IRAN – Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh and one of his bodyguards were killed after his residence was targeted in Tehran, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed in a statement.
A statement by the IRGC’s Public Relations Department said the attack was carried out early Wednesday, adding that a probe is underway to find the cause of the incident.
The statement offered condolences to the people of Palestine, the Muslim world, and the Resistance Front’s fighters over the Hamas leader’s death.
A statement by Hamas says an “Israeli” raid killed the Palestinian group’s leader Ismail Haniyeh in his residence in Tehran.
Earlier on Tuesday, Haniyeh had attended the inauguration of Iran’s new president and met Iran’s Supreme Leader. SOURCE

In a statement, the Islamist faction mourned the death of Haniyeh, who it said was killed in “a treacherous Zionist raid on his residence in Tehran”. SOURCE
Fuad Shukr, the target of the attack in Beirut, was listed as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist by the US, and served as a senior advisor on military affairs to Hasan Nasrallah, secretary-general of Hezbollah. He also served in Hezbollah’s highest military body, the Jihad Council.
Israeli officials say he was responsible for a rocket attack on the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights on Saturday which killed 12 people, mostly children. Hezbollah has denied any involvement in that attack.
Shukr was also involved in the 23 October 1983 bombing of the U.S. Marine Corps Barracks in Beirut which killed 241 U.S. military personnel and wounded 128 others.[20] In 2017, the US Treasury offered $5 million for information on Shukr.[19][21]
A few years back Al-Nusra Front aka Al-Qaeda terrorists were operating in the Golan Heights and Israel never hit them, in fact they shielded them from Syrian/Hezbollah, who were trying to exterminate them. I have never seen any evidence of Israel hitting ISIS & Al-Nusra terrorists, just the ones fighting them. Strange huh especially since we were told Al-Qaeda which Al-Nusra Front is a subsidiary of, did 9/11.

Hi Sundance, another successful strike conducted by Israel against Hamas. As such, another instance that Israel has security but not peace. Israel’s current situation seems to be that of a lone crusader outpost; however, instead of manned by Catholics (Protestants had nothing to do with the Crusades since they broke from the Faith in the 16th Century), Jews are the ones on the proverbial ramparts.
However, even with never ending military and fiscal support that Israel receives due to AIPAC, can Israel ever achieve peace? I recall all the strongholds established by the Crusades and the Islamist never relented in driving out the Catholics. It must be remembered that the lands from Constantinople to Morocco were Catholic until forced conversions starting in the 7th Century by Mohammed, and then his successors.
As a modern crusader outpost, do you ever envision Israel have a lasting peace with it’s Muslim neighbors?

When the topic of Israel comes up the paid operatives come on and reply to every piece of negative content expressed about the nation state of Israel. The current government of Israel is not ordained by God and has the same institutional rot of any other government. Netanyahu is very much disliked within his own borders and has done much to build up the very force he is condemning now.
I spent too much of my life in the Middle East. I think many are sick of this portion of the world. If Israel wants a fight let them figure it out without the expectation of our free aid. They can certainly afford it on their own.
My son and daughters will not fight a war to defend their reckless behavior. You war hawks should pray for peace before it is too late.
