Report Confirms MGM Corp. Controlled Ellen Degeneres Interview With Mandalay Bay Witnesses…

This certainly doesn’t come as a surprise given the relationship between Ellen Degeneres and the hotel and casino industry.  However, the Daily Mail is confirming the parent company of Mandalay Bay, MGM Inc., controlled the one-and-only media appearance during a well scripted presentation of Jesus “Jose” Campos for television yesterday.

(Via Daily Mail) Mandalay Bay shooting hero Jesus Campos was pressured into giving his only interview to Ellen DeGeneres because the giant company that owns the Las Vegas casino feared he would spill the beans about the shooting timeline if he was grilled by real journalists, has learned exclusively.

MGM is worried that families of the 58 people murdered as well as many of the 546 injured in the Mandalay Bay massacre will launch lawsuits potentially worth billions of dollars against the company, sources tell

And they thought Campos might not keep his story straight under the pressure of the TV lights and tough questioning.

That is why Campos, 25, appeared on a daytime chat show hosted by a fast-talking, dancing comedienne, rather than take questions from TV hardhitters such as Fox News’ Sean Hannity, NBC News or ABC News.

‘MGM was behind the decision to call off all the interviews and did a deal with Ellen, knowing she would not play hardball on the timeline as long as she had the exclusive,’ a TV insider told (read more)

STAKEHOLDERS: Las Vegas, almost entirely dependent on tourism, needs to present an image of safety and security. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police need to present an image of competency and security control. Mandalay Bay, the MGM corporation and the larger hotel and casino industry, need to reduce any culpability and liability; as well as portray their action as prudent and secure before the attack, and competent in the aftermath. Federal crisis management with direct influence over investigative authorities (FBI and DHS) need to portray an impression of national security and control.

Ellen Degeneres, an insider within the entertainment industry, and a stakeholder in the outcome, was simply a friendly venue to control this exclusive interview.

Las Vegas investigative authorities (LVMPD and FBI) have stated they will provide no additional press conferences or information on the worst mass shooting in U.S. history.

    Perhaps, not this time.
If Campos be an illegal, as you alluded to in a previous post, then the implication that the Mandalay Bay staff is riddled with illegals, and these illegals, rather than say something after witnessing the gringo carting his weaponry up the service elevator, chose to remain silent, not risking their illegal status.
MGM stock s a screaming short sale.

The feds will push to keep a lid on serious investigations; and MGM is pushing to keep the lid on discovery in any civil proceedings…………………….

This will be worse than the JFK – Warren Commission fiasco. At least there was a serious fact finding effort.

I seem unable to post this as one longer comment, so I’ll try breaking it up. This is part 1 of 2.

About a week after the shooting, I heard (on FBN or FNC) a retired LVMPD officer, with connections to current officers, say that at around 10 pm two officers were IN THE MB working a trespasser charge (which raises other questions for me) when the call came in for an active shooter at the concert.

However, according to him, they LEFT THE MB to go to the concert when the shooter call came in because they didn’t know it was in the MB. He said that had they known the shooter was at the MB, they could have immediately engaged, instead they actually left the building.

That’s interesting because I’m remembering a detail which I forgot. I was checking for any tweets happening during the crisis late that night and one worker had told a friend who then tweeted, that hotel workers had been ushered to the basement of Mandalay during the emergency. That’s when my antennae went up on the event. In hindsight, Mandalay was keeping all witnesses sequestered somewhere I would find unsafe if there was a shooter and no firearm protection.

Something’s really wrong with posting. I’ll try again with part 2 of 2.
This is a huge problem in the timeline cover up, which has gone unreported. It real begs the question of when were the LVMPD notified the shooter was in the MB and when did they get the info out to the officers on the street.
It would appear, based on this officer’s LVMPD sources, that a report of the shooter was not simultaneous with the shooter’s location. But if Campos called right away and reported both shots and the location, how & why could those two facts not be broadcast together?

don’t see a problem with any of this. “Serious” reporters???? Really? They would just attack this guy and the Attorneys for Mandalay Bay are doing the right thing.

Here’s an interesting view from the Foundation Room from within the Mandalay bay Hotel. I’m not sure what floor this is but you can here the people video taping trying to figure out where the gunfire is coming from…

Here’s an interesting look at the 32nd floor window at night after the shooting. If you want to see just that portion of the video go to the 2:19 mark.

So, not only are they not going to have press conferences but they’re not going to release ANY information on the progress of the investigation? Is this case closed? How is this acceptable? I feel like we’re living in 1984 or Brazil (the movies).
