I’m not sure exactly what the motive is behind this, nor do I fully understand how it ties into the FISA-702 renewal effort by the insufferable HPSCI Chairman Mike Turner, but everything negative being said about Michael Shellenberger is accurate.
Trust me, if there’s one person on this planet right now without the time to deal with this nonsense, it’s me. However, from what I can ascertain, Shellenberger is reciting old information dug up by independent researchers on the Spygate operation as it pertained to the CIA, FBI and larger IC.
Shellenberger is then claiming “sources” have confirmed the CIA ran intel operations against the Trump campaign in 2016 using foreign assets and foreign intelligence partners. This is old, old, very old, information being repackaged as if it was new information and sold to an audience for the price of $9.99 subscription. In my opinion, it’s a complete con.
I have no idea who this Shellenberger idiot is, nor do I really care. You cannot plagiarize me because I give all the CTH research and analytical writing away free – openly telling people to take it and make it their own, just don’t monetize it.
It appears Michael Shellenberger is a man of low moral character who is taking the independent research work of others, repackaging it and selling it as his own work product.
This activity is likely because Shellenberger, a leftist, didn’t believe it when the Spygate researchers were tearing apart the preferred narrative and delivering atomic truth bombs in 2017 and 2018. Suddenly, as the weight of the truth comes forth, there is no denying what was previously proven. Everything Shellenberger is claiming now is a rehash of old information, repackaged and sold to a duped audience for $9.99 each.
Everything he claims is new, isn’t. It’s all previously cited, sourced and disseminated information. It’s pretty low-class to try and dupe people just to make money, but hey… that’s what some people do.
I have two words for this type of operation, and it ain’t Merry Christmas.
Nuf Said.
Moving on…..
Love to all!
The problem is no one listened before so I don’t have a problem with it being elevated again and hope the crimes exposed get traction. It’s definitely being discussed a lot and the left is simply ignoring it. The right and independents are very interested.
Credit should be given where due though. We need more people on our side so why complain unless they’re telling lies.
Elon gave Shellenberger access to the Twitter files and he’s done good work exposing censorship
I agree with you that proper credit should have been acknowledged with no money made on other peoples work,
but getting additional exposure is a good thing. We are talking about it again and new people are as well including on X. Maybe the media will be forced to cover this as well. We can only hope.
Shame you felt the need to waste your (especially now) valuable time to address it, but thanks. I started hearing about this stuff and immediately thought “this isn’t new… I heard one of the first interviews George P. gave when he got back after the Feds couldn’t find the expected $10K on his person. Please, ferrets; just ’cause you can meme you still need to sift chaff from grain for relevance, and it needs to be timely.
On Feb 13 I posted this under Shellenberger’s “Public” Substack article:
Congratulations Michael, Matt, and Alex. It only took y’all 7 years to acknowledge what many saw in 2017 and 2018 and wrote about, only to be castigated and brushed off as “conspiracy theorists” by the “intelligentsia” in the legacy media and Democrat darling online Commentariat.
My apologies for sounding arrogant; it is simply frustrating to see this article in Feb 2024 when I read about all of this in 2017 and forward, in analysis and commentary by Sundance in the The Last Refuge blog, one that was considered to be so dangerous to the fascist Globalists (Deep State) that they de-platformed him just prior to the November election in 2020. But he quickly rebuilt the Blog site within a week or two.
More importantly, he was not the only reporter to correctly analyze the Deep State’s use of Five Eyes to spy on Trump and his campaign associates, and to lie about General Mike Flynn’s phone call with the Russian ambassador in December 2020, and then to get their embedded spy Mike Pence to fire him since General Flynn would have publicly revealed their seditious conspiracy in 2017.”
After which I cancelled my renewal of the subscription.
Whats the score now,…?
Conspiracy theorists 63+,..
Debunkers still -0-.
And as their steady promulgation of false narratives have caused the rarity, and so percieved value of truth to go up, there WILL be those that will Capitalise on it, some for straight monetary gain, others to establish credibility, which they can then exploit.
I guess we can take this as a positive, that this materialis now accepted truth…?
And, perhaps there WILL be some who hadn’t heard it, or hadn’t believed it before, but now will?
Then Shellenberger should give credit. Otherwise he’s no different than CreepyJoe
……….or Claudine Gay.
Does he sell books on Amazon? Leave him a great review lol
Like Tucker, his father is deep state.
Your last sentence sums up my thoughts exactly!
Yes. It’s positive that these three men retold the story for what’s likely a new audience.
But I realized I didn’t need to subscribe to their column since I would probably be ahead of their reporting merely by reading and supporting Sundance and CTH.
GB Bari, thanks for your comments! Question: I don’t recall Sundance ever writing that Pence was “their” (whoever they are…) embedded spy. And if true, who was his handler?
I may be wrong, so if you can provide a link to Sundance writing this, that would be great. I probably missed seeing it.
I thought Sally Yates and Mary McCord were the spies.
I don’t recall Sundance ever using those words. That’s why I did not make that claim. Those words are my own conclusion based on Pence’s collective actions up to and including January 6, 2021. Pence was initially coerced into firing Flynn but he never investigated the lies that Sally Yates & the FBI (via a falsified 302 from their deceitful interview of Flynn on January 24 2021) used to frame Flynn for violating the Logan Act, which Flynn actually did not do.
My links don’t go back to 2017, but SD definitely wrote about Flynn being fired in early 2017, and later on SD circled back to the decision by Pence to fire Flynn in a 2020 article, noting Obama’s “go by the book” orders to Susan Rice and Sally Yates just prior to Trump’s inauguration, which Susan Rice conveniently noted in her “meeting notes.”
See this article by Sundance:
https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2020/05/10/very-interesting-vp-mike-pence-would-welcome-lt-gen-michael-flynn-back-into-the-administration/
Read the article but specifically slide down the page to where you see this heading (in regular font):
“The Interview Takes Place: ”
Also do this: go to the CTH search block (upper right of this page) and enter the words: “Flynn Pence” and click the search icon 🔎.
Check out the articles that come up in the results – there are many.
I remember reading it all at The Markets Work (JCarlson) and Epoch Times, pretty much in real-time in 2017/18. I continue to be struck by the whitewash which as the Admiral Rogers testimony to Congress about the illegal 702b database spying… and how this shoulda, coulda, woulda opened up the entire scandal for all to see… if Congress had any desire, intention, spine to do so.
Yes. Sundance periodically referred to and cited Carlsons reports in SD’s articles here in CTH. I found Sundance’s additional insight helpful and valuable so I stayed with this site.
Great choice!
Bongino had a lot of it too in real time – though I wouldn’t be surprised if he got practically everything from sundance as well, again with no attribution – or if there was I don’t remember.
But I’m sort of thinking that now Bongino might be the perfect person to sue Shellenberger for plagiarism – somewhen down the line.
My preferred somewhen would be, of course, after the chance that such a lawsuit would muddy the current revelation of the years-old truth.
Don’t want to give the blob anything to use against us!
Bongino put a lot of good information in his book, Follow The Money (pub. 2020)
The very first chapter in that tome – “Insane in Ukraine” – turns out to be remarkably prescient and well-researched as well as supported by the facts that have found their way into the sunlight.
I too got a lot of the information from Epoch Times, still a subscriber there as well. What was done to Gen Flynn was a crime. Still makes me sick to think of it. And what they are still trying to do to President Trump!
they laughed at my conspiracy theories now they teach them as a history lesson
I have all of the original reporting printed & in binders dating back to 2018. I still print many newsworthy articles & court docs to add to my binders.
I knew when I started reading MS’s “Breaking News” that it wasnt anything I already have.
I have no respect for schills like him.
The critical “news” about the twitter files began in late 2022, when Musk gave the files/documents to journalists Matt Taibbi, Bari Weiss, Lee Fang, and authors Michael Shellenberger, David Zweig and Alex Berenson shortly after he acquired Twitter on October 27, 2022.
Shellenberger may or may not be a shill. I honestly do not yet know for certain either possibility.
I originally subscribed to Shellenberger because he was publishing news that I had not read elsewhere, including here in CTH. But I began seeing information that was simply a restating of info that Sundance had covered, although Shellenberger reported it from his own perspective and sometimes with a nuance that I had not previously read. He never once cited CTH (maybe he never read CTH?) and this last article classified as “Breaking” just seemed a bit too familiar for me. I readily admit that everyone who hasn’t visited CTH may find his articles to be “new” information or “new perspectives.” That’s good – it adds awareness to previously unaware people.
Long time old school democrat friend of 50 years remarked she doesn’t know what to believe anymore.
I suppose my irritated reaction to Taibbi was not well considered in light of my friend’s mini-epiphany. The normies need to hear what we already know.
That was an interesting comment. There are many levels of awareness, and if we’re in the vanguard we look down on the slower lanes. But the repetition can do good, because the nation is in flux and new people are waking up all the time. Simply put, none of us has the complete picture of what’s going on, and we can only do what we can within our sphere, and pray that the Lord continues to bless our efforts and the efforts of everyone pulling in the right direction.
From the bottom of my heart I thank you Sundance, and all the little branch sitters, for all you do to save humanity.
This is not just for Big Brother USA, all of us foreigners are depending on your valiant efforts.
Do not be justifiably narked by these copycats, the more publicity WE get the better. As Paul B says let the people know.
….. and the horse you rode in on.
“Everything he claims is new, isn’t. It’s all previously cited, sourced and disseminated information. It’s pretty low-class to try and dupe people just to make money, but hey… that’s what some people do.”
Thanks for addressing this Sundance. Many on X were pointing out it was old news, with several citing you, and he got quite pissy with everyone quickly.
I observed quite a number attempting to assert that until Shellenberger had provided some uncited evidence that the Derps themselves acknowledged the crimes signified that everything that went before was literally mere conspiracy theory.
So our Sage and Seer’s insight was insignificant, but scriptural rail splitters and charlatans were the new gold standard. 🙄
Feels vaguely like an Op to me.
“Feels vaguely like an Op to me.”
Now that you give your insight Maquis…it makes sense. Similar to the hang-out from the Twitter files.
Get stuff out there that is obvious, but get stuff out there with our spin on it and hide the more damning details.
When President Trump is back in the Oval office, will they try claim it’s all old news, and no need to bring it up again?
Could be.
Much of what we are seeing in the PsychoSphere these days is indeed focused on shaping the battlefield for a second Trump Administration.
One reason this may be happening is that whoever is running Shellenberger in the field is doing Bayesian and other analysis of reactions to the messages. He’s running old content for new uses. (Remember, where media are concerned, YOU are the product.)
Back when the messages were new, originating with the likes of SD and others, these glowspooks weren’t listening–they were running different operations, like Muh Russian Collusion/Hacking, and building their basic Big Brother machine for deplatforming anyone who dissented from the views they defined as allowable.
So now they are running behind and have to ramp up testing for those specific topics/reactions from before. Capturing this content now, and running it through their AI models for probability analyses, may be what’s going on.
The irony is that they weren’t listening then, they aren’t listening now, but they are hoping to control DJT’s second term/presidency through the power of Quanty Quantness. Their math is metaphysics–just like the “cosmologists” and “particle physicists” and “Federal Reserve Banks.” They think if they just analyze it enough, and squish it into the right probability matrices, they can find the Magic Math Key to defeating Orange Man and thwarting challenges to their globalist schemes. Maybe they can–we do battle with powers and principalities, after all, and they serve those very demons.
Honestly, I don’t care. No offense to SD, this beautiful Tree, or all the branches and leaves. The more of “what we all knew” 7 years ago comes into the collective consciousness the more hope I have. Knowing all this and not being able to fully relate it to others has been down right depressing. Covid pushed it all into an alternate universe. Our time and energy needs to be laser focused, or we don’t survive this. The story is now relatable to the masses.
I think Dan B has it right.
Absolutely right. Getting the information out is more important than who gets credit, and when.
Yes, he is swiping information that hundreds knew several years ago. He–for whatever reason–is now disseminating this information to hundreds of thousands.
Do try to focus on the big picture, and not just the one that stops at the end of one’s nose. #self-absorbed
Agree that it is important that the information get out into the general population; what is offensive (to me) is charging people $9.99 to obtain information freely given by people who worked exceedingly hard, and some in danger, to obtain this information.
That he charges for this information, pretending it is newly created by him, is nothing but greed as opposed to the work that many have done under the banner that truth has no agenda. Mr. Shellenberger’s agenda is simply for obtaining $$$.
His hiding behind the banner of truth is no different that RINO’s hiding under the banner of MAGA. Same agenda.
He gave it away for free on Jesse Waters’ show. last week.
>what is offensive (to me) is charging people $9.99 to obtain information freely given by people who worked exceedingly hard, and some in danger, to obtain this information.
I think of this as the Bernie Sanders Two Bucks Principle. Human factors research has shown again and again that people will value anything more if they have to pay something for it, even a dollar or two. In other words, people are invested in something through the ACT of paying, not the amount.
$10 now under Biden is probably worth what Bernie’s $2 would buy back then…plus if people are subscribing monthly, and can comment with their own opinions somewhere, that gives Shellenberger’s handlers even more information to analyze.
I doubt Shellenberger needs the money per se. Back in the ’90s and ’00s he was raking it in hand over fist, serving a wide range of humungous “philanthropic foundations” with “Public Relations” services (what we less politely called “mindf**k” in the departments of the sort in which I was trained, and rebelled to the root against even the notion of treating people like that).
Here’s a nice little factoid. Do you know the origin of the word “statistics”?
I was taught–as a young quant-in-training–that it came from
statist + ics
Meaning how to count the masses in various ways of interest and benefit to The State and its goals. I have no doubt that Shellenberger is serving some group of quants aiming to analyze, monetarize, and convert to their own power stuff that others dug out before, and gave out for free.
I actually don’t agree with Dan, on the Shillenberger source situation
trust no-one, including Shillenburger
we cant allow Schillenberger to become a new gatekeeper
he WILL f$%k us over
When a clown tries to run to the head of your parade, don’t let him lead it.
This what almost all politicians do.
Figure out which way the wind is blowing and holler FOLLOW ME!
Sundance gets millions of eyes.
He is merely noting the crass nature of this play.
How does Shellenberger’s pay wall square with your “more views than Sundance” assertion?
When a bad actor takes your work and exploits it there’s a good chance the goal is to guide attention in a different direction, possibly even in advance of a known or planned event or “discovery.”
Do try to recognize it ain’t as simplistic as you present it.
Intelligence on what percentage are getting the message?
Danny considers it a badge of honor to have played Praetorian guard to the two worst human beings in the modern era. What kind of corruption could he expose had he the balls to lose it all to save us?
My thought when I read those articles is the information was detailed by Sundance quite awhile ago in better detail.
Shellenberger appears to be some kind of limited hangout being performed by an unknown player whose greater motivation for the disclosures is also yet unknown. Remember, the GOP House investigative committees like him, so he has that going for his presentation.
No idea if he is a rogue Deep Stater, some kind of “white hat”, or simply an honest “reporter.” Emerald Robinson just did two Substacks on where he came from, and his strange past history:
7 Feb 24: Who’s Michael Shellenberger?
https://www.emerald.tv/p/whos-michael-shellenberger
8 Feb 24: The Talented Mr. Shellenberger!
https://www.emerald.tv/p/the-talented-mr-shellenberger
I am glad that for whatever reason he is getting notice because he is exposing information to normies that many of us already know. But I don’t trust him any further than I can throw him.
Would love to know his backers and their motivation…
The ‘problem’ with people like Mr. Shellenberger who gain acceptance by the legislative committees using information others have done the deep dives to find and bring to the public is that he can easily mis-state one important item and make it sound so loud and noticeable that it cannot be ignored – and with that one move of misstatement the entire package of information is instantly labeled false.
That’s one way the deep state works, and people who have no ethics often gladly play that game if it means greater popularity for ‘exposing’ a ‘far-right’ conspiracy.
It’s actions like that which have allowed the courts to dismiss cases as being based on hearsay when they are based on fact but the media has been given the green light to use a simple misstatement as reason to dismiss the entirety of the situation.
Narcissists do this when someone tries to bring to the attention of others damage that is being inflicted on the victim by simply re-arranging words to make the accuser of being the aggressor. Same principle at play.
Interesting take. Thanks, Bessie, for sharing a clear perspective.
Thanks for posting these links. I had read them and have not forgotten.
Matt Taibbi is one of the co-authors. He had the grace to credit CTH, Techno-fog, Lee Smith, Margot Cleveland and many others (most of whom I was blessed to have found during my Twitter days) in a recent Substack. While I am very skeptical about Shellenberger – and have no argument with the POV that “this smells like an op” – I remain less skeptical about Taibbi.
Thanks for this, PB. Looking at Emerald’s content reminded me of something I didn’t mention earlier: his role in promoting the IPCC’s climate change hoax.
Look up “ClimateGate,” 2009 I think it was.
According to Webster’s plagiarism is “to steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one’s own : use (another’s production) without crediting the source”. It is possible to plagiarize another’s ideas or work (i.e. production) without quoting them word for word. What has been plagiarized is the research work done by Sundance and others without acknowledgement.
I’m sorry you aren’t getting credit, Sundance, but there is a second phase to reporting on this. Your reporting isn’t turning into mass awareness of the problems.
I must approve of anyone who, repeating even old info without attribution gets it to a larger audience.
I respect what you have done and you should be credited, but anything that gets this info on more screens is welcome. We are at war.
Putting it behind a pay wall is getting a larger audience?
Listen closely. He is informing other people who don’t know what we know and must, if we are to succeed. Suppose Taibbi and Shellenberger hit one million novel eyes. There’s still 98 million to go before we reach 1/3 of the pop.
Bongino has this right. He tells everyone that they can use his info with or without attribution because he wants the info to reach the largest audience possible.
Bongino is your guiding light?
Watch yer toes.
I already said that Sundance deserves credit. I also said, not that Bongino is my guiding light, merely that he is right about this one small detail..
Disseminated info is power, and as good as conservatives are at researching and logical presentation, we don’t get it out to mass audiences. So any platform that does is welcome. There’s a war on and niceties like credit are the fist victim.
good is not the enemy of perfect
Bongino takes from Sundance as well.
Praying for you.
God keep you.
He’s a liberal reporter who gained notoriety after being interviewed on Tucker a number of times. He was cancelled by the Left for not towing the line on the covid narrative and for writing about crime in san fran feces. That prominence is how he got the gig with Taibbi to examine the Twitter files.
Sad that he’s using your stuff without attribution–I would hope it wasn’t intentional, but then, lefties can always be counted on to act like lefties, so we can never be complacent around them, even when our interests are temporarily aligned.
Well, finally, some obvious truths are coming to light.
Now, I will make just one small comment, (as if it really matters, other than it makes me feel fulfilled):
I also subscribe to Viva Barnes Law and tonight this Shallenberger article matter was a point of discussion. Interesting.
Commenters were also making contributions that Sundance at Conservative Treehouse had written numerous articles outlining same, same in 2017 going forward. Robert Barnes was also outlining his numerous articles during that timeframe, along “with others”.
One important side note Barnes made tonight at the beginning of the discussion is that Shellenberger is a “known Liberal” and is just coming to the dinner table later in the game, because they know they are losing. ….. and now folks we get to witness: Mea Culpea….Sold for $9.99 per month subscription.
I’m with Sundance…Mickey’s all the way around!
Shellenberger is getting:
namesemail addressescredit card infomaybe other info on his “customers”That can be used by bad actors against people who looked into the taboo topics of government spying on the PDJT Campaign.
Methinks this is a rear-guard action to get names of “dis-information consumers” etc. And money-grubbing (obviously)
The Fascist State does not want us to even think or look at any of the evidence of the crimes committed against PDJT and team.
Excellent point. Even a suspicious cat like me almost signed up last week to see the Shellenberger item.
Am I late to the game. or has the Tucker Carlson Mike Benz interview been covered on here and how does it impact on this discussion.
I watched the whole hour plus cast, and will be surprised if both survive very long.
It comes as no surprise to ‘us’ but the detail is mind boggling. Your real President Trump is up agin’ it.
Scroll down older posts – it’s there.
And it’s real – and spectacular.
Yup, absolutely Sundance shared that one here!
https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2024/02/16/mike-benz-gives-background-context-on-internet-censorship-programs/
Salut!
Epoch Times’ Thought leaders has a two-part multihour interview with Mike Benz. Even more depth than Tucker.
Problem is, no-one “saw” the story until Tucker did it. There is a real problem with getting this info out to a mass audience. So, I think we are going to have to accept that someone’s work will have been “overlooked” by reporters with more readership (viewership), in order to get more eyes on these reports.
And if Michelle becomes the candidate in August at their convention, he’s really up agin’ it. Hopefully strategizing for that possibility is already in the works.
Sundance, you are right to be indignant about this but look on the bright side. Leftists only believe what other leftists say so just maybe he is waking up some on the other side. If so we need to relish any small victory.
Just an FYI for everyone…
Michael Shellenberger is well known in the circles of formerly leftists who didn’t chuck their common sense when radicalism and woke-ism erupted. He’s one of many who began to realize something untrue was taking charge. He was an activist in the environmentalist movement, but began to realize the climate messaging wasn’t rooted in objective truth or scientific fact. He saw there was an agenda behind it.
He has at least three books to his credit:
“Break Through: Why We Can’t Leave Saving the Planet to Environmentalists” (2007),
“Apocalypse Never: Why Environmental Alarmism Hurts Us All” (2020), and
“San Fransicko: Why Progressives Ruin Cities” (2021).
He’s identified as a co-founder of the California Peace Coalition–which would be reason enough for none of us to know of him! And I wouldn’t be surprised if he nor any of his friends had ever heard of The Conservative Treehouse.
But I’ve followed his path of awakening on the environmentalist movement, and who knows where it will lead him eventually?
I have heard Shellenberger say (and Wikipedia also quotes it) that, “I’m a liberal in my compassion for the vulnerable. I’m a libertarian in my love of freedom. And I’m a conservative in that I believe you need civilization to protect both of those things.” He grew up in a Mennonite home, so that alone would ground him with a sense of truth and a respect for nature and man’s reciprocal relationship to it. In that sense, he seems to be recovering from his years in college.
I disagree with him on most of his platform when he ran for Governor of California. But I think he is just as committed to retaining our liberty as we are.
We need to find and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with anyone who is ready to defend freedom and personal sovereignty. When we’ve re-won that, we can then resume our debates over our differences, but as FREE PEOPLE! Not everyone at Valley Forge believed the same–they just believed the same about liberty.
I have significantly changed my view on many things over the past 5 years. I’ve been red-pilled and awakened. I don’t want to be judged by my previous rose-coloured, trusting nature, so I try not to judge others. I welcome anyone who has had a similar shift. There may be false actors, but Mr Shellenberger seems to be awakening more people – that is a good thing.
I read and recommend Apocalypse Never – it dismantles “climate change by humans” and advocates for development (infrastructure, dams, waste management, cheap energy) as the solution for “poor nations”. He has rejected his earlier thoughts about sustainability and saving the planet and seems to now understand the evil politics behind the whole environmental push. Reminds of Thomas Sowell, as a young man, when he rethought the concept of minimum wages from good and necessary to counterproductive.
That said, it is frustrating Sundance does not get the credit and financial support he deserves. (OTOH Perhaps that helps him fly under the radar at times?) The CTH knows his worth, his character, his internal compass. I thank him for much of my cold anger and resolve, all while working towards living my best life. Thank you Sundance with much respect and deep gratitude.
C’mon, bro. He was still advertising himself shilling for IPCC (while wearing Muh Mask and calling for lockdowns) in 2020!
Enough nonsense on this topic. Glowies are not “committed to retaining liberty.” Glowies are committed to whoever is paying them to fleece the masses for information that can be turned into fleece shears.
I’d love to shake the hand of the undercover MAGA agent, who sold Mr. Shellenberger top secret CIA secrets for the low price of $5000.
Maybe I could ask him if he gave him the idea, so he could make 100x his investment from the 74 million Trump supporters who have no idea this even exists…
Hard to know who to trust anymore. I thought Schellenberger was one of the “good guys”. Isn’t he friends with Elon?
…and here I thought all of the Big Con was on the “left side of the aisle”!
Pshaw…really, Sundance removed the blinders years ago, and everywhere I look (on any kind of screen) I see marionettes’ strings.
I was telling my son “If you want an income you need to offer people something of value” a few days ago, and apparently Shellenberger thought he could retread an old story to create (imagined) value for prospective subscribers.
And here we go. It’s a Homeric greek chorus of hangers-on.
But Shellenberger is but one of a bunch of ~Conservative! “influencers” who have no fealty to MAGA except to suck money from MAGA like a tick or mite. They’re everywhere.
Shellenberger is regurgitating old news with the claim of his “knowledgeable” sources. I dont care for Jesse Waters as he is low talent compared to Bill O’Reilly. but when I saw Shellenberger on Jesse’s show I blew it off a more fake “Braking Newz” and furthered my beliefs about Waters’s show. More “according to my sources” crap.
If Schellenberger’s con gets the truth out to a wider audience then some good will come of it. Thanks for alerting us to not give him any of our money!
Surprised at your response on Michael Shellenberger… the more words out there about the plan, the merrier.
Over reaction? Or, baiting him? What gives?
I think sundance has been clear that his biggest beef is the $$ charge for the information that sundance makes available – in far deeper and richer form, I suspect – for free.
Giving attribution/credit is nice but it’s like the “exposure” often promised to musicians for playing free. You can’t pay the rent with it.
That’s why IMHO it usually matters little who gets the credit (sundance often says that himself). But when the $$ come into it, especially in this case where the information did not originate with Shellenberger – it gets murky and suspect…
I understand sundance’s annoyance with the $$ aspect, but I also agree that the silver lining may be a larger number of redpilled citizens.
I hope most of those citizens mind their budget, and seek out the free version of whatever the guy is selling behind a paywall – or better yet, come here and search the archives!
This is why we LOVE you Sundance and company! Yep it ain’t Christmas in February! LOL!!!
Sundance, you are a strange person. Michael Shellenberger is working extremely closely with Matt Taibbi on these articles.
Matt Taibbi’s name is on the byline of these articles. Matt Taibbi went on Fox News to discuss the content of these articles with Jesse Waters.
You have referred to Matt Taibbi as a “comrade” and have written that you like him.
In writing this post condemning Michael Shellenberger, you ignore Matt Taibbi participation in publicizing and monetizing this information.
Your selective outrage in this post is suspicious. It reeks of either extreme ignorance or selective outrage.
Matt Taibbi discusses the articles in much more depth on his Rumble channel…
https://rumble.com/v4d6ulh-explaining-russiagate-expos.html
https://rumble.com/v4drbjo-how-to-refute-lesley-stahl-and-60-minutes.html
He states that basically they are reconstructing recollections of people who have seen a 17-19 page report that remains in a vault at Langley.
Repeating from a comment above, Taibbi had the grace to credit CTH among many others who pulled the threads and exposed the insanely octopus-like crime the sociopathic overlords in the government committed. Recent Substack.
Shellenberger’s dad, ‘Shelly’ Shellenberger, was CIA. Go figure.
It’s all exactly precisely what Mike Benz has been trying so hard to get people to understand.
I thought this guy was on the up and up! saw him on TV talking about this and I said to my wife” this isn’t new!” Dan Bongine pointed allmof this out in his book “Spygate” in intricate detail. As did Sundance did also. Why is he rehashing something most of us who pay attention already know?
My guess might be that he’s reaching out with this to people on the left who don’t know jack about any of this. Just a guess.
reaching out – for dollars 😆
Actually if practically all the people who pay to bypass that firewall are leftists – well, it’s fine with me if they get rooked… And it’s even finer with me if they wake up!
My wife will tell me about a posting in some of the other so-called conservative sites that she visits. I listen as a smart man should and then I tell her that the posting is not new. I read that years ago in Sundance’s posts and the author of whatever she is reading has finally had their blinders lifted. Charlatans have always existed to steal what they cannot create on their own.
He be CIA.
come on you guys. when a lefty surrenders you need to allow him a fig leaf. he is one of those who have come to see the light in the last few years. we need truth tellers even if they are 7 yrs late. btw–his book, SanFransicko was pretty interesting. and not left leaning at all.
Thanks to Sundance, those of us who are regulars already knew this years ago. I wonder if this guy is like Mrs. Hannity and “releasing” that which the Deep State want him to put out there?
Save your money and keep following Sundance.
Michael Shellenberger and Matt Taibbi are getting all of the attention and credit for their reporting because they put their names and faces out in the open for public exposure and for interviews on national television and before Congress. If Sundance wants to feel the warmth of the Sun, then Sundance needs to come out of the shadows of anonymity and expose herself.
‘Tain’t at all what Sundance stated.
You out yourself playing the “Sundance is a woman” troll play only reengaged in the past two weeks by several troll-types.
Sundance, I am missing something. What is your beef? It may be the info that Shellenberger wrote is repetitive, but is it not still true? Is it not still valuable? I do not mind being reminded of treasonous offenses. Educate me, please.
Sundance wrote, “You cannot plagiarize me because I give all the CTH research and analytical writing away free – openly telling people to take it and make it their own, just don’t monetize it.”
Sundance also wrote, “It appears Michael Shellenberger is a man of low moral character who is taking the independent research work of others, repackaging it and selling it as his own work product.”
Sundance also wrote, “Everything he (Shellenberger) claims is new, isn’t. It’s all previously cited, sourced and disseminated information.
To summarize, Shellenberger lied, saying it’s new information, his own work product and then charges for it. I may have missed something else but I think those are the main points Sundance had a beef with.
Knew this, but there are any number of willing fools who didn’t. I appreciate as always your take on this. Kept on hearing about this Shekkenberger guy and wondering why he was gaining so much credence when all his information is years old. Now I have the full picture.
🤬 POS
None of it is new. We have known all of it for over 7 years.
When Chalupa and Brent Kimberland, Bill Browder and Magninski are mentioned, then we know real reporting is being conducted.
Well said! I thought everything that they were coming out with were things that I have known about for years because I read here. I think that the only change is that Shellenberger has been able to bring attention of what was known – here – to Congress and the MSM because of his recent good deeds vis a vis outing what occurred on Twitter. I don’t know if you know Matt Taibi, but he should know you! You have been all over this since before the 2020 election.
Just a thought on the complete and utter disconnect regarding the coverage of the Ukraine situation:
I have heard it said from more than one reliable source that William Burns is an educated, well informed, intelligence officer with years of experience. People that have worked with him previously are now completely flummoxed to hear him make ludicrous, bizarre lies, regarding the situation in Ukraine. A man who once epitomized integrity is now completely compromised. How does this happen?
We have seen this before. During the “Russia Gate” hearings we were constantly bombarded with the fact that the highly regarded ex-FBI Director, Robert Mueller, was an incredibly talented investigator assigned to lead the investigation. He was touted to have uncovered mounds of evidence against Donald Trump proving that he was a Russian conspirator. After over two years of being subjected to this diatribe day in and day out Mueller finally appeared before congress to give testimony. Mueller’s lack of evidence, his inability to communicate effectively and his obvious disconnect with reality was on display for the world to see. It was obvious he was being used, by political operatives, to perpetuate a hoax. The man’s testimony and appearance was so embarrassing and so discredited that the entire Russia conspiracy hoax fell apart.
Today the great investigator Robert Mueller is sitting somewhere in a care home with his face in a bowl of chicken noodle soup. No one dares interview this astute investigator. Like Joe Biden he very probably doesn’t know where he is most of the time.
The point here is that I believe this may be the similar fate of William Burns. What we are now witnessing makes no sense otherwise.
IMO, grifters like Shellenberger came out of the woodwork after FEDGOV bailed out the big banks that created the housing bubble. 5 trillion dollars worth of retirement account money and home equity vanished overnight. Everything about the housing bubble was created by obviously fraudulent methods. When it tanked, GWB and the Fed bank bailed out the bankers. None of them went to jail and everybody on earth knew they should have. The housing collapse and the lies of Obama in 2008 made prevarication, theft and fraud a new lifestyle for a lot of people. Shellenberger is one of those, IMO.
EDIT: Don’t forget Bill Clinton. His stupid lies about Monica plus the fact that Clinton is the one who signed off on the use of derivative financial instruments which made the fraudulent housing bubble possible. The funnier the money gets the more insane some people behave.
Check out this X account. It appears he tried to pass himself off as a doctor at the beginning of Covid.

Elections happen every X number of years. Leadership changes yet the same shit continues to happen. Back door channels? And between who? They endure beyond elections.
Obviously leadership isn’t leading which implies backdoors are controlling. What endures post- and pre-elections? What controls media narratives? Conversations happen outside “normal” channels which exclude “normal” channels- how else do we know what is happening with unrecognized governments like ISIS?
Mislabeling information is very advantageous.
I understand Sundance being miffed and disgusted, as am I
Yet it is far more important that this story still have life and ingested by the normies who read Shellenberger and Taibbi.
Taibbi is a solid journalist, I can’t tell you which rock the other gent crawled out from under.
We can not win without the truth being a generational truth.
Shellenberger was a total woke type in the ’90s and ’00s in the Bay Area. He was with a PR group, CommunicationWorks IIRC. Their logo, oddly, was a manhole cover with the name of the firm. He was getting a lot of money from NGO contracts funded by the usual Big Green and other woke foundations (Rockefeller, Rockefeller Brothers, Packard, Wallace Global, Foundation for Deep Ecology, etc.) plus individuals (like David Gelbaum), including the entire passel of ones involved with rebranding “global warming” as “climate change,” and launching projects like the “ecological footprint” and carbon trading schemes. And in the case of Gelbaum, helping destroy the grassroots connections made (by, for instance, Sierra Club’s membership) between open borders and environmental destruction. (Gelbaum bought out Sierra for $200m, and instructed them never to say a word about immigration or population. Gelbaum is jewish and was married to a Mexican.)
The way these lefties get rebranded is so tiresome. Same thing happening with Bret Weinstein, a far left professor from Evergreen State in WA, who taught every semester that whites are racist for wanting to be around other whites. He supported all manner of anti white activism on campus until his little monsters turned on him, at which point he quickly protested that he wasn’t white, he was jewish, and also he was anti white. He and his (leftist anthropologist) wife (on whose coat tails he got his job teaching at Evergreen with just a soft science master’s and a bachelor’s earned in soft science at age 24 or so at UC Santa Cruz after he flunked out of UPenn) left in a huff, him screeching about Muh Antisemitism…and they got some huge payout from the working families of WA state.
Now he’s being pushed as the new voice of conservativism. And they keep calling him an “evolutionary biologist” even though his PhD thesis was laughable and he’s nothing but a s**t-stirrer. Seeing him being preened and pumped on Tucker Carlson is nauseating. But of course Weinstein’s extremely anti white pro jew brother, Eric Weinstein, was one of the quants for bajillionaire Peter Thiel. So with those connections, it doesn’t matter what you know but who you know.
Sister Mrs Watcher, I believe we are entering the phase of God’s Plan which involves a great falling away of humans from their humanity in God and in Christ. Everyone is free to choose whatever style of living they please. The perversity of choices being made these days is evidence of Satan’s final rise in earthly power.
In the genuine Christian way of thinking about life on earth today, the way, the life and the truth of Life Itself are in Christ. Everything else may be called a fact that may or may not relate to the living way of Christ’s truth. Truth is One Thing Only: the Christ-man, Jesus of Nazareth. Facts are multifarious and often misleading.
The lies, terrors and horrors of the evil one, LuciferSatan, are infamous throughout human history. Yet for all his infamous treachery among us, there are not so many who take Satan’s deadly evil seriously. It is a true saying: Satan’s most elegant and successful deception causes unwary people (living souls!) to believe that Satan himself does not exist; that Satan is an invented wraith of human imagination; that evil itself is a product of human invention.
There is a raging war between God and Satan on earth; a battle for the soul of mankind. We’re all in it whether we know it or not. Choosing to try and live by the gobbledeegook of any man-made religion, ethical argument or moral philosophy is a fool’s errand. The only man-made thing that has ever really mattered is the making of a choice. The power of choice is no less supernatural than the supernatural powers of Good and Evil. Learning to apply one’s power of choice correctly in thought, word and deed is the task before us now. It is the work of a lifetime. The Christ of God, Jesus of Nazareth is the way, the truth and the life. Anyone who says different is a liar, an agent of Satan.
What’s funny to me, is, I learned about all of this following Q on 8chan back in 2017.
Interesting how many commenters have simultaneously decided to dog pile on Sundance.
Kinda makes me go hmmmmmm.
