Thursday March 9th – Open Thread

Tomb of the Unknown ChristmasOur Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.

For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

    Sometimes judges get things right.

Kendrick Morris got a re-sentencing hearing thanks to the Supreme Court ruling that young offenders should get lighter sentences. He was hoping his 65 year sentence would be cut due to his age when the crime was committed. Morris was only 16 when he raped a woman outside of a Florida library and crushed her skull.

Evidently the presiding judge took a dim view of the Supreme Court’s ruling that young offenders should get lighter sentences. Now instead of 65 years, Morris is going to do life.

Kendrick Morris’ DNA has linked him to another rape that occurred in 2007 when he was just 15, that victim was 62.

The victim in the 2008 rape was 18, and she was left blind and paralyzed.

.@seanhannity stop interrupting your guests. Just stop. My God it’s terrible. Try listening 80% more and ZIP IT !!

Wow, I totally agree. I like Sean and all. I think his heart is in the right place and I don’t disagree with his views on too much. But, OMG I agree that he talks way too much, and interjects too much on people. It is like a broken engine. Every time the guest gets revved up to make a point, Sean jumps in to choke the momentum and lose the point the guest was trying to get to.

I actually DVR skip forward 30 seconds after every guest point to get skip Sean. I’ve been doing it for years. Usually it takes two skips to get back to the guest; sometimes three .. a minute and a half.

The other person who is guilty of this to a lesser extent is Alex Jones. But I believe he is aware of it and working on improving because he says: “now I’m gonna shut up and let my guest have the floor” even though he does still interrupt.

I guess the point is, the guest is the expert. They are the invited, educated opinion the viewer is interested in hearing from. The host is there to ask a question then ZIP IT!! as Sundance says.

Not only does he interrupt, but he asks leading questions…after he’s framed the issue for an answer he’s looking for.
I agree, I think he has a good heart, but he’s too invested in what he wants out there…I really can’t watch him…even though I only see him here on CTH.

Maybe some have you have seen ads from the ACLU for their new resistance training. Keen eyes spotted the resemblance of their ad to one for Otpor! which was a resistance movement in Serbia.

Guess who is behind it all– and this post lists a bunch of fellow travelers including our very own revolutionary, John McCain. Lots of good links.

  11. Some things that Barack Obama said in this video don’t align with reality or even with things he’s since spoken. IMO much of what the public believes they know about Obama is false because he’s a fabricated character.

I found this when looking for info about the Dusseldorf axe attack. I’m waiting for this to be an issue here in the US. You know it’s going to happen sooner or later.

Jordan on Wednesday said an Israeli bill limiting the use of loudspeakers by Muslim mosques was “discriminatory” and “violates Israel’s obligations under international human rights” as well as various charters and international conventions. […] Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to push forward with the legislation, saying “All Israeli citizens — Jews, Muslims and Christians alike — have a right to sleep in peace. We will move forward with the legislation, as is the practice in many nations around the world.” The bill will limit the time of day and volume that mosques can use for their traditional calls to prayer, addressing a longstanding complaint of some who live near Arab locales. […] During the vote on the so-called “Muezzin Bill,” Joint (Arab) List MK Ayman Odeh described the measure as an attack on Israel’s Arab citizens. “This is an offensive against the Arab public, against the presence of Arabs [in Israel], against the Arabic language and against our existence in the region,” Odeh said. “The sound of the muezzin predated the racists and will exist after the racists.” Odeh was later ejected from the plenum for tearing up a copy of the proposed legislation, along with fellow Joint List MK Masud Ganaim. Despite having ripped up a copy of the bill at the podium, Joint List MK Ahmad Tibi was not removed from the session. “Islam is stronger than all of you,” he shouted at Jewish MKs from the podium. MK Jamal Zahalka, also of the Joint List, decried the bill as “a declaration of war on Islam.”

    lilbirdee12’s prayer:

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.

We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.

In Jesus name, we pray. Amen
