Schools are closed for the rest of the week in Barrow County, Georgia as the community deals with a major tragedy. Four people including two students, and two teachers are dead; nine others are injured after 14-year-old gunman Colt Gray opened fire at Apalachee High School in northern Georgia.
More than a year ago, tips about online posts threatening a school shooting led Georgia police to interview a 13-year-old boy, but investigators didn’t have enough evidence for an arrest. Colt Gray has been charged as an adult in the deaths of Apalachee High School students Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, both 14, and instructors Richard Aspinwall, 39, and Christina Irimie, 53.
Two school resource officers encountered the shooter within minutes after a report of shots fired went out … The teen immediately surrendered and was taken into custody.
(VIA CBS) – The teen had been interviewed after the FBI received anonymous tips in May 2023 about online threats to commit an unspecified school shooting, the agency said in a statement. [SOURCE LINK]

Both Crooks and Gray were on Discord as well.
The interesting thing about this shooter was how meekly he surrendered to the armed two safety employees of the school. Most of those people kill themselves. It makes a person wonder if the shooters are not pre-programmed for one situation or the other.
Exactly, its the ssri every time. But dont forget its that inanimate gun
that killed em
More than likely, he was not taking any medicine prescribed. Imho you gotta assume noncompliance, until blood levels are known.
another good reason to defund the fbi.
True mission of the FBI and the shadow government = chaos.
Yes. I actually believe the Biden Govt FBI very likely deliberately caused (or permitted) this shooting.
The reason is that KH’s campaign is floundering. A school shooting creates another emotional and triggerimg talking point for KH/dems 2 months b4 the election – gun control.
Is the kid on drugs? Ever see the Manchurian Candidate? Is it possible to trigger this child? It is possible. Did they? I don’t know.
Would a maniacal politically weaponized fed agency/FBI … want this shooting to help KHs campaign? Probably. After all, they DID conspire to assassinate PDJT. Why wouldn’t they do this too?
Almost all of these school (and other) shooters are known to the FBI, local police b4 they commit the crime they say they will commit … yet they are somehow permitted to folliw through on their threat… to kill.
School mass shootings are enraging to Americans. Every threat tp every school should be taken very seriously. The kid should have been required to seek psychological help. It’s not normal to threaten and plot a mass murder. This kid had serious mental /psychological issues. You can’t just ignore it.
Turns out the father of the shooter was just arrested for manslaughter… and other charges.
Apparently the shooter’s father bought his son an AR-15 for Christmas 2023, 7 months after local police visited their home b/c his kid threatened to kill students/teachers at the school.
I agree- arrest the father.
It shows very poor judgement at the very least.
Alternate scenario;
Dad is divorced from drug addicted mother, kids are his responsibility alone. He is a single parent so he has to hold down a job and also take care of traumatized children.
Police come interview him and the son because FBI has received tip son is posting threatening statements on a website. However, the son is convincing to overwhelmed dad, who wants to believe son is being truthful.
They live in an area which is a hunting and gun culture. Dad buys son a gun for Christmas so they can go hunt/shoot together, hoping it is a positive for their relationship.
Unfortunately, the son was lying about posting the online threats and uses the gun to kill four people and injure others.
Sometimes parents can be subject to wishful thinking, not wanting to admit to themselves how serious a child’s mental health struggles are, or that a child is lying.
I am not trying to convince anyone this is how it “went down”. But it is a possibility that there are elements of this in the situation.
Very plausible; the dad didn’t pull the trigger. He’s not guilty of anything but being a father. Slippery slopes….
Your teenage kid is using your car. You know they drink and have fun….they also take liquor from your liquor cabinet. They get in a DUI accident killing two people….
Slippery slopes.
Bad or misguided judgement is not criminal. They had no evidence in 2023. Slippery slopes.
If they are charging the teen as an adult, suggesting he/she is capable of adult judgment and decision making, then it doesn’t make sense to charge the father.
oh they can do and have done both.
If you don’t like that scenario, why until AI fires up the Minority Report.
uh huh… buying a 13yo an assault rifle to make him feel better himself???
Poor judgment on the part of the father.
Assault rifle?
Yes
Read a book where a hunter made an AR style rifle for his son to use for hunting. Author said the customization of ARs makes them so desirable. His son was too small for a traditional hunting rifle.
You obviously haven’t grown up around a hunting culture. There are a lot of stable, emotionally healthy American families where 13 year olds own guns responsibly and hunt with adult supervision. My family was one of those. It is a traditional, American way of life in many parts of our country.
This is not a stable, emotionally healthy family. It is a broken family in an age of toxic social media and violent video games. And of course a normal child wouldn’t decide to take a gun and kill. But until we admit that our society is in trouble we will have more and more of this.
“In an age of toxic social media and violent video games”…
Keyword: Media
I grew up hunting…mostly squirrels because the deer were poached out and harassed by hounds…inherited an 1897 Winchester 12 gauge when my grandfather passed but learned to bring home the meat with single shot .410 and .22…was gifted an 873 Remington at 15 yrs of age and took on old Smith black powder double barrel shotgun of my great grandfather’s to elementary school for show and tell…
So I’m a bit dated now…but ‘media’ in almost every format/venue is being used against our republic.
Assault Riffle?
The AR-15 platform is the best DEFENSE rifle you can buy.
That’s why law enforcement switched from shotguns to AR’s .
“AR” stands for “Armalite”. The Armalite company came up with the style.
During hunting season at my highschool most trucks had guns in the rear window gun rack during hunting season.
A popular song had these lyrics “..a shotgun, rifle, and a 4 wheel drive. A country boy can survive.”
I had a Marlin 30-30 at age 14 and a Remington semi auto 30-06 at age 16.
If kids are not introduced to guns at an early age most will never own one.
The puppet masters will be well aware of this.
What kind of a chill do you think this is having on parents buying their sons hunting rifles?
I got my first gun at 6 years old,(22 single shot).
Bought at Western Auto store with no government paperwork. Like buying a lawnmower.
No pysciatric drug cocktails paid for by the state at that time. No such thing as Autism either.
Public schools didn’t require vaccination until Rosslyn Carter pushed it in 1978.
“…hoping it is a positive for their relationship.” Dad’s lucky he’s alive, mother who did the same for her son is dead by his hand.
How about arresting all the LE personnel who watched this slow train wreck occur over the course of a year or more. Their hands are tied unless it’s a grandmother praying outside of an abortion clinic. Not for weakening 2A but saying their hands were tied is unacceptable to me.
How about those yellow striped vested GBI, another layer of LE in Georgia.
Life: Hard labor for Dad
-after watching his kid have a seat in Ol’ Sparky.
Next week.
This kid won’t get the death penalty because of his age even if he is charged and convicted as an adult.
https://deathpenaltyinfo.org/policy-issues/juveniles/prior-to-roper-v-simmons
14 is just too young and SCOTUS would rule against it.
Since owning a gun is protected by the constitution as a “natural right”.
How about instant deportation and permanently stripping citizenship of any American who doesn’t support the constitution.
Treason?
Wrong. Then they should have arrested the President Trump shooter’s father. Extremely slippery slope here. A lot of damn good parents have bad children for whatever reason. After 32 years of education, you better believe I have seen it first hand. Not to this level, but problems nonetheless.
I guess Bundy’s parents, Richard Speck, Manson, John Wayne Gacy, Dahmer…….. see the pattern whether shooter or otherwise?
But the six-year old who shot his teacher because his mother left her gun out & lied about it gets a slap on the wrist. The Dems are also hypocritical about enforcement on this issue
The kid denied making any threats.
Police and FBI had no evidence it was him.
So the father should act on unfounded accusations?
I also note Colt is going to be charged as an adult.
If he is an adult, then the father is not responsible for his adult child’s actions
These kids (sisters also) had a drug addicted mother.
Imagine going to school with old unwashed clothes and being ridiculed daily.
They had just relocated to a different county. So totally separate school system.
This kid should have been in some kind of alternative schooling program or homeschooled.
I guarantee you this kid had already learned everything he would ever learn in a classroom.
Keeping this kid in a public school was ridiculous.
He was not going to the prom, he was not going to graduate, definitely not a future Rhodes’ Scholar, not going to ace Algebra II, and probably didn’t have one single friend in school. Daily torture sessions.
Read Jon Taylor Gatto’s book “Weapons of Mass Instruction” (National teacher of the year twice.)
Read the chapter on his Amish student that was missing a day a week to intern for work. “So he wouldn’t be trapped in a job he hated” like ‘school teacher’. Which Gatto was trapped in because of debt.
Or read Pete Hegseth’s, “Battle for the American Mind”. Same story, public schools used to indoctrinate a new anti Christian culture not educate.
The public school system is not reparable.
This is so spot on.
Even if schools were ok in the past, they’re not now.
Even if many teachers are trying to do right, the system is designed to fail.
——-
Times change. It’s just life. Get your teens out of school, you won’t regret it.
I agree with you.
We won;t get the truth about the Trump shooter either.
They let that happen too.
The mass school shooting happens a month or so before every election!!!
MK U1tra is a heckofa drug
Why are you still entitled & enabled to go to school after you’ve made enough noise about you’re going to commit a mass shooting, such that it generates LE attention? After all, you WANT people to report these kinds of people so you can catch them before they kill..
As to the FBI’s role in mass shootings & not watching known suspects, this is something consistently done by the FBI, no matter who the POTUS is. And now within the last few weeks, they’re going after Mayor Adams, his campaign, HochMeANewOne’s former #2 & other Democrats. What’s up with that?
Time to change their marching orders or do away with them entirely!! I am so tired of Chris Wray’s “warnings” that his troops do nothing about.
The fbi is used for domestic terrorism events.
In this case to facilitate the event and NOT prevent it.
The FBI is a domestic terror org that is used by the regime in power currently.
Combining 2 stories here in Georgia.
These are FED priorities. This is F’d up.
14 men arrested in Georgia, Florida, Alabama on animal cruelty/animal fighting.
https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/fourteen-charged-federal-dog-fighting-offenses-three-state-arrest-operation
And FBI interviewed the then 13 year old HS shooter in May 2023 on online internet threats and not enough to detain or monitor.
https://x.com/FBIAtlanta/status/1831479818749141244
FWIW, FBI has stated emphatically that they took the tip, located the source, and passed it on to GA folks (County). They were NOT who went to the residence and interviewed the family. Their story.
The stories about the monkey mutilation and torture on that same website were horrifying. WTF is wrong with people.
You do realize that what they are doing online for $$ from sick people is also what they are doing to . . .
Satanic.
That’s the kind of “free speech” Democrats want everywhere. Same with pornography.
Dog fighters are some of the lowest forms of humanity, and are more often than not human and narcotics traffickers.
People that enjoy harming animals enjoy harming people, period.
oh yes… very well known correlation.
First, let me say that I have no respect or admiration for the FBI in its current politically corrupted state.
That said, what do people think the FBI should have done with the information they possessed in this case?
They say that they didn’t have enough evidence to charge the kid with anything.
If true, then what should their response have been, beyond simply alerting state and local police to the potential problem?
Having spent 29 years in law enforcement, I’ve encountered similar situations.
Other than alerting school authorities and area police agencies, my hands were legally tied.
It’s situations like this that have led, in part, to the enactment of Red Flag laws (which I oppose).
In cases where there was probable cause to believe the individual was mentally unstable, I could take them for an involuntary exam by a mental health professional, but hearsay information isn’t sufficient to do such a thing.
Any law that empowers law enforcement to take more action in such scenarios would inevitably curtail civil rights.
Should they have seized the father’s guns?
What about his 2nd amendment rights?
I’m just curious what others think should or could have been done.
I think some commenters have noted the discrepancy in FBI selective “following” the law. Hammer down on grannies praying in front of abortion clinics. Looking other way when more advantageous to do so.
About 10 years ago it was reported that kids were killing other kids in L.A. county with guns. All the kids were non white.
One kid coming to school with a pistol and killing one kid.
The killers had nothing in common so they looked at the victims. All were known to bully other kids.
The bullied kids apparently got tired of no response from the system.
The public school system is very different from 20 years ago.
In an interview by Sean Hannity, Pete Hegseth said the only thing parents can do is GET THEIR KIDS OUT OF THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
Read his book, “Battle for the American Mind;..”.
Just read the 5 page preface by coauthor David Goodwin. The public schools are much worse than you think they are.
This kid reportedly was constantly harassed at school. He had just moved to another county so a totally different school system.
The new county probably has no info about this kid.
Look at the current status of this case. Why keep it so mysterious?
Everything about this kid could be discovered by a good investigator in one afternoon on a phone.
Why not show pics of the deceased?
What they have released in no way should lead an intelligent person to blame the father’s guns.
If you don’t believe his father should own guns please move to the United Kingdom. You were never meant to be FREE!
I sent my son to a private school (K-12).
It was quite a financial hardship to do so, but it was worth every penny.
What I found interesting is that my neighbor, a liberal teacher’s union delegate, sent her daughter to the same school.
Not surprising at all, hypocrisy runs deep among “liberals”. Liberals, pretty archaic at this point, at least from the classic definition of liberal.
Private schools are absolutely some of the worst for everything. Look during covid or anything else these days. Even religious aspects. But I’m glad you spent your money and liked it.
If you can afford an AR 15, a gun safe should be no problem?
Or hold off on owning guns til the kids grows up and moves out?
“If you can afford an AR 15…”
They are not expensive, though they can be for top of the line components.
As low as $450 for brand new 5.56 chambered, available every day.
Most especially if your kid posts online that he wants to kill people.
why didn’t the fbi know exactly where the threats came from?
the father bought the psychopath the AR as a “present”. As a parent it is incomprehensible to me that any parent would act in such a reckless and dangerous manner. Why not put a 5 yo behind the wheel… take a trip down the street.
If the dad bought his kid a gun knowing the kid was being bullied & knowing his kid had made threats of mass shootings, then this ISN’T about dad’s guns. It appears the dad was also using the internet encouraging mass shootings. Four people are dead & many more wounded & traumatized.
We know what the root cause of these mass shootings are: BULLYING at schools, on the internet, co-workers, etc., & we’ve all been bullied. But we do nothing to stop schools from tolerating & encouraging it because every child has the absolute right to an education with his peers. We should be rethinking why bullies have an absolute right to bully because they have to be in a classroom.
TBS, & with all due respect to our family hunting together traditions, charging the dad should be a wake up call to all parents. Because responsibility starts at home. And the parents of that kid who had a gun in his back pack who was allowed to take tge back pack with him back to class did get charged & convicted.
We’re not talking about 20-yr olds who are adults.
As a school teacher, I have some questions and also some suggestions. Was the staff made aware that this kid had mental issues and possibly threatened violence? How did the kid get the gun into school? Where did he hide it? If a student at my school would make threats, I want to know. That kid should be monitored constantly, as we are required to do when a kid is suicidal. He shouldn’t be permitted to go anywhere without an escort. It could even be done discreetly so the student didn’t even know. We have a sheriff on duty all the time the kids are in school. He can almost always be found watching the monitors. A majority of schools now have “mental health professionals”. He should have been visiting that office on a regular basis. There may not have been anything police could have done, but there are things the school can do if they are made aware. I keep my door locked on the outside, and I don’t let students answer the door any more.
Following the Columbine shooting, the New York State Police created their Safe Schools program.
I was one of the first troopers assigned to act as a liaison to schools in a five county region.
With the exception of one enthusiastic young principal, I found most school administrators to be rather disinterested.
A common complaint was a lack of funds, to which I would reply, “How much do you spend on your athletic programs?”
I saw schools spend millions of dollars on a new high school football stadium, yet balk at spending a fraction of that on improved security measures.
When I explained about the importance of keeping exterior doors secure, they complained about fire codes.
Look at what might have been avoided if an exterior door had not been left open in Uvalde, Texas.
When I suggested perimeter fencing around the campus with monitored points of entry/exit, they said that parents would get angry if they couldn’t just walk onto campus to pick up their children.
They cried, “this is a school, not a prison!”
When I suggested school resource officers, they asked, “Who’s going to pay for it?”
It was quite frustrating.
In the years since then, attitudes have changed.
I think administrators are more on board with school security, but they still have a long way to go.
Ever try to get into a federal building to see your member of Congress?
I don’t know about your state, but here we must pass through a metal detector and a guantlet of U.S. Marshals, who inspect your bags and ask you for your ID.
We should protect our schools in like manner.
It has been reported he went home and got it
We will never get the answer to those questions. Just like all the questions regarding the Trump Assassination attempt.
As a former teacher you well know staff are the last people to be told at all. Let me introduce you to Hippa. Kids have to be in school, it’s the law and another one of the problems of public schools. They must educate everyone. Also, laughable to think anyone would get an escort in a public school. These things do not happen this way. I spent 32 years in high schools and everything you said outside of a resource cop, are not happening.
Read Jon Taylor Gatto’s book “Weapons of Mass Instruction “. Voted national teacher of the year twice. Totally turned against forced schooling.
Gatto claims that blacks in America had a 90% literacy rate prior to compulsory schooling.
This kid, reportedly, had a drug addicted mom who would lock the kids out of the house routinely.
He was always disheveled with unwashed clothes and most likely unwashed hair.
This kid would have quit at age 16 and was not going to learn anything else in a classroom room after about the 6th grade.
Thomas Edison spent three whole months in school his entire life.
Public school particularly if it was in a nice area would have been a daily ridicule ritual for this kid.
TRUST ME this is the new America.
The only way he would have fit in is to be in a school with kids from a similar low income background.
Also see James Lindsey’s work on public schools “The New Discourses”.
We have students who have personal aides. We have a room where kids who are having a meltdown can go so they don’t disrupt the learning. We have a social worker and assistants who drop everything at a moments notice if there is a problem with a student. We have two badass administrators who won’t put up with anyone ruining the schools reputation. Our principal tackled a kid when he brought in a toy gun. My husband is running for school board to keep traditional values and security in our schools here.
I know we aren’t the only school corporation holding on to all that is good and holy. I can take or leave public education, I believe kids should be taught where they learn the best. However, it is where this country is at right now. We can go to war and take it back or throw up our hands in despair. I am in the fight to take it back for all the wonderful kids who still want to learn. I wish there were more patriots willing to get in the fight. Taking back public schools should not be so difficult. There is a massive teacher and substitute shortage, but no one is willing to do the work, even in fantastic schools like mine. If patriots would like to make a difference for the next generation and generations to come, they could fill the vacuum.
Excellent ideas that would have kept this from happening.
Question is, did the FBI want to keep it from happening? Awful thought, but possible these days.
Was the school even informed by the FBI about what this kid was posting online?
Some are saying this kid was absent quite a bit. That could have been a red flag for the school.
I often have my own thoughts about that. I keep an eye out for kids that need someone to care. Perhaps I could be interfering with an FBI plot by doing so? That thought gives me great satisfaction!
Tell the parents IF your child uses a firearm to kill maim anyone… we will charge you both as assessories to the crime.
The parents did nothing to teach, monitor, restrain their child who threatened to commit … murder.
His parents knew he posted these threats. Threats to murder people is a very serious matter.
The FBI, teachers, local law enforcement should have continued monitoring this situation. There were certainly signs b4 he committed the murders.
And the parents should have certainly secured those guns better then they did. 4 people are dead and 9 wounded bc they failed to teach and parent their child.
Did Crooks post threats and have secret rages in the encripted places he went online? Why have we never found out what was in those sites and why he went there.
I looked at the photo of Colt Gray and I wondered how long his problems had been going on. A female classmate who sat next to him said he was always very quiet and was seldom at school. He spoke one word answers she said. Where did that kid go when he wasn’t in school?? Why wasn’t the parent aware about that and doing something about that and why the new gun at Christmas 2023?
.
The People of the Lie is an M.Scott Peck non fiction book written about the evil people do. One family lost their son to suicide because he used the gun he got for his birthday to kill himself. The next Christmas they gave the gun to his brother as a present. Did they want the other son to kill himself too with his brother’s gun?Peck called this evil. That’s what I would call it too.
Oh for God’s sake.
I got a gun when I was 6 years old.
The student parking lot of my highschool was filled with gun racks in the back truck windows and guns during hunting season.
And if a teacher complained they would be looking for a new job.
For suicide, guns have a 90% plus success rate.
Hanging about 50%.
Jumping off a bridge also low success rate but often crippled for life.
Pill overdose can also lead to permanent disability.
Maybe we should arrest the gun for such a high success rate.
History is full of good people doing bad things. Does that make them inherently evil?
How long has it been since you were in school?
How many lesbian teachers did you have?
How many furries were in your school (kid who indentifies as an animal).
Were you sex texting pics of private parts in middle school?
Ever even heard of autism prior to the 1986 act granting total immunity for doctors, hospitals, and pharma companies, from vaccine damage if the vax is on the pediatric vaccine schedule?
See documentary, “1986;The Act”.
RFKJR claims that over 70% of America’s children are chronically ill. That simply means on prescription drugs.
What percentage is psychiatric drugs?
Look at this “reported” shooting. 13 people shot and 9 lived.
Adam Lanza supposedly killed 26 in under 3 minutes. A 100% kill rate.
Any pistol or single shot shotgun could have accomplished this (13 shot) with a little practice loading the single shot.
The worst school shooting was Virginia tech(?). Asian student used a 22 caliber pistol.
Hey, how long would slavery have lasted if each slave was issued an AR-15 with a full magazine right off the ship?
GUNS KEEP PEOPLE FREE!
And the best platform available for self-defense is the AR style rifle or pistol.
RFK, Jr has also said that the 40 most profitable drugs for BigPharma treat conditions that are known side effects of vaccines.
As I understand it after 1986, the vaccines became the most profitable drugs. And that was long before the 14 billion COVID CLOT shots that the governments paid for.
Yes, they do. But only a moron would buy a mentally ill child a gun for a present. He could decide to use it on you.
Depending on the definition over 70% of public school children could be classified as “mentally ill”.
A minor cannot own a gun.
You could buy a Lamborghini for your 10 year old but they can’t legally own it until reaching legal age.
The crime in FL (different by state) would be not keeping the gun secured with a minor living in the home. Required by FL state law. Guns also must be locked up in a car with a minor present.
This is another enigmatic school shooting case.
There are AR-15’s for as little as $500 but the vast majority are closer to $1000 and above.
So this family can’t afford school clothes but the father has money for an AR-15? Okay, maybe!
The alleged shooter at Parkland already quit school, homeless and living at a friend’s house (father a retired army intelligence officer) also enigmatically owned an AR-15 and the retired army intelligence officer allowed him to keep it at his house.
The alleged Uvalde shooter reportedly had two high end Daniel’s Defense law enforcement edition AR-15’S. Over $2,000 each. He worked part time at Burger King, slept in his grandparent’s living room (homeless) and his grandfather a convicted felon not allowed to own a gun.
Some people want to be duped.
Its been a political dream to prosecute parents of these perps as well as gun manufacturer–both entities are the antithesis of the gun grabbers…I am not comfortable with the idea of parents being prosecuted…nor am I comfortable with the idea of 4 dead and many wounded.
IMO gun manufacturers should not be prosecuted except for illegal gun sales or extreme/actual negligence.
All parents should not be prosecuted for gun crimes committed by their minor children… it should be case-by-case. This father, however, deserves to be prosecuted.
We have a problem with the mental condition of many of our children in the US today- drugs, an immoral society, insane woke culture, violent video games, movies, music that promote all manor of violence including, even especially, gun violence.
I watched an RFK Jr interview in which Bobby said that when he was in middle school, there was a rifle club and kids brought their rifles to school. There were never school shootings.
It’s not the guns; it’s the humans. The answer is not to ban guns. It’s to restore basic morality and civil behavior to our society… and that starts in the home and at school too.
I don’t think a MINOR child should own a gun/have access to a gun or be allowed to use it without a parent/adult present. Their brains are simply not fully developed yet.
We have ages for many things – driving, drinking alcohol, smoking for minors. I do think that it’s OK for a minor to learn to use a firearm but only with an adult/parent grandparent present and guiding the … child.
why give CHILDREN guns????
Ever heard of Cambodia?
So called children killing the adults.
Same thing happened a few years back in an African civil war. Teenagers armed to the hilt with military style weapons (50 caliber and above fully automatic) fighting a civil war for “warlords”.
We introduce children to hunting and safe gun practices at an early age for several obvious reasons.
Andrew Jackson was a soldier in the revolutionary war at age 14. Later he won, one of America’s most important battles at New Orleans in the war of 1812. He fought against the best military in the world that had just recently defeated Napoleon.
Jackson won that battle with his Tennessee sharpshooters that were using their own rifles, killing English officers at will with one shot.
Read Brian Kilmead’s book about the battle. It’s very good, easy to read and a delight.
Napoleon said that most men do not want to be FREE. They prefer to be ruled over.
Those who cherish freedom teach their children how to safely handle firearms.
It’s different by state.
But in Florida if minors are living in the home the guns have to be secured.
That can be a lockable gun cabinet or a locking closet. Same for automobiles. Minors in the car gun must be secured (locked).
It is a crime to leave a gun where a minor can access the gun.
That Florida statute is included with every new gun purchase.
It’s also illegal in Florida for a minor to be in possession of a pistol caliber bullet. And it’s a felony.
There are rules that allow minors to hunt and shoot with adult supervision.
It’s probably very similar in Georgia. North Florida and South Georgia are basically the same people.
The vast majority of the hunting I have done was solo between the ages of 12 and 17. And I walked several blocks past an elementary school with my loaded gun (pump shotgun) to get to the woods. Often not getting out of the woods until after sundown.
Driveby shootings were unheard of. Carjacking was unheard of. Home invasions unheard of.
School shootings unheard of.
Correct. If we can lock up the parents for what this kid did. Then half the parents in the inner city should be in jail for the massive violence that their “teens” commit.
But we all KNOW that will never happen…
Truth.
So when you buy your kid a car and he kills someone in a wreck by speeding while drunk can we put you in jail?
These 2 things are not the same.
A car/truck can and has been used as a weapon to … deliberately murder (France).
You must be 16 to drive, and pass the written and driving test to get a license. You need a license to drive a car.
In your analogy, the child did not use the car to deliberately murder people. He was stupid and reckless. It was an accident.
In all of these school shootings the minor child intends to use the gun to murder many people deliberately.
What about the kids in that car in Vegas who deliberately ran down and killed that retiree who was out enjoying a bicycle ride? Reportedly some in the car recorded it, and were laughing hilariously by the way. That story was quickly memory holed.
Nope. It’s exactly the same. You just want to be obtuse.
Noting your extraordinary gleeful attitude at the thought of imprisoning a father, and further destroying a family without your having a shred of direct knowledge of facts, evidence, or a complete investigation,
Comrade..
And why are there no calls for jailing car and alcohol company execs?
This also means that half the parents of inner city “teens” should be in jail for the massive violence they commit.
In this case one of the parents is a child-abusing drug addict. If you want to punish the father, then the mother should also be charged. When you love putting drugs in your body more than you love your children it shouldn’t be surprising when the children have problems.
I read an interview with a neighbor of this family. The mother would lock the doors and be inside high or passed out with her children crying to be let in. Hungry, cold and wet.
Years ago I volunteered as a CASA, an advocate for children caught up in the state system. It was heartbreaking. Sometimes children can be surprisingly resilient but it is the severely broken ones that you pray the hardest for.
Child services was called but didn’t do anything. That isn’t unusual for an over-burdened system.
As for our mental health industry, too many people working in that are just as much in need of help as the people they are treating.
Very good comment.
Now combine that info with Colt having to go to school with old unwashed clothes probably oily unkept hair and school becomes a daily ridicule ritual.
Much more harm done to this kid by being in school than not.
He was never going to be the prom king. Never ever going to the prom.
Probably didn’t have one single friend. Surrounded by people that rejected him and believing that something was wrong with him because he didn’t fit in with this institutionalized expected goal of attending public school.
In most of America’s 3300 counties the school system is the number one employer.
We’re paying crazy property taxes to destroy our own children in a project that has long outlived it’s usefulness.
I read that his dad BOUGHT him the gun AFTER the threats. I haven’t found verification of that, however.
Maybe put the family on notice that authorities had notified the family of the concern, and the family stated that child had no access to firearms. The implied threat of future criminal prosecution might have had them keep the weapons secured.
Also, if they had investigated the kid like a Jan 6 tourist, they probably would have had plenty of evidence.
One thing is sure…we don’t know all the details.
I have mixed feeling on the father’s arrest…esp since the kid is being charged as an adult. And we don’t know all the details. And I am not a lawyer.
What we do know is there are 4 grieving families and a grieving community.
But the standard of “reasonable” would hold? Would a reasonable parent have had guns in their home after the first incident?
Dear God, please heal our people.
Red flag laws don’t work. A friend of mine was suffering numerous health problems one of which was constant chronic pain.
His “Dr.s” had him on all sorts of medications, the current regimen he was on had given him severe depression and suicidal ideation.
He and his brother, with whom he lived, were avid gun owners. He went to a local fire station in NW Central Florida, and explained his situation to those on duty.
Being a Veteran, the fireman took pity on my buddy and brought him to the regional mental health center and dropped him off.
The “mental health center” kept my buddy 3 days for observation and cut him loose. No change in meds, no LE was contacted about securing my buddies weapons as I understand Red Flag laws to work, nothing.
2 days after he was released, my buddies brother came home for lunch and found my friend had shot himself in the face.
The brother had thought he locked all the guns up. He was wrong.
This happened 2 months ago.
Very sorry for your loss.
That’s terrible.
The severe side effects of most of those medications are too often downplayed or simply ignored by the doctors writing the scripts.
I know, the correct answer is difficult. I think we need more information. How many guns does the father have? How often does he buy them? Maybe there should be a question on the background check paperwork for whom the gun will be and maybe that’s overly intrusive.
There should be mechanisms to keep guns out of the hands of convicted criminals and adjudicated mentally incompetent people, but I have stories that shed doubt on court appointed conservators.
https://www.ocregister.com/2018/12/07/retired-orange-county-judge-betty-lou-lamoreaux-dies-but-probate-fight-continues-for-her-estate/
I apologize for the block, if you read fast…
The supreme court already ruled that you cannot buy a gun for someone else.
This was a case where a son got a law enforcement discount so he bought a gun for his father in the son’s name.
The form is a 4473.
So that’s a non issue. It’s already illegal.
This father in Georgia did not violate the federal law because the gun could not be transferred to the kid until he is of legal age.
So the 14 year old did not “own” the gun. Ownership remained with the father.
The transfer is hypothetical because it’s currently legal to give or sell a used gun without filling out a 4473. But not to a minor or a known prohibited owner.
If you know the buyer cannot legally own a gun and you provide it gift or sell it that’s a violation of federal law.
In the unusual situation with the cop buying a gun for his father in his name. Supreme Court Justice Elana Kagan wrote that “the state has an interest in knowing who is buying a gun”.
That statement is odd because there’s a federal law prohibiting the federal government from maintaining a national gun owner database.
Apparently Elana Kagan didn’t know or didn’t care.
It doesn’t matter “how many guns” 1-10- a million. You can only shoot 2 at a time and only one accurately.
What’s more dangerous 100 guns and one bullet or one gun with 100 bullets?
This case in Georgia stinks to high heaven.
It’s a gun grabbers dream case.
What law is already written and ready to be quickly passed?
Look into the Smith Mundt Modernization Act of 2012.
In the 1940’s a law was passed to prevent wartime propaganda against Americans. In 2012 this law was modified. Several months later we get “SANDYHOOKED”.
Why are they so desperate to get the AR-15 style guns? Hands down the best platform for self-defense when outnumbered.
Statistically rifles are a tiny percentage of gun deaths in America.
And cars are just about as deadly. The same arguments can be made against private ownership of automobiles.
Not only was the gun not owned by the 14 year old kid but in FL it would have to be stored in a locked case if minors live in the residence.
It’s like buying a classic mustang for your 10 year old. They can’t take ownership officially until of legal age.
“They didn’t have enough evidence to charge the kid with anything”
What evidence did they have to charge the J6 Praying Grandma with? She is now restricted with an ankle monitor and can’t use the Internet. What about her First and Second Amendment rights?
They can’t have it both ways.
They had plenty of evidence – they found his personal email address attached to the discord that he was saying he was gonna shoot up a school on.
I guess yall don’t realize how easy it is to find out if he really logged on and not someone else. It’s all records held by google and your isp and also his computer bc it’s still all on there even if you delete it.
They had that kid guilty of serious juvy time.
An “anonymous” call was made to the school just prior to the alleged shooting.
Is that even possible without military grade hardware?
When Trump first got elected threatening calls were being made to Jewish community centers around America and as it turns out around the world.
25 million dollars was quickly allocated by the federal government for extra security.
The caller was arrested by the FBI in Israel. A young Israeli using military grade hardware to hide his location. His father was IDF and trained to use the equipment.
So it’s highly unlikely that anybody can anonymously call a school.
Sounds like they are unnecessary.
If the FBI’s hands are legally tied to help us except when it’s something that’s anti-Trump or anti- MAGA or finding a grandmother who went to DC on J6, they are beyond their sell-by date.
You also prove why reliance on the police for protection is misplaced. The police’s hands are tied until after the fact.
abolish the alphabets !
Create fear.
Build a coalition of activists to abolish the 2nd Amendment.
You can guess what follows, history has many examples.
But CTH readers have seen this movie before.
Similar to the open border, how can one not but conclude it is utterly wicked that Government and its agencies are so willing to put citizen’s lives and livelihoods at risk simply for personal and political gain? The exploitative wickedness is so commonplace that we are prone to become numb to it all, which itself should alarm us.
Good comment. After so much evil you don’t even think about it anymore, let alone get riled up about it.
The powers-that-be will escalate school shootings so their ENEmedia hounds can beat the drum for gun control. All that lies between American citizens and a tyrannical gubmint is the US Constitution/ 2a.
Totalitarians cannot abide our God-given rights codified under the US Constitution.
This is why they constantly downplay our Constitutional Republic by referring to us as a democracy.
There would have been a time at the initial threat problem where he would have gone to the “boys ranch” “sheriff ranch”. An early intervention.
And that would have been best for everyone, including the kid.
Doesn’t the scope of FBI’s treachery extend into creating crimes to justify their bloated budgets and hide their ineptness?
This idiot kid and the Crook kid in Butler could have the same IC online handler pushing the provocation!!!
He was eight yrs old when the Parkland shootings took place, it’s doubtful he was obsessed with it. NY Times is full of crap as usual. They mentioned Lanza the alleged Sandy Hook shooter, and a Russian website he frequented, they like throwing spaghetti against the wall don’t they?
This boy came from a very abusive troubled home, his mother is a drug addict, she may have given him meth that morning, who knows.
FBI liars probably set this kid up, he was on their radar. They could have prevented it, they are not to be believed anymore about anything, especially mass shootings.
Russia? Ninja please!
Sundance outlines within the insert to his story here, the tremendous amount of FBI resources used to pound Trump during his administration. Which all turned out to be bogus and a tremendous taxpayer waste. So what else could they have done in the Georgia shooter’s case? I think, given his prior social media statements, they could have dedicated 1/10,000th of the amount of resources used against Trump, and maintained a close observation of this boy, his movements and the red flags that were likely going off like fireworks that we’ll begin hearing over the next 2 weeks. The dangerous precedents were being set when the FBI illegally persecuted a sitting President. Investigating this boy more better over the last two years would have saved the lives of a bunch of folks. If an undue encroachment of federal authority occurred while doing so, then we can just toss that on the big pile of encroachment that happened in 2015 to 2024 that’s all been swept under the rug.
GBI just announced shooters father arrested for manslaughter, murder and child cruelty…💥💥💥
4 families in pain. Lord embrace them all.
Don’t forget the 9 wounded. .556 is gonna do damage, likely permanent
Two words…
Soft…
Target…
They didn’t do anything about this kid for year because the FB-Lie needed that time to give him more target practice and shooting instruction.
Hate to have to say this, but the FBI finds these disturbed individuals, and places them in a situation that feeds their problems. (Sandman in Ft. Lauderdale, Crooks at Butler PA, and so on, including this kid in GA). Goal: The Dems need mass shootings so they can take guns away. Means: The FBI provides that by manipulating disturbed people into that situation.
In most all of these cases, the FBI knew the individual for significant time before they killed.
In most all of these cases, the FBI did nothing to prevent the individuals from killing.
If I were a soulless scallywag feeb, I’d listen to the chats between players of Call Of Duty games to find workable subjects to handle..
What a surprise!
The FIB team FAILED again.
Our government has become so corrupt and evil.
Government always fails the American people. It’s their own cult and they protect it for themselves.
But, just announced…..authorities have arrested the shooter’s father…..

Dad of alleged Ga. school shooter Colt Gray arrested, hit with murder and manslaughter charges:
…Colin Gray, 54, was charged with four counts of manslaughter, two counts of second-degree murder and eight counts of cruelty to children, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said the day after his 14-year-old son Colt Gray was charged with murder…

…The charges come after it was revealed that Colin Gray purchased the AR-15-style rifle Colt allegedly used in the massacre as a Christmas gift last December.
Colt received the deadly present from his father just seven months after authorities visited the pair when the FBI received tips about online school shooting threats, according to the federal agency…

YAHOO NEWS
Father of Georgia shooting suspect told investigators he bought weapon for son as holiday gift after FBI probe
The father of the suspect in a school shooting in Georgia that killed four people on Wednesday reportedly bought his son a high-powered rifle late last year, a purchase which came months after police investigated the teen for potentially making online threats about shooting up a school.
[…]he bought the 14-year-old the AR 15-style rifle (…)as a Christmas present in December 2023
https://www.yahoo.com/news/father-georgia-shooting-suspect-told-231633230.html
If the father did that, he deserves to rot in jail for the rest of his life and if the mother of that monster knew, she should go to rot in jail also. Four families lost loved ones, numerous others are injured and all those children in that school will never be the same all because some idiot father bought his mentally deranged monster a gun.
The kid did not and could not own the gun until legal age 18-21 different in different states.
This is very common. Got my first gun at age 6.
Got a Marlin 30-30 age 14.
That’s a bigger bullet than an AR typically shoots.
Glen Beck first gun from grandfather age 12.
The kid cannot “own” the gun until legal age.
And in FL all guns have to be secured in a locked device if minors live in the home. A trigger lock comes with every new gun.
This case is very suspicious to me. Georgia is a huge state for hunting.
And most kids of hunters would get a gun at an early age. But not really “own” the gun until legal age reached
Government retaliation for TPTB planning to charge the kid as an adult? Just a side thought….
Maybe now they really want the focus on the dad and not the kid:
https://t.me/The_Library_II/122853
Yup.
How’s that strawberry blond hair color in those long tresses? Do you think he went to the beauty salon, or was it just him and the Revlon over the sink?
Monitoring? Or, mentoring? Caught again?
The FBI is really the most useless organization on earth. Is there a shooter that they didn’t know before the shooting? Of course, they are making believe they didn’t know the President Trump shooter. Does the fact that he trained with Homeland Security at the rifle range count?
Maybe it’s time to bring back the “Scared Straight” program for these teens and adolescents that engage in posting online threats, but LEO don’t have enough to charge them. Send them to prison for a few days to melt these snowflakes with some real hard Mother F’s…
Boot camp, real boot camp..
I am only half way thru the comments and I notice a lot of reference to medications and big pharma…But no mention of insurance companies not paying for appropriate care…by way of abbreviating it and cutting it short.
Big Pharma would not get away with this, without the blessings of the vast medical industrial complex that we live under.
Today’s behavior health is letting down their patients…treatment is weak and from what I have seen in my patients in the hospital, totally, completely, undeniably….INEFFECTIVE….why you ask?
Because it costs lots of money over a long period of time…and recidivism rates amongst their patients is very high….and it takes longer to re establish lost ground after going off the wagon and then getting back on….a good comparison is the substance abuser.
Don’t get me going on algorithms…often followed now, in medicine, based on “best practices” at the behest of insurance companies.
Most people cannot afford the true and appropriate care needed because, like a good lawyer, it has become unaffordable to those in need. Which would be most average people.
Parents have a catch 22….the gubmint allows kids to make decisions about abortion and gender…but then holds same parents accountable for other stuff. Now with abortion…in the event of life threatening complications after a kid gets an abortion that their parents are unaware of…does gubmint step to the plate and pay the bill for ICU and surgical repairs and blood transfusions?
Didn’t think so…
Stange how these shootings appear in swing states before election . Provoke new demands for gun grabbing.
The mass school shooting happens a month or so before every election!!!
Every. Single. Time!
An interesting post on X:
Haul that SOB in for questioning, yesterday!
Or was the shooting carefully selected for a jurisdiction like Uvalde where they can count on local law enforcement not to look too closely – like at whether the kid was groomed and who exactly was doing the grooming.
– If Tony had his GPS coordinates and FBI retirement status , why no name and picture??? Tony knows who this guy is. Why not make it public?
I agree. Why not make it public? For whatever reason, he says he is waiting until 2025 to out him. No idea why other than waiting on Trump for cover.
That stance defies logic.
And if he has knowledge of a crime and withholds evidence upon being questioned, he can go to jail for contempt of court or obstruction of justice.
Sauce or he’s grifting with no cattle to go with that cowboy hat.
Tony Seruga: “We have now identified 201 devices and growing, that were at the Kamala Harris Milwaukee, Wisconsin rally yesterday that have now arrived in Washington, DC., and are clashing with police, we have also identified the man with the metal ‘baton’ threatening police, he was a regular in Seattle antifa. For a handful of these dipshidiots, a parent is a member of Congress! But most, if not all, come from wealthy elites. Hollywood, Silicon Valley, Wall Street, Political families. https://x.com/TonySeruga/status/1816213481722621967
Went to school with Ray Epps, no doubt.
This is a tragedy. There are no other words to describe it. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear that his parents or the FBI took the warning signs seriously enough.
So far it seems that the police response to the tragedy was competent, unlike the Uvalde police.
The bottom line is that liberty comes with some risk and unfortunately we need to accept some negative consequences in order to be able to protect ourselves from criminals and a tyrannical government and learn from history to prevent these negative consequences as much as possible.
We still don’t know the kid’s medical history. How much is big pharma involved in these horrific incidences? I am pretty sure that at the very least the Columbine shooters, the Sandy Hook shooter, the Nashville shooter and the Florida shooter had taken psychiatric meds.
Wait for it . . . (Let’s see whether this will stay up)
Focus on Father.

There we go.
Tony x Two apparently has the ID of the groomer. What’s the background of the dad?
Any Freemasons in the picture(s)?

I think it is wonderful to have an agency like the FBI to inform us about what they knew would happen after it happened.
Very, very sad situation all the way around.
Fingers are pointing everywhere.
However, legally charging parents of teens, who turn towards violence during their crisis of death mode mindlessness, is not the answer to solving our societal, familial, educational and purposeful omission of Christian values in our culture.
This is very dangerous, not only for those involved, but for our culture and society at large.
Since Michigan, this seems to be the government’s answer to THEIR direct involvement in creating this Godless society of the 21st century.
The government creates the problem, exacerbates the problem and then creates the boogey-man to take the blame for the problem that the government created .
Just another reason not to procreate.
Not to mention the obvious, the communists in our society, use this tactic to argue the need for restricting our 2nd Amendment right.
There are none so blind………..
FBI is busy!
“Knock it off! That’s OUR job!”
During this past Labor Day weekend in Chicago, 5 people were killed and 26 wounded by shootings.
More nonsense from the FBLIE!
FBI allowed the Vegas Shooter crime scenes, both home and hotel to be compromised.
FBI allowed the desert camp where terrorists were conditioning children to be compromised.
FBI never solved the 9/11/2011 murder of 3 Jewish students who were beheaded in Waltham, MA.
FBI killed – in the middle of the night in Florida – the only witness that could tie the Boston Marathon bombers and possibly to the deaths of the 3 Jewish students.
“In May 2013, Ibragim Todashev, a 27-year-old Chechen native and former mixed martial arts fighter who knew Tamerlan Tsarnaev, was shot and killed in Orlando, Florida, by law enforcement officers who had been interviewing him about the Waltham murders as well as the Boston Marathon bombings. The FBI has alleged that just before he was killed, Todashev made statements implicating both himself and Tamerlan Tsarnaev in the Waltham murders – saying that the initial crime was a drug robbery, and the murders were committed to prevent being identified by the victims.[5]”

There may be more 9/11 criminal events by now.
And another 9/11 is approaching soon… have they planned another heinous hate-fueled inhumane event?
shocking.
me: not shocked
even stevie wonder can see a pattern here.
what is actually shocking to me is that the men and women of this agency seem incapable, paralyzed even to break ranks and speak out ..with details…
I know the silo issues, but there ARE PEOPLE in the direct position to take a stand.
yet they do not.
think about that.
I think we call that a conspiracy.
a secret police spy state
God Bless America
God Bless America
FKGBI, just doin’ our job, sir.
How about putting metal detectors in schools? I can’t even go to a concert without going through a metal defector. Can’t get on a plane without doing the same. Why not at schools where kids can obviously hide weapons in backpacks? Resource officers can’t be everywhere at all times.
I’m confused. Why is the FEDERAL Bureau of Investigation involved? Murder is a state crime. The crime took place in GA and was committed by a GA citizen. Why isn’t the GEORGIA Bureau of Investigation out front? I hope someone can enlighten me.
Is this the first time the parent and the shooter are still alive after a school shooting and somebody can ask the kid who told him to do this ?
Boy, am I in trouble: I named my first born Zouave. (she hates it)
Was this kid on SSRIs?
The school shooters all seem to be on SSRIs.
Is this more deaths brought to you by Pfizer (or whichever pharma company made the SSRI)?
100% of mass shooters are known to local, FBI, and CIA operatives; heck they hunt for the vulnerable to groom.
This time they had sights on the parents AND the child shooter; election time brings out the worst of IC plans.
Getting rid of God and guns will lead to communism AND they know it. All plans rely on it……….children are the targets; dehumanize and conquer.
God Help US
My Opine;
The powers that be are setting these up to push Red Flag laws, which could infringe on everyones 2nd Amendment Right.
Tin Foil Hat proudly adorned!
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
This way all it will take is “See or Hear Something, Say or Report Something”
Sundance convinced me,long ago, how corrupt and perverted the FBI has become. But I have yet to see a process for bringing this agency under control. It will take much more than replacing the director with a hard man committed to change.
The kid definitely stepped in what?
He will never…or maybe for a very long time…
Get his first car.
Get his first job.
Get lucky with a gitl.
Rent his first apartment.
Buy his first house.
Become a father.
Be a husband.
Be a grandfather.
Experience what is left of freedom in a land once a republic….
What a DA….from the photos the gray painted cinder blocks of jail are starting to dawn on him that his future is very very bleak indeed…very bleak.
so why did they only arrest the father. put the fbi scum in jail. they are the real problem.
