Britain has a few foundational documents like the Magna Carta, but mostly they govern themselves by the pragmatic test of what works.
Same has applied in America, until very recently. American courts were all about precedent. Now? Biden has just announced the Bill of Rights to be void. We’re entering a world where worship of the State will govern us. The assumption will be that the people who’ve managed to take control of the State must be superior (super men?). A glance at Biden should demonstrate the folly of that dogma.

He was a wonderful man. His passing is also symbolic of the passing of a more honorable age. He was a man’s man and made great sacrifices in stepping down from his career for his wife, Queen Elizabeth.

He accomplished a LOT in his life — regardless of whether one agrees with some of his personal ideas. He served wife, family and country well for 73+ years.
Prince Philip just like Winston Churchill had a very distinguished military career long before he became famous. Philip at 18 was a Midshipman in the Royal Navy. Prince Philip’s mother became a Greek Orthodox nun. Her life story was quite unique. She was actually buried in Jerusalem near her aunt, the former Grand Duchess Elizabeth (Romanov).

My father told me of his interaction with Prince Philip in a small venue. Dad said he was warm, appreciative, and comfortable.
Funny enough, that interaction accompanied my dad’s ongoing conversation with Maggie Thatcher. (That’s a whole delightful story in itself.)
I fear we are seeing the last of a dying breed. The old British Royals were delightful people.
My heart goes out to the Queen. Sadness.

As the first born American of an immigrant Scottish family, my life revolved around America & the United Kingdom. From the Royal Family’s unity with the people during WWII, to the death of King George, Queen Elizabeth’s coronation, her marriage to Prince Philip & the birth of their first child, we clustered around a metal trans-oceanic radio, known for delivering shocks, & spent nights, evenings & days following their every event.
It is with sincere & heartfelt respect I offer my condolences to Queen Elizabeth on the loss of her husband. The lesson they’ve taught those who listen, is duty to the tasks not chosen by oneself, but by one’s Heritage & Country.
