NBC Report on Cohen Wiretaps Confirms Prior Information – Mueller Investigation Took Over FBI Counterintelligence Operation…

A report by NBC that Michael Cohen’s phones and email accounts are being “wiretapped” and under surveillance by Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation unit has gained attention today.  However, there should be no real surprise in the reporting.

When the special counsel was initiated and authorized by Rod Rosenstein, there was a transfer of investigative authority from the FBI to Robert Mueller.  This is the underpinning of the “Insurance Policy”, as originally begun via the original FISA surveillance warrant granted in October of 2016.  The only thing that changed was who was conducting the investigation.

The appointment of the Special Counsel merely transferred the ongoing investigation from inside the FBI counterintelligence unit (Page, Strzok, Ohr, Priestap, etc.) to Robert Mueller (Aaron Zelby, Andrew Weissman, etc.).  The ongoing SC (Mueller) investigation is identical in every way, sans the name changed for the participants.  The current Mueller investigation is the same one initiated by the FBI in 2016; that is what is hidden in the redactions of instructions by Rod Rosenstein. (See pdf below):

For some reason people thought the surveillance of the Trump campaign, began under the auspices of an FBI counterintelligence investigation -that began in July 2016, and gained retroactive legal authority in October 2016- ended.  It didn’t.

The appointment of the Special Counsel was then (’17), and is now (’18), all part of the continued surveillance of President Trump and all of the officials associated with the Trump administration.  This was the “small group” plan all along in the event that Donald Trump was to win the election.

Today’s report of the wiretapping of Michael Cohen is nothing more than a discovery of the existence of the ongoing “insurance policy”; started in 2016 as an operation to conduct political surveillance of a campaign; continuing in 2018 as an operation to conduct political surveillance of an administration.

The original 2016 FBI Counterintelligence Operation against Trump never ended.  It still goes on today.  The only thing that changed was the entities conducting the investigation.

The FBI “small group” handed-off their work to Robert Mueller’s team, and the exact same operation continues today.  This is what Peter Strzok previously described as the “insurance policy”.

The “insurance policy” was gaining legal authority via the FISA Court in 2016, to conduct a counterintelligence operation against Donald Trump.  That investigation, the insurance policy, has never ended.   Hence:

(Via NBC) Federal investigators have wiretapped the phone lines of Michael Cohen, the longtime personal lawyer for President Donald Trump who is under investigation for a payment he made to an adult film star who alleged she had an affair with Trump, according to two people with knowledge of the legal proceedings involving Cohen.

It is not clear how long the wiretap has been authorized, but NBC News has learned it was in place in the weeks leading up to the raids on Cohen’s offices, hotel room, and home in early April, according to one person with direct knowledge.

At least one phone call between a phone line associated with Cohen and the White House was intercepted, the person said.

Previously, federal prosecutors in New York have said in court filings that they have conducted covert searches on multiple e-mail accounts maintained by Cohen.  (read more)

The wiretapping would explain all the leaks from the WH. Perhaps the surveillers – the Mueller team and the team that preceded them – have been doing the leaking.

From another story I read tonight, Michael Cohen’s phones were at least “pen registered” in which the “to & from” names are registered, supposedly not the conversation. Even this makes me angry. Why don’t we know who Mueller calls and talks to and his conversations? As Sundance coins so often “Who is watching the Watchmen?”

When does this end, Sundance? How do we end it? Peacefully is looking less and less an option.

The special counsel statute clearly states that it is only for a criminal investigation. It’s not allowed to be used for a counter intelligence investigation. Add it to the list of reasons why the Mueller investigation has no basis in the law.

It tortures the language a little. It was tapped but to record the phone logs, who called whom and when. So what? It’s the same thing because they might be able to interrogate the NSA’s data base that has every call placed anywhere by anybody, any time. It’s so close to ‘wiretapping’ the difference is insignificant, they can still get the recordings of the calls.

What I like about the “Q” stuff is we get to trust a plan that hasn’t even been articulated.

What plan? Let’s hear it so we can determine for ourselves it is viable.

I keep hearing what Sessions is doing. He can’t do anything about the Russia thing. He’s recused. As long as Russia is being investigated, and that was why Caputo was dragged in more than once–DNC, Wikileaks, the hack–Mueller will continue, and there is nothing Sessions can do about it. Sessions lets Rosenstein, a WITNESS to the Comey firing, run the investigation. Since when does a witness run an investigation? Sessions knows better than that, but here we are.

Nobody really knows what Huber is doing except reviewing Horowitz’s work. That’s what we were told openly he is doing, anything else that is added to it is made up stuff, or wishful thinking . If Huber is really investigating something, under a grand jury, fine, but we don’t know, and we can’t prove that. No one needs to prove that Huber is NOT doing more than just reviewing Horowitz’s work. People who say Huber IS doing more have the burden of proof and the same goes for Sessions.

folks not aware of the massive and relentless CONTROLLED OPPOSITION CIA operation under the umbrella of “Anonymous” have been easily lured into “Q-anons”
      scripted mind control.

Q anon is the “POLITICAL” iteration of “Anonymous” which is targeted at “conspiracy” type half awake “truthers”

if one has a shred of a critical brain, and some decent radar working, this is obvious and transparent

an excellent rule of thumb is to run in the opposite direction of anyone identifying themselves as “anon”

Do you even know what “Q” clearance is? It’s a Dept of Energy Clearance
Q Sensitive allow access to Special Nuclear Material (SNM) category 1. An employee with a Q sensitive clearance could have access to nuclear weapons design, manufacture, or use data; disclosure could cause exceptionally grave damage to the nation.

Q Nonsensitive allow access to Special Nuclear Material (SNM) category 2. The higher the SNM category, the more readily the material could be converted to a nuclear explosive device. Categories 1 and 2 require special protection, such as armed guards.

              Dear Lady –

I have long been aware of what a “Q” classification means and entails. Yet – it is good you put it out there for others to know. But . . .

Do you know why “Q” posts?

Can you really decipher what is being said?

Whether or not Q is “leaking” is beyond your scope – sensitive is not quite the same as “classified” – so what you mean to say is unclear. To date, Q has not released anything that is classified, but rather, as does Sundance every day, points us in certain directions as to events, or critical dates.

Contrary to our rather vocal newbie here said down aways, I have yet to advocate a single narrative, save to say that we need patience, and to pay attention to those in the know, such as SD and yes, Q, since many rail on or about the site, but no one has yet refuted its info. Since none of us knows what we don’t yet know, demanding our will be done nonetheless, is a bit of a fruitless effort.

The predictions are uncanny. And before anyone pulls out the joker that pretends to be an ace – “conspiracy theory” – let me remind all that that phrase’s origins are from within the CIA, as regular folks began to question their narratives back in the ’60’s.

We have to start looking at the Mueller SC as a multi dimensional personal attack against PDT. Indeed a real Coup D’etat against a duly elected president. Mueller is coming at Trump from all sides. The DoJ and the FBI have zero allegiance to PDT even though he appointed AG Sessions and Director Wray, both who appear to be MIA. The rank and file of DoJ and FBI are filled with Obama appointees and Clintonistas who are #resisters. They all hate Trump. Mueller will try and get Trump to resign by threatening to indict Ivanka or Jared for some made up process crime. Resign or we take down your family. BigUgly!

Fortunately, Trump has the backing of the US military and general law enforcement, and the support of millions of Americans. The big military parade scheduled for DC this summer, might be the perfect day to have the US Marshall’s to begin delivering arrest warrants for the Obama and Clinton cabal, starting with Robert Mueller.

They got every phone number coming into and going out on Cohen’s phones. You need a warrant to do that. Do you want the FBI knowing every person you call and every person calling you with date and time if you are an attorney? Just because they did not get what was said, makes no difference in the overall plan. The NSA has that, if needed.

          • Lindenlee says:

That was the point of SD’s connection of the dots re: all of the Mueller data collection, (phone calls, emails, etc.) being JUST A CONTINUATION OF THE UNLAWFUL FISA COURT WARRANT, NOT a seperate criminal action that would have required a judge’s issuance of a warrant for PROBABLE CAUSE.

All the “small group” conspirators want us to believe that this ebidence gathering STARTED when Mueller began his investigation, and therefore has legitimacy, andnsucha n investigayion would needma warrant to surveill Cohen. But in fact, Mueller’s investigation is simply just an integral part of the ongoing “insurance policy” action, a continuation of the unlawful and illegitimate spying on the Trump campaign, SO…

The ENTIRE thing is illegitimate, and the cracks are starting to show, the “wiretap” being one of them. I was wondering where Mueller got the warrant for probable cause. Now I am sure there never was such a thing.

Never tried crow cooked in any fashion, and do not aim to start doing so over this. I have counseled patience here a number of times. I have quoted Sundance’s own words for patience; I have put up a few quotes from Q – the parallels are quite astounding. Then again, not really so astounding, if one is really paying atteniton and not reacting to headlines.

“Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.”

Whether Bonaparte really said that or not, it is very much part of warfare at whatever level. Nine gazillion suggestions on every posting about what Donald “should” do, or this person or that, or who’s the rat, etc., etc., etc., should serve to amplify our lack of full knowledge.

Despite the opinions of many, matters are in the ablest of hands. Donald is taking down the DS on the international front – trade agreements – especially with the ChiComs – that gave him much leverage; the Saudis; ISIS (read Armenia into that picture); The “BOOM” in Syria last week, and the missiles on the deep state sites even before – all of which were clear signals to the mullahs in Iran they are nect on his list. Donald as much as said so. Little Kimmy is acting like he, himself, has been released from captivity. I wonder why that is? Tons to know in that direction!

    Hmmmm . . .

The IG has the entire DS in a full dither. They (DS) know full well who has turned, and who is about to do so. Sundance is to be commended highly for taking the time to explain that, and way before anyone but Q knew what was happening. Both have counseled patience. I repeat Sundance’s words from another posting today:

“The OIG review of the DOJ and FBI conduct has taken a long time; and with good reason. The scale of the misconduct is staggering.”

He followed that with a number of videos to show us just how much so!

And contrary to the contention of many, Jeff Beau used his recusal to get all the other bad actors identified and set up, through John Huber. Donald is the main thrust of the battle – internationally, and as our President. Huber and Horowitz have his flanks. Q is right that the DS keeps falling for Donald’s moves, as he said “every single time” – and SD is showing us just how.

So – I am well-stocked with popcorn, my fave brews, and some fine-assed Texas rib-eyes. I am simply enjoying the show. I remember the days of my past when I ranted and raved, but had zero hope. But now – I am watching how “winning is done” – with hope being fulfilled day-by-day.

I like it – a lot! My suggestions are not better, nor are those of any commenter. Some get my point. But the bottom line is this – no matter what you think or feel at whatever level of rage . . .

It will not happen your way nor mine, but in the way of the man we placed there to actually make it happen. So . . .

    Patience, friends.

An important point for those frustrated by the lack of action. If you look at the big picture here, the country is going through a seismic shift back towards the founding principles. Moving forward, transparency will reign supreme. You don’t dismantle a century of corruption in one year. What we are seeing now are the remnants of a fundamentally flawed and corrupt institution clawing at the walls as they are exposed to the light.

Government agencies that the founders did not know would exist had, over decades, overtaken constitutionally enacted oversight. The pendulum has now begun to swing to the other side. A return to the rule of law, to constitutional oversight, transparency. The public will demand it. There is no stopping the train now. It is going to take time to get up to speed, but we are witnessing a sea change in american politics. Trumps election may very well be the best thing that has happened to this country in the past 70 years.

I don’t know about you guys, but I tend to think things happen for a reason. While we are upset with the fraudulent Clinton investigation, and subsequent sham investigation of the president, we have to look at the bigger picture. The corrupt Clinton investigation which led to her exoneration for clear criminal violations is what set President Trump up to win. Hillary was the perfect opponent for President Trump. Without her, he may not have become President. She was the most corrupt and least likeable presidential candidate of my lifetime.

With that being said, keep in mind that the most important thing Trumps election has done is to expose. We won’t forget what we’ve seen. Things are different now.

    • “An important point for those frustrated by the lack of action. If you look at the big picture here, the country is going through a seismic shift back towards the founding principles.”

      i disagree Ben, but a great post…

i believe EVERYTHING we’re seeing is enclosed in the globalist psychopath swamp mind control scripted narrative – it’s a closed loop now…the Truman Show – thanks in great part to the internet, dopey social media, and centuries of INDOCTRINATION that has led American taxpayer citizens to this point of absolute hypnosis.
The PRIMARY indoctrination that Americans of EVERY partisan flavor have received since birth from their family, friends and ESPECIALLY their education, is that they actually have CHOICE, AND that they KNOW what is going on. This breeds extremely PRIDEFUL people who consider themselves an important part of the process – any suggestion to the contrary is met with indignation and “cognitive dissonance” (google it ;O)

The main thing that most are completely unaware of is that the “SWAMP” has been crafting and engineering our “reality” since 1776 and before, and their agendas and narratives OFTEN last for decades and much longer….

Found you in the bin…. 😦

      • So you’re saying that Trump is a potted plant too, and just a part of the globalist programming brought to us via tell lie vision and of course, twitter…

Got it. Time will tell, and it won’t be much longer before it does.

        Enjoy the show.

        • I’m saying that that is a possibility that regular shmoe citizens like ourselves need to consider – it would certainly explain much of the insanity we’re being forced to endure

          not a potted plant – selected…complicit

or not…who knows? none of us EVER will really, so all we can do is endlessly speculate

listen, i like Donald Trump – a LOT…actually i love the guy – but those are just my PERSONAL feelings / i can’t claim to KNOW the globalist sphere that he inhabits or what role he may be playing…that is information that IMO none of us will ever know

but i’m no ideologue (just like Trump) and have no party affiliation (just like Trump ;O)

personally, i would advocate for living in PARALLEL with the globalist narrative, as opposed to in contention with it, None of us will ever have an IOTA of influence in changing any of it, so – live the strongest life that you can, and take care of the people you love…what else is there?

You are dealing with people who get away with torturing and murdering a man in his single jail cell in the Federal Transfer Facility in Oklahoma City, Kenneth Trentadue. That is with what you are dealing. This is hardly any kind of entertainment, a show of some kind. These people mean business and if institutions don’t stop them the “show” will be over for all of us. Mueller does what he does, 4 AM search warrants, pen registers, and bankrupting Michael Caputo.

          We get to be patient.

          I see.

          • Yes, we “get” to be patient while we aren’t being starved to death or shot in firing squads, gassed in showers, etc…

We NEED to be patient, I’ve been waiting pretty much my entire adult life for The Reckoning. Maybe it’s here and will take a couple/three years to culminate. There are over 7 billion people on the planet and millions of evil globalists/minions connected to OUR situation.

True and LASTING corrections will not happen “overnight”. We are a society of instant gratification types these days. Not this time…

Well, I have cooled off. It took a bit of time, supper, and a nap. However, I am finished with the Sessions / Rosenstein / Mueller, leaks, FISA warrants, IG delayed report, no indictments… on any charges. I am done with keeping DOJ lawyers that worked for Obama. Time to get the US Marshalls to secure the DOJ building and walk the perps out. Including Sessions.

It is time to get someone was put in the DOJ that will get the wheels of Nemesis moving.

Insofar as documents, Israel had tones smuggled out of Iran. It seems the DOJ is closer and not as heavily guarded.

“Including Sessions” is the strongest part of your post.
The Rule of Law means the application of the Law.
The Application of the Law requires Indictments under the Law.
Indictments not made are the Obstruction of the Rule of Law.
This is Obstruction of Justice — and absent Indictments, Sessions is Guilty by definition.
Absent Indictments, Sessions is complicit in the Conspiracy–a Felon.

A minor but significant point about the Swarmy Daniels scenario is that the fact the woman remains alive is significant evidence that there is no Russian collusion and Trump is not Russia’s agent ……because the Russian mob or some other Russian operative would have killed Swarmy Daniels *immediately* when she first came forward trying to extort money or blackmail or embarrass Trump …..the Russians would have *immediately* silenced her forever. There would have been no “warning” by a stranger in a parking lot…..there would have been a visit by the coroner to autopsy Swarmy Daniels because she would be very dead if Russians were involved as “friends” of Trump, because the Russians would protect their investment leaving no loose ends about that.

“For some reason people thought the surveillance of the Trump campaign, began under the auspices of an FBI counterintelligence investigation -that began in July 2016”

This is the one thing I believe Sundance has wrong. The date: July 2016. The same date that for some reason the FBI were desperate for Nunes to include in his memo.

There is fair evidence that surveillance of the Trump campaign became well before July 2016.

    – First we have Admiral Rogers trying to get contractor access to the NSA database shut down in early 2016. This means FISA abuse was detected before this point.

    – Then we have Nellie Ohr beginning work for Fusion GPS in April 2016. She’s there to receive information from Bruce Ohr still doing 702 searches from within DOJ to get around Rogers’ contractor access ban.

    – Then we have indications that surveillance was already in place at Trump Tower prior to Natalia Veselnitskaya’s failed meeting on 9 June 2016. How else would they have known about the handshake with Ivanka?

I believe that July 2016 is offered as the start date because this is when they start shopping around for an FISA warrant to retrospectively justify previous spying. Under FISA rules, spying can occur for up to 12 months before a warrant is applied for. My best guess is the spying began as soon as Trump won the nomination.

“Giuliani, who joined President Trump’s personal legal team about two weeks ago, predicted that Trump would share his anger at the matter, though he said he had not yet spoken to the president about it.

When he does so, Giuliani predicted, “He is going to say to me, ‘Isn’t there an attorney-client privilege?’ And I am going to tell him, ‘No, the Department of Justice seems to want to trample all over the Constitution of the United States.’ ”

Welp, I’ve been trying to follow and figure out Q the last month or so. It’s kinda fascinating, I’ll admit, imagining how certain things can fit together in ones own mind in such a way as one would like them to be in the first place, plus, I’ve always loved a good riddle.

I certainly hope there is such a “plan” in place but at some point we’re going to have to come to terms with what’s really taking place.
I’ll eventually have to accept that Mueller was never recruited by President Trump to investigate all them and that this is some some kinda 11D underwater backwards blindfolded super chess move ass kicking party.

Gone is any disillusionment that we’re not in for a long, drawn out battle to keep our Constitutional Republic. God Given Rights or Bust! #ssots!!

It is now, after several hours of traipsing around here, that jlf is completely clueless regarding Q. Driller – if you have been following Q for a month and cannot make the connections – I am at a loss for words! Sundance has filled in so many of the blanks, but still, everyone wants to insist on their own solution as “the solution.”

Yeah that’ll work. Except it isn’t.

  29. Just a thought: What if the Rosenstein original meeting with Sessions about getting rid of Comey was the 1st step in the Trump setup.
    2. Rosenstein writes the letter.
    3. Comey takes notes.
    4. Comey fired
    5. Comey leaks memos
    6. Rosenstein, for Comey, approved the Special Counsel

Rosenstein, Comey, and Mueller started planning way beforehand.

I am not sure how to find my older posts/comments. I am guessing at least 1 week ago(maybe 2) I posted an article link where it was reported that Cohen’s phones had been tapped and also that they had all his text messages. That article said there had been NO calls or texts between Cohen and the White House. Whoever wrote that article knew this info way before today.

This means that THEY DID NOT quickly correct this, my guess is that article is still out there, and has been since I posted it.

    • Stormyeyes says:

It was days after the FBI raid, which I think was the 9th or 10th of April. It clearly said they had been listening into his calls/or wiretapping. No some watered down version of that.

TY I tried that. Didn’t work for me. I tried several ways. Thanks anyway. My point was that this was released very soon after the raid, it said WIRETAPPED, and I DO NOT BELEIVE THEY AREN’T LISTENING NOW

What all are missing is the “Great Game” that has been in play for more than a hundred years.
You all claim to know that your good Patriots.
And, Understand how the liberals are playing.
But, There is a point larger than life that most don’t know or have forgotten.
The IC is far more than the FBI, DOJ, The CIA Or the NSA.
There are also “Think Tanks’ That are in on the game as well.
The Now defunct PNAC which came out of the Brookings Institute and others.
Where some of the minds of what you think you know is coming from them.
Is anyone even aware of just how and what DJT has done and is doing really?
Do you know just how He and He alone put an end to they’re ever getting their WW3?
How many parrots does it take to sing a song that says nothing.
Do you even know how the Trade reps are actually dissolving that agenda that was coming?
What country were clowns setting up to incorporate Geneva, Rome and London as the world capitol. Have you forgotten the players that started the mess around the world.
Have you ever heard of “ASTANA”? And the man that was being trumpeted as world leader?
And, Before you wake-up one day and find yourself completely NEO-CONNED.
Maybe you should READ something that gives you a deeper understanding of just why.
Your feeling privy to particulars that keep you distracted from what is actually happening in this world. And, Then maybe just maybe You’ll understand your PRESIDENT that much better.
Cause you will not be concentrating on the small swamp of D.C. but on the world Swamp.
And actually be in step with your PRESIDENT.
As for me. Well I’m done here.
Sundance is good. But being connected to a bigger think tank through LawFare.
    I cannot follow.
    Best wishes to all.

If there is anyone at CTH that still believes Sessions and/or Rosenstein are White Hats, then there is nothing that can be done to help you. You deny what you see, you reject what you hear, and you renounce that which is plainly obvious. Perhaps you should listen closely to what PDJT is saying. He is genuinely ashamed by the DOJ and FBI. In his words, “they are a disgrace.”

This is not at all surprising. Is it quite possible that Mueller is totally running the FBI? Definitely is some conspiracy going on in the FBI.
