The Mysterious FBI Sunday Document Dump #5 and The “Missing” Clinton Seagate Hard Drive…

update-1Update to clarify the context of the FBI release from Katica, the internet researcher who discovered the documents:

(Via Katica) Please keep in mind that this release was not a Sunday doc dump. It is still not on the FBI Vault site. https://vault.fbi.gov/hillary-r.-clinton  And the FBI Vault Twitter account has not Tweeted it out. https://twitter.com/FBIRecordsVault  Nor has the FBI released a statement on it. I imagine they are freaking out right about now. I’m probably on a list for sure now and it isn’t for employment.

The document was only accessible from my archive.is link. Now that it has been shared a million or more times (lol) it is becoming searchable on Google. We have no idea if/when they were going to release it. The FBI has made no mention of the document as of yet either. I do hope that a news site does an article on that aspect of it.

comey-2As many of you are aware the FBI mysteriously dumped 300 pages of investigative material in an unusual Sunday evening upload.  For the sake of brevity we are calling it “a release”.

The timing and content of the FBI release are curious and a few people are attempting to understand what’s going on.

It has taken us a full day to look over the #5 release and scour it for information. There’s some rather interesting findings.

What follows below may possibly indicate a motive, and might also outline an internal effort within the FBI to push forward: a.) action by President Obama on behalf of Hillary Clinton, vis-a-vis a pardon; or, b.) action by the incoming administration to ensure  criminal charges.

Most of the MSM attention, scant though it is, has focused on the last few pages of the latest document release (pgs 295-299) which highlight specific evidence that Hillary Clinton was passing on classified information, via email, to Sidney Blumenthal.

Watch this interview with Lou Dobbs last night and Judge Andrew Napolitano:

In addition to the Sidney Blumenthal angle, the question posed by Lou Dobbs about FBI motive for uploading the documents is a dangling participle remaining from the discussion. However, within the release on Page #283 there’s an important discovery which may answer that question.

Bear with me, as I try to explain a complex issue.

As outlined by the research group behind the Thompson Timeline, there’s always been a question about a missing “Seagate Hard drive“.

March 2009—June 2011:An external hard drive backs up the data on Clinton’s private server, but it is unclear what happens to it or its replacement.

When Clinton’s first server is upgraded with a new server in March 2009, a Seagate external hard drive is attached to the server to store back-up copies of all of its data.

Bryan Pagliano, who manages the server at the time, will later tell the FBI that daily changes are backed up onto the hard drive every day, and a complete back-up is made once a week. As space on the hard drive runs out, backups are deleted on a “first in, first out” basis.

This continues until June 2011. That month, Pagliano travels from Washington, DC, where he works in the State Department, and goes to where the server is, in Chappaqua, New York. Pagliano replaces the Seagate external hard drive with a Cisco Network Attached Storage (NAS) device, also to store backups of the server.

[…]  It is unclear what becomes of either back-up device or the data they contained. The FBI’s September 2016 final report on the Clinton email investigation will only mention: “The FBI was unable to forensically determine how frequently the NAS captured backups of the Pagliano Server.”

But the report will also complain about the “FBI’s inability to recover all server equipment,” and there will be no mention of any data recovered from either back-up device.

[…] Also in September 2016, Justin Cooper, who helped Pagliano manage the server, will be asked about these hard drives at a Congressional hearing. He will say he only heard about them from reading the FBI final report. (link)

Please re-read that excerpt a few times, or go to the original source to read the full article.

[Research Note: Not trying to be a conspiracy theorist, but the actual govt link to the FBI report -pdf attached to the information described above in the Thompson Timeline- is now dead (see here).  Fortunately, CTH always uploads these sensitive releases to alternate pdf hosting on SCRIBD.  So, we are able to go back and look at information independently.]

The Final Report” – When the original 47 page FBI investigative outline, immediately following the James Comey decision not to prosecute, was released there was a section about hardware retrieved by the FBI only AFTER they initially gained access to the server.

seagate-3

(Page #7 – FBI Release #1 Initial Investigative Report)

It should be alarming on it’s own that Clinton Lawyers didn’t tell FBI investigators of their volition they held additional email data storage devices.  The Clintons’, through their attorneys, gave the FBI the server in August 2015 – and not any additional data hardware until the FBI forensic investigation discovered there was additional hardware used.

Two months later, when confronted with that FBI forensic discovery, the Clinton’s, again through their lawyers, released more storage hardware.  This is where the Seagate Hard Drive comes in.

On page #5 of the First Investigative FBI report the Seagate Hard Drive is mentioned:

seagate-2-clinton-email

(Page #5 Link)

However, it should be noted that “footnote #58” assigned to the Seagate Hard Drive as mentioned, along with all other footnotes in the original FBI final report, IS REDACTED as released.

To summarize so far:  The original September FBI final report, used by FBI Director Comey to justify his non finding of illegality, outlined mobile data storage devices -connected to the Clinton email set up- that were not voluntarily turned over to the FBI until evidence of their existence was determined by forensic examination.  AND the FBI reporting of those devices was opaquely revealed, with details redacted, in the final report itself.

Now we fast forward to last Sunday’s mysterious 300 page FBI release.

Along with 200+ pages of “Notice to Preserve Evidence” documentation, we find numerous pages outlining actual physical evidence retrieved.   Within those pages we find the following:

seagate-1-clinton-email

(Page #283 FBI Investigative Release #5)

There it is.  The mysterious missing Seagate Hard Drive appears; along with dozens of more exhibits of computers, servers, lap tops, thumb drives and portable storage devices gathered by the FBI and held as physical evidence.

The FBI has these devices in their custody.  They are not “missing“.

So why is this important?   Again, remember the original question: “what’s the motive behind the latest release/upload“?…

A reasonable case can be made that internal elements within the FBI are intentionally showing how much evidence there is to support the case against Hillary Clinton.  Evidence that was clearly never revealed as part of the original James Comey final public report.

Additionally, the questions expand:  Was Comey aware of that evidence? or was Comey’s determination and decision isolated away from that evidence by internal political elements favorable to the Clintons, who hid -albeit openly- some of the investigative material?

Continuing: Are there FBI White Hats beaconing to incoming administration?  ….and/or simultaneously notifying FBI Director Comey of additional knowledge they will not allow to remain hidden? ….and adding to that evidence file they release specific aspects proving Sidney Blumenthal was sent classified information to ensure the latest release cannot simply be brushed aside.

If I were a betting person, I’d say that’s the most likely scenario.  If that wasn’t the motive for this release there would have been no need for redactions -of this specific information- in the original FBI final report.

Essentially, if you connect these now visible dots, this mysterious release #5 is the story behind the redactions in the original September 2nd Comey final report.

Some may argue an alternate motive might be to force the hand of Obama to grant a pardon for Secretary Clinton.  However, in the larger scheme of things that’s a moot point because a pardon implies the presence of guilt.

Accepting the way this has been done, it just doesn’t look like a release to force the hand of President Obama.  Again, this release is not a public records release announced by the FBI.  The ‘forced pardon’ motive/approach could much more easily be undertaken with a simple phone call to a back channel at the White House.

My hunch is, this latest release could be just as much news to FBI Director Comey as it is to us.

We already know the Clintons were spreading around big cash in an attempt to thwart the FBI’s investigation into her activities as Secy of State. The $600K documented payoff disguised as a political contribution to the wife of the lead FBI investigator is evidence of that.

But we also know that real criminal organizations operating outside the law NEVER WRITE DOWN their intended actions. If this universal axiom holds true in this instance, we may now only be aware of 5-10% of their actual activities.

Mickey Wasp makes sense. Release the info related to the existence of Seagate Drive so that drive cannot be destroyed prior to new administration. On Drudge today, Assange is charging that the Obama administration are busily destroying records — perhaps a rogue white hat released the info knowing the shredding party was about to begin on Monday. Letting it out in the middle of a football game might make it more difficult for those who might exact retribution to know who “leaked” or distributed the info.

      Or

The Russians might have done it

Some questions I’ve not seen asked –

Is there a law that can be used that only requires proof of a lie, AND, does not require proof of intent, that can convict Clinton/Clintons? Intent is hard to pin on any one person; they all had intent.

If the above answer is yes, will that law be applicable to the Clinton Foundation?

If the answer to the previous two questions is yes, will that law specifically NOT implicate Obama and McConnell, AND NOT be applicable to the Libya/Benghazi investigation?

    Heavy thinking.

Advice to current/future IT professionals – Never, NEVER perform any, ANY function without having your instructions in writing. Invest in Help Desk software, and modify it to fit your organization’s purposes and needs (and use it). Do everything legally. And only hire honest, moral people. All tough to do, especially simultaneously.

As to answers – i have none.

I still honestly do not see Hillary getting a pardon. We’ll find out if I’m wrong in 10 days, but I don’t see what motivation Obama would have for doing so, or if she even wants a pardon. I also suspect that any real investigation into the Clintons going forward, as well as any prosecutions, will be aimed at the Clinton Foundation and not necessarily the Clintons themselves.

Sure, I’d like to see those people in prison where they belong. But the big monster is the foundation. It’s a global scam of epic proportions that seems to have its tentacles into everything. If you want to drain the swamp, it’s a good place to start. Think about how many corrupt politicians, lobbyists, globalist financiers, and foreign interties are involved in it or connected to it.

Best Case — Hillary is tried for disclosing national security secrets (?treason) as sec state, and if convicted, sentence commuted based upon her complete and total withdrawal from any contact with government or government agencies under penalty of imprisonment. That would shut down the Clinton Foundation as the Clintons would have nothing to sell foreign entities and the USA wouldn’t have to suffer the indignity of having a former First Lady in the lockup.

I disagree. Best case — HIllary, Bill, Chelsea, Obama and all other guilty parties go to jail. A much worse indignity is having known criminals running lose because they are “above the law.”

Also, it amazes me that people think letting these crooks go will either a) get rid of them or b) stop them from continuing their criminal activity. All this does is send them in another direction with another organization to do the same criminal activity (or worse) at a later date. How about we NOT kick this can down the road–LOCK THEM UP!

yy4u, I understand the sentiment about indignity. I do, however, think it best for Hillary to simply off herself. Save everybody time and trouble waiting for trials and/or for her to die of whatever ailment afflicts her.

If she is not indicted on something, she will surely run for office again, somewhere for something. As Donald Trump said in the final debate, she doesn’t quit (he meant, of course, in her quest for power). But if Lady Justice can get close enough to whisper “it is time” to do the seppuku bit, much “indignity” would be avoided for the American patriot.

“To be very clear, you intend to recuse yourself from both the Clinton email investigation and any matters involving the Clinton Foundation if there are any?” Grassley asked.

      “Yes,” Sessions said firmly.

“Let me follow up again, because it’s important. When you say you’ll recuse, you mean you’ll actually recuse, and the decision will therefore fall to I assume a deputy attorney general?” Grassley asked. “I ask because after Attorney General Lynch met with President Clinton in Phoenix, she said she would ‘defer’ to the FBI, but she never officially recused.”

“No, she did not officially recuse and there’s a procedure for that I would follow. And I believe that would be the best approach for the country, because we can never have a political dispute turn into a criminal dispute, in any way that would suggest anything other than absolute objectivity,” Sessions said. “This country does not punish its political enemies, but this country ensures no one is above the law.”

So in other words, the Clinton’s will be hosting a skating party.

This might be a long shot, but the “conventional wisdom” ( as put forth by the MSM , Graham, McCain) regarding the Russians has a different purpose then what everybody’s

Just got back from walking the dog, again. What hit me this time regarding the Russian
Hacking on and on and on, never shut up is this. What do McCain, Graham, have that we
know for sure. The last person we heard involved in this was Kasich. Answer:
at some point, they’ve accepted money from Soros. Who has the most to lose if Trump
gets in, and looks the other way while Putin comes a knockin? Soros. Who has all these
different foundations to bribe people to do his dirty work, yet he always stays out of any
stories in the MSM? Soros. Who has undoubtedly paid quite a few MSM types under the
table not to mention his deeds, tie him to any of them? Soros. De- legitimaztion of Trump
is one of the goals, maybe not the chief one.Demonizing Putin is another. Who has the most to gain, the most favors to call in to make it happen? Again, Soros. Could be entirely
wrong, but I thought I’d just float the idea. Any input?

That’s why Putin is being drawn into the hacking bit, by inference.

It’s Soros trying to get an insurance policy for his sorry self. If the Russians spirit
him off, then all his paid off network defenders can claim they were right. “Right”
means that Trump and Putin have been working together all this time, at least
in their minds. And, they’ll all be more then willing to speak their minds in this.

But….. Soros is persona non grata in France (wanted). See what happens if Marine Le Pen
gets in. He’s also on the severe s …. list in Britain. Now that Brexit has occurred maybe they’ll want to take him off our hands. Hungary (deservedly) hates his guts. Monique can
maybe fill us in on how Italy regards him, especially now that they’ve had a more user friendly change of regime. Soros’ world is starting to close in. Couldn’t happen to a nicer

  15. Pride before the fall/misplaced arrogance makes this all the more intriguing and interesting as to where it leads. That is, EVERYBODY in the administration just knew Clinton would win the election. It was a certainty. With that belief, caution could be–and was likely– thrown to the wind. I would bet that investigations by the Trump crew will find many instances of candor or, more likely, many instances of the destruction of official records, crimes in and of themselves. To the extent the Foundation investigation was not closed, obstruction and conspiracy charges can follow as well. Here is hoping that these criminals are hoisted on their own petard.

That said, Trump should also throw out some incentives or rewards for lower level whistleblowers/snitches to “come clean”. In all the agencies, especially the IRS, DOJ, FBI, State Department along with EPA, Energy (see, Solyndra) and any others where the stench exists. Perchance to dream.

I have always believed that the Clinton illegal server was set up with the full knowledge of the White House. (Obviously he knew, as he sent her emails at a non-,gov address).

However, it seems to me that this was a way to give unsavory entities, some foreign, access to inside information (whether bearing a clearance or not).

All you would have to do is to give the password to whoever you wanted to have the information. This way you wouldn’t have anyone entering the White House or meeting you in that coffee shop across the street from the WH grounds.

You could leave a note with the password on a restaurant table, on a park bench, wherever. Then all the person would have to do is go home and log on.

All sorts of stuff could have been in those emails, including discussions with Black Lives Matter people, George Soros communications, information sent to or received from the Muslim Brotherhood, etc.

Those missing 30,000 emails are probably chock full of criminal activity, and Obama is probably involved in much of it.

I do not believe that the Clinton server is the only private server used by public officials like this. In fact, I believe most of them on both sides of the aisle have various methods of trying to avoid the public records laws for email and other communications. I know that the local state gov’t employees all use their personal email accounts to discuss things they don’t want going into the state computer system. It only makes sense that the feds do it, as well, and probably on a much larger scale. So I think there are probably many, many such servers set up by government officials of all levels across DC. This, more than anything else, is why I think Hillary was not prosecuted and probably never will be. They all do it, and none of them want to open the can of worms it will be if one of them goes down for it.

I shared some of my beliefs earlier in this thread. After watching the morning portion of the hearing and reading the article on Breitbart (link below), the final sentence really stood out to me in the article. Senator Sessions said, “This country does not punish its political enemies, but this country ensures no one is above the law.”! WOW!

I think PEDJT was brilliant for saying that he has no inclination of going after HRC or her family. He says let them heel. Sessions today was clear that he made statements that could be seen as prejudice during the campaign so he would recuse himself with all things related to the Clintons. That is exactly what PEDJT said without saying it approximately 2 months ago.

That final sentence says it all folks! Their intentions were to separate themselves by going on record but NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW! I truly now believe that the release on Sunday night was clearly meant for this hearing. Not only to get Sessions on record but to send a clear signal to the Clintons and Barry from Hawaii that a special prosecutor will be overseeing all evidence pertaining to the server as well as the Clinton Foundation. This allows Trump and Sessions to stay clear of any political fallout while they can take care of immigration and everything else needed to MAGA!.

I also feel strongly that Comey was a black hat. I don’t even think he was aware that this drop was going to occur. The white hats said they would be monitoring a smooth transition and the actions of the current administration was anything but. The fear that must be going on among these animals today must be at defcon 5.

Trump will not back down and that last sentence told me everything I need to know! DRAIN THE DAMN SWAMP!

  29. I love this article, thank you so much Sundance for sharing it with me. 🙂 I am still reading through it.

Please keep in mind that this was not a Sunday doc dump. It is still not on the FBI Vault site.
    https://vault.fbi.gov/hillary-r.-clinton
And the FBI Vault Twitter account has not Tweeted it out.
    https://twitter.com/FBIRecordsVault
Nor has the FBI released a statement on it.

I mentioned on Twitter to PE Trump that I was tired of giving dishonest MSM types good leads that they profit from (while I have collected nothing in all of this). I could have kept the document to myself and went through it with an exclusive to make money. I want to be clear that I do not mean CTH when I say dishonest media. I want CTH to be the new MSM. They deserve it for all of their hard work. 🙂 ~Katica

Imagine the problem if Hillary is Indicted and a trial ensued. How likely is it that in a nation equally divided pro Trump / pro Hillary that you can get a jury that would convict.

One is reminded of the Fugitive slave trials in the North.
There is a reason that Jury Nulification is still part of the American justice system even though judges try to ban any mention of it.

How bad would it be to go through the entire motion only to have the jury come back with Not Guilty or just a Deadlocked jury.

After January 20, 2017 somebody will be charged or a investigation will insue. I would think it would be from the back door where nobody is looking. The process will end at the beginning making the pardon a non issue. With so much corruption having taken place over such a long period, many individuals have saved data to CYA. It will be exposed.
If the pardons are issued, that is where the investigation will end by connecting the the dots.

    SD,
I cannot honestly contemplate a pardon that could reach all of the possible crimes of Hillary Clinton. The crimes do not arise out of a specific set of articulable facts. Some involve the sale of guns and weapons to enemies of the United States. Some involve the illegal sales of weapons and intelligence to war zones prohibited by the UN. Some involve the drug trade. Some involve. Human Trafficking. Some would involve RICO with people in and out of Congress.

Whether you disagree with any one of these possibilities or not Obama will have to identify the conduct he is pardoning. Good luck with that regarding Hillary Clinton.

Supposing there is a big mess of evidence likely to bring down a series of very powerful & connected folks… and you had someone who could pardon them… but only for about 10 more days…

Allowing them to be prosecuted, would expose many other powerful people and agendas. The NY Times and WaPo have spent their credibility trying to get us to chant Russia — so there’s only so much spin they can add.

    A different strategy:
Present a ‘small issue’ (leak to Blumenthal) to the public, say the media is blowing it all out of proportion, issue a very blanket pardon and cover as many powerful folks as you feel you can. The pardon will cover FAR more than giving confidential info to Blumenthal – mark my words.

That helps head off the coming investigation… (which would get into very dangerous territory)

They either just let it go with the pardons… or if we (the public) are too unruly, they throw us a goat. Probably Podesta, Wiener, or Uma.
