Aaron Torgalski and Robert McCabe each faced a felony second-degree assault charge in Martin Gugino’s fall, which fractured his skull and left him unable to walk at the time, according to an attorney for Gugino. They had pleaded not guilty.
Both officers were suspended from the police force after the June 4 incident, which happened at a protest against racism and police brutality. They remain suspended pending the outcome of the internal affairs investigation, the department said Thursday.
While Flynn said the grand jury proceedings are secret and he cannot disclose details, he said he did everything possible to bring a strong case. (read more)

He spent weeks in the hospital milking the system, was yapping on his phone while on the gurney awaiting transport. I was airlifted to the same hospital’s Trauma Intensive Care Unit. I was discharged after 11 days. Spent 3.5 months in a wheelchair and 2 months on crutches. It took me about 5 years before I could walk and chew gum at the same time.

The farmers were well acquainted with the tendency of tyrannical jackasses to make up law on the spot, and use inferior levels of law to change a higher order of law, or change the law ex post facto, etc.
There is provision of the Constitution that can be changed by statutory law, and you, as a citizen, cannot be required to obey such an automatically nullified law. Such a “law” is self-nullifying.

If any one in DC still respected and followed the Constitution, then that would be valid.

Just saying here, imo, the D.A. wanted to be able to use the grand jury decision to avoid having to really take and prove this case at trial, and risk having it turn into a political narrative nightmare out of their control.
Again, it SERVED THE PURPOSE; many followed the headline, saw the video and bought the narrative of mean police knocking down old man, fracturing his scull, officers arrested.

I live close to Buffalo. Person in question is labeled a “social activist” in the community. I believe he was trying to create a “scene” to further his very left leanings. Another, police brutality. Most people here saw the “set up”. No sympathy here. In regard to the name of the officer in DC shooting, I believe his last name is Bailey and was involved with the incident at the baseball park in the shooting of Steve Scalise.

I believe this is the first I have ever heard of a Grand Jury NOT handing down an indictment. I am sure it has happened but I just cannot remember a case.

They are not clear yet. A bad internal affairs (IA) report would be just as “professionally” damaging as an indictment. If IA “convicts” them they are toast for all but Mall Cop or small municipality jobs.
