In an effort to keep the Daily Open Thread a little more open topic we are going to start a new daily thread for “Presidential Politics”. Please use this thread to post anything relating to the JoeBama Administration and Presidency.
“This is no small thing, to restore a republic after it has fallen into corruption. I have studied history for years and I cannot recall it ever happening. It may be that our task is impossible. Yet, if we do not try then how will we know it can’t be done? And if we do not try, it most certainly won’t be done. The Founders’ Republic, and the larger war for western civilization, will be lost.”
“But I tell you this: We will not go gently into that bloody collectivist good night. Indeed, we will make with our defiance such a sound as ALL history from that day forward will be forced to note, even if they despise us in the writing of it.”
This thread will refresh daily and appear above the Open Discussion Thread.
Whenever the possibility presents, throw sand into the machinery…

Has anyone here studied up on Paxlovid? It was prescribed for my parents who tested positive for COVID. Thanks in advance for any info or links.
Re-branded name. It’s an anti-viral combo of two previously existing drugs. Acts as a protease inhibitor. Some chance of COVID symptoms returning temporarily (called “rebound”), but overall good numbers on outcomes. It works quickly as long as given within five days of emergent symptoms. Only been available in his form/combo since the end of last year. Not for prevention. You can only get a prescription after symptoms and a positive test.
https://aspr.hhs.gov/COVID-19/Therapeutics/Products/Paxlovid/Pages/default.aspx
Just a word of caution, my sister in law took it and her covid symptoms went away but days later she had a terribly painful rash over one side of abdomen and down her leg, similar to shingles but without blisters it lasted for at least 2 weeks, not sure if it’s gone now.
Every drug has possible side effects and negative reactions, without exception. There’s no way to accurately predict the likelihood of an individual’s reaction to a newly-manufactured medication they’ve never taken before. Doctor and patient must choose which they view as worse – having the disease, or trying to actively treat the symptoms. These things vary widely by individual health history, any other chronic conditions present, age etc.
The shingles-like reaction could be to the medication, it could be an inflammatory response to COVID itself, or a reactivation of the herpes zoster virus (once exposed, it’s in your body for life) due to the stress of being ill.
Thanks! Will tell them to watch for this if they decide to take it. According to them, it was a “free” prescription with Medicare, so they went ahead and picked it up. They then started asking me about it and although I have read up quite a bit on other COVID treatments, I had not studied this one at all.
I just knew the treehouse family would be able to help me out!
A friend of mine just started Paxlovid when she tested positive but discontinued it after two days due to severe dry mouth and throat.
Thanks so much, Invisible Mikey! I always look forward to reading your comments.
Will let them know about this “rebound”. Do they know what causes this?
Justloving life:
Do not listen to anything from Mike. He is a shill for big Pharma and any citations ANYONE provides from the government are suspect.
What Mike failed to tell you is that the drug administered to your relatives is not approved by the FDA, just as the jabs are not approved. These new drugs are only approved for emergency use, as are the jabs, which should have anyone on high alert.
Mike does not provide any information to you on the trials or any information on the medical inserts in these drugs.
If you want to be naive and innocently ask people for a recommendation, and take that as God’s truth based on someone’s casual response and trust the govt, be my guest. I have information on the drug you mention, but can’t find it just yet. I would not allow my family to take anything not approved by the FDA, for starters.
What I did find is the Merck drug that was rapidly authorized, and it is also bad. Info is below. If I can find the info you asked, I will post it.
“Proceed With Caution At Your Own Peril” – Merck’s COVID ‘Super Drug’ Poses Serious Health Risks, Scientists Warn
https://www.zerohedge.com/covid-19/proceed-caution-your-own-peril-mercks-covid-super-drug-poses-serious-health-risks
As it turns out, all the scientists and doctors who insisted that Merck’s “revolutionary” COVID drug molnupiravir is extremely safe weren’t faithfully adhering to “the science” after all. Because according to a report published Thursday by Barron’s, some scientists are worried that the drug – which purportedly cut hospitalizations in half during a study that was cut short – could cause cancer or birth defects.
So much for having a “strong safety profile,” as Dr. Scott Gottlieb claimed in an interview on the day Merck first publicized the research.
Am I confused? Your comment is about molnupiravir. Mike was responding to the OP’s comment about paxlovid. They are not the same drugs. Paxlovid was FDA approved in Dec 2021.
I addressed that. Please re-reread. Both ain’t good.
I re-read and I don’t see you mentioning paxlovid at all. Paxlovid is a Pfizer drug, not Merck. And Paxlovid was approved by the FDA.

Here’s some quotes from past messages from that same forum handle:
April 1, 2021: same handle posted (regarding the “jab” providing immunity): “I took the shots. I have the antibodies. That DOES prevent BOTH infection AND spread. In about two weeks I will have full immunity, created in reaction to the vaccines alone, since I never had the disease.”

Neither of those comments (and other similar ones from same handle during the same timeframe) have aged well…
Nicely done, iswhatitis.
Thank you.
William, I can assure you that I am not naive and take nothing as God’s truth based on casual responses. I was asking for information and revived a great deal of that to sift through.
With all things COVID, I am generally skeptical. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. My gut instinct was to encourage them to not take the drug, but I wanted to become more informed about it.
Check out McCullough podcast. I think the iodine nasal rise did wonders for me. Same with allergies. He said it is ok.
https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-mccullough-report/id1562849542
My husband and I have done the nasal rinse when we have had close contacts in large groups also. Neither of us have had COVID to our knowledge. We are very proactive though and my parents are not, so they have none on hand.
Isn’t this another new drug from BigPharma? What do BigPharma’s test results reveal? Oh,sorry, the test results won’t be revealed for another generation. / s

Yeah, completely agree. It is a Pfizer drug, so of course it was “free”. That always makes me suspicious!
Antivirals have been around for a while. Are the ones for COVID so different than the prior ones?
You’re onto it. Although this isn’t the document I was originally looking for, this will do for the time being.
“Protease enzymes must be present for the virus to successfully complete the cycle before taking the cell over. PAXLOVID or any drug classified as a ‘Protease Inhibitor’ will inhibit or decrease the Protease enzyme interfering with the virus. Ivermectin is the most successful and proven protease inhibitor in production. Just as with Paxlovid, ivermectin decreases the protease enzyme but…the benefits of ivermectin in Covid treatment are obvious and not present in paxlovid. Additional actions of ivermectin include anti-coagulant action and anti-inflammatory actions, both observed in Covid infections. Hydroxychloroquine is also a protease inhibitor and also works against COVID.”
https://stevekirsch.substack.com/p/paxlovid-and-molnupiravir-avoid
Thank you! I will pass this info on to them.
Ivermectin is not available in TN even though the legislature passed a bill saying that it should be over the counter. Nothing is ever simple. If you don’t plan ahead, you are stuck.
Dr Rose has significant knowledge on Paxlovid.
https://jessicar.substack.com/p/what-is-paxlovid?s=r
Basically, at best it’s useless, at worst it could prolong, cause illness to recure, or cause damage.
If it helps, husband and I just had covid last month.
We are early 70’s with no heath issues. Had 2 days feeling tired, muscle aches, congestion, sore throat, slight fever 1 day (99.6).
What worked (we did not take IVM or HCQ):
Quercetin 500 mg
Zinc 30 to 50 mg in 2 doses
Vitamin C 1000 mg
Took this combo 5 days and felt ok but tired within 3 days.
I took 1tsp black seed oil with 1t honey daily for 2 weeks to get past the period about 7-10 days in when there is potential for lung involvement 2 emerge.
Black seed oil is a non Rx substitute for Ivermectin if unavailable and included in FLCCC protocol. I could feel almost immediate improvement with congestion and breathing.
We felt fine but a little tired within 5-7 days, took a couple weeks for “normal”.
They say they are feeling fine, would not have even known they had it except they were seeing a NP for another issue who did a COVID test. Thank you for the link. The doctor seems very knowledgeable.
If they don’t have any symptoms it seems reasonable to not take it. As Mikey pointed out, it should be taken within a certain time period of symptom emergence. This should give you more time to do research.
I felt yucky for a couple days but after a day of chicken soup and lots of rest was back to regular household chores.
Never tested. Certain it was omicron due to symptoms.
Wouldnt hurt to do quercetin 250 mg, zinc 15 mg, vitamin C 500 mg for a week or two. These are all naturally occurring in food, but supplementing a bit can’t hurt, along with nasal irrigation and gargling. The combo offers immune support, anti inflammatory support, and reduction in viral load.
Helpful for any cold or flu!
BTW, quercetin helps a lot of people with allergy symptoms.
When your doctor is denying a patient ivermectin, which is known and proven to work as noted by our NIH and DARPA (see below), and you have to ask whether taking a pill that was brought to market licketedy split and is only “authorized” by the FDA, and not “ approved”, so you can’t sue, what do you think? Ivermectin is far cheaper than Paxlovid that cost into the thousands of dollars if taken in multiple doses.
As more and more information pours out of the Project Veritas leaked military documents, there appears to be a damning section in support of Ivermectin as a Covid-19 treatment.
“Ivermectin (identified as curative in April 2020) works throughout all phases of illness because it both inhibits viral replication and modulates the immune response.”
https://thinkcivics.com/ivermectin-works-throughout-all-phases-of-covid-according-to-leaked-military-documents/
I got over mine with Ivermectin and the other usual supplements. Worked great.
Hubby has Bret Baier on with Keri Lake. Rusty Bowers video—she says “He’s a RINO. And he will be defeated.” Bret cuts her off as she tells the truth about the election. She fought back calmly with facts. She says every issue we are dealing with comes from the stolen election. She was super articulate and EXCELLENT!!!! Bret was ridiculous. She said she was appalled and thought Fox was better than CNN.🔥🔥🔥
Keri Lake is one-of-a-kind in my book. She’s from that side of the street (MSM). She knows all the tricks and ploys. She has presence. She’s smart, knows the issues, and quick on her feet. In debate or against one of the talking heads, she will win. Always. Hands down. Take it to the bank.
I’m concerned about her lack of business or management experience, but at this point I believe a fearless fighter, smart and effective communicator is what we need most.
It is going to take a long time to fix years of damage, and we need talented fighters with a broad range of skills.
Kari’s a fighter, she understands media., and she’s fearless. Up against Katie Hobbs on the D side, Kari would look brilliant.
Works for me.
I hear you BeBuRes. I think she understands her weaknesses (whatever they may be) and is smart enough to find the right folks for her staff, not the ones pushed upon her. I think she’s a fast learner, too. You’ll be in good hands.
She got balls of fire, baby, where’s Blake Masters? He’s as cold as a snowman in AZ.

a mostly peaceful arkancide. If the cameras even partially worked, the FBI was probably not involved.
I was researching all of my candidates for my primary voting tomorrow and I found the best way for round 1 weeding was to search on the candidate’s name and “trump”. 🙂 If they made any defamatory comments about him, or suggested he “move on” after the 2020 election fraud, or anything else indicating they dislike or disrespect Trump, I won’t vote for them. And although abortion isn’t one of my top issues I wanted to see who was bold enough to declare they were pro-life. Sadly there are a few offices for which there isn’t a GOP candidate. I should have been watching more carefully, I would have run. 🙂
I just go to their websites and if I can’t find a word about immigration/border invasion (my pet peeve) then I eliminate that choice. Would like to do so for election integrity but so few candidates ever mention it so that in itself triggers my RINO sensor.
Yes! Statements about immigration are also extremely important!

Good for him.
He’ll be playing tennis and enjoying life long after the vaxxed ones have collapsed.
Ingraham showed some rock concert in Europe where female performers and the audience were listing the 6 Scotus justices by name and saying in unison, “F___Thomas, F___ Gorsuch, ect.”
All I could ask myself was “when did we let them equate “freedom,” their mantra, with “killing a helpless innocent”? When did being with child become a war, no different than WW2 where your freedom meant you had to kill your attacker. When did we let them equate an unborn child with an enemy, an attacker.
Then I realized that many parent, bad parents equate their kids with enemies. They hate them. They DO see them as takers of their freedom. Social workers deal with this every day.
I feel as if unborn children and many born children are very much the offerings of human sacrifice. The mother and yes, many fathers don’t want responsibility so the infant is the human sacrifice.
The Incas performed human sacrifices, usually of children.
Can you imagine? Yet, how is abortion any different other than it has little to no audience.
I read an account last week that left me in tears, a story of a nurse who quit because she had been ordered to aid in an abortion. The baby was gasping for air fo a long time, even after they tore her out of the womb, whimpering, whimpering, then gasping for air, gasping, gasping and the nurse turned to look at the child in the pail, a pail, of all things while the doctor ordered her to turn around and concentrate on the “patient.”
She quit her job after the deed was done.

Admittedly ignorant before this ruling, I now have a solid understanding of the travesty that was “Roe”.
I was intrigued by the following quote, and how Justice Alito reinterated it (at least partially) several times.
“When the Court summarized the basis for the scheme it imposed on the country, it asserted that its rules were “consistent with” the following: “the relative weights of the respective interests involved,” “the lessons and examples of medical and legal history,” “the lenity of the common law,” and “the demands of the profound problems of the present day.”
Roe Put aside the second and third factors, which were based on the Court’s flawed account of history, and what remains are precisely the sort of considerations that legislative bodies often take into account when they draw lines that accommodate competing interests.
The scheme Roe produced looked like legislation, and the Court provided the sort of explanation that might be expected from a legislative body.”
Enlightening….
Is an Inderstatement.
Thank you, Starfish Dude!
The scheme Roe produced looked like legislation
Indeed. People always complain about judges legislating from the bench. Well that’s pretty much what Roe was. The justices were trying to make a legal justification for what they wanted to do. I’m so thankful that Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett had the courage to right the wrong! Too bad Roberts is such a putz.
