Seven Times a Failure
Despite man’s natural tendency to boast, history has proved again and again that he is a failure, in deep need of God and His grace.
The Age of Innocence closed with man rebelling against his Creator and becoming a fallen, sinful creature (Rom. 5:12).
The Age of Conscience opened with one murder (Gen. 4:8) and before another age was ushered in “the earth was filled with violence” (Gen. 6:11).
Then came Human Government, but the world’s first ruler made a spectacle of himself through drunkenness (Gen. 9:20,21). Little wonder we soon find the race intoxicated with its own importance so that God had to confuse their language at Babel (Gen. 11:4,7,8).
The Age of Promise came next, with Abraham failing to enter the promised land through unbelief (Gen. 11:31-12:3). It closed with Israel, his seed, failing to enter the promised land through unbelief (Heb. 3:19).
The Age of Law began with Israel worshipping a golden calf before Moses had even gotten down from Sinai. Little wonder it ended with the rejection of Christ.
The Age of Grace commenced with the Apostle Paul, God’s ambassador of love and grace, persecuted and imprisoned (Eph. 6:20). This showed man’s attitude toward God and His grace. It will be brought to a close as man continues persistently to go on in his sin rather than accept redeeming grace through Christ (II Cor. 4:4; II Tim. 3:1-5).
The Kingdom of Christ, which is to follow the present age, will begin with our Lord rebuking strong nations (Micah 4:3) and will close with multitudes, who for a time had rendered enforced obedience, following Satan (Rev. 20:7-9).
How all this demonstrates man’s need of God and salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ! “All have sinned” (Rom. 3:23) but, thank God: “Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Rom. 10:13). Though surrounded by sin and rebellion, multitudes down through history have called and have been saved.

So you respond to the scene of a shooting and the victims are all howling, screaming and demanding that you do something to catch the killer. You start to canvas the crowd and despite the killer standing there and emptying his magazine – no one saw nuttn’ and don’t be hearin’ nuttin’. Oh yeah, and dey don’ be trustin’ da po-leece…
Ask me how I know.
Just a few days back there was crystal clear video of a black thug sauntering into a crowded black gathering on the street and hosing down a vic. Now I have to believe that not only did no one in that crowd have a gun to fire back but again no one new the shooter or could describe him yet those interviewed by the press were adamant that the community needs to be safer.
Violent crimes are down from their Dodge City levels, though that’s a national trend, and the city at best solves fewer than 70% of its murders (no telling how much of that is due to playing with the reports/stats) and 40% of its armed robberies (see previous comment). A lot of places change crimes from one that’s FBI crime stat reportable to one that’s not to help crime rates look better and where that’s not the reason for the drop if you’re one here who’s had his shooting (aggravated battery with a firearm – reportable) to ‘negligent wounding’ (not reportable) the stats don’t mean much. We can’t clean up the community but we can spray some White Out on it.

Hawaiians have a sport, “Poke Da Pig” – hunting wild boar with dogs and a knife. It’s a dangerous sport.
Since the firearms ban in Australia, some farmers are reduced to doing the same to protect their crops

Not sure if the Aussies are dealing with the same feral hogs we are. We took well over a hundred off of the farm across the street about 18 months ago, the rest left and moved into forest land to the north and haven’t come back. If you pull out the piglets under 30 pounds we took the average size was a bit over 200 pounds with a few boars over 400. These guys are gonna be a bit of a problem to poke with a knife.
As I understand it the Aussies have banned semi-auto, pump action and rifles with a greater than 5 rounds. That still leaves bolt-action, lever action and single shot. Tgen again, the Aussies have a far greater history of being subjects of the Crown/State than we have, there are more folks here who believe that we own the government and not the other way ’round.

An average view of the Christian life is that it means deliverance from trouble. It is deliverance IN trouble, which is very different. “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High…there shall no evil befall thee” – no plague can come nigh the place where you are at one with God.
If you are a child of God, there certainly will be troubles to meet, but Jesus says do not be surprised when they come. “In the world yet shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world, there is nothing for you to fear.” Men who before they were saved would scorn to talk about troubles, often become “fushionless” after being born again because they have a wrong idea of a saint.
God does not give us overcoming life: He gives us life as we overcome. The strain is the strength. If there is no strain, there is no strength. Are you asking God to give you life and liberty and joy? He cannot, unless you will accept the strain. Immediately you face the strain, you will get the strength. Overcome your own timidity and take the step, and God will give you to eat of the tree of life and you will get nourishment. If you spend yourself out physically, you become exhausted; but spend yourself spiritually, and you get more strength. God never gives strength for tomorrow, or for the next hour, but only for the strain of the minute. The temptation is to face difficulties from a common-sense standpoint. The saint is hilarious when he is crushed with difficulties because the thing is so ludicrously impossible to anyone but God.

I used to marvel at people who could engage atheists with answers. The other day it became so clear. I saw how the truth has no equal and the lies that nonbelievers put forth are easily spotted as lies. I have to admit, it is not me but him in me.
For sometime I was under the impression it was my studies, but now I concede my studies are only confirmations of what God has put in me.
Walk boldly with your truth, it is salvation to the lost. It does offend many but so did Jesus.

Senator Feinstein along with the other Democrat Senators have introduced an Amendment to the Constitution of the United States. Ostensibly to negate the Supreme Court’s Citizens United ruling, it sounds like an interesting back door to stifle the freedom of speech and change the structure of our government from a representative Republic to a Democracy, using the words democratic in the text of their Amendment language, first time ever seeing that in the body of the document including amendments. Mark Carriker is a young man from Texas with a lovely wife and two children plus a wonderful extended family. Mark’s battle with cancer began last year with an initial operation on his sinus cavity tumor which seemed successful. However, the cancer has metastasized.
Mark was accepted into the experimental drug non-FDA-approved trials he mentions. With his great attitude he’s an excellent candidate for such experiments…but the side effects are pretty awful.

The use of racism in the past was for two distinct purposes. One, when used by blacks was out of fear of injustice, implied or acted out.
The other, which now is in our midst, is for control. Used by democrats, leftist, Marxists, communist, race baiters ect.
If the use were to diminish, which it’s now being exposed as a fraud thanks to President Trump, we would see blacks begin to shed the issue. The “control” is diminishing.
It’s one more example of truth being applied to lies.

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.
Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.
Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.
Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.
We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.
