednesday.
President-elect Donald Trump also said he will be “making major pardons” for defendants who have faced charges related to the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol.
RELATED CONTEXT – The database that is currently being scanned by the Palantir AI product is NSA level captures.
Real ID (Driver’s License and Passport pictures) combined with full spectrum social media (FB, Insta, Google, and every cell phone camera picture/selfie you take) that identifies your personage (plus more, like images from airports, point of sale, ATM machines, tolls, APLR captures, etc).
That combined massive meta-database is the library (govt and private sector combined) that is subsequently searched by the Palantir AI software to return results on facial recognition.
Everyone gets ID’d. Take a football stadium high-resolution picture and with AI assisting, 99% of the crowd is identified in moments with links to their electronic and digital fingerprints.
The issue I note is that a few faces are NOT identified during the search result. When queried, the “ghost walkers” appear to be classified identities that require escalating levels of authorization to open up the ID.
That’s the system we have now. It is being refined.
Even if it is used in the deportation operation, I still do not like this level of surveillance capability by government. I guess I’m just paranoid about what government can do with a system like this if they choose to weaponize it.
I wonder why our president is helping to add capability to this system.

Hmmm, so I’m not the only one coming back after awhile to find that out…..Hopefully, it’s temporary?
It is my understanding that these AI Data Centers require vast amounts of electrical energy. Since our electric grid is so overloaded and fragile as it is, how can these things be contemplated without long-term, non-green energy-producing facilities (nuclear, coal/natural gas powered) being first built and brought online? This will take years to complete.
President Trump has said so many times in rallies and elsewhere that in 2020-2021 things were really getting ready to break wide open for the USA. The UNITY was already there and people were flocking to his door wanting to do business in the USA.
Why? Because of the Tax Cuts and Job Act of 2017. That not only lowered their business taxes, but our personal taxes too. That not only lowered their energy and supply costs, but ours too, including the first ever, in my lifetime, energy credits to offset about 1.5 months of energy bills in the dead of winter of 2019. Our rates went down retroactively, and we got credits for overpaying. That was probably also the first ever energy bill reduction too, and I lived through the Jimmy Carter days.
The proof was in the pudding when it came to President Trump’s economy!
I see these press conferences to announce the influx of new money as a continuation of the Big Boom of 2020-2021 that was already beginning to happen based on his extremely successful transformation of the USA business-scape since 2017. He promised and he delivered.
President Trump is a man who looks for optimal solutions. These people have money they want to invest and they can easily go elsewhere. There are hundreds of countries out there who would die for a piece of this minimum announced $120 billion so far. And that is just those who are willing to talk about it publicly, as he just said.
The DIMs/UNIParty think that the gubt has to SPEND MONEY to create jobs out of taxing and taxing and taxing and feeing and feeing and feeing the working class to death. Importing illegals and making us pay for them and their babies and families, while their importation beefs up the gubts fake property values and subsequent property taxes.
President Trump says NO. Give businesses the incentive to move/build/invest their business here and they will come. They choose what they invest in, but he has made it clear that the mammoth operations should not impose harm upon the American people. Take care of your own electricity and water and be self sufficient if you are building big plants/data centers of any kind.
He is going back through his rolodex and reminding them “I’m Back! The USA is open for business again!” He charms them, gets them in front of a mic and asks them to double it on the spot. 🙂 🙂 🙂
