President Trump announced that billionaire founder of DAMAC Properties, Hussain Sajwani, will be investing $20 billion in new U.S. datacenters that will be used to operate high speed artificial intelligence (AI) systems. Noting, “at least $20 billion over a very short period of time.” Trump suggested that number could double, and that the company’s founder was inspired by his election victory.
The data centers will be used for AI, and the initial phase will be in Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Ohio, Illinois, Michigan and Indiana. Mr Sajwani confirmed during the press remarks that it was the election of President Trump that cemented the idea to build the massive data centers.
This investment appears to align with the AI interests of Silicon Valley entrepreneurs who were big boosters in the final weeks of the campaign. Following the announcement President Trump took questions from the press pool. WATCH:

“No, I can’t assure you on either of those two. But I can say this. We need them for economic security,” Trump said.
Steve Witkoff, President-elect Donald Trump’s Middle East envoy, made a brief appearance alongside Trump and said that he is making “good progress” on a deal to release Israeli hostages.
Witkoff, who said he is “on the verge” of a deal, said he is likely to return to the region by Wednesday.
President-elect Donald Trump also said he will be “making major pardons” for defendants who have faced charges related to the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol.

Everyone gets ID’d. Take a football stadium high-resolution picture and with AI assisting, 99% of the crowd is identified in moments with links to their electronic and digital fingerprints.
The issue I note is that a few faces are NOT identified during the search result. When queried, the “ghost walkers” appear to be classified identities that require escalating levels of authorization to open up the ID.
That’s the system we have now. It is being refined.
Even if it is used in the deportation operation, I still do not like this level of surveillance capability by government. I guess I’m just paranoid about what government can do with a system like this if they choose to weaponize it.

There is a new facility on the Indiana side of the state line on Lake Michigan. Google: Quantum computing South Works to see the plans for the old US Steel South Works site in South Chicago….construction begins later this year. These centers require a vast amount of water for cooling purposes. The Great Lakes provide an ideal location.

Sounds like the North American Union to me and it is as serious as death. Death of America as a individual country and death to our constitution and death to our dwindling freedoms.
A North American Union is the only possibility since statehood for Canada is a non-starter for too many reasons to even mention. That’s why I think it’s ridiculous to even discuss it.
If we’re lucky, perhaps this is just an opening position to negotiate new and improved trade agreements between Canada and the U.S. If it’s not and something similar to the EU is being contemplated by those at the top, God help us.

Canada as the 51st state is as dumb as it gets. That would be adding a massive amount of Democrat voters. Yes, it’s the North American Union which was predicted and studied during the first Bush administration in the mid 80s. The next fricking thing he will want is Mexico.
Two-thirds of Canada’s recent population growth is accounted for by immigrants. Canada has one of the highest per capita immigration rates in the world. Under a North American Union, those immigrants become our immigrants.

I agree 100%. The government always pushes their authority to the limit. Being able to click one button and bring up all of our digital info is not a good thing. What happened to the right to PRIVACY!!!
The government is already breaking the law see 4th AMENDMENT……. If they can break the law at this early stage and no one says anything, then guess what, the sky’s the limit on what they will do.

I learned much over the holidays in talking to my daughters and their friends about what younger folks think about privacy. Gen Z’ers think differently about privacy than we do. While we have serious 4th amendment concerns, I learned that , “Gen Z worries most about the exposure of their private information because of the chance of harassment, bullying, and lost friendships. ” Really?

They think this way because they’ve been raised to have a whole lot of feelings.. that they think are very important.
