It’s really interesting to listen to Nikki Haley talk about what a great job she did as governor of South Carolina. From what is showing there in the polls, being behind by 30+%, her self-congratulating comments aren’t resonating so well with their voters.

She will not win her home state (India) nor will she win South Carolina.
I only claim her state is India because when she was born, both of her parents were not US citizens. This means she inherited a legal claim of citizenship of India. That her parents may have later became US citizens is irrelevant. She retains her claim until she renounces it.

I love listening to President Trump talk about all these topics because it is like oxygen just hearing anyone other than ourselves speak about these things so plainly and with such casual seriousness. You don’t “freak out” over steady state. Once you accept the true steady state of things, you can much more effectively plan on how to change it.

I figured out as I watched this morning’s primary reports that Haley’s speech was for the sole purpose of providing flattering snippets to be used in news reports. Looking all upbeat and declaring victory.
She reminds me a lot of royal grifter Meghan Markle who often dresses inappropriately for events and stares directly at cameras, and then the photos end up elsewhere later. She wore an excessively expensive and formal laser-cut green strapless leather dress at the Invictus Games closing, and Harry wore a black suit, everyone else was dressed sporty/casual. One of the photos ended up on their 2024 Christmas card. That’s why she wore the dress.

I think the progressives are counting on “Never Trumpers” and independents who would have sat out the election because they are sick of Trump and Biden would vote for “other” after breathing a deep sigh of relief.
