ISIS Claims Responsibility For Berlin Attack – Terrorist on The Loose…

The latest developments in the terrorist attack in Berlin show a specific and intentional act of Jihad against the German Christmas Market.  ISIS has claimed responsibility:

(Via Daily Beast) A “soldier” of the Islamic State carried out the truck attack in Berlin on Monday evening, the terrorist group claimed through its unofficial news agency. Twelve people were killed and dozens more injured when a hijacked truck loaded with steel crashed into a popular Christmas market. A suspect was detained near the scene by German authorities but released on Tuesday, when they said they did not have proof he was the individual driving the truck. (link)

This comes as increasing pressure against Chancellor Angela Merkel continues to mount, even from within her own political party.  As reported by the UK Express: Klaus Bouillon of Mrs Merkel’s CDU party said told Saarland radio:

“We must state that we are in a state of war, although some people who want to see only the good can not see.”

[…]  Mrs Merkel addressed the public this morning calling for an investigation into how the carnage happened.

Police raided a refugee camp in a disused airport at 4am this morning, where a suspect known as Naved B was known to be living.

But police sources have later said that they have “the wrong man” and that the real culprit is on the run and armed.  (more)

This is true. If you are muslim and carry out an attack, then IS considers you a “brother” (or “sister”) and thus IS.

I take a differing view that this obsession in our media with IS is making us forget that all of these groups are interconnected and do work together — which takes away from the fact that our government has been supporting certain factions of this same organism for a while now.
Little known fact: over half of the leadership of ALL known Islamic movements are either in or closely connected to the MB (a group that is at present working within our own government)…they are all the same; the media has been doing a great job of getting many to just focus on IS.
I am not saying anyone here is guilty of making that mistake, but many around the globe are — and it is largely due to the media’s portrayal (and IS claiming everything, which the media allows).
We have to look at what is a much bigger picture.

By the way: Erdogan is full of it imhao — the assassin is most likely not a Gulenist (not that I care for them but Mattis is right — first you have to be able to name who you’re up against); most of the Gulenists were purged following the coup and are rotting in Turkish gulags right now; they certainly wouldn’t be left in a police special op force that has provided security for AKP rallies…if one is going to look for a group he belonged to, my bets would be on the hard pro-islamist faction of Erdogan’s own AKP and…the MB (who Erdogan has given sanctuary to). I finally watched the video of that poor schmuck getting assassinated…it stinks to high heaven, along with all the different versions of “who dunnit” coming out of Ankara. That’s why I mention MB.

Only if they really want to know the real motive. But the Marxists are not interested in motive. Motive means human agency. They are more interested in material “cause(s).” The default cause is either mental illness or poverty or discrimination. As such, the suspect will not be really held accountable. It will be due to something outside of himself – most likely “racist” Germans.

Christmas (open air) Markets are popular in cities and towns all across Europe and the U.K. They are a favorite shopping venue for special items, many of which are not widely available at other times of year. It is ridiculous to tell people they must “carry on” regardless. Who wants to risk shopping with children in a crowded, largely unsecured area, vulnerable to all kinds of vehicles? Even areas designated ‘Pedestrian Only’ are accessible by delivery trucks.

        • James Crawford says:

This is laziness by the journalist. The truck used as a weapon was a typical, umbiquous European combination of a single drive axel, cabover tractor towing three axel trailer. This is in contrast to the American standard of a tandem drive axle, conventional cab tractor towing a tandem axel trailer. Depending on local jurisdictions, the usual, gross vehicle weight of either combination is 40 tons. I have read that the truck used in the attack was hauling a load of steel beams, so the weight was probably near 40 tons.

Now consider the probable result of a 40 ton truck impacting something like concrete Jersey barrier or similsr barrier which might weigh 2 to 4 tons at may be 40 mph.. The initial result is a 40 ton truck with a 2 to 4 ton concrete barrier stuck to its bumper traveling at 32 to 36 mph. The subsequent condition deprnding on details might be the truck traceling through the debris from the shattered barrier, pushing the barrier aside, or still pushing the barrier. The bottom line is that only an extremely massive or strong, PERMAMENT barrier will stop a 40 ton truck. The only protection results from the impsct damage to the truck that will occur unless the truck is modified with s reinforced bumper and frame.

This truck stopped only because of mechanical problems resulting from the impact.

It is impossible. People are not lined up like soldiers to watch a motorcade. They are milling all around, in every direction. The barriers still have to allow for truck/van delivery of goods to the market huts/stalls.

That is exactly it. That is exactly what Merkel is doing in Germany. Christmas markets have a centuries old tradition in that country. People will give them up — in effect, giving up their culture, their religion (what little is left of it), and their freedom — out of fear and a desire for security and stability (and one cannot blame them; this is human nature, the desire to try and survive is very strong…people’s adaptability to a new set of societal rules is what is banked upon). These are all part and parcel.

Uhm, you do realize that the charity you listed is under the same organizations listed by Podesta in that “Catholic Spring” e-mail, right?
All of the churches (and synagogues — this isn’t just a Christian problem) have very liberal groups that have attached themselves to many of the relief organizations (they usually did start out far more affiliated with their parent churches/synagogues than at present) that no longer do the bidding of the actual church. They still carry the name of a church or synagogue, but they are more under the auspices of the government than anything else.

That’s why you can get such things as this happening…throw in some people who want to be genuinely charitable; couple that with Judeo-Christian teachings on what to do about refugees (they are not supposed to turn people away; to do so goes against the concept of charity). No, this is just providing cover for the state’s actions…do you seriously believe that Angela Merkel, Hillary Clinton, or any of the rest are that closely connected with actual anything religious?
They have been very clever about using the very things that makes Western society good and worth defending, and turning these against it though — I’ll give them that; very clever indeed.
And then the already largely unchurched will turn even more away from religion…which leaves them open to the sort of New Age paganist statism that folks like Merkel and the Clintons want people to follow any way.
              See? very clever, very dangerous.

And one of the reasons this all happened is because people got rather complacent and lazy, quit going to church/synagogue and at the same time started wanting “Dr. Everything-will-be-alright” religion rather than their actual faith being taught to them (when they actually bothered to really get taught it at all)…at that point it was very easy to execute the next step…

            -snip-

Catholic Charities/U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops: These nominally Catholic organizations are the largest VOLAGs, with hundreds of offices spread throughout the country. They are prominent members of the open borders/amnesty movement. The Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) is “the domestic anti-poverty program of the U.S. Catholic Bishops” and a grant-making vehicle of the USCCB. It was founded in Chicago in 1969 with the help of radical organizer Saul Alinsky, specifically to fund Alinsky’s Industrial Areas Foundation. CCHD has been a radical leftist funding vehicle ever since, giving millions to ACORN, the radical training school Midwest Academy, and others. The Industrial Areas Foundation, where a young Barack Obama was trained in “community organizing” with financial support from the Chicago Archdiocese, receives the largest percentage of CCHD grants of any CCHD grantee.

President Obama had this to say about CCHD:

I got my start as a community organizer working with mostly Catholic parishes on the Southside of Chicago that were struggling because the steel plants had closed. The Campaign for Human Development helped fund the project and so, very early on, my career was intertwined with the belief in social justice that is so strong in the Church.

One measure of an ambassador’s effectiveness can be how well-connected he is in Washington. Here, a political appointee like Mr. Rivkin can enjoy a significant advantage.

“He has a very good relationship with both the Obamas,” said Brown Johnson, president for animation of the Nickelodeon television channel, who has known Mr. Rivkin for 10 years.

Mr. Rivkin’s brother, Robert, general counsel at the Transportation Department, and his wife, Cindy, have been friends of the Obamas for 20 years.

Charles Rivkin has other intriguing connections. His father, William R. Rivkin, was ambassador to Luxembourg, Senegal and Gambia. After his death in 1967, Charles Rivkin’s godfather, Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey, helped the family create an award for constructive dissent, the Rivkin Award, given annually under auspices of the American Foreign Service Association to a midcareer Foreign Service officer. The Rivkin family helps select the winner, and have since Charles was a child. “His lasting legacy, and one I’m proud of — my father did not tolerate yes-men,” Charles Rivkin said.

Owner of company (and driver’s cousin) said that he had been turned away from the Krupp plant the day before *he was a day early; and that he had parked his truck nearby and gone to get some food…and (this was purged from Euro news, but is in the Polish news) they had been joking about the lack of Germans in the area and the amount of muslims.
Considering the size of the driver and his injuries and the data about the truck (as reported by the company) — our jihadist had accomplices., and this was an attack of opportunity (meaning they are already versed enough somewhere to do these sort of jobs, and not the large acts we have seen in the past, which is actually more dangerous in many ways).

He new that the church has lost its way. That was over 40 years ago, it has only gotten worse.

I do not see how it recovers at this point.

Have they said WHY they don’t believe it was the Pakistani refugee, outside of his denial? I’ve heard there was no DNA evidence in the truck. How is that possible to even know that already? The media seems to be questioning whether it was terrorism…. but ISIS has taken responsibility already. The whole thing sounds really fishy. I sure would like to know where this released suspect ends up.

Should not all trucking companies with large rigs (and when ISIS has issued warnings!!) keep in constant contact with all drivers so they know quickly if driver is possibly dead or kidnapped? Much like ATC for aircraft. And should not a truck parking area be guarded? Just like airports??

IMHO what Americans go through to board an airplane is another step towards a police state, for one example.

This driver was in constant contact with the home office. The truck also had GPS tracking.

The driver was hauling steel beams from Italy to a firm in Berlin. He got to Berlin and couldn’t be unloaded, and had to wait to the next day.

The driver told the owner in Poland that the area the firm in Berlin was located in was full of muslims. I don’t know whether he drove somewhere else or not, but he wanted to go get something to eat, and that was the last contact his wife or boss had with him.

The trucks owner said that GPS tracking showed that the truck was started 3 times after the last call from the driver, as if someone was practicing driving it.

Europe has strict driving laws regarding driving time per day, and there are ‘truck stop’ like areas that the big rigs can park. As an example, big rigs can’t drive from Saturday noon to midnight Sunday. If you are on the autobahn, all the rest areas are jammed with rigs during those hours. IOW, it is very predictable where the rigs will park.

If this firm in Berlin had a lot of deliveries, then the residents there would know where the trucks waiting to be unloaded would park for the night and where the drivers would go to eat.

I don’t think it was lack of tracking in this case, rather the predictability of the process.

Just looked at BILD online and they are reporting that an autopsy was done on the driver and that the driver was alive at the time of the incident.

The Paki suspect was released because he didn’t have powder residue or blood traces, so it looks like the police are going with the driver being shot while at the scene.

Lot of criticism of the Police for the unsuccessful manhunt.

I wonder if the German (supposedly) guy who trailed the Paki and reported him to the police was a stooge. BILD reported his story kept changing, one other reason why the Paki was released.

ISIS is actually shortsighted, impatient, and STUPID (thank GOD!). With their increasingly horrible attacks, Germany and the rest of Europe may actually wake up in time and stop the hijrah. If the attacks ended, the hijrah would continue smoothly in time for a 51% muslim population by 2050 — the end of Western Civilization and the beginning of sharia law and a caliphate — through conquest by migration. I always understood that muslims thought of their whole history as current event — which is why the shia/sunni split is so fresh in all their minds.

Just to help people understand how royally FUBARed the German people are, I refer you to this Population Pyramid from IndexMundi.

    http://www.indexmundi.com/germany/age_structure.html

This is obviously an odd looking “pyramid” because it is inverted. This severely distorted population pyramid attests to the fact that Germans have been far fewer children than are needed to maintain their population. Merkel knows this and she is extremely cognizant of the economic consequences of the decline in people in the workforce. Germany’s economy will soon be shrinking which will make it impossible to fund the pensions and social services for the elderly.

The key fact to take notice of is the number of males of military age, 15 to 35 years old, is fewer than 10 million total. This is important because with few notable exceptions, the only people who really matter in deciding who wins a civil war are military age males.

The most recent data indicates that the total muslim population of Germany is about 6 million or a bit over 7% of the population. As many people have observed, a grossly disproportionate number of the current surge of muslim migrants are military age males. The German government isto PC to collect precise demographic data, but it would appear that well over 25% of military age males in Germany are muslim.

The native german males are not yet out numbered, but they will be outmsnned and betrayed by their elites.

The Death of Europe – How the Mohammed retirement plan will kill Europe.
        http://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/260511/death-europe-daniel-greenfield

“Mohammed is Fritz’s retirement plan. Fritz is counting on Mohammed to work while he relaxes.

“But Mohammed has a very different type of plan. Mohammed relaxes and expects Fritz to work. Fritz is not related to him and therefore Mohammed sees no reason why he should work to support him.

“Mohammed’s Imam will tell him to work off the books because paying into the system is gambling. However taking money out of the system is just Jizya; the money non-Muslims are obligated to pay to Muslims. Under Islamic law, it’s better for Mohammed to sell drugs than to pay taxes.

“That’s why drug dealing and petty crime are such popular occupations for Salafis in Europe. It’s preferable to steal from infidels than to participate in the great gamble of the European welfare state.

“Mohammed isn’t staking his future on the shaky pensions of European socialism. He invests in what social scientists call social capital.

“He plans his retirement by having a dozen kids. If this lifestyle is subsidized by infidel social services, so much the better. And when social services collapse, those of his kids who aren’t in prison or in ISIS will be there to look after him in his golden years.

“As retirement plans go, it’s older and better than the European model.

“Mohammed doesn’t worry much about the future. Even if he doesn’t make it past six kids, by the time he’s ready to retire the European country he’s living in will probably be an Islamic State. And he is confident that whatever its arrangements are, they will be better and more just than the infidel system.”
