European Commissioner the Wall Street Journal Cited Says Story Entirely False…

See how that horse-pucky news works? European Commission’s Miguel Arias Canete denies ever telling the Wall Street Journal that the U.S. was changing the Trump administration position on Paris Climate Treaty.

(Via Reuters) […] The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump administration officials said the United States would not pull out of the agreement and had offered to re-engage in the deal, citing the European Commission’s Miguel Arias Canete.

A Commission spokeswoman told Reuters at the Montreal gathering that Canete – commissioner for climate action and energy – had not said the United States had changed its position on withdrawing from the deal. The White House said that the report was inaccurate.

“There has been no change in the United States’ position on the Paris agreement,” said White House spokeswoman Lindsay Walters. “As the President has made abundantly clear, the United States is withdrawing unless we can re-enter on terms that are more favorable to our country.” (read more)

It was not a ‘ historical legend ‘ It was the CONGRESSIONAL RECORD of 1917!
Mr. CALLAWAY: Mr. Chairman, I ask unanimous consent to insert in the Record a statement that I have of how the newspapers of this country have been handled by the munitions manufacturers…..
Mr. CALLAWAY: Mr. Chairman, under unanimous consent, I insert into the Record at this point a statement showing the newspaper combination, which explains their activity in the war matter, just discussed by the gentleman from Pennsylvania [Mr. MOORE]:

“In March, 1915, the J.P. Morgan interests, the steel, ship building and powder interests and their subsidiary organizations, got together 12 men high up in the newspaper world and employed them to select the most influential newspapers in the United States and sufficient number of them to control generally the policy of the daily press in the United States.

“These 12 men worked the problems out by selecting 179 newspapers, and then began, by an elimination process, to retain only those necessary for the purpose of controlling the general policy of the daily press throughout the country. They found it was only necessary to purchase the control of 25 of the greatest papers. The 25 papers were agreed upon; emissaries were sent to purchase the policy, national and international, of these papers; an agreement was reached; the policy of the papers was bought, to be paid for by the month; an editor was furnished for each paper to properly supervise and edit information regarding the questions of preparedness, militarism, financial policies and other things of national and international nature considered vital to the interests of the purchasers.[…] “

Breitbart couldn’t catch a break on this one by they end the “WH claim” with “Trump will travel to the United Nations Monday for a series of meetings at the UN, and a speech at the General Assembly on Tuesday. The UN has been particularly opposed to the U.S. withdrawal, and Trump is likely to face pressure to change his mind on the deal while he is in New York.” and next you know, the Breitbart haters are burning their hats again..the ones they never owned in the first place. Reading the comments there is like reading a lefty rag. Now I know where those easy pickings came from who attended Charlottesville handed two torches each while the rest were photoshopped in.

    • dayallaxeded says:

Yep, that’s my question–why haven’t the reporter and editor responsible for the outright lying article been publicly reprimanded or fired? If there are no consequences for bad behavior, it will continue. Me not buying their stupid waste of wood fiber isn’t quite enough, though I’m continuing to try to do my part. I also take them from hotel lobbies when I need news print for a pet cage liner or fire starter–that way, I don’t buy them and their loss-leader “complementary copy” distribution channel dead ends, too.

  19. There can be no favourable deals in this UN scam called Climate Change. The UN has been pushing this scam to redistribute wealth from rich nations to Third World nations who make up most of the UN numbers.
The climate isn’t being changed by humans, there will be no climate catastrophe, Carbon Dioxide is not a pollutant like carbon and it has a tiny affect on the climate.
Any deal….ANY DEAL in this scam is a bad deal….PERIOD.

Well, I thought I had a brilliant idea: Make the property purchase a joint effort of the public as a whole. Allow people to buy a single square foot of the place, without the right to actually occupy it of course, and post a giant plaque or whatever with the names of all the “owners”. Use the property for the public good in some way, “donated” in effect by the people of America.

That would be pretty cool… but there’s just one problem: People like ME couldn’t get in on the fun. Why? Well, because the figures I just looked up says the “average” property in Manhattan is going for between $2K and $5K… PER SQUARE FOOT! And I’m sure that particular property would be MUCH higher. So even buying a measly one square foot could cost $10K or more.

Back to the drawing board. 🙂

What the MSM doesn’t realize is that this stuff didn’t work during the campaign. They just beating a dead horse. War is deception. What the WSJ is actually saying is that President Trump already pulled out of the climate deal. My guess is this will be the replacement for muh Russia and soon he’s a white supremacist narrative. This is just the beginning people. We didn’t fall for it during the campaign and we shouldn’t fall for it now.

The media takes advantage of the ignorance of the general public.
The headline stories are what the general public SEES, and therefore BELIEVES.
Corrections, if they are made at all, are made at a later date, with only a small mention which the general public may not even see.
    This is by design.
    The damage is done.
We must remain vigilant, and continue to hold the guilty accountable, rapidly, with as much visibility to the general public as possible. This is why the “comments” sections of online media sites it Is so important.
    The awakening is growing.

I have had my inoculation against MSM Trump hate speech lies. As soon as I read the story on ‘Watts Up With That’ and saw the source (WSJ) I knew it was MSM intending to make life as miserable and difficult for Trump supporters as possible.

Turn off the Government $ tap to the MSM….

  34. Travis McGee says:

As long as these stories get headlines and pundits talking about them they’ll keep writing them. Hardly anybody does any investigation to verify stories. They just regurgitate for clicks and to be invited onto a talk show or panel or whatever fits the agenda of the day. This stuff isn’t new but is still irritating and needs to be called out. The media is part of the Swamp and people seem to forget that. They get all wee-weed up over this stuff for nothing.

  35. Kerry Gimbel says:

Thank goodness Trump tweets. It is a great garbage filter.

  36. Ken Watson says:

There is nothing greener than a good whiff of CO2. When levels were down nearer 300 ppm we were close to the point where much photosynthesis stops. That would have been helpful, right? More CO2 means higher crop yields, more wild plant growth; more of everything everyone claims to want. Does it mean higher temps? Negative. Higher temps bring higher CO2 levels historically. One is never sure how much detail Trump concerns himself with. It always sounds like he opposes Paris because it is one-sided, which it is. But Global Warming is crap from top to tail. There was a slight warming trend in the late eighties that followed, hmm, a slight cooling trend (which brought us the Global Cooling scare). In addition to being conceptually flawed, Paris is also absurdly drafted. Read the actual language. It DEMANDS nearly nothing. Even its suggestions are terminally vague. So in or out makes little difference. Any Leftist could make it sound like it requires or prohibits ANYTHING, which was the point. It also means that any non-Leftist could make it require or prohibit not one damn thing. That would also be fun. As always, The Donald keeps his options operational.

  37. Robert W. says:

When are the lawsuits and gigantic penalties against news agencies going to be? That’s what I want to know. We have seen this fraud business in action for years. When will the US courts finally put an end to the defrauding of the American people every single week with blatant lies? Sick of it….
