Michigan Democrat Governor Threatens Licenses of Doctors and Pharmacists Who Prescribe Hydroxychloroquine to Treat Coronavirus…

Governor Gretchen Whitmer from the Michigan Directorate has threatened to turn the eye of the state upon any doctor or pharmacist who would attempt to prescribe chloroquine to treat their patients suffering from coronavirus.  Medical licenses may need to be revoked.

The agency’s March 24 letter warns physicians and pharmacists of professional consequences for the prescribing of hydroxychloroquine (and chloroquine). Beyond the rational recommendation against hoarding, the letter includes threats of “administrative action” against the licenses of doctors that prescribe hydroxychloroquine.

MICHIGAN – Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs warns that prescribing hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine for treatment of COVID-19 ‘without further proof of efficacy’ may be investigated for administrative action; reaction from Dr. Jeff Colyer, former Kansas governor. (video)

It should be remembered that comrade Whitmer was selected by the party apparatchik to deliver the State of the Union rebuttal on behalf of the DNC’s totalitarian interests.  Heir Whitmer’s foreboding warnings are in the interest of the State comrades.

However, in defiance of the dictates from governing officials intent on increasing the body count to retain narrative favorable to the state, several independent medical communities have gone rogue.

Studies have shown significant reduction in viral loads and symptom improvement when combining these medications in COVID-19 patients. Though these studies do not prove efficacy, the results were so promising the authors of the most famous study concluded:

“We therefore recommend that COVID-19 patients be treated with hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin to cure their infection and to limit the transmission of the virus to other people in order to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the world.”

Elsewhere in Normalville…

Additionally, it is certainly interesting that Bayer gave the US Government 3,000,000 Chloroquine tablets.  According to the reports at the time 750,000 doses went to NY, the rest were never discussed (whereabouts unknown).  [LINK]

Why would Bayer provide U.S. authorities 3 million tablets of a medication if there was no curative value to the distribution?  Think about it…

But wait…  Even more recently, Novartis stated they have 50,000,000 doses on hand with another 80,000,000 doses to be ready by May.  [LINK]  Why would giant pharmaceutical companies produce and distribute 130 million doses of a medication for potential treatment if there was no basis it?

Something doesn’t add up….

The orange-man-bad media are shouting that Chloroquine is unsafe while Dr. Fauci says it needs more study.  If there is no curative value why produce 130,000,000 doses of Hydroxychloroquine for COVID-19 treatment?

Comrade Suspiciouski remains distant, yet suspicious…

Look at the Presidential candidates the Democrats put up this year. Did any of them have a room temperature IQ? Do you think they get any better at the state level? These aren’t leaders. They are spokesmen at best. Bought and paid for by interests that aren’t looking out for your interests. Did you ever see those videos where every single small town news anchor all over the country is saying the exact same thing? There’s your Democrat Governors for you. Like trained monkeys. We all remember Obama’s problems when his teleprompter wasn’t around. Biden is making him look like Albert Einstein. These Democratic governors have moved way beyond the positions in life that merit would have brought them. Gretchen Whitmer might have been your top waitress if you owned a Waffle House. Maybe.

      • JohnCasper says:

“Look at the Presidential candidates the Democrats put up this year. Did any of them have a room temperature IQ?”

Only if you keep your room at around 25 to 30 degrees.

      • CRF says:

They all had a room temperature IQ.
The temperature in my room right now is 78 degrees.
        C’mon man!

      • TheWanderingStar says:

I’d be happy if they all acquired room temperature. ?

      • Pale rider says:

I’d like to see at a Trump meeting someone up there yelling these findings to the crowd then followed by “what are you going to do about it?” Just keep repeating these morons behavior and yelling “what are you going to do about it?”
This country needs to be uncivil in a positive way. There are different types. The ‘anarchy’ Type to destroy and the ‘vigilante’ Type, that issues an edict to get ‘the heck out of our country commies.’
Soros has to go, how is he not a domestic terrorist? Money doesn’t cover these issues anymore when lives are now being lost in this war. It’s time!

        • Seneca the Elder says:

Pale- Excellent comment. Another thing, how is it Soros and his cabal are not brought up on charges for crimes against humanity?
I remember years ago watching Beck with his boards, doing the first expose of Soros that I had seen. How is it that no country has ever prosecuted him or his minions?
Meanwhile, he is spending millions working with the Demon Rats to try to defeat our President Trump.
Why is Manafort in prison while one of the most evil Super Criminals is free to try and destroy Western civilization?

      • GB Bari says:

I do get tired of having to refute this statement every time someone repeats it as an example of brainwashed media.

We already know that the MSM ***is*** brainwashed and ***DOES*** use the same stories and anti-Trump narratives as dispensed to them by centralized narrative planning sources like the former Journolist (until it was discovered and doxed) and now Media Matters and others. The MSM has been proven to be, and remains, simply an extension of the Democrat Party.

But the famous montage of 27 (+/-) local television station news anchors all repeating a statement of policy verbatim on April 18, 2018 is a false canard in trying to claim bias and coordination of a single news story.

The particular statements that were read that evening by the on-air anchors at those stations were simply reading (from their TelePrompters) a written Statement of Policy that was distributed to them by the stations’ corporate owners, Sinclair Broadcast Group. That statement was distributed to all of Sinclair’s 192 stations across the country, in 89 markets.

The statement included this sentence, “Some members of the media use their platforms to push their own personal bias and agenda to control exactly what people think. This is extremely dangerous to our democracy.” This was made to clarify the Group’s policies against personally-biased reporting of which the owners did not approve.

Following that public policy announcement by Sinclair, many MSM articles were immediately published and touted on MSM news channels in order to smear and belittle Sinclair because of its conservative, somewhat libertarian-leaning owner, David D. Smith, who was reportedly an ardent Trump supporter.

There are more than enough examples of MSM Fake News outlets using the exact same words in reporting their latest Anti-Trump tirades and smear attempts. We should not cite the Sinclair Group’s policy recitation by its news program anchors as one of those examples, because it wasn’t.

        IMHO. YMMV.

    • This woman thinks she is running a nanny state and she is the chief mommy. You can be sure if I get sick I am gonna find me some chloroquine. Since when does government get the right to micromanage like this?

      • ILOT says:

The reality is she doesn’t. This needs a VERY public face off and she needs to be professionally undressed in a very public way. If I’m a Dr. I make it clear you have no authority. The CV19 mess is in Detroit, for the most part and as one would expect. Fix THAT cesspool and fix this issue and many others. Instead, the moron (I don’t like ad hominem) is likely going to transport patients out of Detroit to outlying regions (west side). The nurse crying on FB how the CV19 struggle is real and offers the fact that a hospital in Detroit is out of Tylenol is NOT speaking to this crisis and doesn’t even know it. She is speaking to the inept leadership in healthcare, specifically healthcare in Detroit. It’s madness.

        • Sherri Young says:

Machine politicians are the epitome of human filth.

As when prosecutors morph into alpha parasites, and, like a diseased tick, climb the ever vulnerable legs of elective opportunity until their stealth and unrelenting evil intentions puts them in a position to abuse and feed upon the innocent.

It’s apparent psychopathy to practice medicine without a license. Psychologically healthy personalities don’t act this way. This is not just a matter of her overreach, this woman is dictating medical treatment to patients she has never clinically attended nor has a patient’s permission to accordingly attend.

To demand to do such is not just evidence of an unhealthy mind, but apparent malpractice with malignant intent; a fundamental depravity especially when it ultimate serves as a device for political predation imposed without remorse while grandstanding for personal gain.

Machine Politicians are epitome of human filth. They are a disease upon the corpus of civil society and a threat to decent, reasonable persons enduring within.

A state governor has huge authority to regulate health care in his or her state.

That’s just the way it is.

Complaining about a chief executive merely exercising their defined powers is thre same as people claiming Trump is a tyrant or authoritarian for exercising obvious Exec powers.

        • lftpm says:

And the MI governor has overstepped the boundaries of her administrative authority.
No governor has the power to prohibit conventional medical practices. Presribing off-label is accepted by ever state medical board. JHU estimates that 20% of prescriptions are off-label.

There is accepted peer-reviewed research supporting the scientific rationale for using HCQ or CQ in treating Coronavirus infections. The 4-star USPHS admiral on the Corona Virus Response Team, supports this off-label use.

You’re not a doctor. What seems to you to be in a governor’s wheelhouse is the impression of a medically ignorant individual. The governor was a communications major, and she graduated from a 4th-tier law school. She’s a Demwit, doing what unelected / zero-state-authority handlers are ordering her to do.

    • mike says:

      Dear MI Governor,
Please remember Mussolini and the Ceausescus. People get tired of deadly antics and usurpations by dictators.

I am not comfortable exhibiting the following level of paranoia, but my first take on reading this report was:

What is the logic behind Big Pharma OFFERING drugs to the USA which would only HELP their biggest and most dangerous opponent in an election year? Until I see proof they can make big bucks… What’s in this for them, that’s worth helping their enemy to a second term?

Next, a Soros-connected Democrat governor makes this politically illogical declaration “protecting” her constituents from taking that drug. Is she actually protecting them, against something yet to be realized publicly?

Who did those small studies at the core of this chloroquine recommendation? Could the studies be part of the set-up?

Is this all a planned disaster, set-up to saddle Trump with malpractice?

Like I said, I’m not comfortable exhibiting this level of paranoia. Maybe my fellow Treepers can offer other logical explanations for Big Pharma’s and Gov. Whitmer’s recent actions.

      • maggiemoowho says:

Democrats see dead people as political gold, that is a fact. They need this virus to hang around and keep killing people for political gain. The Nevada Governor banned this drug a few days ago, so it’s only a matter of time before all the other evil Democrat Governors follow. This drug has been used in COVID-19 patients in other countries with success. Big Pharma doesn’t care who the president is, as long as they can make big money. COVID-19 is gold for them too, but they don’t want people to die like the Democrats do, they just want people to buy their drugs.

      • RAC says:

” Is she actually protecting them,…….”
NO. She’s creating the opportunity for a black market where people may take the drug without medical knowledge and or supervision. Any bad repercussion from that can/will be used to bolster their political lies

        • Dixie says:

In the end, I hope she gets slapped with a big class action lawsuit for denying the drug to those who might ultimately need it.

          • TheLastDemocrat says:

Abortion policy is relevant. She is invading into provider-patient privacy, with privacy apparently being well codified in the Constitution, per Roe v Wade.

      • lumoc1 says:

Without medical training but thinking logically about publicly available reliable information one can safely reach the following conclusions about the off label use of chloroquine in dealing with the Cov19 virus:
        1. Chloroquine has been used for years in treating and preventing malaria, without restriction for its use in patients infected with a virus; therefore chloroquine is not considered harmful.
        2. At this moment there are no other drugs known to be effective against Covid19 that are approved for human use.
        3. The long-standing and rational explanation by the FDA for prohibiting the off label use of drugs is that such use may prevent or delay the use of effective and approved drugs in treating the patine; such drugs do not yet exit.
        4. Why would a sane person prohibit the use of a drug which may help, that is known not to harm, because it has not been yet proven in clinical trials to be effective in treating patients infected with Covid19. Shouldn’t such a person be charged with murder?

        • GB Bari says:

Not “murder” per se, but maybe “negligent manslaughter.”

Almost certainly she has set herself up for litigation against the Michigan state government by plaintiffs who are being denied the Right to Try, which was made legal by the Trump Administration. It would appear this twit governor has been ill-advised and has overstepped her authority.

        • lftpm says:

Doctors’ off-label prescribing constitutes ca. 20% of all prescriptions. It is conventional medical practice approved by every state medical board. The FDA can only prohibit DRUG MANNUFACTURERS from promoting off-label (formally called “not indicated” by FDA) usage to doctors and the general public.

      • Mike says:

The Kingdom of Bahrain’s Supreme Council of Health chairman said his country was among the first to use the drug and that its impact has been “profound,” according to the Bahrain News Agency.

Dr. Shaikh Mohamed, who leads the National Taskforce for Combating COVID-19, was also quoted by the news agency as saying hydroxychloroquine was administered according to the same regimens as those used in China and South Korea.
Now we know why South Korea’s virus is under control. Just the News

      • lftpm says:

The drug makers are ramping up HCQ and CQ production, as well as azithromycin, as a major PR booster: “Hey look, we’re selling low-cost drugs at our cost. We are helping end this pandemic.”

Former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown says it’s going to take a one-world government to tackle the coronavirus pandemic.

It’s a two-part problem, the former Labor leader explained: first the medical crises and then the economic shutdown imposed in response.

“This is not something that can be dealt with in one country,” Brown told the Guardian newspaper of London.

Brown does say that there needs to be a “coordinated global response.”

No one would argue with that.

Everyone here is crying because China was not sharing info and was not coordinating response with the rest of the world, as they prperly should have – on the next CTH entry, people are crying for us to hand China a bill for the burden they threw on us.

      • GB Bari says:

In the WND article entitled “Former British PM wants temporary ‘world government’” here is a pull-quote:

That means at least a temporary form of global government, Brown said.

That indicates Brown actually did use the term “global government.”
And, WND did include the term “Temporary” in their headline. Is there really a difference of intended outcome? Is there a substantive difference between “global” and “one world” ?
Not in my opinion; they’re synonymous.

WND, like so many other free news & opinion sites, includes a lot of clickbait advertising all over their pages, and like Breitbart, offer a share of short articles that lack depth and details and that might well be called “clickbait” because of the sensational sounding headlines.

Overall I’d rate them a B for their effort to get truth out there far more often than not.

Anecdotally, I know of a group of Dr.s who all have some.

Any temporary supply chain glitches can be alleviated, and don’t justify these draconian orders. They are an excuse, NOT a reason.

Dutchman is right – wholesalers are stocked. Plenty from Dr. Reddys and Sandoz and Teva. Pharmacy supply chains are good. Drug shortages are and have been an ever present problem. Will be until we move pharma back to USA.

        • Dutchman says:

Even with pharma moved to USA, there is the real potential for shortages. I know of instances of US manufacture facilities, production was shut down by FDA, 3-6 months, to go over and revise process.

This is why Federal law ‘allows’ citisens to purchase up to a 3 month supply, at a time, of Rx medications from international sources.
If India was not currently in lockdown, I could order hydrochloroquinol and azithro, basically as much as I want.

Was quoted price on a 250 pac, (125 of each) or a 500 pac, (250 of each) but I’m sure I could have gone to higher amounts.

Since typical coarse seems to be,5 days for most, figure it out,…

    • That’s the other one, hydroxychlorofomodianide, or whatever it’s chemical name is. Plaquinel isn’t the autoimmune drug.

      • I have systemic lupus and had been on a regiment of Plaquenil and prednisone for years until my new Rhuematologist thought that Plaquenil “might” make my psoriasis worse – it had not for the 15 years I had been on it. So she put me on a new medication called Otezla, which is cost prohibitive to the tune of $3,800/mo. out of pocket because insurance won’t pay for it. I was only able to get it because she has a contract with our public hospital system to teach and she’s allowed to also see her private practice patients in her offices there 2 days per week, therefore we are allowed to get our Rx’s filled at the hospital pharmacy and I paid only $25 for the Rx. So – $3,800 for privately insured and $25 for government run institutions – hmmm. That’s off the topic, of course. Otezla caused horrendous side effects that I’m still suffering months after discontinuing it and I’m in the wind now, not on anything to control my Lupus flares. Now it seems that people on Plaquenil are having better outcomes with Covid-19 and I cannot get back on my meds. Think I’m a little upset?

There are only something like a few thousand people hospitalized with this stupid virus. So I just dont see how there can be much of an increase in demand for the drug.

At least not to the extent that it could affect your ability to get it. Especially with all the doses being donated and manufacturers resuming production of it.

So if you cant get it, I think theres some other reason. (as far as Michigan it seems this governor is only preventing prescription of it specifically for CV, not for anything else)

          • Dawg, I’m no longer in Houston, unfortunately, and am now in Lafayette, LA – a 2 hr. drive from New Orleans. We have a confirmed 3,300 cases in the state with almost 700 hospitalized and almost 400 on respirators. This state has been particularly hard hit. One of the reasons for the shortage right now is that nationwide some physicians are prescribing it to themselves, their family members and their staff and friends – to the point some states are enacting legislation to stop it. I read of a case in CA where woman with systemic lupus went to get her Rx refilled and her Insurance Co, Kaiser Permanente, had a blanket denial of RX for all Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis patients because they want to save the meds for people with Covid-19 and thanking their insured for their “sacrifice”. As a Lupus sufferer I can tell you that Plaquenil is a life-saver and prevents our immune systems from attacking our organs. This is complete insanity.

I don’t understand why some doctors can’t leave things status quo to save my life. Taking methotrexate, for me, would be like trying to put out a brush fire with gasoline. My symptoms are mild, thankfully, with arthritis and fatigue being my chief complaints. Aside from when I was first diagnosed, I have not had any major organ involvement – it actually attacked my kidneys initially, which is how I finally got a diagnosis. I wrote her a nice letter last week. If I don’t have my meds called in by the end of this coming week, I’m going to present at her office and have a not so nice conversation.

I just saw an article on these medication assistance programs.
I cannot recall where. But the idea was that the drug companies are in collaboration with medical providers to switch the normal Rx for some condition to the new, expensive, under-patent drug so the drug company can make more money, and the medical providers feel this is OK since those with limited money can get the drug for free or low cost.

This may be an exact example: take away what was working, get you on a more expensive drug, and if you cry, they point you to the assistance program.

          • I completely agree with you – can you image $3,800 was going to be my “share” of the monthly prescription?? This drug caused me to have horrendous muscle spasms in my legs – both calves and both thighs – all night long. It did help with the morning stiffness I suffer, but that generally goes away within an hour. I was awake all night in agonizing pain. When those muscle spasms started in my arms and abdominal muscles I had had enough. I’ve since read on psoriatic arthritis message boards multiple people complaining of this same thing, yet it’s not listed as a potential side effect. Then, for the coup de gras, when I got off the medication I ended up with psoriasis all over my body – the very thing my Dr. said she was worried about with my Plaquenil (though I had been on it for 15 years and that had never happened). Unreal. Yes, all you have to do is look at the advertising these pharmaceutical companies do and you realize how much money they are raking in. It’s gross.

      • samwise163 says:

Wrong – yes it is. Hydroxychloroquine IS PLAQUENIL. Mechanism of action is suppression and inhibition of immune system’s complement cascade. Treats SLE and RA – lupus and arthritis. The drug adds a hydroxyl group onto chloroquine – hence the name.

Emergency Rule for Dispensing Chloroquine and
        Hydroxychloroquine
        Updated 3/22/2020
On March 22, 2020, Governor Mike DeWine authorized the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy to file
emergency rule 4729-5-30.2 of the Administrative Code, which reads:
4729-5-30.2 – Prescription requirements for chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine
        (A) Unless otherwise approved by the board’s executive director, no prescription for
chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine may be dispensed by a pharmacist or sold at retail by a
licensed terminal distributor of dangerous drugs unless all the following apply:
        (1) The prescription bears a written diagnosis code from the prescriber; and
        (2) If written for a COVID-19 diagnosis, the diagnosis has been confirmed by a
positive test result, which is documented on the prescription and both of the
        following apply:
        (a) The prescription is limited to no more than a fourteen-day supply; and
        (b) No refills may be permitted unless a new prescription is furnished.
        (B) Prescriptions for either presumptive positive patients or prophylactic use of chloroquine
or hydroxychloroquine related to COVID-19 is strictly prohibited unless otherwise approved
by the board’s executive director in consultation with the board president, at which time a
        resolution shall issue.
This rule is now effective and enforceable.

    • TheLastDemocrat says:

Once a drug is approved to be marketed / prescribed, by FDA, for anything, any prescriber is allowed to prescribe that drug for whatever he or she decides.

There are basically no limits to “off-label” prescribing.

In fact, there are many well-known indications for drugs that never get tested and approved. Since the medical journals publish evidence, and docs can read, there is no reason for a drug company to go through the FDA approval process.

What does the FDA approval process do? Two things.

It establishes that the drug can be sold in the U.S.
It establishes that it can be marketed for a particular “indication:” a disease, symptom, or disorder.

Without the trials submitted to the FDA and approved, you cannot market this, or any, Rx drug for an indication. However, a doc can Rx that drug for the indication.

So, once approved for one indication, it is available, and no need to deal with FDA process.

“HRT” showed signs of being protective against heart disease in women. But there was no clinical trial data, so the drug company could not advertise ro promote its use for that to docs.

So, they set up the “women health initiative” WHI study to be the clinical trial establishing HRT as preventive of heart attack in women.

–But it turned out HRT, when properly tested, was not preventive. Plus, it turned out that the risk-benefit ratio was not good, since HRT was associated with increased breast cancer risk.

The drug companies could have let sleeping dogs lie, and kept Rx HRT for “cardioprotection.” But they wanted to market it, and get the professional clinical societies to officially adopt HRT as recommended for most ALL women of a certain age. That is how you spell cash cow.

So, no, there does not have to be FDA approval for a doc to Rx any generally approved drug for any condition.

Regarding malpractice: very difficult to prove. Docs are allowed to practice what is usual and customary, OR also do what is practiced by a “respectible minority.” It turns out, as shown in case law, the “minority” of practitioners has almost no minimum number – can be two providers, or one, plus any hypothetical that might be out there.

There were psychiatry settings doing extreme “past life regression, and other “deprogramming” stuff to address the supposed pandemic of “satanic ritual abuse” back in the 1990s, and despite what was being practicevd – outside of regular psych, the providers could not get in trouble until direct harm was proven.

On the other hand, for many laws with horrible consequences, that are proven after decades of experience, there are many people who insist on making things worse. They are the type of people who attack and demonize anyone who points out the problems. And who work diligently to remove any fixes.

Like Obama undoing welfare reforms. And his using the last recession to try to pay more people to not work. Bragging about the numbers. Even with an economy that boomed, the total fraction of people working did not recover.

Technically an interesting question, as the registered indication (approved use, shorthand phrase is “on label”) for hydroxychloroquine is for malaria and a few other things, not COVID-19. Pharmaceutical companies can only promote (market) products for the registered and approved indications (“on label”) but prescribers often prescribe medication for non-approved use (“off label”). So while the pharma companies produce hydroxychloroquine, they can’t say “and we’re ramping up production because of COVID-19” — they can just say “there is a demand for this product, which is registered and approved for treating malaria and Lupus”. And the doctors can do what they want.

It is obvious that states run by Democrats are using the “safety monitor” mantran to thwart recovery from COVID-19 under any means so Biden doesn’t have to babble on TV, Clinton can wait in the shadows without being bothered, and Trump can be smeared through Election Day.

btw sweetness and light… the roads still suck (like you).

  35. I see at least a couple of things going on here:
    1. Big Pharma never lets a serious crisis go to waste. They are dumping their existing cheap inventory ($15/bottle retail at a pharmacy with a GoodRX coupon) prior to inking major gov’t contracts so they can replenish their stocks at an artificially high cost, justifying high prices.

    2. The anti-hoarding restrictions on pharmacies selling HCQ in NV, MI, etc. leaves hospitals as the sole distribution channel for HCQ, and hospitals will only prescribe to their patients. This ensures hospitals have supplies to heal patients and quickly turn over scarce beds. So that’s a good thing; meds go to the most sick, and we increase hospital bed capacity/throughput. But look at the markup! Aspirin costs $10/dose in the hospital, so you know the markup on HCQ will be ‘Glorious!’

I’ve been trying to get a prescription of HCQ since late Feb when I first heard about success in Asia. Dr’s didn’t know about it, then wouldn’t prescribe it. then dismissed it because Trump mentioned it, then heard negative media buzz (horrible in France where Dr. Raoult published his peer-reviewed study and is now being personally attacked by medical and political establishment). Yesterday one of my doc’s relented and called in a script, and the pharmacist said, “We can’t sell to anyone who doesn’t have existing prescription for Lupus or RA. It’s a federal law passed by Donald Trump. Besides, good luck finding any of it around.”

Summary: I was way ahead of the awareness/hoarding curve and I still could not get my hands on this stuff. We see lots of sketchy stuff going on around this virus, but there’s nothing we can do. Good thing we have a red-pilled, anti-vax, Right-To-Try, anti-corruption, citizen-first President who’s exposing this crap. In every thing he does, PDJT is battling all sides to bring peace and prosperity to the American people. We wish him well in this epic struggle.

  37. A note of caution on HCQ and studies, it’s cure rate on very sick people is not markedly higher than control groups, apparently because much of the lung scarring has already occurred and the HCQ stops the virus but does not heal existing lung damage. We can expect the anti-HCQ crowd to conduct studies heavily weighted with seriously ill people to “prove” that HCQ isn’t very effective. This is the first step in $ billions for R&D for years to come. Because that’s how they roll.

Gov Snyder did great things for Michigan, got us out of bankruptcy from Granholm years. The Flint water issue was not his doing rather the Democrat leadership in Flint was 100% at fault. Karen Weaver used money like a typical Socialist Democrat and did nothing for Flint. Michael Moore and media had a feeding frenzy on Governor Snyder who did not fight back. We did have Patrick Colbect a solid Conservative in the race. Colbect called out the Muslim influences here in Michigan and got shut down from the urbanites around Detroit. Of course in Michigan, with so many in love with the socialist ideology being so close to Canada, a pure Conservative will find it hard to win around the urban areas. Yes, Whitner is a Soros puppet and is doing her part for The Democrat Party in Michigan. We know there was corruption in voting around Detroit since the Democrats were in charge. Those of us in rural Michigan want her and her people and the Muslims gone. The Democrats are useful idiots when it comes to the Muslims here. We have a recall going, we are trying to make sure she is a one term Governor and a warning to America to be aware of her. There was a large support for that here with all the pot smokers.

      • Mark R says:

She needs to be recalled or prosecuted under something like “endangerment to patients” or any other potential law. There is very good evidence hydroxychloroquine is effective, however, few people know how it really works. It is known as a zinc ionophore. That means it is an agent that opens the cell’s “gates” allowing the trace mineral zinc to get inside the cell. Once inside the cell, zinc stops and further prevents RNA messenger replication. So it’s the zinc that is “curing” COVID-19 patients. Without the hydroxychloroquine zinc cannot get inside the cell.
BUT, there are a few other known natural zinc ionophores. Quercitin is a well researched bio-flavonoid. A chemical called epigallocatechin-gallte is found in green tea. Both are zinc ionophores – again these open the “gates” allowing zinc inside the cell, destroying the RNA mesenger which is what replicates.

She gave me a small bottle of tonic water with quine, every night after that she left a small bottle by the side of my bed.

The day Doctor Didier Rouault’s study was made available I called my sister and told her to get more tonic water – she said I just drank a bottle last night because my toes were cramping.

Family friend, healthy male about 65 or 70, was about to go on ventilator last night for covid at NYC hospital. They gave him the new drug cocktail (hydroxychloroquine and whatever else), woke up this am breathing easily and no fever. Firsthand story.

      • Blue Wildflower says:

Wonderful story, thank you! Dr Fauci said, “There is no miracle cure.” Talk to the first sick people that received penicillin! If we are cured with this drug, the pharmaceutical companies will not make money. We are seeing how evil our world has become. There has to be more to this story. We are at war for our very lives.

  51. Jeff Dooley says:

Find it interesting that gov’s with no medical experience or a license are getting away with attempted practicing of medicine by telling Dr’s how to use FDA approved prescription drugs. The bottom line here is that based on the Event 201 meeting that occurred Oct 2019 (Gates Foundation, John Hopkins, NBC & others) where this entire scenario was given a “dry run” as an example during the meeting, people who are opposed to the malaria treatments are waiting for the Gates Foundation to release their vaccine. Beware…

    • Thanks Buddy says:

Unknown people are waiting for the unknown vaccine, as shown in that unknown link. Have they been waiting since October of last year?

Polly is covering for her support of the Q anon movement. I suspect many are now pointing out, yes she has good goods, however she is a Q’ person. Hence this post from her.

It’s ideas like this that can end a political career, I love the self exposure, we can watch/read it again and again.

    • ILOT says:

We can hope it brings a quick end to this one. Not fixing the “damn” roads without a gas tax hike was a joke. Her incessant whining in the campaign ads about her mother suffering from breast cancer while the insurance companies hindered treatment; meanwhile her DAD ran blue cross blue shield.

Michigan has 186 hospitals, the VAST majority have zero cases of CV19…zero. Most are in Detroit as one would expect. So as I listen to a nurse from Detroit (God bless her) lament about the struggle on the “front line” is real and that they don’t even have Tylenol I am thinking are we friggin’ nuts? Are people actually buying this level of incompetence is the result of CV19? Finally, these morons are looking at moving the INFECTED patients from the east side of the state to outlying areas (west side). It’s just madness, gross negligence an as I’ve been saying, these people are simply dangerous and we are seeing living PROOF of that in real time.

      • Dwayne Diesel says:

        Great points.

I’ve been saying the same thing about the issues at hospitals for some time now. People keep touting how on the front line it is bad. How? How is it bad? The numbers just don’t support it. NYC is bad…but everywhere else the number of positives are minuscule. And out of those positives, an even smaller amount needs treatment. And then an even smaller amount need critical care.

These issues at the medical centers are not from Wuhan. I think a large part of the problems they are seeing stems from the lack of resupply for critical spares post H1N1. Obama’s people dropped the ball and nothing was done to fix the issues seen then nor were there actions taken to replenish depleted stockpiles. The N-95 masks are just one small part of the issue. The Regs Trump had to roll back regarding Wuhan test kits are another. And now this BS around a treatment that’s been used since the 1950s.

And Facebook and Twitter. Those two platforms are causing more issues as well. People literally spew and share all kinds of garbage. When you try to reason with the facts you get a damn NYTs Opinion piece thrown at you like it’s the gospel. Or they call you names and say how can you not see how bad this is!!!!!! OMG!!!!! AHHHHHH, were all going to die!!!!

I have learned over the last few weeks that there are way more people who think the government is the answer to all problems. And I’ve learned that there are way more idiots and morons that I previously knew about. Or, I should say my suspicions have been confirmed.

      Here is the cocktail mix:
      200mg 2x daily Hydroxy Chloroquine

Azithromycin, although an antibiotic also has antiviral activity.
Hydroxychloroquine is an agent allowing the zinc sulfate inside the cell. It is the zinc that stops and prevents RNA messenger replication, effectively killing the COVID-19

This is the last gasp of a desperate Leftist in a state slated to go red in the upcoming election. The State House and Senate are solid Republican. Governor “Fix the Damn Roads” Whitmer must deliver for Biden. In a blatant partisan move, she destroyed the state economy by shutting it down with virtually no cases on the ship. Now she is willing to kill people to keep the Trump Train out. Shameful. If only the Republicans could find quality candidates to run for statewide offices. Like John James, Jr.

    • alliwantissometruth says:

I hope so DanJ, because her election victory, as well as other far left Governors, State Attorney’s, etc. victories, are the accumulation of the radical lefts stranglehold on our school system and the saturation of our country by third world hoards coming to fruition

The real battles are local where people CAN and NEED to get involved. Take back our local, regional and state governments and by all means drive the cancer of the left out. These people WILL hide when exposed, they just need to be exposed. These 2 Democratic governors in NV & MI (& any others that choose to follow these 2 clowns) are too stupid to realize that they have essentially terminated their own beloved political careers as their own people will simply not tolerate this likely ILLEGAL intrusion upon distribution of this drug to those in the most need of it.

And I have absolutely -0- doubt that in the FINAL ANALYSIS when these 2 buffoons are before their God, they will be sent swiftly to the Nether regions where they truly belong.

I pulled the abortion card out on a FB idiot because he was in full-blown FB hysteria mode screaming about 14 deaths in 14 hours in NYC due to Wuhan. I replied:

That’s so sad. 14 people in 14 hours…such a tragedy….how many died in NYC from FLU over that same time period? Or, if it’s really about lives how many babies were aborted during that same time in your city?

I stated this on earlier thread: MEDICAL AND PHARMACY STATE BOARDS do NOT HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO DICTATE PRESCRIBING AND DISPENSING PATTERNS OR PRACTICES OF PROVIDERS. They can only ISSUE GUIDANCE. Governor has not authority – so this is just pontificating and grandstanding.

The answer To your question Sundance is because hospitals and physicians/providers are ALREADY treating these moderate-severe-critical patients/people with this medication. That means AT ALL COST do not let President Trump get credit. These are sick people (I don’t mean the patients ?).

    • Mariposa323 says:

What is worrying is I’m hearing of a case who is pretty severe in the Baptist Health system here in Florida and yet the Doctor is not allowed to prescribe the drug because it is not yet part of the protocol . What the heck is that all about ?

      • This is to insure that as many people as possible die from COVID-19 to try to diminish PDJT’s election chances. Make no mistake, the left is hoping for a depression and millions of deaths that they can blame on Pres Trump.

By Any Means Necessary means just that. Why does it take 3 days for the House to vote on the bill? How are the unions, just now, discovering 39 million masks that they can sell (price gouging) to hospitals? Why are governors dictating to medical professionals that the only treatment showing clear promise is not allowed?

        There are no coincidences here.

      • 2zymos says:

When the government is in charge of health care, laws are in charge of your medical treatment and laws are in charge of payment for the treatment. You get medical care by what the law and the law maker and law enforcer “say” you get!

Now we see many more figuring out the consequences/implications of electing a usurper/treasonous-fraud and not fighting the “good” fight at the right time — actually fighting unlawful obamacare and unlawful conduct by those putting it in place (and “deciding” eventually that it was lawful/constitutinal).

    • bigd57 says:

I work in the pharma industry and it is actually not that hard for a large pharma company to produce that quantity in a short period of time. If they have the raw materials they have machines that can manufacture multi thousands of pills per hour. There is usually not very much drug in each pill, like milligrams, so a lot of material is not needed if the cost is 5 cents per dose. The delay to May means that they need to complete their quality control testing before release of the next batch.

Trump suggests chloroquine, therefore the left must deny its efficacy. Problem for them is that well before Election Day the hydroxychloroquine (+ zinc and possibly azithromycin) regimen will probably have proven very effective. So Cuomo’s prohibition of its use – outside of a double-blind study where half of the participants get only a placebo – is cruel and may have condemned some to death. If he’s the Dems’ presidential candidate, that will sink him.

  62. Jeffrey Coley says:

It is becoming clear now, although I was initially inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt (stupid me), these Democrat governors are issuing the “no chloroquine” executive orders solely to try and embarrass the President by painting him as a know-nothing snake oil salesman touting a bogus cure all, with only the sober adults in the Democrat party standing between the public and junk science touted by Orange Man Bad.

    • Dwayne Diesel says:

I hate t be a Debbie Downer, and I love the President to death, and I loathe the Governor of Michigan who managed throw in “an infant was diagnosed with it” during a Fox interview last week.
And I shared the French Study on that Thursday a week ago the same day the President came out and spoke of the combining the Hydro(oxi?)chloroquine with Azithromicin, so I was all for experimentation with people near death, but now I am not so sure and the Bayer thing has me nervous.
(I am not anywhere close to the medical field – just a 65 year old filled with common sense and a conservative.)

I did read this on someone’s blog a few weeks back regarding the Spanish Flu.

“Bayer Pharma convinced doctors worldwide to give patients lethal overdoses of aspirin.
Naturally, I’ve been reading about the 1918 “Spanish Flu” pandemic. It was gruesome – it hit young people very hard, and many would hemorrhage blood from their eyes, nose, mouth and ears as death approached. Absolutely terrible, right?

Here’s the REST of the story. And it’s a Duzy.

The reason why the Spanish Flu of 1918 was so awful, hit young, strong, healthy people, and caused gruesome death was because the medical community was convinced by an aggressive marketing and advertising push by the Bayer Pharmaceutical company to mega-dose ASPIRIN to people with the flu. Mega-dose as in LETHAL OVERDOSE.

    CITATION HERE.
“Salicylates and Pandemic Influenza Mortality, 1918–1919 Pharmacology, Pathology, and Historic Evidence”
    Karen M. Starko
    Clinical Infectious Diseases, Volume 49, Issue 9, 15 November 2009, Pages 1405–1410

Doctors were told to give patients “a half-handful of aspirin pills EVERY HOUR”. People were being dosed thirty grams – not milligrams, GRAMS – of pure aspirin every day.

Guess what happens to human beings when they overdose on Aspirin?

-PULMONARY EDEMA. Fluid in the lungs. AKA “pneumonia”. This alone is enough to kill people, but when you take a person who already has a flu bug and intentionally throw them into a state of aspirin-induced severe pulmonary edema, the person has basically zero chance. Also, Aspirin inhibits the body’s ability to “clear” the mucous membranes. What should have been just a normal incidence of the flu became guaranteed death, even to strong young men in their twenties, many of whom died of BACTERIAL PNEUMONIA “superinfection” because their lungs were hyper-vulnerable to ALL infection from Aspirin toxicity, not just the flu.

-HEMORRHAGE. Yeah, that thing of “Spanish Flu” victims having blood coming out of every orifice as they neared death? That was the Aspirin overdose. The hemorrhaging had nothing to do with the flu.

Death rates from the Spanish Flu varied wildly. In some places the death rate was negligible, just like any other seasonal flu. In other places it was over 3%. History has just recently figured out that the wild swings in mortality rates were highly correlated to Aspirin.

The Bayer Pharmaceutical company murdered hundreds of thousands if not millions of people and were never held to any account. Ooop-sie! In fact, 1918 was a massive financial boon to Bayer, it established Aspirin as the most popular and widely used drug in the world, and Bayer AG is to this day one of the biggest Pharma companies in the world. And it is largely built on the dead bodies of the people they murdered in the Spanish Flu pandemic. “Es tut uns leid! Ha ha!”

Why did the medical community blindly do what Bayer told them to do? Because they wanted to appear as if they were “doing something” and give the public the appearance of confidence and competence. And doctors like giving people drugs, and are extremely susceptible to the flattery and bee-ess that Pharmaceutical reps slather them with. “Ooooh. All the SMART doctors are prescribing THIS drug. You’re smart, right? You want to do what all the OTHER smart doctors are doing, right?” This sleazy Pharma marketing crap has been going on for WELL over 100 years, folks.”

Take what you want from this, I certainly. have no idea what is right to do, and I go back and forth
a million times all day long.

An overdose of just about anything will kill. The science back in the early part of the 20th century was still in its infancy. More or less. That being said, the efficency and proper dosage for HC has been determined over the past 70 years or so since its development. It is currently being used, safely, in countries worldwide where malaria is prevelant.
Its all about the dosage when it comes to drugs and their benefits.

    • theasdgamer says:

It wasn’t Bayer that pushed the aggressive marketing per your barnhart blog. And there is strong anecdotal evidence by physicians that there are a couple of therapies that have worked. The drugs have been through clinical trials for malaria and lupus and the side effects are well known as are the safe dosages. No need to worry. Pharma companies are giving away millions of doses. Profit isn’t driving this. Settle down.

A Federal Judge ruled against Governor Patrick’s ban on Zohydro, a narcotic drug. The judge ruled that he could not ban an FDA approved drug. It sounds like the State tried to ban the drug by restricting medical practitioners from prescribing it. So they didn’t ban the pharmaceutical companies from selling it in their state, because they couldn’t get around the powers of the FDA, but the judge ruled against the states ban anyway. Someone needs to file a lawsuit against Michigan and Nevada, because they are trying to ban that malaria drug the same way by putting restrictions on practitioners and pharmacies.

      • Guessed says:

You would be wrong to assume that a doctor’s license cannot be taken away easily. Medical boards across the 57 states suspend or cancel them every day. Very few doctors will successfully appeal these suspensions, because they are usually well justified and well documented.

The issue is what authority the governor in the state of Michigan has over the state licensing board. What if the board refuses to suspend those doctors licenses? Then what can she do?

        • unconqueredone says:

This is true. Licenses are suspended by medical board in many cases simply on the accusation of a crime (meaning a crime not related in any way to patient safety). It is difficult and expensive to get them re-instituted regardless of being found innocent.

Also note – other than a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) analysis comparing DNA of multiple corona viruses (SARS/MERS/Influenza/common cold) with the novel SARS-CoV-2 known as CoVid19. That requires blood test to separate the DNA. WE DON’T HAVE A TEST THAT SPECIFICALLY IDENTIFIES COVID19 WITHOUT CONDUCTING PCR! • Dutchman says:

      Avg cost, Worldwide is $0.04
Avg cost in U.S. is $3.34

Let that soak in for a minute. And those who have graduated from Sundances excellent online coarse on Maganomics 101, that is that have read, and re-read his articles on Maganomiccs, or Trumponomics, explaining the Economic reset, the exfiltration of wealth, “lemons and widgets”, etc. will recognise this.

By controlling supply, thru circumventing individual countries man made laws prohibiting anti-trust, multi-national companies can circumvent the ‘natural’ law of supply and demand, thereby controlling the price of products to maximise profits.

They have been doing this, for many years. They limit the supply in the U.S., because American consumers can AFFORD to pay more than consumers in other countries.

In the case of FOOD, the push more “money” in the form of FOOD STAMPS”, i.e. Federal dollars, into the economy so ‘consumers’ collectively can afford to pay the higher prices, even if those who don’t recieve food stamps pay a higher price.

With drugs, drug companies have ‘give away’ programs, for those who can’t afford necesary medications. They then take the theoretical “cost” of this program as a tax “write off”; however, the actual cost of a medication is in the research and development.

The cost to produce the medication is literally, fractions of a penny per pill.
As confirmation, simply look at the Worldwide average cost of this malaria medication; $0.04. Thats the average RETAIL cost, which includes manufacture, distribution, and profit.

As another example, I know of a ‘life saving’ medication; U.S. cost; $2400/ months supply of 30 pills.
Cost from India; $900 for a 12 month supply of 360 pills.

For those unable to have insurance pay for the medication, the manufacturer has a generous program to supply, free of charge to the patient, the medication.

Of coarse they document this, and deduct this charity on their taxes.

So, they charge $80.00/ pill, in the U.S.Costs them some fraction of a penny to produce.

In India, retail price is $02.5, or 2 1/2 cents/pill.

In short, the marketing of pharmacueticals by multinational drug companies, is an exaggerated example of Sundances “exfiltration of wealth” as explained in his Maganomics articles.

Its lemons or widgets, only grossly distorted. Along with price transparency, bringing pharmacuetical manufacturing back to the U.S. should therefore not only make it ‘safer’, but actually LOWER drug costs to consumers, considerably.

Put another way, NONE of the savings in cost, from moving manufacturing to China, has been passed on to consumers in the U.S.

      • Big Pharma gives free drugs to poor people as Hush Money so the masses don’t rise up and revolt.

        • Dutchman says:

Well, no. Actually Pharma MAKES, potentially a LOT of money, from “giving free drugs to poor people”; its a way for them to get access to $ from the,Federal government, in the same way Food stamps are, for food producers.

And for both, a viscious cycle, that we see EVERYWHERE large amounts of Federal dollars are infused into a market, in order to “help” consumers “afford” product.

The Federal $’s increase the demand, which increases the price, which is then used to justify increasing the Federal $’s, which further increases the price. Viscious cycle.

And, when the price gets so high that virtually no one can afford the product without Fed $ “help”, the same geniuses insist on “Nationalising” the industry, as the only solution.

Housing costs, College tuition, and healthcare.
3 things which have, consistently and over many years, had consumer prices rise at rates much greater than inflation.

All 3 are market sectors with massive Federal gov’t interventions, both in terms of regulation and in terms of infusions of Federal $ into the market, to “help” consumers to afford.

And now we see calls for “single payer” (Gov. payed for) Healthcare, and College tuitions paid for by the Gov.

Free housing is next, as we have seen rent controls, then section 8 housing.

And multiNationals, working thru COC and other lobbying organisations, have bribed the Uniparty, in order to fascilitate the pillage of our country.

Sundance’s “Lemons an Widgets” article was an eyeopener for me. It answered many questions about the shadowy “deep state” control of our government and how it exercises that control. As impossible as total world domination seems to most of us, its here and now has the perfect tool to make it absolute and impenetrable: electronic surveillance.

      • theasdgamer says:

So you think that it’s Ok for Indian companies to freeload off of American companies who spent millions on testing? Manufacturing costs are merely one part of the equation. There’s veterinary testing as well as multiple clinical trials. Vets and docs have to be paid. There are always specialized tests and widgets which have to be produced small batch. There has to be FDA compliance to be met and proved. Sometimes some back and forth and more tests. Expensive.

Some years Big Pharma loses money on drugs that don’t pass testing. Maybe they pay very little income tax that year. Bad years affects costs of other drugs already on the market. But of course your Indian companies don’t have to worry about that. There’s lots of patent infringement by international drug cos.

        • Dutchman says:

Seem to recall this drug has been around more than 20 years, and so is off patent, meaning anyone can make it.
As we are beginning to see, thru this cv, there are stupid, nonsensical rules and regulations, which make medications overly expensive to develop.
This is not the forum to fully debate the issues involved in drug manufacture, distribution and pricing.
          Its complicated business, folks!

The final stage of drug testing, is marketing. They test in test tubes. Then animals. Then heathy humans. Then, humans who have the condition, but nothing else and taking no other meds. Then they market it, cause there is no practical way to test for all the possible conditions or other meds people could have or be taking.

So, I have a general rule for me and mine. If it ain’t off patent, we don’t take it, unless poszible its a matter of life/death.

Off patent medications have well understood drug and condition interactions.
Don’t want to be their lab rat, and find out the medication rotted my liver, thank you!

Poooor Gov. Whitner. Sees her party chair in the NWO slipping away before her eyes, as the NWO this crisis was supposed to trigger itself collapses.

Well, the doctors in Michigan and Nevada can use one of the other cures, then, particularly the high dose Vitamin C, which only even requires a prescription if you want to deliver it intervenously. The science with respect to covid-19 is here:
    https://archive.fo/3bqDa

I used high dose Vit C myself last year to cure my own shingles. Took a few days longer than by IV, as I took it by mouth around the clock, because I refused to bow and ask permission (a prescription) from a high priest in a white lab coat to get well.

But you watch. The next rabbit Trump pulls out of his hat will be forcing the CDC & FDA to raise the artificially and profitably low RDA for vitamin C. Then you’ll really see fireworks, because it works on all viruses, mooting the entire predatory vaccine industrial complex.

    • TreeClimber says:

Where does one acquire high-dose Vit C? I’d like to get some for my family to have standing by.

      • Dutchman says:

Research “lyposomal vit.c”. It is expensive to buy, but those who are DIY can make their own.

Their are actually a # of ways to introduce medications into our bodies, besides just I.V. or oral, for enhanced bioavailability.

Lyposomal is one, DMSO is another, sublingual, nasal insufflation and suppositories are others.

NOT for everyone, and you MUST do your homework, but think of this.

        For MOST medications taken orally;
90% of the medication is destroyed by the stomach acid, in the digestion process.

Of the remaining 10%, which is absorbed by the intestines, into the bloodstream; all the blood from the intestines goes FIRST to the LIVER, THEN to the rest of the body.

The liver doesn’t recognise MOST medicines as beneficial, so it tteats them as a POISON, by using one of several chemical processes to metabolise them, converting them to inert substances.

This is,what is known as “first pass” metabolism. If you delve into the “product insert” wich you can request from your pharmacist for any Rx medication, it will tell how quickly medications are metabolised.

Then, with each subsequent pass, more medication is metabolised. This is why medications like “painkillers” gradually wear off.

If you are truly interested in “bioavailabilty enhancement”, read up on DMSO, Piperine, and Lyposomal.
And don’t neglect the basics of nasal insufflation, sublingual, buccal and both vaginal and anal suppositories.

Again, its NOT for everyone, and reckless application COULD present dangers, as methods of administration that bypass the stomach and/or liver metabolism mean there is the potential to “overdose” unless you drastically reduce the amount of meds, but for those interested there ARE some fascinating alternatives to either taking a pill, of having a Dr or nurse inject.

        • TreeClimber says:

I really appreciate your excellent suggestions. I come from a family of homeopaths and naturopaths, so I’m very interested in alternative medicine. Unfortunately a lot of the information we had was lost with my mother’s stroke, and it wasn’t current anyway. Do you have any suggestions for a good, dependable, reputable source for me to start my research?

          • Dutchman says:

Hate to say it, but google is your friend, as a starting point.
“Bioavailabilty enhancers/enhancement”, Lyposomal absorbtion (how it works, how to make your own) DMSO, how works, how to use, Bioperine/piperine is a fantastic substance, as well as how it was developed,…sublingual administration, buccal administration, suppositories, (all of which avoid the stomach acid issue,..hopefully that gives you a good start.

IMO, these evil doers are talking, communicating, plotting how to leverage this crisis and keep chaos going.

How is this any different than what terrorist do?

How is this not another coup attempt but this time it’s on the entire country and not just a President.

Mr. President, we know there is no end to their evil in order to stop you from a second term as we are seeing now.

So, I hope you will consider this as a matter of National Security and use the Patriot Act to see via the NSA meta data, which people and groups have been talking, planning, plotting to leverage this crisis well before their was any crisis with the objective to cause as much chaos to undermine, jobs, the economy, this country and your Presidency.

Far fetched? I think not, Just look at all the unbelievable things the evil doers have done to PT and his Presidency over these past 4 years.

My dad is a medical doctor who has been closely watching the chloroquine developments in the fight against COVID-19. He thinks there’s plenty of evidence of the efficacy of the treatment and that we do not need to wait for clinical trials or scholarly studies.

Another relative of mine is a pharmacist. The two of them talked and the pharmacist revealed that they are experiencing a severe shortage of hydroxychloroquine at their pharmacy because a local doctor is prescribing it to friends and family and anyone else who wants some.

THAT is a BIG problem. If you are not sick, do not ask for a prescription. Let the sick folks get access to it first until the pharmaceuticals can catch up with demand.

    • disgustedwithjulison says:

Can report in Minnesota that pharmacists have a shortage of the drug for the same reasons. Doctors know it works and are giving it to friends and family.

      • hopefully caregivers are taking it.

      • elsuperbus says:

You give doctors too much credit. They don’t “know” it works, just that there’s potential for it to work. The doctors prescribing it en masse are the equivalent of the laymen hoarding toilet paper.

        • Hans says:

Such a broad statement… Obviously you must know all Doctors to make this statement.. that is all except the ones who wrote the anecdotal reviews.

So you smear all Dr’s as toilet paper hoarders…

Tell me do you TROLL much.

I know people who were on Plaquenil for specific needs well before this virus. They have called to make sure they get refills.

Part of the major reason for this is that I know for arthritis, Plaquenil is a slow-acting drug. Most people who take it notice improvement after one or two months, but it may take up to six months to see the full benefits.

People who are on Plaquenil don’t want to be in a situation where they can’t take it and get right back to square zero… with knowing that it might take months for it to start working for them again, or it might not anymore.

I’m not a medical expert, just have friends who take the drug Plaquenil.

      • Dutchman says:

If your friends experience a shortage, Federal law “allows” citisens to order up to a 3 month supply of Rx medications, from pharmacies outside the country, in order to address this very situation.

There is NO indication, at present, of a Worldwide shortage. Therefore Canadian pharmacies, which will require a copy of their Rx, Or Mexican or Indian pharmacies, (that don’t require Rx of ‘walk in’ customers in their own countries, and so don’t require them from their internet customers, can fill their Rx.

It can take awhile to clear customs, I have seen delays of up to 6 weeks, although last time I ordered it was about 2 1/2 weeks.

        • chojun says:

Many countries are banning this drug for export.

          I’d plan for shortages.

          • Dutchman says:

While an understandable reaction, a kind of hoarding on a National level, it actually makes less sense than hoarding toilet paper.

There is NO Worldwide shortage, at present. Just as there was, initially no shortage of tp.
You say “MANY countries are banning for export”; could you site references?

I recieved a missive from a pharmacy in India, a week ago, unbidden. They indicated they had plenty in stock, asking me if I was interested, and advising me they were ‘shutting down’ till April 1st, due to cv.

Then, after that I saw headline that INDIA was going into a ‘lockdown’, so will wait till fools day to see if I hear from them or not.

Ironic that SOME countries, as you say are banning exports, so reserving for their own citisenry, while Nevada and Michigan govenors are prohibiting Dr.’s from prescribing.

Hoarding is a herd instinct kind of activity, foolish but understandable human reaction.

If you are a libtard, you can look at this situation as justification for a “One World Government”, under the belief that, such a government would be able to, in a totally uncorrupt way, distribute “to each, according to their need”.

If you are a Nationalist, you see this as justification for strong National Borders, and bringing manufacturing and supply chains back within those borders.

Interesting dynamic, especially as it is percieved as effecting citisens financial AND physical health.

I guess we the people will need to stop being sheeples and rise up to defend our constitutional and God given rights. And I’m not sure we will. Every time they announce another restriction it’s crickets from the electorate. Hell there’s even people I know who were 2nd amendment Trump supporters who are cheering on facebook to put us under stay at home here in Arizona. How sick is that and how anybody could feel that way shocks me.

No need to research flyover country, I’ve seen them outside of Philly. The mayor as Sundance posted a couple of days ago, decided to have the Police not go after criminals. Scared the crap out of a lot of people and a lot of first time gun buyers. Gun Shops had lines out the door, even well outside the city limits. They ran out of stock, got resupplied and ran out again and again. Used guns that were in the cases and weren’t moving, were grabbed up.

Wolf the Democrat Gov. declared gun stores weren’t essential and shut them down. That didn’t go well and several gun advocate lawyers were all over it. Gun stores can now be open with various health safety rules in place (overkill) but better than the police trying to shut you down. A lot of gun stores have just shut down when they sold out, because of what they see as the personal risk, but many are still open.

    • RobInPA says:

No, you are not the only one.

Depends how these rogue dictator governors try enforcing their edicts, as to whether we need a shooting war. They might be all bark and no bite. We try civil disobedience, first, and see who on their side shows up with a weapon to enforce it.

It really is beyond reason to me that the Governor of Nevada and now this wannabe from Michigan poke their noses into medicine and a possible treatment of the corona virus. How does this play out? They so obviously have TDS or are trying to keep the epidemic alive and tank the economy to , wait for it, hurt Trump.
