Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.

For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

    The Highest Expression Of Faith

In Rom. 8:26 we read what our hearts must often confess to be true:

“…We know not what we should pray for as we ought…”

But the Apostle hastens to explain that the Spirit makes intercession for us according to the will of God, adding:

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose” (Rom.8:28).

Believers may not receive whatever they ask for in the darkness of this age, but

“God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work” (II Cor. 9:8).

We may not receive whatever we ask for, but by His grace we may have so much more than this, that the Apostle, in contemplating it, breaks forth in a doxology:

“Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

“Unto Him be glory in the Church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen” (Eph. 3:20,21).

In the light of all this the highest expression of faith today is found in the words of Paul in Phil. 4:6,7:

“Be careful [anxious] for nothing — but in everything — by prayer and supplication — with thanksgiving — let your requests be made known unto God — and…”

    “And” what?

“And whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive”?

    NO!!

“…and the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep [garrison] your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

2Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Love all of these, but his MISSA SOLEMNIS is the one that lifts my heart and soul to the heights. Sir Nikolaus Harnoncourt directed the best ever edition of this with the Arnold Schoenberg Choir and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe back in the early 1990s.

My grandmother raised us on the best of baroque, classical and romance music since we were itty, bitty kids. It stuck with me like glue.

Bach’s Passacaglia and Fugue in C Minor is extraordinarily beautiful, one of the best pipe organ compositions ever.

I bet there are a lot of old music lovers nested here in the tree house.

Petition To Impeach Rashida Tlaib Is Gaining Momentum

    Jan 8, 2019

    https://bigleaguepolitics.com/change-org-petition-to-impeach-rashida-tlaib-is-gaining-momentum/

rabid Leftist Muslim, Michigan Dem congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, is now under “intense scrutiny” for her recent profanity against POTUS…

..she’s also accused of anti-Semitism and falsifying her residency , according to a new Change.org petition petition (link in the article).

over 80,000 have signed the petition, as of 2 days ago.

Tlaib also has strong ties to 2 other rabid anti-Semites : Linda Sarsour and Rasha Mubarak.

Sarsour is a Muslim Brotherhood activist and has called for jihad by Muslims against POTUS while praising 1993 WTC co-conspirator Imam Siraj….who once said that it’s his duty…and “our duty” (as Muslims)…”to replace The US Constitution with the Quran.”

Tlaib, who is well aware of all this, nevertheless invited Sarsour as her guest to the Congressional swearing-in ceremony….wearing their Muslim “robes”.

much more disturbing information and background on this, at the link.

be sure to sign that petition.

    Dealing With Guilty Feelings
    JANUARY 10, 2019

Psalm 32:1-7 1 How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered! 2 How blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit! 3 When I kept silent about my sin, my body wasted away Through my groaning all day long. 4 For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; My vitality was drained away as with the fever heat of summer. Selah. 5 I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I did not hide; I said, I will confess my transgressions to the LORD”; And You forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah. 6 Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to You in a time when You may be found; Surely in a flood of great waters they will not reach him.

7 You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.

Guilt comes from a feeling of responsibility for some wrongdoing. Conviction can result from the Holy Spirit’s efforts to turn us away from sin and guide us to our heavenly Father. But not all guilt stems from ungodly actions.

False guilt, which is not prompted by sin, can surface for a variety of reasons, such as disappointment in one’s own performance, a sense of shame over past events, or criticism from others for unmet expectations. Rejection or a pattern of abuse from childhood can also trigger this emotion. False guilt is a powerful weapon the enemy uses to direct our thoughts away from the Lord.

Whether false or real, the emotion of guilt divides our mind, drains our energy, and creates a sense of insecurity. If we allow it to linger, we can start to have doubts about God’s goodness and love for us. Depression and hopelessness may follow. To cope, some people develop compulsive behaviors in an attempt to replace self-reproach with something pleasurable. Excessive amounts of food, television, internet, shopping, and exercise are common ways people try to push away self-condemning thoughts.

Addressing guilt quickly is important. Acknowledge the emotion to the Lord, and identify the reason behind it. If you’ve violated God’s law, ask His forgiveness, and take steps to change the behavior. If you discover false guilt, confess it and ask God to adjust your thinking to match His. In either case, praise Him because He doesn’t want His children carrying unnecessary burdens and has promised to forgive our sins.

Look for her to push environmental, ‘hate’ and children’s concerns – all prescripted by managers in the background. She’s on her way, she’s about the most viable candidate they have and has the best chance to beat Trump.

Duck Duck Go claims that they do not track search results back to users. I have been using that search engine for about 4 years and have seen no evidence that they track my searches. Objects of my searches do not appear in ads blocks on webpages that I visit, nor do I get spam advertising products or services that I searched.

That being said, the DDG website makes no other claims about their search engine, its algorithms or filters used in prioritizing the order of results of any search. With few exceptions, I have noticed over the past year that searches on any political topic appear to list all of the familiar, leftwing MSM sources at or near the top of the results, with conservative sites far far down the list, if they appear at all.

This is not scientific, just my observations that are supported simply due to the volume of searches that I perform almost every day.

So it is possibe that ranking oif results may be based upon purchased prioritization and or deliberate elevation due to algorithms or filtering. I do not know if amy of that is used, but I haven’t seen an independent review that compares the DDG search engine with Google or Bing or any other search engine.

So “caveat emptor”, or at least, use DDG with awareness.

    YMMV
